kai the ignorance on this forum can be overwhelming sometimes , so non-nigerian ladies don't have bad dress sense , get overweight or smell. I am sorry but the description you gave is that of a depressed mind that needs to get out fast. Watching movies may not be your thing but the general point is for you to get out of self and get involved in other things. There are so many things out there to do, especially in the fall. And it does noyt have to be some HOPELESS time of year.

Gyming for me is a good stress relief and also best way to stay in shape considering I sit at a computer all day. I take dance classes every now and then and I am infact scheduled for one this evening. I am trying to learn hip hop for the fun of it. Hang with friends, go sking if necessary of work on some project. An Idle mind is the devil's workshop, and do not for one minute thing that depresssion is only for WESTERNERS. Go to your local police office to check and learn the number of africans who commit suicide each year. You will be shocked.

hope yau are also looking for a job , just in case the visa thing does not work out , have a plan A , B and C , God will bless one of them , that way you can avoid the gaps . Gaps dont only work against you in a visa application , they can also affect a job search.

I know a yoruba boy whose parents did not allow him to marry an ibo girl from a broken home ( even after seven years of dating) . Instead they convinced him to marry a friend of his sister's . well now he is filing from divorce after it turned out that the girl lied about her status in the UK and could not return to his home base to stay with him after the  marriage. Apparently,  during the process of filing for her papers, she stayed with the boy's parents in Nigeria and proceeded to show her true colors , keeping late hours , insulting parents,  reported to be seen with random men and finally packing out of the parents house to live with another man.

All I can say is if you are sure about someone then do your best to convince your parents ,  in this rare case the parents shared the burden of choosing a bad wife for their son.
