Holamilekan97:Without paying tithe the windows of heaven cannot be opened for you. That's a fact! |
dancok:The choice is yours! You are as well postponing your prosperity. |
Davash222:Daura or Niger! |
Atiku Atiku, nice one! Just yesterday, the United State Senate approved the payment of $1200 dollars (around 420,000 Naira) to each household all over America, (Married couple with 2 kids $3400, that is 1.2 Million Naira) and Billions of dollars for small businesses, all totalling $2 TRILLIONS DOLLARS that is (700 TRILLION Naira The highest payout in the history of America. Which will be distributed to every household between now and 2 to 3 weeks. All based on your tax returns tho' And they have the database for every qualified citizens, where do we even start from in our darling nation? No database whatsoever, Someone can commit a crime in Lagos and run to Sokoto, he may be there for years with no one finding him or her, it's not like that in Trump's country! The first thing that came to our mind was.... Can this ever happen in our darling nation? Then the answer we got was that if Barack Obama and Bill Clinton the 2 past presidents before Donald Trump squandered the national treasury of America government, and their former minister of Petroleum ran away from America to London with 22 BILLION DOLLARS and getting another Citizenship of a Caribbean island so that she will have immunity not to return to America soil. With just jewelries worth #400 MILLION NAIRA recovered so far. And many other of their politicians were buying houses all over the world, burying hard currencies in latrines, on farms, in soakaway, in abandoned buildings all over their country! We wonder where Trump could have fallen back to to pay that huge pay out in the history of America!! So the answer we got was a resounding NO! Even as much as we would have loved if it is true! Truth will always be bitter, but it has to be said. When a sitting president and vice President could open their own private universities while all the Government universities were on strike, (Just like Obama and Biden having private universities in America while their universities were on strike due to poor funding) what insolence could be more than that? When a number 2 citizen of a country has a company that import the largest number of generators into the country, how will they ever want us to have electricity? The Foundation has been destroyed, we are not praising this government, ( we gave them just 65% overall so far) but our point that many people misunderstood here is that , IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE, If it continued the way our country was going in 2015, many of you wailing now, would have been eating from the dustbin by now. Things can only get better if we come together to build a new nation and leave out politics of bitterness in your hearts, even Jona has moved on. Same Atiku was talking about the economy prior the election, and make it appear as if the heavens were falling upon them. But the economy, according to pundits, began to slow down in 2012. By 2014, it was poised for recession. Before the last administration left, Nigeria was already borrowing to pay salaries, as confirmed by Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. And that was in spite of trillions earned from oil. By 2016, recession was inevitable. But for how long did it last? Just one year. No wonder the Excess Crude Account was looted dry. Foreign reserves drawn down. Federation Account, emptied. And the economy was set on an irreversible path to recession. And they say; don't talk about it. Focus on the present and the future only. How we miss Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. He would have said: "I go shout o, I go shout plenty o." If we don't focus on the past, we are then liable to make the same mistakes. "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." (George Santayana). NOW, LET'S SET SOME RECORDS STRAIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL. (We accept criticism from those that voted for the sowores, Felas, Kingsley, Hashim etc, and those that wanted to give their votes for Madam Oby before she stepped down, we love those guys also, we could have voted for them, they have good plans for the country, but the reality is they don't have the platform, Sowore got only 30K votes all over Nigeria!) We could have voted for anyone of them if they happen to be in the political party opposing the party of thieves and criminals. If you voted for a thief and respect our own vote also without quoting us (we respect your political view, we will never quote you), but if you voted for a thief who wants to come back to continued from where he stopped and you are here castigating/insulting us daily, (cos you refuse to respect our own view) all your insults to your heads in multiple folds. You lots may never end well in life! What insolence!! PMB won't be the president by now if our country was going in the right direction in 2015, and you are castigating us for changing the looting and STEALING going on? We never voted for our now darling Daddy prior 2015, Not at all! Your hero even told us to our face that STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION?! Foolish Atiku talking about what he or his past government can NEVER do, just to instigate hatred against his conqueror as usual. You will see his zombies, shouting yes yes, without using their brains to think logically for once, that Atiku, shut up, could you have done this while you were in power? After y'all stole our money? The rebuilding of Nigeria is proceeding apace. Summary, Trump could only have done that because the Previous Government left a good legacy behind. We can never move forward in life if you don't look back to know where the problem came from. Peace out! We Rise! Thanks Chief Topmaike. All of us @ just have to pour out our hearts! Thanks, but the post is not for Lazy readers ,AKA Lazy youths! We do respect your view about this. You have a point.
When I saw $22billion dollars, 65 percent pass mark for the present government etc. It was obvious you are ignorant or deliberately promoting a false narrative. Prominent figures in this government took the previous government to court for setting up a sovereign wealth fund, it is those same charlatans that that opposed the removal of fuel subsidy in 2012. Since then till now Nigeria could have saved up to $25 billion in earnings that was being used to subsidise petroleum products. Today there is a president who also happens to be the country's petroleum minister! He has failed to improved anything. We've gone back to the days when oil deals were sealed in people's bedrooms! The previous administration invested in the power sector, they were able to triple power generation in 5 years. In 5 years the current administration has not added 1 single megawatt to the grid. You talk of the economy, Nigeria's economy was one of the top ten in the world by growth. Top ten investment destination in Africa. Became Africa's number 1 economy. This administration through incompetence failed to maintain that, rather we had to rely on a recession in South Africa to regain our top spot. When the previous administration took the reins Nigeria's daily production had dropped to 800,000 barrel per day. The previous administration was able to ramp production to 2.2 million barrels per day. This present administration, through bigotry managed to significantly reduce that production. When we talk about 'giveaways'. Tradermoni or whatever they call it is a stupid way of doing that. Programs like the previous administration's YOUWIN program was more impactful. Instead of ramping up production as YOUWIN did, programs like tradermoni were inadequate and geared towards creating jobs abroad. The problem with people like you is that things like religion and ethnicity drive your decision process. Even the ebola crisis was managed properly by the previous administration. The information minister, health minister and president were all on top of their game. Governance is beyond populism! You guys settled for populism in 2015 and the reward for populism in 2020 is poverty and pestilence. |
DollarBuddy:That being does not deserve to be called he, what's appropriate is it. It is a thing. As believers we given beings that behave like animals too much room. |
Are they mad? |
Dasuks:Nobody will hurt his brother on behalf Wike or any other politician. Rather it the likes of Wike killing young men and blaming others with the hope of causing confusion and making it impossible for the real results to be announced. With the false impression they give, federal agencies or their personnel are unable to perform their constitutional duties and will have to fall back on the doctored reports provided by such individuals. You do not know what money is, if you know what it is you will know why Dangote have never contested for any political position in Nigeria. To start with, you don't know what we [Ijaw] want to collect. We collect from God not from man. All of you are too small to give us anything we need. Our oil, our land and our heritage can never be yours. You Ikwerres have been eating crumbs and leftovers from the plates and table of Fulani and their Yoruba partners. The Ijaws don't swipe plates. We eat from the source. Yes, you manipulate the polls of the entire state, not just PHLGA and OBALGA. That is why you lack any moral right to speak against Buhari, his APC. Like I said earlier, the state does not deserve refined minds. The likes of Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Tonye Cole etc did not participate because they wanted to win by ALL means necessary. If you imagined my people could kill because of Wike, are there no people in our place they could kill for? Before Wike had access to government funds what was his net worth? If it was a case of highest bidder could an unknown Obio/Akpor based charge and bail 'lawyer' be able to afford the number of miscreants needed to turn the political tides in his favour? You Ikwerres have benefited from the benevolence of your neighbours. From 1967 to the 90s, further displayed your gross ignorance. Within this timeframe the state had mostly non-Rivers governors. Between 1967 and 1970 there was no semblance of governance in the whole of Rivers state with the exception of Bonny that had Ken Saro-Wiwa as administrator. Between 1979 and 1983 Chief Melford Okilo was the executive governor of the state. Between 1992 and 1993 Chief Ada-George was governor. This Ijaw domination some of you talk about is pure propaganda! Out the the over 50 years Rivers has existed, a Rivers Ijaw governed for 18 months. Another Ijaw from present day Bayelsa governed for about 4 years. The other Ijaw who governed for about 5 years was a military appointee. You Ikwerre are shameless! Comparing Rivers state that is over 50 years with Bayelsa that is less than 30 years! Of all the factories and schools Spiff and Okilo built, how many have you been able to maintain not to talk adding new ones! It is people don't know you that have time for your rants. 2015 national election we didn't collect any L. Some people thought they were punishing Jonathan or Ijaw people if they did not vote him. Those that collected their L and learnt the lesson have been going to Otuoke to ask for forgiveness. It is after "COVIC 1-9 birus" I ask you guys how market? |
EngrXrix:I wasn't expecting you to view my post as offensive. I apologise that it came across as such. |
Dasuks:Italy and Greece are not part of the past as you assume. They remain relevant in our contemporary times. Thank God you admitted votes don't count in Rivers elections. Ijaw people have achieved a lot through armed struggle part which you ingrates in Ikwerreland are benefitting from. If the governorship was too important to Ijaw people they would have used that energy to get the governorship instead of fighting for causes they felt would benefit the entire region. After all the Ogoni people have been able to rest a bit for the past 2 decades. I don't blame you, I blame Tinubu that gave some of you a platform to rant. We don't have problems with Igbo residents per say. We've only had issues with Igbo separatist groups misrepresenting our history. |
Ibime: ![]() |
jamesversion:To show how ignorant you are, except for Ogoni, Eleme and Ikwerre the rest are Ijaw clans. For your information, Okrika is not a football field. What you don't know is bigger than you. |
Dasuks:It is Ijaw people who don't know themselves that will buy those nonsense papers some you call gubernatorial nomination forms. Point of correction, Nigeria gave Ijaw people NOTHING! Rather Nigeria got almost everything from Ijaw people. As you want to speak on behalf of non-Ijaw Rivers citizens or residents. You and those you speak for are as useless as the word useless. Ijaw people fought for Rivers state. Elechi Amadi begged for you to be part of the state. The fight was for 3 homogeneous Ijaw states. We should have 2 homogeneous states by now if we did not consider Elechi Amadi's request. Nigeria would have been a better place if you tag alongs were placed in now defunct Southeastern state. Any Ijaw man that begs an Ikwerre man for anything is an Ijaw man that has lost touch with roots. Go through the history of Nigeria, no struggle has succeeded without active participation of the Ijaws. We can't beg scavengers that know how to feed off the the leftovers of other people's struggles. We know of Ken Saro-Wiwa and MOSOP. We know of Adaka Boro and his volunteers. We know of the Supreme Egbesu Assembly, MEND and many other groups. Which Ikwerre man has ever led a movement to liberate people from oppression? If not anything, coronavirus should show how useless Nigeria is and it call tell you why neither Jonathan nor the armed agitators showed any keen interest to keep him in office. Ijaw people have never been eager to govern that garbage called Rivers state. Most of the people that can fix that state are not encouraged by the kind of street urchins they are supposed to contest against. The day the Ijaw man decides to be governor no force living or dead can stop him. OBALGA and PHLGA are not homogeneous Ikwerre LGAs. So your assumption is wrong. Since 2003 till date Rivers state gubernatorial elections have NEVER been decided by the electorate. We called God and got Rivers state and you tagged along. That same God who answered then still answers prayers. |
jamesversion:You MUST be out of your mind! None of you is God, as Ijaw people we are children of God. No scheme against us has ever worked because we relate with others with openness, fairness and purity. I won't go to IYC or any other meeting to show this post, I have shown it to God almighty. Being a just God, God will prove himself in Rivers state in particular and Nigeria at large. It will be sooner than many of you think. Ikwerre own NOTHING! Not even the land they find themselves on. We know who our neighbours are and were. We know where some of these recent groups migrated from and when. Rivers state was created by the armed agitation of an Ijaw man from present day Bayelsa. The Ijaw struggle is bigger than a few administrative outposts created by a feudal state called Nigeria. |
Ibime:Imbre with the exception of Nigeria! Many governments will have a rethink of their country's manufacturing model. Come to think of it, Jaguar Land-rover are technically an Indian business in the UK. The prime minister wouldn't have engaged in some much persuasion if the brands had remained British. |
EngrXrix:I guess you are probably "asleep" like Nigeria's policymakers! The USA also produces grades with low sulphur, very similar to what Nigeria has. Nigeria has inadvertently disarmed herself in any way you want to see it. They are an unreliable supplier, they sell blood oil, no country destroys the environment like Nigeria. In fact, if any company wishes to sell well, all they have to do, is emphasis the fact they don't sell blood oil from Nigeria! In terms of output, Nigeria's output is about 2.2 million. America produces 13 million, Saudi Arabia 10million and Russia about 9 million. Nigeria shouldn't even be exporting oil. Under normal circumstances, a country Nigeria's size and population should be importing to complement domestic production. |
EngrXrix:Dead on arrival! Nigeria is an insignificant player. I would have given them a blueprint but for the fact Nigeria treats the oil producing area like a conquered territory I won't. I pray it sells for less than $10. |
NaijaMutant:...that is if Nigeria survives "Kovik 1-9 birus" |
MelesZenawi:....and Amaechi says he is Igbo! Who is telling lies amongst both men? Or are both wrong? |
Hahahahahahahaha Na today? My God is working wonders! This unjust country must reap the evil seeds she sowed. |
PromiseHamza:What's your point? |
PromiseHamza:What's your definition of opposition? How is this different from what Buhari is known for? |
Sammy07:There is a lot that could have been done! It is this same attitude in 2015/2016 that led to this! Why is Nigeria the most vulnerable oil producing country on earth? She has been producing since 1956. Norway just started in 1971 and got her acts together . All the things Buhari failed to do in 2016 led to this. His target has been diversification of Nigeria's crude oil revenue not diversification of Nigeria's revenue stream. Any observer would have noticed what happened as we lost one of our most important clients, the USA. Today they are a net exporter, competing with Nigerian oil for market share. If Nigeria tried to increase domestic consumption and develop non-oil streams things would have been quite different. Buhari and people in his government are fixated with USD revenues. What we need is revenues. They don't necessarily have to be USD revenues. It is not as difficult as these men make it look. If there was a way, labour unions should be disbanded. They've caused more harm than good in Nigeria. |
Great development! $10 will be a very nice price. |
okeyglm:It is not my duty to determine. Some of them deny that. If they are Igbo or not is none of my business. |
Amotolongbo:Don't mind them! They never read, they just comment. |
MelesZenawi:The Ikwerre may not have Igbo ancestry as some of them claim but Ikwerre is an Igboid language. It has so much in common with Igbo. Anyway, that is a discussion for another day. The man discussion for today is the attitude of a governor in a multiethnic state who condemns the attitude of a president in a multiethnic state, meanwhile he is so much like that president in his home state. |
MelesZenawi:I said he was defending nepotism. That was exactly what he did. It is a shame some of you have the effrontry to defend this kind of attitude . |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU-iXC683rI In this video the governor of a multiethnic state is defending nepotism. Talking in an unrepentant manner. The same governor will complain about Buhari's nepotism. I wonder what difference between both is apart from one being of APC and the other of PDP. They are both toxic for multicultural societies. |
Any lawmaker found wanting should be prosecuted! Bunch of law breakers. |
Shugavee:At least that is a little positive step in the right direction! I think men should provide for their families but a woman should be able to buy gifts for her man, buy things if they are not available etc. If a woman leaves ALL costs for the man she should also take care of ALL the chores. You can't eat your cake and have it. Men are not magas abeg!!!!! |
Shugavee:If you want to copy, copy completely. In other climes they share all responsibilities, that includes house chores. If women want men to "take care of them" while they [women] stay at home there is not point going to school! Nigerian women shouldn't exceed junior secondary school education if their dream in life is to be housewives. |
