He was just smiling during the game everytime they tackled, pressed or fouled him. They tripled up on him in the middle even, policing him almost everytime he got the ball but Kelechi's press resistance is on another level to be honest. Hard to rob him of the ball.

He even posted this afterwards. Lol
If nwakali plays against Portugal he will collect the midfield against Portugal. The judgement of these Europeans about African players is not always accurate.
Poseiro should try it. Our nwakali in midfield against Portugal and he will outshine them.
Okay uzihi from an obscure league did it against Messi and co in 2018 world cup and recently against Manu.
Nwakali can do something similar. Europeans are not infallible in their judgement

If you can be honest , put Dennis in that Villarreal team and what do you think his stats will be.

Or if you like vice versa with Chukwueze in Forest.

My opinion remains the same Dennis is a lot better.
For once I agree with you. Nottingham is just finding its feet as a team. Dennis is really good

I agree .. we need a more direct approach... Lookman and Dennis would have been my idea wing forwards to play alongside Osimhen, but Dennis hasn't been playing much this season,so I think I'll go with Chukwueze... Ejuke is one player that could metamorphosis into a deadly winger if he could learn to be more productive...
If ejuke learns to be productive he will be like ousmane dembele.
Really the difference between him and dembele is intelligence and decision making. When to pass when to dribble playing for th team etc

Samuel Kalu FT Stats for Watford on Saturday.

Wigan Athletic 0-1 Watford FC - Skybet/EFL Championship Matchday 18.

Played 22mins+ (off the bench - RW).
14 touches.
2 chances created.
6/7 accurate passes.
86% passing accuracy.
100% accurate crosses (1/1).
100% dribbling success (3/3).
100% ground duels won (3/3).
1 shot blocked.
2 recoveries.
1 corner taken.

*Kalu's 4th league game of the season.

*Kalu completed the most dribbles (3) in the game.
Kali is a better player than Moses Simon. He can playbwing back. Can play as a right midfielder in a 442 and is more intelligent.
He is noylt just lucky with injuries.
I remember his performance away against South Africa. It was a masterclass at wing back.
Again I say he is underrated.
In fact I suspect he can play as a play maker in midfield as in the no 10 role.
If he stays injury free time will prove me right

If Napoli wins either the serie a or ucl then there is no way he won't win it. Thereby making him the first Nigerian to do so after a long while.

Osimehn is to Nigeria what Salah is to Egypt and what Mane is to Senegal.

Generational talent.
If Senegal gets to the semi final of the world cup and mane plays well, he will win African player if the year. That will be a record as no African has done it before. It will be historic. No one will care about club form. I mean world cup matters.

Everyone from Npfl wants to go to Europe so if they play like 1-2 friendlies for se they’re more likely to go to Europe or other top African leagues that’s why

And caf champions league has shown there’s no standout player yet ?
Yeah it is a vicious cycle. Get a good nofl player and they are out of the country in a short time and you have to call a new set and it happens again.
If we really want to integrate npfl players we should recall them when they leave Nigeria.
For example olisa ndah should still be in the national team but instead we have neglected him because he has moved to South Africa.
We will be calling up a different set of npfl players all the time if we insist on home based and they will not be integrated into the team.
The difference between home based and foreign based players is blurred a home based player now will be in Europe within 6 months and so what is next. You cannot integrate a player with one or two matches.
Most of the players that list 4 nill to Mexico last year are now in Europe.
Nigeria s economy is now horrible and not like the 80's when it was 2 naira to a dollar

Not too long ago , l presented my substantive view that the Segundo division is very poor to quality and probably on the level of the English league or even at less for some teams.

I used Villa Real B, a Segundo division team sitting at 13th position as a loose benchmark to appreciate the low quality.

Villa Real B beat Wolves U21 in a tightly contested match 2-1. I substantiated my view that no PL2 side can compete in the English Championship. And most of not all will struggle in league one.

Recently Wolves U21 played Liverpool FC U21, and got promptly flogged 5-0 .

Quite a few were arguing with me vociferously that most of the PL2 teams will thrive in the Championship. I said a very big NO.

During that debate,I said Liverpool FC are going to play Accrington Stanley from league one, I projected they would beat Liverpool FC U21. Well they did 3-2.

Considering that we seem to be gassing players in the Segundo division and all the backwater leagues of Europe.

Should we also be looking at players in league one in England. After all Aribo came from Charlton athletic in league one, straight to the SE and has been outstanding.
Joe aribi was already in rangers FC when he first played for Nigeria.
In fact he had already played a competitive game for rangers a month before his debut for Nigeria.
Check your facts before you talk.

This is to allow our children experience practical education.
Most if the machines they talk about in basic tech are things they cannot see so it is better to teach the students how to repair phones

He is also the last coach as at now to win any major global trophy for Nigeria.

Messi is more creative than ronaldo. Messi has 377 career assists while ronaldo has 265.
This is despite the fact that messi has played fewer games.

As per goals scored. Messi gials to game ratio is 0.79 while that of ronaldo is 0.72.
Ronaldo has played 149 more matches than messi so ronaldo has scored more goals simply because he has played more matches. Messi creates more chances from open play than ronaldo. His passes are more accurate and creative and his combination play better.
Facrs showvtgat mesdi is a better all round player.
In football scoring goals does not make you the best player. How you can influence a game is also important.
Messi is more influential in a game.

Nigeria's last two qualification for Olympic soccer was under the tutelage of coach Samson siasia. We equally played in the finials and third place on this occasions. What is happening to Siasia and his court case with FIFA. Is the NFF helping him resolve it. And is he truly guilty of this allegation.

If it is mere circumstantial evidence I think he should be recalled. He is better than whatever Yusuf Salisu has to offer with the Under 23. With Yusuf I am almost sure we wouldn't be at the next Olympic Games
Our football badly needs samson siasia
Siasia is good with youth teams and home based players and drafting home based players into the main national team
Im surprised no one has noticed.

The midfielders are the sacrificial lambs for the forwards.
No i disagree. We have some of the best forwards in Africa. Our midfield is mediocre. In fact any good player in a half decent league likevthe greek or scotish league can make our team in midfield.
We badly need natural midfielders. Our wingers snd strikers are overloaded. We can even afford ti dash some of our forwards to other countries.

My dear Philosopher, this is why I am for a midfield set-up that includes Iwobi and Nwakali especially in a 3-man midfield in a 433 or 4231.

Two creative midfield heads who can turn a game on its head with one lines-breaking pass, one progressive carry, one switch-of-play pass or one shot from outside the box.

Nwakali and Iwobi in a 3-man midfield with a sitting DM will be magical. The tactical potentials abound. It would be like a low budget Xavi-Iniesta combo regen.

Even in a 2-man midfield, both will compliment each other easily from technical and tactical points.
Iwobi could serve as the #6 of the duo and Nwakali the #8. Or vice versa. Their defensive improvements alongside their ball-playing and midfield control abilities will keep us on the front foot in any game.

We need a system that can accommodate them just like the Spanish had Xavi and Iniesta with a Busquets serving as their midfield bodyguard.

That way you can't shut down Iwobi completely because of an Nwakali complimenting and you also cannot shut down Nwakali because of an Iwobi complimenting.

Our midfield problems are just a few right tactical picks away from being solved.

But it is up to Peseiro and the NFF. Their latest list is depressing.
iwobi and nwakali will be like Okocha and Kanu to use a Nigerian reference.
The two of them can combine to break any defence.
Besides if nwakali is not liked
fisayo dele bashiru
Ovie Ejaria
Alhassan Yusuf
and others
There are even players in our local league.
The problem is that these players are not in the top 10 leagues of Europe and so we dont
want to try them our but then we dont have many players in the top 10 leagues of Europe that
are midfielders.
Most of our midfielders have average careers in Europe and so in that
area we have to lower the criteria out of neccesity

Iwobi is the only creative player among the midfielders invited.
Our opponents can easily defeat us.
All they have to do is mark out iwobi out of the game and that is all.
Benin Republic noticed and gave Iwobi a false covid report but we still won as we were
playing an ekuke nonsense team.
Once we face a team at our level, they will figure us out and things will be difficult.
We are so predictable even a blind man can see we lack midfielders.
Any decent team that capitalizes on our weaknesses will make us struggle.
Teams like cameroon, senegal etc have noticed.
