I don’t think this is the right time for Onyedika to move to a club like AC Milan where he will not get sufficient gametime
I agree with you. A club in the Belgian league will be good for him. From there he can go further to ac milan.
All these big clubs dont develop players. Except he matures fast both emotionally and football wise.
He needs development and game time not bench.
The time to move to a big league or club will come.

Please never again should you keep Nwakali and Aribo in the same sentence. Nwakali's only talent is in creative passing. Other than that, he cannot play at a high level beacause he does not keep up with the pace. He is not just hadworking enough, gets lost on the pitch, loses his man, makes poor tackles.

If you think talent only is what is needed in the premier league then you're mistaken.
Creative passing is an essential skill in football. Without creative passing football becomes athletic, unintelligent and it will be difficult ti score.
Playwrs like nwakali will allways be needed.
Stop worshipping these Europeans tget are not God your maker.
Nwakali is simply needed in tge sup5 eagles. Is the English league the only leagur in Europe.
As per tackles thud is what guardiola said about tackling.
'"I dont play for tackkesvwhat is tackling?"

Nwakali will do well this season. Dont worry.
I know you hate him but he is needed.

That's a pile of rubbish. He's got no quality. That talk about skill set is nothing but poor comfort for those who cannot deal with the disappointment that a player they had such high hopes on has failed to reach the commanding heights of football. We can wax lyrical about his skill set but the reality is what it is.
I am tired but the absolute truth is that NWAKALI HAS QUALITY.
Time will prove us his supporters right
If he played against ghana he would have dominated partey and we will be in the world cup now.
Europeans are not GOD and we cannot continue to rely on their perception of our players.
This aribo you rate is not as important as Nwakali in our team.
Even his new coaches at ponferadina know that he is good as he is the one that requested for him.
Succeeding in Europe does not allways mean you are better than one that doesnt succeed.
no one in our midfield apart from iwobi and maybe alhassan yusuf can control the midfield the way he does.
Look, we won the nations cup before our players started going to Europe in the time of Stephen Keshi in the 1980's.
he will do well this season and move to a better club.

DLPs also operate as CDMs with just a slightly different interpretation of the role. That's common knowledge.

And trust me, I am just being factual on Ndidi's potentials. He remains Nigeria's most rated and most valuable midfielder in world football today but let us not overrate his abilities abeg. Dude's ballplaying deficiencies is one of the major reasons we have suffered in Major tournaments recently when the going gets tough.

20/21 season remains his peak season so far at club level and he hasn't even replicated that in the GWG or even lately for Leicester before his injuries kicked in.
Look alhassan yusif will soon overtake him as pur best midfielder in a few years time. Im baffled he has not yet been invited. He is a natural midfielder and not a converted one. If he keeps improving a top 5 league team will snap him up

Our national team needs natural midfielders and you are righr
Joe Aribo is not a natural central midfield conductor Kelechi Nwakali is simply better in that aspect of the game
people may underrate him but supernerd to be honest
if Kelechi Nwakali or Alhassan Yusuf played against Ghana we would have won.
Both or one of them could have taken the midfield from Thomas partey but Eguavon got confused.
Time will prove me right.
The issue is it takes time to get into these big leagues of Europe but club form is not everthing.
Also, ovie ejaria should be drafted into our midfield to see what he can do
WE LACK OpTIONS IN MIDFIELD!!!!!

There is no money in the Croatian league. It is only in saudi and china that there is money.

He lacks ambition and the move is not even financially rewarding.
Rohr made our players not to go to obscure leagues as he threayened to drop them if they did and i now understand why.

Some Naija Lads who shone across Europe Yesterday - July 31 Final day Edition

*Happy New Month People

✅️Preseason Friendly:

SSC Napoli 1-1 Real Mallorca

Victor Osimhen Goal via Penalty. He is officially Napoli's Pen taker for the 22/23 season. Confirmed.

2 goals, 1 assist, 1 penalty won in 4 preseason games.

Getting set for the new season and still has 2 more friendlies with Napoli vs Girona and Espanyol on August 3rd and 6th respectively.

Stats note: Napoli had 17 penalties across all competitions last season (21/22). Osimhen won 6 of them and didn't take any yet finished with 18 goals in all competitions (Napoli's top scorer).
Insigne took 14 of the 17 pens won by Napoli last season and scored 10 of them missing 4. The other 3 taken by Mertens (2) and Zielinski (1) and they were all scored.
Now, Osimhen is Napoli's newly officially appointed Penalty taker for the 22/23 season. I expect more goals rush for him. One huge enough to put him in the Capocannoniere discussion.

Yeah, i have been monitoring him since he was in division 2 with the same team.
These Nordish leagues are like mother leagues. They nurse African players till they are ready for the big leagues
He is moving to a big league in a year or two time.
Ignoring the Nordish league may seem nice but it is unwise and counter productive because they
offer developmental football which is what most Africans need.
Look at Kamaldeen Sulemena and our own paul onuachu, frank Onyeka even Mikel played in Norway for sometime

1) Dessers plays for Feyenoord Rotterdam and not PSV. Do your research next time.

2) To know the quality of a Number 9 (Centre Forward), many things are required but let's just focus on these two for the purpose of clarity and to gives us a more detailed analysis :
1) Goal per minute ratio across all competitions
2) European Club Competition performance

Now let's look at and judge their performances over the recently concluded season:

1) Origi played just 598 minutes across all competitions all season. This isn't enough to judge his quality.

2) Batshuayi played 3065 minutes across all competitions all season and ended up scoring 13 goals. This means he scored 13 goals in approximately 34 matches.

3) Benteke played 1225 minutes across all competitions all season and ended up scoring 4 goals. This means he scored 4 goals in approximately 14 matches.

4) Mertens is not a natural Centre Forward. I said Number 9. He's very smart when he plays as a CF but he's more of a winger and he already has his spot on the wings whenever he's fit. 13 goals in 1736 minutes is very impressive. This gives him about 13 goals in 19 games.

5) De Ketelaere is also not a natural Centre Forward. He played 4138 minutes and scored 18 goals. This gives him 18 goals in 46 matches.

6) Openda played 3996 minutes and scored 23 goals. This gives him 23 goals in 44 matches.

7) Dessers played 2152 minutes all season and scored 21 goals. This means he scored 21 goals in 24 games. He also had six assists. This means he had 27 goal contributions in 21 games!!! Read that again.

In the Europa Conference League, Dessers scored 10 goals in just 762 minutes. This means he scored 10 goals in 8 games!! I'll leave you to check the European Club Competition performances of the other players and try comparing them to Dessers' performance.

I'm a big fan of goals per minute ratio because the minutes make the matches and not the other way around.

Note that I based my analysis on the recently concluded season. There's no saying what's going to happen next season but judging from the stats above, if Dessers had decided to play for Belgium, he deserves to be the heir apparent to that CF role, especially when Lukaku is out of form or injured. He's the most in form Belgian striker at the moment. Glad he's also Nigerian.

Let me stop here. My fingers are paining me.
Only lukaku and origi can bench dessers in the Belgian team. He can play if they play with 2 or more strikers even if lukaku is fit.
He might even bench origi or play alongside him.

Good start for "tactically flexible" Jose Peseiro. 2-1 win over a side Rohr couldn't beat.

Moses Simon, statistically my MOTM. But via eye test and more, I pick Iwobi as My MOTM. Moses Simon definitely was a top 2 performer today

Moses Simon: Dropped a MOTM-contender performance that is completely parallel to his most recent showing vs Ecuador.

Moses Simon created the most chances in the game (4) including one big chance. Bagged 2 clean assists. Won 5/7 ground duels.

Delivered 1/4 accurate crosses. Much better ratio than against Ecuador. Covered grounds in offensive and defensive phases. Kept it simple... and didn't throw himself into unnecessary cross attempts today. He picked out his mates simply and precisely and didn't go on unnecessary dribble charades

That's just a part of the Afcon-Simon we crave. Coz the Afcon Simon indeed dribbled but with insane purpose and created chances at will.

What a game from Moses Simon and I expect more of this going forward. Yes! Simon is back! I bet he loves Competitive games. grin

Alex Iwobi (My Main MOTM): The CM and deeplying Midfield role is his for keeps. No questions asked. He has stepped up and answered my cry for deeplying creativity through the middle. A Baller reborn under the touch of Lampard-esque tutorship.

Iwobi bossed Midfield proceedings effortlessly today. He made the second most touches in the game (75). Only Semi Ajayi made more (90). Completed 55 of his 64 passes (86% passing accuracy).

Created 1 chance, involved in initiating and recirculating passing sequences of our plays. Simply was the conductor in the middle of the park.

Made 2 interceptions. Made 7 recoveries and bagged a splendid goal.

I need to speak a bit more about his goal. Moses Simon got the assist but the goal as all about the Vision and Spatial awareness of Iwobi.

He was the one who fed Moses Simon the pass before he quickly upped his pace to attack a gap which saw Simon return the pass simply and Iwobi did the rest. It was an Iwobi Masterclass. That first goal was all Iwobi.

His 10th goal in the GWG. Deserved MOTM for me.

Peseiro switched from 4-4-2 in first half to 3-5-2 (sometimes looked like a 343) in the second half. His tactical flexibility is appreciated and it saw us get more chances to bury the game for good but for profligacy from Chukwueze and also much later on from Lookman.
It's an encouraging start. He did what Rohr couldn't do. BEAT A HARD FIGHTING SIERRA LEONE.

NEXT UP IS SAO TOME WHO GOT HAMMERED 5-1 by Guinea Bissau today. Let's go for the kill.
The most intelligent thing that peseiro did was to bring in Etebo in the second half to shore up the midfield
If not, Sierra Leone will have equalized or scored.
Immediately he brought in Etebo the pressure on our defence decreased.
I remember in the second half when Etebo had to foul a sieraleonan player in midfield on the way to goal.
It shows we need more midfielders who can shore up the team

Liverpool wanted and early goal and Madrid has really been very lucky not to have conceeded more than a goal.

Luiz seems to have been neutralized to a large degree and Madrid is playing so nonchalantly with zero energy as if this is not a finals.

Liverpool might burn out and get frustrated if the goals don't start coming in an Madrid may just settle in the game.
If Liverpool don't score on time then, Real Madrid will score and win this match.
Real Madrid know how to take advantage of every Opportunity.
Liverpool is the better team but they need to seize their opportunities when it comes.
The problem is that Real Madrid can play well for only ten minutes and score 3 goals in ten minutes
while Liverpool can play well for eighty minutes and score only one goal or none at all.
Champions league mentality is different
