Where did I advocate for state run enterprises?

You told a lie and I refuted the lie, many times over.

You clearly have a probably with reading comprehension.
Now i see what the problem is. You have zero inkling of thought process. How do you refute a thing when your argument is surporting everything i have said so far. I have said it is not a good thing and you say "yeah it is not a good thing but they started like that". Question is, what is the difference? The point is, who does it today? You argument all through has been tacitly for it. You go school so?

Again, read the entire text instead of picking the odd sentence.

Your attention span is horrendous.

I gave examples of state run airlines, as of today. In addition to those that began as state run enterprises.

I'm not generally an advocate of state run businesses but they can work if the best practices are followed. If there are checks and balances. If there was one state in Nigeria I would trust to get this right it would be Cross River. There seems to be less waste, less stupidity there than in many other states.

You don't seem to have an argument, just rehashing hearsay for the sake of it.
And yet every sane country is shying away from it. You confuse yourself with your incoherence. And your gullibility is admirable. You actually trust anything coming out of Nigeria.

Did you read what I read or did you just skim?

I said BA began life as state owned.

People are not put in front of firing squads for saying that they are capitalist. Stop spreading lies.

It's clear you have no clue of that which you speak.

You insist on making false statements with language that you appear not to understand. Then you fail to read the responses to your irrational comments.
You are still arguing for me. I started by saying that governments should not have a hand in companies. Especially for a country like Nigeria that cannot maintain a university's toilet. You came up with different examples of companies who at one time were run by the government who today are run by private companies because they know it is not a good thing. Thereby furthering my argument. And your literal interpretation of words is hilarious to say the least. Lol. No, you don't get shot for saying China is a capitalist country in China.
TravelRe: Cally Air: Cross River Floats Airline by pippimp(m): 1:17pm On Sep 06, 2016
mmsen:
China is very much a capitalist nation.

Just because they have a communist party does not mean that they are any less capitalist than any of the EU nations.

Speaking of Europe, many of the biggest outfits in that part of the world began as state enterprises.

Deustche Post, for example. Also British Gas, since merged with Shell was a British state owned company.

Many of the biggest airlines began life as state owned businesses - British Airways, Lutftansa, Air France.

Singapore Airlines is majority state owned.

Qatar Airways, Etihad, Saudia and Emirates are still state owned.
You are just googling without reading through. British airways is not run by the british Government nor most of the examples you put up. And why do you think they elected to have those enterprises run by private agencies? Plus, don't go to china and say they are a capitalist nation. Over there, people are put in front of firing squads for that.

I honestly don't know why people are complaining. This is normal na. It would be abnormal if it did not happen. Nigerians think they can do whatever they want. e.g, dump refuse in the streets, burn/kill suspects, etc. So why wouldn't the police think they can do whatever they want?

China has several state run/owned enterprises that have gone on to become amongst the biggest in the world.

Including the construction company that was contracted to build Nigeria's new airport terminals in Lagos and Abuja; as well as the rail lines from Ibadan to Lagos; Abuja to Kaduna; and Lagos to Calabar.
Go back and read what i wrote. I said "in a capitalist run economy". There is a difference.

No it's not. Anything state run will never amount to anything. Even if it is run by dana air. It will just be a tool to defraud the people of the state. It is a proven fact in a capitalist economy.

What is the population of ekiti ?...how many cars are in ekiti? The state doesn't need this white elephant project... Same way it doesn't need the airport fayose is currently constructing.

These governors use these bogus projects to siphon money.... It's a shame...
Ekiti is a case study of what is going on in Nigeria and the fault lies at the feet of every Nigerian. Watch what will happen next election. You'd think with everything that has been going on, Nigerians will get their acts right and elect a leader based off conscience. That will never happen. Their votes will be based on tribe, greed, ignorance, or financial incentive.

Peer pressure is always the cause of children waywardness and not necessarily parental guidance and control.
My dad was nt d domineering and over protective type, but today I can boldly say I didn't misuse the freedom, atleast I'm a responsible young man. Unlike my fren and neighbour, while we were young, their parents were over protective and domineering, tinkin dat was d bes way to raise kids, but today, they are the total opposite of wat their parents tried to build. I'll have you know that her father smoked weed in college. Guess who he is today? The most powerful man in the world. Smoking does not mean you lack moral or have one for that matter. Nigerians don't know the first thing about morals. If they did, Nigeria would not be the rot it is today.

Towncrier247:
General Superintendent of The Holy Spirit Mission Church (The Happy Family Chapel). Bishop Charles Ighile who together with his wife Rev. Caro Ighile head the church that has over sixty branches, through their syndicated marriage and relationship programme on television have touched many lives and restored thousands of relationships. In a recent interview, the couple spoke extensively on why many men sleep with their maids, why many marriages are daily crashing among other problems in relationships...

"Men sleep with their househelps when the couple are not on their guards. We are talking about God-fearing men here, who would not ordinarily sleep with their househelps, but somehow find themselves doing it. There is always a division of labour in the home. As the Bible puts it, the man is the head of the home and the woman is the helper. She is the keeper at home. Therefore, according to the Bible, everything about the domestic affairs is for the woman. From what God Himself told Haggai in the Bible when her househelp ran away, God asked her, “why are you running away from your mistress…Go and submit yourself to her.” Therefore, the househelp is under the woman. She submits to the woman. When a maid needs to buy things such as undies, body cream, make her hair or she has to report to the man when she is seeing her period, then there is going to be problem. When it is the man now asking the girl, ‘what’s wrong with you?’, why are you sad? Do you have tummy ache? Ok, come and see me in the room’ etc. There is fire on the mountain. There are certain boundaries that must be set in the home. When the woman fails to take charge of her responsibilities and passes them to the house help and the husband takes them up. She is setting up the husband for temptation."

The pastors also insist that inappropriate dressing plays a major role in men having sex with their maids. According to them..

"Appropriate must be enforced in the home. A man is enticed by what he sees, therefore, the woman must not allow the househelp to dress indecently in such a way that all her contours are revealed and everything is dangling around the house because the man may be tempted even when he didn’t plan it. So the couple must have rules in the house, as you cannot just come into the kitchen or sitting room with only your nighties on or tie a towel or wrapper around your waist moving around the house. Those are troubles for the man. He should not say, “oh, she is only 14, there is nothing she can do”.

“No, she is a woman and the man seeing her unclothedness could be thrown off balance. Sometimes, the househelp themselves could be cunning. She wants to seduce the man. So, a man must be very careful. Then, the man must show his wife love all the time. The housegirl must not be allowed to see cracks in their marriage. The husband must not disrespect his wife anytime, especially in the presence of the girl, such as shouting on the wife and so on. Doing that will make the girl lose respect for the woman. These are just a few of the very many reasons men sleep with their househelps. If you as the man begins to find yourself attracted to the househelp, just send her away. If you are a man who wants to save your marriage and wants to honour your marriage and God, let your househelp go. I know that when a man begins to have feelings towards a woman, his defenses weaken, so the strength to even send her away is no where to be found. But struggle with your weakness to send her away. I have handled a case as that where the man has already slept with the househelp. Interestingly, the wife is by far more beautiful, but it’s not a matter of beauty now, it’s a matter of the more you live with somebody the more you see something that attracts you to the person which outsiders might not see."

Just like a typical Nigerian. Making excuses for your lapses. How is it that it is everyone's fault but the man's? Also typical of pastors. Nigerian pastors as a matter of fact. I wonder why people listen to them?

It can only happen in Nigeria. They should come and fire someone like that in the U.S and see if they won't sue their pants off. What the employer should have asked is why does he hate his job. If he can feel that way, then others might feel the same way too. An unhappy employee is an unproductive employee.

Over 200?

Wow, my type of woman. My very type of woman.

My favorite authors are, in no particular order, Wole Soyinka, Ernest Hemingway (this man was a genius), Chinua Achebe, William Golding, Edgar Mittelholzer. I just fell in love with Adichie after reading Purple Hibiscus. Now, I have all her novels (the three of them) though I have my reservations about Americanah but I am proud to keep it.

I intend to begin collecting Stephen King's books. I love horror stories.

It is hard to pick my favourite book. But I love "Ake" by Wole Soyinka. It is still the best book I have ever read. That book was instrumental in helping Soyinka win the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Now, it is your turn? Your favorite authors and your favorite book.
Guy, if you believe she can even read, then i have a bridge to sell you in china.
