It's only cults that operate this way, once you are in you can't get out. Religion of peace indeed. |
”Government needs to do all it can to ensure peace in all parts of the country even if it requires granting them amnesty. We can not continue to live like this,” he pleadedIt's funny that this is the only solution being profered by Boko men these days. So according to them the only solution is to grant them amnesty? Will that not be grand injustice to all the petty thieves and criminals locked up in various prisons across the nation? What has Rev King for instance done that Boko men have not done? Amnesty my foot. Granting them amnesty will be equal to legalising anarchy across the country. When it was done to Militants many warned but the govt failed to listen, afterwards anarchy shifted base from South-South to North. The South-West and South-East will be watching and once the norths gets their own cut of the "national cake" we will all understand that Federal Character also applies to Amnesty. |
He internationalized TRIBALISM
You can as well explain how a man who was benevolent enough and allowed his daughter to be married by a Yoruba man is being accused of being a tribalist by ignorant minds like you. I wonder if your local govt knows about your existence let alone the world. Better focus on the thread and wrest yourself from this tribalistic instinct. |
Am speechless...can we ever find an equal replacement? May God grant you rest from the battles of life cos even the British couldn't hold you down at the age of 28. I pledge to strive to make an impact in the world akin to yours before I depart. Adieu to the Icon!! To the Poster above, tell me you are Okey Ndibe. My pleasant regards. |
adconline: What training facilities were offered to them by NFF before they opted for a primary school playground in Oshodi?Guy forget all these questions, guys around Ajao Estate usually play football at that school every Saturday and Sunday mornings. They don't need the permission of LASG to use it. Infact they are lucky that guys around didn't join they to do practice, e for sweet well well afterall they think say they get sense. Besides, the school is very close to their hotel which could explain why their "consultant" gave them such advice. |
The first time I heard that cars with tinted glasses are illegal and will be seized I was in JSS 1, now am a graduate and the IG is still PROMISING to seize, when is the seizing going to start? When are we going to get tired of recycling old news? Now nobody hears of Okadamen and helmet news again, very soon a new IG or whoever will takeover and still promise to arrest Okadamen that fail to wear helmet. |
I've been with Eurocomm since 2010 and they've not disappointed, it's just that their website is domant for now. They've been fantastic in executing my orders both hundreds of thousands and as small as Ten thousand. |
This is bad news, not now that I've started making small small change from the market. How many of us young and small investors can afford to go to such "licenced companies" for data? Tomorrow they'll complain that foreigners are dominating the market. Why will they leave me in the dark partaining to the state of my shares? |
Many warned Bakare when he entered politics that he who goes to dine with the devils should endeavour to go with a very long spoon but he didn't listen. Now that he has backed off he should expect a reprisal attack from his former cocoon. They might fight you dirty but I pray God leads you back to the pulpit; your first love that you left behind. Welcome back our prodigal son. |
So much for a Nairaland man of the year. One thing today another thing tomorrow. Am silently waiting for Elrufai's version once he loses out of the current merger, it's in their DNA. I hope APC supporters will still love him as before after calling Tinubu a rogue. |
APC can do better than this. Why is Buhari sampling men from across the South? In 2003 he ran with Chuba Okadigbo and lost. In 2007 he ran with Edwin Umezoke and lost. 2011 he picked Bakare and cameout with same result, now it's the turn of Okorocha. Is he the only one capable of becoming the president? Is he the only one who is not corrupt in Nigeria (even if truly he is not)? Does it mean if Buhari dies today then the north has no one else? If a whole Okadigbo could not win him Igbos votes in 2003 how is he expecting Okorocha to do it in 2015? If I may ask, is this what the entire merger noise is all about, how to break the Igbo vote? The opposition can do better than this. GEJ hasn't done too well but as it stands, I'll campaign and vote him once again. A man who dispised the Igbos by not campaigning in any Igbo state in 2011 is not worth my vote in 2015 |
Dear Moderator, I've been here since 2009 but this is the first time my comment will ever be hidden, I want to know why. If you guys ban people for wrong doings you should also take the blame when you err afterall you are not omniscient and stop hidding my curious comment. PHIPEX: Nawa for Nairaland o. See a question that was asked since May 25, 2012 is getting here by March 18, 2013. The road to this front page can be truly longer than one imagines. Dear Lord, may answers to my prayers not take this long to come. |
feelamong: It doesnt matter how long it takes.. the thing is let your prayers be answere finally.. Just ask GEJ how long he had to stay without shoes after he was born and the type of shoe he is now wearing!Nooo, there is time value of information. if the OP needed to make an urgent decision on the state of his/her shares and the response is coming 10 months after, tell me what value whatever response we give here now will make to him/her. Besides, it was still brought to the front page with less than 3 comments meaning they could have done same when it was posted. Anyway, others can learn from his loss. |
Its a 50k job and will use like firewood. A friend has worked their before and she left under a week. Its not funny. Go and see for urself
Fully endorsed, a trial will confuse u ![]() |
musiwa20: the politics math of 6 zones.Sometimes I wonder what people gain by deliberate misinformation and falsehood, even people who should know better. Any satelite which can't differentiate between South-South and South-East is obsolete and should be thrown away sir. |
Monkey dey work, Baboon dey chop now water don pass garri. Kudos to the Ogas at the top. |
Yet another cycle, we strive to get to the top but fail to remain there for a while because of our attitude. Hope this complain after just a month of our victory will not prove Osaze right afterall because it's only he who wears the shoes knows where it pinches. I haven't heard the Coach or NFF's side but something is definately wrong with the occupiers of that Glass House in Abuja. |
If the current crises in APGA-APC persists, I see Soludo(PDP) taking the advantage of it. Since there is no more ACN it means a strong contender like Ngige will have to fight for the joint opposition ticket which no one can tell who will win considering the factions in the party. Whatever happens, I don't like the way PDP messed up the state years ago but I can't help but wish Soludo the very best of luck. I pray he wins. |
innersecret: I thought it was only me that watch it ooo,I couldn't believe it,after watching GUS mennnn my mind change and till date it still stand, acting a role is different from seeing her real attitude oooo.she is disrepectful just in one word to sum up what I saw in GUS,she is highly temperamental.Nobody here says she is a saint; sure she could have her flaws but by the standard of Nollywood stars, she is a gem. I wish more fulfilling years ahead. i wish someone could bring this page to her notice. |
Considering that the market awaits full year results of banks, what's the likely fate of First bank and Skye bank shares within the next 2 months. Moreso, is it advisable to enter UPDC now? |
Pastor Kun: LIES !!! Jewish wine is always alcoholic as there is no such think as none alcoholic wine. Strong drink as is used in that verse was referring to beer and not making a distinction btw alcoholic wine and the so called non alcoholic version and YES the wine Jesus made was alcoholic. Pastor Kun: Your interpretation is very wrong. Strong drink as used in King's James version is used to describe beer and NOT to make a distinction btw wine and so called alcoholic wine. You may wish to get a bible concordance or check other versions of the bible to confirm what the bible means by strong drink. You who is learned see it as Beer, to the person who hasn't gone to school "a strong drink" means Ogogoro or Kaikai etc. You may choose to give it the name you like but ultimately, what the Bible is refering to is any drink that intoxicates the body. doofanc: You see, this is what I was talking about. If indeed it is used interchangeably, how then do you know when it is the unfermented(if there's anything like that), or the fermented one, supposedly the strong drink, according to you?Situations like this should be where the Spirit of the word of God and not the Letters comes to play. I as a person go with the rule that says "if in doubt, leave out". |
violent: Yeah right, my neighbor's Honda accord is actually a mini-Lamborghini sweetcheecks: Are you serious? violent: Yeah right, my neighbor's Honda accord is actually a mini-LamborghiniThis is to my understanding the very reason why the Bible says that the letters of the Bible kills but the spirit behind the Bible gives life,(2Cor 3:6). Someone who follows simply the letters of the Bible (especially regarding this issue) could very well justify whatever he does even with scriptures to backup. The king James for instance sometimes uses the word "wine" as alcohol but in most cases it differentiates Alcoholic wines (which it calls Strong drinks) from Non-alcoholics. Le 10:9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: Nu 6:3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. De 29:6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God. Jg 13:4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: Jg 13:7 But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death. Jg 13:14 She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe. 1Sa 1:15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. I can go on and on... I believe any christian who understands the level of his relationship with God will not use a simple instruction given to Timothy by Paul due to his ill health at the time to undermine over 20 other contrary instructions from God. Even if one is able to justify the drinking of alcohol but for the level of debates it's generating, the love and meekness in a christian should be able to make such a one to desist from it in order not to drag the name of God to disrepute. in 1 Cor 8:8 Paul said he has the faith to eat (drink) anything and nothing will happen neither will he feel condemned but he went further to say in 1Co 8:10 "For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat(food and drinks) in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols." In verse 13 he said " Wherefore, if meat(food and drinks) make my brother to offend (sin), I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend." |
Guitarlife: i expect most christians to come here and rationalise but if taking wine was that bad then i wouldn't expect jesus to encourage the guests at the marriage in cana to take it talkless of making it his maiden miracle. This is just a simple matter isn't it ? But i expect 'sadduces and pharisees' to call me names. Sheep indeed is what most christians are.Correct me if am wrong but the issue at hand here is alcohol and not WINE. The last time I checked not all wines are alcohol. Jesus turned water into WINE not ALCOHOL. The condemnation here is alcohol and not wine except if it's alcoholic wines. For those insisting on taking a little remember that "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump" |
Ok, Lets go there. I hereby declare my support for the Rangers. |
This Senegalese @ Rangers' defence has been quite impressive. It's now all over. |
The officiating has been cool so far. Enyimba's defence is becoming too sluppy. |
I see Enyimba getting an equaliser here |
You guys are doing a great job here, some of us have been following this thread and it's been very educative. |
