ATERI: From your reasoning, the fact that murder rate is high in America, or that American police murder unarmed blacks anyhow should mean that when Americans are wrongly accused or executed abroad, America shouldn`t complain, right? Your reasoning is flawed. There is no country without crime. The issue is what kind. You don't see normal people in normal countries burning criminals in the street and worse still have the nerve to put it on youtube |

AngelAhnie: Hater spotted The reason most Nigerians see nothing wrong with a person like fayose has multiple reasons. First and foremost, the brain size of an average Nigerian is no bigger than that of a mouse which is why their thought process is somewhat limited. Plus, Nigerians have been fed bad leadership for over half a century, that they don't know what good leadership is. There is nothing to compare to. This is the reason why since independence, Nigeria has not had one single leader that was decent. The funny thing is Nigerians are shocked as to why the country is the way it is. |

UuzbaGuuzba: Of what good is an invention if it is already made by someone else? You could easily have just bought/imported the other one. The money this guy used to invent this tractor is much more than it costs to juts import one small thing from China. He just wants to show you that a Nigerian can innovate - can think - can create something very unique and targeted to this particular economy. Probably using all the raw materials right her from Nigeria. ENOUGH of importation. Bro's. Do you even understand what you wrote. I tried to let go and leave you with your ignorance of comprehension and functionality and still you keep coming back for more. No one is arguing that he cannot invent or create something. What we are saying is how can you call something what it is not. Is a car a bicycle because it has wheels? Answer me this. Don't run around in circles. Just answer the question i just asked you. |
Science/Technology › Re: Timothy Addigi Builds A Nigerian Tractor by pippimp(m): 11:09pm On Jul 02, 2016 |
UuzbaGuuzba: What the guy designed is a machine used on a farm. A tractor is a machine used on a farm. What he made is a tractor. What is hard here now?
Some tractors do this, some others do that. Every tractor is not these same. There is no point in making all tractors have exactly the same functions. They are specialised by function and capacity.
All cars at not the same. All bikes are not the same. All bikes are not the same. All PCs are not the same. All mobile phones are not thesame. All aeroplanes are not the same
However all of these equipment have 1, 2 or 3 similar traits that make us identify and classify them.
Dude made a Nigeria Tractor. A UNIQUE product. Face the fact. Ok. Smh. |

redgem: Most people are prone to snoring... Snoring is one big turn off for some people, me in particular... imagine you had a very stressful day and need a good night rest and you can't get one cos your partner snores so bad...... Damn!!!
I love my sleep and wouldn't want to be disturbed by the sound of a crying bull...but what can one do about a partner who snores
I've heard and read that snoring causes havoc in relationships, which I'm sure is true because one person won't be able to have a good sleep....and not having a good sleep, won't keep your mind at rest...and not having a rest of mind, emmm....you know what will happen next
If you find out that your bf/gf is a deep snorer, would you end the relationship?
If you decide to stay with him/her, will you tell them that they snore? I asked this cos I know some people don't really know they snore and won't be happy if they were told...
Married folks, what are your sleeping arrangements like, Do you and your partner sleep in separate rooms?
How do you keep your bond strong in the face of snoring?
Can one ever stop snoring? Snoring is a symptom of a medical condition called sleep apnea. I snore too so I have to wear a cpap machine when i sleep always. |

UuzbaGuuzba: I'm very sure EVERY construction equipment you use is imported. JCBs, Wheeled Loaders, Pay loaders, Tracked loaders, Tracked Excavators, Boom cranes, concrete mixer, Trucks, bulldozers, graders,... (I knew all the names as a kid - Lego things!). If Engineer Guy had made his ass-Backward tracktor/Excavator whatever, you personally will not buy it or go for it. Because it is NIGERIAN and does not CONFORM to the LOOKS of what you are used to. Rather than selecting based on function. And there lies the problem. Your comprehension of what a tractor is. We are not talking about the looks but the functionality of what a tractor does. It is like calling a cat a dog because it has four legs. If there was a competition for tractors, you would not be able to compete in it because it, by definition is not a tractor. How is this difficult to understand? |

UuzbaGuuzba: Dear, let me lay out my own take on this issue. I don't personally know this Engineer guy. But I am a Design Engineer as well. I also did an Engineering Course in the UK. So I know them inside out. Forget all the chitta-chatter here on NL. I just hide my identity and play dumb.
There is very little room left in the real world for any sort of innovation. There a patents to be crossed. As a Nigerian, there is next to Nothing that you can design/create that the western world have not done. I read their research work in their own University Library and I was scared. The things their students have designed, that are just waiting to be produced. I'm sorry, if you picked up any design book and followed all the principles of design A-Z, 99% of what you think is YOUR innovation, the white man has ALREADY (f***ing) done it.
We are at least 100 years Behind in any direction you choose to look at it.
This guy making an ass backward tractor, is at the end of the run. There is nowhere else for him to go. But to just attempt this RIDICULOUS design. Ridiculous is the keyword in vehicle design. NORMAL has been in existence for so long that the whole world is BORED.
Give dude some credit. He tried.
You know very well, what our government will do. They well open the borders of Nigeria like a LovePeddler opens herself to any man import Any and Everything. Including tractors. They will Kill this guy's innovation and Plan for mass production (AKA Money), before he even gives birth to it. Since we are throwing around credentials, I am a construction engineer with years of experience operating heavy equipment all over the world. For the purposes of what a tractor does, this is not a tractor. I have no problem with innovation. This is what you do not understand, but calling this what it is not is dangerous for potential patrons. He can label it whatever he wants, but a tractor, it is not. |

If the Nigerian guy had designed EXACTLY the one you expect to see, Big rear wheels, You personally, would blast him by saying, "There's nothing there jor. Nothing Special. Oyibo have already done that. Infact, he just imported a tractor"
Now, Guy has made the front wheels bigger and still called it TRACTOR. Allow Guy take credit na?! E easy? For this hard Buhari Nigeria...
Hian!!? Yes. Call it whatever you like. So that one day when Normal people want to execute a job that requires a tractor you too will say you have one too and then be confused about why the "tractor" doesn't do what other tractors do. Left to you, you will call a bus a car. They both transport people, right? Or a fighter jet a kite. They both fly right? Smh. |

A tractor is purpose-built. Hard wearing part, diesel, low maintenance.
But if you'd like to buy a Ford truck and use it to plough a field normally done by Asses, be my guest. Try the F350 Which is why tractors have large rear wheels. Nigerians don't know how to define or categorize things. That was how someone said he invented a gas powered pressing iron forgetting that the product has always been in existence. |

People have been complaining like this since independence. What does that tell you? The leaders Nigeria has had and continues to have did not fall from the moon. Many will read wtout understanding it and they still go ahead to comment ignorantly.
If you read this post very well, it's about those things that most ladies look out for in choosing a husband that may eventually lead them to early marriage break-up if you base your choice majorly in them Like i said, if you understand women, they don't care about all that. A man can be short, fat, ugly, have eczema, pimples etc, and a woman won't care as long as he provide comfort. Which is why i used Oshiomole as an example. If you think she married for love then you have a long way to go in understanding how women function. It is not a bad thing. It is just how women are built. |
