PoliticsRe: Nigerian Oil Minister Allison Madueke Buys 20 Million Euro Mansion In Vienna, Au by pheesayor(m): 10:34am On Nov 09, 2011
Mr. President Sir and Fellow Nigerians, it is yet another shame of insult in far away Vienna, Austria, Europe. According to a shocking bomb revelation by a free daily newspaper in Vienna, Austria called “Heute”, there is a secret mansion villa worth 20 million euro bought by the current oil minister Mrs Allison Madueke. The headline reads “ Ministerin aus Hungerland Kauft sich 20-Millonen-Villa in Wien” (Female Minister From Hungerland Buys Herself 20 Million Euro Villa In Vienna). As provoking and insulting as this headline yet I have been forced to swallow my pride to say that I am very grateful to “Heute” for the exposure of this unpatriotic display of the oil minister because her behavior is more provoking and insulting than the headline.

Here is the full translated version of the above text as reported by the newspaper:
"Big turbulence about the Nigerian Oil Minister Diezani Allison-Madueke (50)! According to Nigerian media the politician is said to have bought a villa in Vienna for just under 20 Million Euro – even though a major part of the population in her home country is living below the poverty line and children are dying daily of starvation. The exact location of her luxury lodging is secret, but Allison-Madueke is enthusiastic about the big garden and the estate referring to it in the internet as “architectonic masterpiece”. One of her neighbors is said to be former OPEC boss Rilwanu Lukman who is also from Nigeria."

The "Heute" newspaper said that their news was taken from Nigerian media and I have tried to google such news without success. However, I trust them because they are civilized and cannot publish such damaging news like this one without being sure. Consequently oil minister, we are expecting you to challenge the newspaper in court and restore your dignity if you say it is not true or bow out from that position peacefully.

Dear Nigerians, we all know how impossible it is for a civil servant to save 20 million euro cash in buying a house. In a developed country like Austria where I am living you cannot live above your income without being questioned by the authority. Therefore, how did the minister get this huge amount of money in buying such a mansion? When did she buy the “Villa”? Could it be before she became a minister or after? Could this be her only mansion outside Nigeria? Is she the only minister or government official involved in this wickedness? If this money should be in Nigeria it will definitely help our economy. With this money factories could be comfortably opened and jobless graduates rooming around the streets gainfully employed and crime reduced. How did this get exposed you might ask? Nigerians are very curious and furious. Rumor moving round Vienna, Austria has it that the person that helped her in buying the house was not properly settled, therefore “Yawa must gas”. Those that are praying for Nigeria should please never stop praying because God is in control. Remember our president appealed to us Nigerians to keep on praying for him because he is seeing terrible Goliaths all over Nigeria. Goliaths he said that are ready to kill their father and mother, even their children just to stop his government. Today we can shout hallalujah because one of those Goliaths has been miraculously exposed through our prayers.

Another interesting open secret was the saying that her luxury mansion was close to that of the former oil minister Rilwanu Lukman. What it could mean is that the former ex oil minister's house cannot be at anything less than Allison Madueke's mansion in terms of value and luxury if not more. If this should be a true statement, when did Rilwanu Lukman buy his own mansion? How did he get such money? As a former public office holder he must equally be investigated.

Will EFCC do their job very well? Or are we going to see another probe committee that will never see the light of the day as usual? I weep for my country!
On this note Mr. President Sir, I as a concerned angry Nigerian humbly request for the immediate suspension of this minister, because she will not honorably resign due to the uncivilized way of most Nigerian politicians with regard to past events. I also appeal to Nigerians in Austria through this medium to come together and support a planned peaceful protest by a group of concerned Nigerians. Furthermore, I equally appeal to other Nigerians all over the world to get in touch so that we may have a one day worldwide protest against this shame if possible, because we are all involved.
Mr. President Sir, Nigerians are watching.

before my uncle got married in 1999, he was warned not to marry the woman that she will bear three children (which she has now) but will destabilize him, he refused and went ahead to marry her. Immediately after marriage he lost his job, the wife has become something else to the rest of the family. The whole family now avoids him because of his wife. He's still jobless but no one is ready to help him.

By Mohammed Salihu

Which kind of ‘friend’ will come to your house in the middle of the night to apologize for writing falsehoods about you in newspapers and explain that he was only doing it to get appointed as Special Assistant to the President on Communications? I will answer this poser shortly.

I read Reno Omokri’s articles ‘Getting better and not bitter’ and ‘Again on El-Rufai and bitterness’ in response to some veritable questions asked the Jonathan administration by former FCT minister Nasir El-Rufai, I found both quite revealing: sycophantic in tone, full of lies and exaggerations, and clearly intended to be seen as the work of a very patriotic Nigerian. Both were quite frankly, utterly idiotic.

“Let me state that I do not believe that his (El-Rufai’s) piece is an accurate account of current realities in Nigeria,” declares Omokri in his first piece. And in the second piece he went on to imply, disingenuously, that El-Rufai was criticizing the government for selfish reasons (for not getting what he wanted) by declaring ”so what happened in the intervening period? You guessed your answer right- bitterness as a result of unfulfilled expectations.”

In both articles, he muddles the issues raised – even irrefutable facts about the state of our economy without providing any logical explanation. Having decided to be mischievous and misleading – just to suppress the truth, he rattled around all the valid points and analysis provided by El-Rufai. He even attributes the problems to previous governments, while suggesting that what was needed to restore the country to normalcy was for El-Rufai to keep quiet and support President Goodluck Jonathan while the mismanagement goes on.

The new crops of political jobbers like Reno Omokri are very much in the mould of Daniel Kanu’s Youths Earnestly Ask for Abacha YEAA. Reno lacks the framework to make sense of events and has therefore chosen to ignore reason, honesty, loyalty and even simple friendships. He ‘eats’ by attacking with hysterical exaggeration, any analysis that should serve as a wakeup call for his paymasters and indeed, the rest of Nigerians. Awful, but understandable

The positions most people take depend on their personal interests. And oftentimes, people have less than honorable motives in assuming the positions they assume in public. My short political encounter with Omokri was a big eye opener. When I first met him last year in the United States, he wanted us to come together to be the arrowheads for the political activities of a man he considered more fit than anyone else to manage the affairs of Nigeria – Nasir El- Rufai. I did not know why he felt that way then and why he now considers the same man to be unbecoming of a statesman.
He frantically sent me this email:

Dear Mallam Salihu,
We need to have a long term plan to change the mind of skeptical Nigerians and show them a new way of leadership. Contrary to what a lot of people believe, such a plan should be simple not complicated.

We need to build a grass root movement like the one built by Joe Trippi with the Dean campaign in The U.S and with the Tsvangirai campaign in Zimbabwe. This has to be a long term strategy. Our task is therefore to use web based tools to solidify our base which is the educated youth and middle class who see Mallam El Rufai for what he is and have a favourable opinion of him and we have to follow a template that worked well for MKO Abiola by using philanthropy and humanitarianism to penetrate the psyche of the ordinary grass root Nigerian who is suspicious of politicians in general and views MallamEl Rufai as an elitist.

My plan is simply this, to return to Nigeria sometime in the near future and use Mallam Nasir’s Council for Youth Empowerment to wake up sleeper cells that I have planted over the years in Nigeria and organise them into an army of volunteers who will immediately go to disaster areas such as places which have experienced floods, building collapse, multi car accidents, epidemics (like the Cholera epidemic/Zamfara lead poisoning outbreak) etc and in the name of the Council and it’s founder Mallam Nasir provide some form of community service to the victims. They will also go to Motherless babies homes and orphanages as well as leper colonies.

In the social arena, they will tour both private and public universities and organise the students to clean up their environments and renounce cultism as well as provide them with tokens such as books and condoms to reduce the risk of HIV infections amongst the student population. We will also get inexpensive eye glasses and over the counter medications from bargain stores in the U.S and give these to rural communities. This will be followed immediately by intense media spotlight which I will personally direct. The end result is that subliminally, we will affect the minds of Nigerians such that when they think of the name Mallam Nasir El Rufai, they will immediately think of his volunteers and their good work because EVERYTHING that is done will be acknowledged by my people to be done under the inspiration of Mallam El Rufai.
Regards,
Reno. “

El-Rufai has never told anyone that he has ambitions to be president. In the run up to last April’s elections, there was intense pressure from many quarters for him to contest the presidency, but he maintained that all the other contestants were his friends and would not want to run against the, especially Nuhu Ribadu. Upon hearing this, it became clear that Reno wouldn’t be sailing on the El-Rufai boat, so he quickly jumped ship, and even deleted me from his Facebook account. When I confronted him about it he had this to say:
“Mohammed,
Thank you for your email. You are my brother and I appreciate you. I was forced into the deletion because it was leading to an expose of private details. I will re add you but let us avoid getting too deep
in our disagreements.
Best regards,

Reno.”

I am not surprised that Reno has become the attack dog now that GEJ is captain of the ship. When looters fear that their racket is being imperiled by a powerful figure using inspiring messages, they looters will obviously try to destroy that figure and his reputation using any means at their disposal. Reno is willing to do just about anything to get into the pot.
I urge Reno to learn from history. All men that did his kind of hatchet job got nowhere. For the paymasters, Reno can be sacrificed as collateral damage. He is being used as a pawn in their spinelessly orchestrated effort to perpetuate their sinister acts. He is inconsequential and will be easily discarded when the need arises. And as to why Reno takes particular pleasure in smearing the man he once believed best suited to be president, an email he sent to El-Rufai in October 24, 2010 and copied me will explain:

Dear Mallam Nasir,
I am playing with an idea in my mind. I am thinking of taking time off (a sabbatical so to say) and coming to Nigeria as a free moral agent to try to influence the direction of the 2011 elections. I am convinced that if I am on the ground my influence will be greater. I would want to arrange something on the ground similar to what Trippi did in Zimbabwe and organize private citizen groups and equip them with technology and skills to monitor the elections clandestinely and relay video and oral reports to the world media in real time and force the government and the INEC to be honest and conduct free and fair elections. One thing holding me back is that I will need accommodation in Abuja. I have been exploring options but Abuja is even more expensive than the U.S and landlords are demanding 2 years rent in advance. Respectfully sir, I was wondering if you could help in this regard.
Regards,
Reno.

El-Rufai was unable to pay Reno’s house rent; from that moment on, he became an enemy. Today, from the comfort of his suite at the Transcorp Hilton (paid with taxpayers’ money), Reno can come up with all the falsehoods he dreams of; he has to be seen to be doing something. I wanted to end this piece by saying something about mediocrity, but Omokri and his team aren’t mediocre. What’s going on is something different and worse: we’re seeing the desire for political positions outweighing principles; we’re seeing vague prejudice (that just so happens to serve the interests of demagogues) trumping very honest analysis.

And this answers the poser I raised at the beginning of this piece: All the insults, misrepresentations, exaggerations and outright lies being told by Reno Omokri is geared towards one thing: securing the position of Special Assistant to the President on Communications. He has confessed as much to his ‘friend’, Nasir El-Rufai!

PoliticsRe: Buhari Speaks On Fuel Subsidy Removal by pheesayor(m): 10:06pm On Oct 25, 2011
SUBSIDY REMOVAL: THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS!!! – GEN. BUHARI (Rtd.) (Text Version)

Question: Sir, what is your view on the subsidy question?
Gen. Buhari (rtd.): I don’t understand what the Nigerian economists and members of Government mean by their definition? That they are subsidizing Nigerian crude oil. Who is subsidizing who?
The Nigerian oil industry was developed with Nigerian capital. Most of the expertise is Nigerians, if you go into the field.
It is Nigerian capital, Nigerian oil. What I understand Nigeria should charge Nigerians is the cost of getting oil from the well and then the cost of transportation to the refinery, cost of refining and its cost at the pump.
If anybody says he is subsidizing anything, he is a fraud. So when these people talk about subsidy… who is subsidizing who?
But there is so much fraud as I said before so I don’t talk about it. But the day I have to talk about it, I will ask the Petroleum Economists to come and tell me who is subsidizing Nigerians? Nigerian Oil? Whose oil is it?
We have four refineries with the capacity of four hundred and eighty thousand (480,000) barrels per day. That is if they are functioning at full capacity, because of corruption, they have virtually allowed those refineries to become so inefficient that I don’t think they produce up to half their capacity. Now instead of taking the balance of what we have outside to be refined outside as we used to ,when there was a Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) when I was in Petroleum, hardly Nigerians know. Because we negotiate with oil companies, we say ok Nigerians use two hundred thousand (200,000) barrels a day, take two hundred thousand (200,000) barrels a day, you refine it, you bring the refined product back to us, you sell the rest of the thing we don’t need. And then you call it subsidy. It is Nigerian crude. Who asked them to take commission for what they have refined?
Then our refineries, we built three (3) more refineries. It used to be one in Port Harcourt. We built another one in Port Harcourt, One Hundred and Fifty Thousand (150,000) capacity with the old one of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand (250,000) capacity, Warri One Hundred Thousand (100,000) capacity, and Kaduna One Hundred Thousand (100,000) capacity. Is there supposed to be any cut? Now if you are taking Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand (250,000) barrels to be refined outside. All you have to do is to fill the fee for this refining and you bring your own oil inside it, and the people are saying that they are subsidizing. Who are they subsidizing? I don’t understand it and I need the Petroleum economist to explain to me this question of subsidy. It is share fraud and corruption!

PoliticsReasons Why We Must #occupy by pheesayor(op): 1:08pm On Oct 25, 2011
Sorry if this is too long

Nigeria is a great rich country. That is the story my father told me till I was of age, it’s the same I have heard from the few credible role models I have met this year. It is the story most of us know; it is the story in theory. Only in Potentials and Speeches. Nothing else. I was honoured to hear the same from General Buhari last week, that ours is “a country filled with unbelievable potentials, our problem is just that we are indisciplined and corrupt. If I (General Buhari) make it till the next 10 years, I may be senile. It is left to you to save and deliver this nation”. Yes other countries have leap-frogged us because we operate a corrupt, lethargic, clueless and severely weak government. We must save it from the dungeon of inexplicable cataclysm.

Nigeria is a great country. Most of us don’t know it, we have never experienced it. Yes we see the wealth flaunted on our streets, mostly by the looters and some elites; but we are not part of it. Nigeria has 2.5% of the proven reserve of the world oil yet it also has 8.03% of the world poor people. She has been assaulted, looted, gang-raped and continuously been molested by a set of unrepentant soul-less entity. They are called Our Leaders. Most are guilty, trust me almost none are exempt.

Our local government bodies are filled mostly with miscreants who misuse and abuse our public trust. They spend at the behest of their rapacious desire and an insatiable thirst to amass wealth. With at least #100 million earned accruing to the local government coffers a month; there is much that can be done. What has been done?

The State and Federal government with much of the remaining resources do the same. Though the opportunities of Nigeria as a great nation stare us in the face; we have little to show for it. Our government is radically committed to the enrichment of their families and cronies, not the welfare of the people. Their actions justify my claim. While I appreciate our angst consistently on social media; today my clarion call is loud and direct. IT IS TIME TO #OCCUPY.

Today, I present to you certain reasons why your silence is no longer acceptable; and why your non-violent actions will result in the actual transformation of this Nation. We must not fail to deliver our nation from these elements. If we won’t succeed at the polls owing to the obvious manipulation at collation centres; we must on the street; defiant in our protest against these insensitivity.

Nigeria is not safe if left in the hands of these cabals; they are inept, adamantly corrupt, maladroit, and consistently decisive on plundering Nigeria till it finally collapses.

The seat of Looting

OVERPAID LAWMAKERS: Why would they subscribe to keeping these outrageous fees to themselves in official/legal allocations as well as in multiple logistics operation? The fees ascribed to Members of the House of Reps in Nigeria as well as Senators are slightly less than 1 million a day. The Senate President is reported to be earning N250 million quarterly or N83.33 million per month, while his deputy earns N50 million per month. The Senate has allocated N1.02 billion as quarterly allowance to its 10 principal officers, known collectively as Senate leadership.“Each of the other principal officers earns N78 million every three months or N26 million per month. This tragic state of affairs is clearly unsustainable. Those engaged in this feeding frenzy are endangering our democracy. It is outrageous, especially in an economy where the poverty incidence is 76 percent, where 76 out of every 100 people live below N150 per day, there is no justification to what the law makers, political officeholders, governors, council chairmen and councilors are earning. We need a system change.By calculations alone, if we protest and ask them to reduce this by 50%; we will be saving close to #320billion in four years. That alone will create great jobs for the people; through building infrastructure, Agriculture research and other investments.

OIL SUBSIDY: Why would they subject Nigerians ceaselessly to painful sufferings by resolving to remove Oil subsidy without concise measures to salvage the nation from exploitation? Oil subsidy no matter how good the intention is untimely in calculation and should be refused by all means. Must we all become totally incapacitated due to economic hardship before we think straight? Must we endure the oncoming pain when the government will divert same into recurrent expenditure which obviously will be squandered?

UNEMPLOYMENT: Why would we have the unlimited wealth in potentials yet we are massively UNEMPLOYED as young people? Measures to salvage this by introducing the YouWIN scheme while admirable is not sufficient enough. The #300billion we will save from overpaid lawmakers should they reduce their fees will help generate employment. The government seems to be guessing without concise plans to solve the unemployment issue. There are lands, multiple and available to state and federal governments. What would it take to resort to massive agriculture to solve our intensely growing unemployment rates?

BLOATED & CORRUPT EXECUTIVE BRANCH WITH OVERHEAD OF 75% OF NATIONAL BUDGET: Corruption thrives everywhere in Nigeria. It is the poster of recognition of the Nigerian government in International circles; it is the symbol of the Nigerian business environment. Don’t forget our ranking in Transparency International, which ranked us 134 (out of 178 countries) in their Corruption Perception Index 2010. We must re-define our nation by refusing to accept this stupid and reckless dealings at all levels of leadership. You expect policemen to keep you safe; do you know how much they are robbed off of their salaries? Do you know how much they pay a Private everyday to feed his family? #500. Ask and verify

DEPLETED EXCESS CRUDE ACCOUNT & FOREIGN RESERVES: President Jonathan alone has spent $3.5b in the reserve in 2011. What has this resulted in? Who has benefitted? What has changed? These are the questions we must ask.

EPILEPTIC POWER SUPPLY & INADEQUATE INFRASTRUCTURE: This crippling hydra-headed monster has not only rendered businesses hopeless, but has being the main clog hindering bright minds from actualizing a lot of potentials.

DESTRUCTION OF THE JUDICIARY: We all recount the shameful exit of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the Justice of the Appeal Court. We remember vividly the characteristically high-handedness of the President to subjugate every dissenting voice. If the court is the last hope of the common man, then what hope do we have in Nigeria? Young people must arise. We have had enough.

INSECURITY: We all remember how the government and its cronies resorted to name-calling of Gen. Buhari as regards the post-election violence while the President himself refused to act immediately by condemning the act. We remember how this same President refused to speak until 5 hours had passed after the UN bombing incident. It is this same insecurity scenario that has resulted in foreign bodies strictly warning their citizens from coming here. How can we pay so much for nothing? The intelligence, security budget is the highest in our budget; this was Elrufai’s cry; it was the same reason he was temporarily “seized”. How on earth can we expect investors to come to a country incessantly in bedlam? The President cares less about us, if not, what concise measures has he taken to resolve our security? If relatives or children belonging to our government officials have been shot or killed, would things be the same? We seriously transfer the blames to the police for not protecting us, for collecting bribes on the streets. The Governor of the CBN, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, said recently on Channels TV that he doesn’t know how the salaries of Private Recruits are handled. Rather than be paid the original #115,000 as provided by the CBN, they are paid #48,000. So where does the money go? We have serious issues! We input so much money into security; yet we have no intelligence gathering units whatsoever, no infiltration techniques. Everybody walks around in daylight hoping if it’s not the last on earth.
Our houses and families are filled with men capable of employment, educated or skilled in one craft or the other, they are unemployed. How many are as against who is employed in your family: 1, 2, everyone? #occupy

If you do not benefit from the government and its institutions at all levels as you are rightfully meant to; then YOU have a genuine reason to #occupy.

If you think Nigeria deserves better than the confused, unstable and slavery methodologies of the government; then YOU must #occupy

It costs us HUGE to keep this CLUELESS MALADROITS in power, get tired. Cost of running this government for non-performance is way too high. #occupy

They run your country like a Totalitarian entity; it’s your nation also. You deserve the land, the opportunities, the benefits, the rights; etc that any Nigerian is entitled to. #occupy

Get tired of a government who professes to handle corruption; only in words. Get tired of a government who celebrates the release of a corrupt ex-convict (Bode George) gallantly and unashamedly. Get tired. Public looters (leaders) exploit us, are charged to court and subsequently get away with little or nothing to serve as deterrents. This is the reason corruption thrives. Corrupt people are government sponsors and supporters, honest ones are humiliated, disgraced and embarrassed. Get tired. #occupy

If you think we deserve better than we have, and that the status quo of non-performance/under-performance is unacceptable; then YOU have to #occupy.

If you know that looting, stealing, plundering, and expropriating our public resources is unethical, self-centred and destructive towards our national building; then you must #occupy.

If you are tired of these underhand dealings, of these corruptions, of untold human suffering, of cruel hardship imposed through the actions of men of our kind in OUR OWN RIGHTFUL NATION; then you must #occupy.

In 100 days of the new dispensation, your Legislative leaders met just 10 times yet collected outrageous salaries. It’s time to #occupy

Your government spent #50billion alone last year for independence celebrations (celebrating shame, ignominy and under-development). #occupy

If you know talented/skilled young men and women who could have been better given an ENABLING ENVIRONMENT to work and perform to their maximum capability; then YOU must #occupy.

I know extremely gifted computer programmers who can do more than Mark Zuckerberg did with Facebook (if we had the Light and other resources required to make it work), we need to #occupy.

This is the time, do not wait till our parents suffer before we feed them, and do not wait till we can afford to survive in this country. The oncoming tide of pain that will be inflicted with government actions, most importantly oil subsidy removal must be prevented. Yes #occupy will require your energy, your time, all you have; don’t be deceived it will task us. But this is what we must do; we must SACRIFICE NOW TO GAIN TOMORROW.

This is the time; we must #occupyNigeria.

***clears throat***

I hope my Alma mater is among the schools: FESTAC GRAMMAR SCHOOL. That school is in total disrepair despite the state government's investment in education. Read about the school here

EducationFestac Grammar School: A School In Dire Need by pheesayor(op): 11:55am On Sep 25, 2011
When sometime in '97 when I left primary school, hopes were that I would be admitted into one of the unity schools but as fate would have it, I ended up in FESTAC GRAMMAR SCHOOL. At that period when private secondary schools were for the super rich, I settled down hoping to enjoy my stay (which I did anyway).

A school which many people in my hood had attended, I went in with great expectations. Fot those of us who attended private primary schools, coping was not as easy but we still forged ahead. Right from the onset the school was referred to as a poultry just because it lacked modern structures. As at the late 90's, there was no functional library, the school clinic and computer room were under lock and key. We went to school and were called chickens since our school was referred to as a poultry, very annoying but we still persisted and hoped that government will do something before long.

One thing however that worked for the school was the academic excellence. Little wonder in 1998, the school won the "bournvita brain match" contest, this got the school some computers. People attended from as far mile 2, kirikiri town, satellite town, and other parts of Lagos. That was how popular festac grammar school was despite its shabby structure, the academic standard was good.

From the early 2000s however, academic standards starting falling as reflected in the yearly SSCE result of the school. My class for example didn't have a physics teacher for over a session, we didn't have a chemistry teacher for a while too. All through SS1, we had an english teacher who won't come to class but always sends test and exams as and when due. Only the biology teacher made us feel like students, God bless him wherever he is right now.

So we eventually left in 2003 and for years I did not return to the school until earlier this year when an ALUMNI was formed by different sets as one. It spans from the first set(84/85) to the latest set (2011). Holding monthly meetings since April this year, the alumni has waxed on stronger and stronger. One thing that was brought to our notice is that the school is a Lagos state property and so we can't do anything about it in terms of erecting structures. It was interesting and also sad when we discovered that FESTAC GRAMMAR school is the only school in the whole of Amuwo Odofin Local Education District with such "poultry like structure" and without a modern building. According to an ex student, the only 'manageable' building is a one storey donated to the school in the 80s for its academic excellence. Since then the school has been neglected from further development. The senior school benefited from ICT equipments donated by the government but the junior school could not benefit because there was no room and no electricity, it was taken to another school.

The Alumni which I'm a regular member has done little things from the school in our little capacity but more needs to be done because the school has become a shadow of its old self, population has drastically reduced from our days, structures are life threatning and in need of urgent attention by the Lagos state government who is soley responsible for the development of the school as one of its properties. If the state government won't allow "intruders" on its property then it should be bold enough to tackle the problems facing "our" school.

As I conclude, I want to appeal to the ever dependable Lagos state governor to come to the rescue of the school, unconfirmed source claimed the governor has been to the school before. I, on behalf of the FGS ALUMNI appeal to the Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN to save the school from further degradation.

As the school anthem concludes"GOD BLESS PRESERVE OUR DEAR SCHOOL, FESTAC GRAMMAR SCHOOL"

I've been living in festac since '88 as a kid, over the years D'Heavens night club has become the most popular club in festac, followed by newly opened MASTOID, always filled to the brim so the owner can drive whatever he likes, d money dey.

As for the attempt, it can never be kidnap, it most likely has to be attempted assassination.

SportsRe: Afcon Qualifier: Madagascar Vs Nigeria (0 - 2) On 4th September 2011 by pheesayor(m): 2:13pm On Sep 01, 2011
There are so many odds against the Eagles.
Most notable players are out due to injury: Osaze, Taiye T, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Kalu Uche and many other starters.
Also, the best stadium in Madagascar is so poorly built, Onikan stadium in Lagos is better.
No Nigerian station will be able to show it unless they can raise and pay 150,000 dollars for the hosting right.

God help us
