airmark:Hahaha. Talk about passing the baton. Pa Ramuzaki is getting older by the day and doesn't have much time left. He is grooming his successor in the dark arts of falsehood and post-shifting. If Dayo was an OS, he would be Linux. In fact, rumor has it his middle name is Linus. Pa Linus Ramuzaki . |
Lewy needs to work on his efficiency in front of goal. He's always missing easy chances before he finally gets a goal. Tough game at Hamburg yesterday but the J-ac-K of all trades came through for us. Adler was in fine form but some of our attackers didn't help matters. Muller is probably still nursing a post-Euros hangover. Coman is a bit rusty. Good thing Robben is back. Ribery is rolling back the years. Sanches has all time in the world to get settled so no rushing him. Thiago has also been impressive. He gets a lot of unfair criticism around here, but he looks like he is enjoying his football under Ancelotti. I've always felt Pep restricted him in a way, not allowing him freedom to express himself. Hopefully he keeps it up. Atletico next on Wednesday. It will be our biggest test of the season so far. Thankfully Carlo knows what to expect from the Rojiblancos. Expecting a very difficult game so I won't mind a draw. |
airmark:Here's another one: "Bayern drew at Hamburg last year". I no know where the guy watch im own match. Hamburg wey Bayern hammer. No be im fault Ramuzaki don infect am with im lie-lie. If he keeps this up, lie detector fit break down . |
Great game yesterday. Rostov got 'roasted'. The boys had trouble getting out of the blocks but after the first goal everything fell into place. The changes to the starting XI are understandable. Many matches in the coming days. At this point i don't know what else to say about JK32. 4 goals in his last 3 games for club and country. CB, RB, deep-lying playmaker, right winger and now box-to-box midfielder, Joshua Kimmich is the ultimate Total footballer. Won't be surprised if he makes a good GK . |

Kimmich na my boy too. The first time I saw the kid play was at the European U-19 Championship just after Germany won the World Cup in Brazil. He played as a deep-lying playmaker and I was so impressed with his composure and how he controlled the game. I was convinced he was going to be the heir to Schweini, who by the way is one of my favourite players of all-time. Germany would go on to win the tournament and i listed him among the young stars to watch out for in my review of the tournament and I've followed his growth since then. Imagine my joy when Bayern signed him months later. The boy was so good Hrusbesch had to draft him in for the U-21 Championship which made him miss the Germany team to the U-20 World Cup that year. His replacement was Dortmund's Julian Weigl who now appears To be Schweini's most likely successor. Even at the said championship, he displaced the team captain Moritz Leitner from the first XI after coming on as a sub in the first match and formed a strong double pivot with Emre Can. Germany got crushed in the semis by Portugal but my love for the boy had grown. The last German talent to get me this excited was Toni Kroos and look how well he turned out. Bayern is not the easiest team to break into but he took his chance. Now the boy is a German international. There are still aspects of his game I feel he needs to work on. He has a rather average first touch which sometimes gets him in trouble like the second goal we conceded against Juven in the first leg last season. Or France's second goal vs Germany where he failed to control the ball properly in his own box. He is only 21 and there is plenty of time to work on that. I could go on and on about this lad. His versatility, his tactical intelligence. He has everything he needs to become one of the best players in the world in the nearest future. Pep did a wonderful job on him and hopefully he gets even better under Ancelotti. |
raumdeuter:I see nothing wrong with Conte's statement. There is always room for improvement. Even Messi and CR7 try to get better everyday. Conte even went ahead to confirm everything I said about Luiz just hitting his prime as a CB. Pa Ramuzaki, iro shey wa for yin Lori bayi? PSg actually rejected Chelsea's initial offer. Why would they turn down a decent fee for Luiz if they were such in a hurry to offload him as you are trying to make everyone believe. Old man lying to score cheap points on the Internet. Your folks in Ogbomosho would be disappointed in you. |
raumdeuter:David Luiz' case is a special one. He was bought for a world record fee. There was no way PSG were going to sell him for more than 50 million. Who in their right minds would pay 50 upwards for a 29 yr old CB? For your own mind, that makes him a flop abi? Nothing concern me wetin fans for NL dey say. I hope you know Luis has a cult hero status at Chelsea and I'm sure the fans over there are happy to have him back. The player you said was chased out was a starter for his club in all their matches this season even under a new coach. PSg were open to selling Luiz because they felt they had a decent replacement for him in Marquinhos. Show me a defender who has been sold for a combined transfer fee of over 100 million pounds. |
raumdeuter:It's funny when you try to pass off collective or team achievements as individual ones. Did Boateng singlehandedly win the World Cup for Germany? As for the Cl, Boateng plays for a bigger club so that is expected. So because your boy got humiliated by Messi, we should overlook it simply because it's Messi. Which kain logic be that one? Like there is any pride in being humiliated in such manner as he was. Even Granada and Gijon defenders no fall yakata like that when up against Messi. Did you expect PSG to sell Luiz for more than 50 milla. A world record fee for a defender. ' A club not even in Europe'. Tell that to Kante. Hehehe. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in Europe so no points for you. One man's poison is another man's meat. Rejected by Mourinho, bought by Conte. You don start again with your lies. Luiz wasn't dropped because of the World cup fiasco. |
raumdeuter:Even Thiago Silva, widely acclaimed as the best defender in the world was dropped from the national team some time ago. That one no be news. If winning two league titles and making the Ligue 1 team of the season twice in a row is an embarrassment, then . . Boateng has been winning? or you mean making himself the butt(pun intended) of jokes and epic memes. The same guy that was brought crashing to the ground by a man half his size by the simplest of footworks. Or the dude that forgot he was playing football and not handball. Defenders are like fine wine, they get better with time. At 29, Luiz is at the prime age for a CB. Ever since this Luiz-Boateng debate began, Luiz has made a team comprising of the best players on the planet. When will Boateng be in such exalted company? Luiz also made the World Cup XI despite all that happened while becoming the most expensive defender of all time. |
airmark:Ehen, no wahala then. I've always been around, only that it's always hard to get a word in when the madness on this thread starts. I shouldn't e en call this a thread. More like two persons having a closed discussion and the rest just dropping posts. It's probably why guys like Lordave and I don't post regularly even though we come around often. Bored ke? Tell that to Juve and Celtic fans. Nobody gets bored of winning. Dortmund really pushed us close last season and have brought in quality reinforcements so I expect serious competition again this season. Obviously, I would want us to win the CL and with Don Carlo at the helm, this might just be the season. |
Airmark, you be weyrey . Aswearigawd. Always keeping Pa Ramuzaki on his toes. I'm sure the man sees you in nightmares when he sleeps at night. The work wey you do for that pic na masterclass. Keep it up . |
raumdeuter:Congratulations o. We are still waiting for him to make FifPro XI and World Cup Team of the Tournament, two big individual honours which by the way David Luiz has to his name. Luiz as you know is the most expensive defender in the history of the game and is getting ready to be transformed into a defensive behemoth under the guidance of Antonio Conte. What better coach could a CB ask for? |
raumdeuter:Hate?? In the last few months, i've admitted he's improved and i actually praised him on here during the Euros . I even overlooked his silly handball against Italy, just hours after commending him. Usually I would have torn him to shreds for that. E tunti de o! which one is Euro 2016 best central defender ? Pa Ramuzaki be inventing awards like Obas conferring titles. |
raumdeuter:Wetin we dey talk, wetin you dey talk? The relentless and perpetual head bashing you have received across this section must have done something to your brain. Airmark, abeg wey that Pa Ramuzaki pic? ![]() |
raumdeuter:A great man?? You mean like "my friend Udeme" ? Jerome "Udeme" Boateng . Anyways a belated birthday shoutout to him sha. Wishing him more of those Euro performances and less of those 'Alago', 'Igiwo' and Hallelujah stunts . |
Krasid:Lewy actually had an average start last season, same as the season before. He only hits top form after the winter break. Although 60 looks a bit too much, with the form he is showing and the direct football Bayern are now playing, he might just get there. After all, he is Robert Lewandowski! |
Bremen must hate visiting the Arena. Could easily have ended in double digits if not for the gk. Lewy could easily score 60 this season. 6 in 2 already. |
Boys dey vex o. . Pataki and airmark(Air-taki) na one hell of a tag-team. HBK and HHH got nothing on you, guys. See as dem just bash the guy left, right and centre. But seriously, shame on you guys . Ganging up on one person. Bullies, you are! ![]() |
nyabinghi:Long time, bro we no dey see you for Utd thread again. Shey na on top this Mourinho matter? You and Roland17 are our only friends from the EPL. The rest na the 'Burndisleaguedown' squad led by tormentor-in-chief airmark. I no blame dem. Dayo and A40 don too make enemies for that side, it's only normal they hit back. |
omotayos01:Looks like there is a new Bavarian in town. Welcome to the family, bro. Always nice to meet a fellow Bayern fan. We could use some female fans though. Feel free, it's an open house. You might run into one of those EPL 'intruders' here, no worry na so dem dey do. It's all part of the fun. Here are the names of other Bayern fans on Nl : there is raumdeuter and A40 who you already know, myself, Lordave and davidbanky who i've not seen in a while. Yep just the 6 of us.Hopefully we will get to meet more Bayern fans like you. Mia San Mia! |
gidola:No mind me jare. It was one of those what-were-you-thinking moments. For some weird reason, i saw Man city struggling to score goals in their next few games and so in my infinite wisdom, I decided to offload my City attackers and left Stones on my team. The players I bought in their place did nothing. My team is in shambles and I'm probably gonna wildcard. See weti n oversabi do me. Agidi lo pa Tu Pac, ishan lo pa Bruce Lee, over skill lo pa ninja! |
Sold Aguero and Nolito for -8 hits! Would you believe it?! Sold not bought o! You don't wanna be me right now. Eriksen and Payet had better go mental. It's going to take unbelievable mental strength not to quit after this GW. |
Finally, our first Super Cup win in 4 years. Before kickoff, i was hoping Carletto would take the final more seriously than Pep did and did he. Na small cup sha but, hopefully the first of FOUR to come. Happy to see Don Uli back in charge. Bayern without Hoeness is no Bayern. I for one, am happy we are playing direct football again. Bye-bye to Tiki-taka. |
airmark:I no go anywhere. I just dey observe. You sef na tormentor-in-chief. You no be guest for here again, you don turn 'Onile'. Pa Ramuzaki must be cursing the day you discovered this thread. |
patrickmuf:Schweini is Bayern through and through. He is a fan favorite with his legend status already assured. Basti was arguably the influential player in the dressing room. He lived like a king at the club.Bayern would never turn their back on one of their own. It's the only reason why a player like Badstuber is still at the club despite playing virtually no role. Pep would have been more subtle. Everybody at Bayern knew Pep preferred Alonso to Schweini, but he still managed to find a place for him in his team, probably so as not to incur the wrath of the fans. |
The last few pages have been fvking hilarious. I'm thinking of saving those pages for those tough days when one just needs to laugh. Guys like Airmark and Dahdemola suppose get permanent residence for Yaba Left. On top the Schweini matter, guy na my nigga but he has no one to blame but himself. Leaving Bayern for another big club is always a great risk. Kroos took a gamble and it paid off for him but in Basti's case, he made the move at the wrong time. Truth be told, Schweini is finished at the top level. Those injuries have taken their toll on him. Did he think he was going to get the same royal treatment he got at Bayern at United? Guy should chin up and face his troubles as a man instead of playing the victim. |
It's only a few weeks to the start of the new European football season. Like most football fans, i 'm already looking forward to another season of exciting football.New managers, new players. Who will end up as champions come May? I've decided to take a peep into my crystal ball and here are my predictions for the upcoming season: 1. Arsenal to finish outside the Top Four. Call it bad belle if you like. . 2. The Premier League trophy to return to Manchester. Between Manchester United and Manchester City of course! 3. Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Ballon D'Or! Like we don't already know . 4.PSG, Juventus and Celtic to win their respective leagues. *yawns* I've saved the best for the last . . 5. Bayern Munich to win the treble . .(Can i hear an 'Amen'?) .Feel free to drop your own predictions for the season. You have until August 31 after which all predictions will be quoted to prevent cheat ing. Happy predicting! |
Goetze going back to Dortmund. Pity things didn't work out at Bayern but i feel he could have given more. Wish him the best at BVB and i hope Renato Sanches is watching and learning from all this. FC Bayern is no place for slackers and weak-minded players. |
Renato Sanches doing the bizness for Portugal. Good thing Santos finally summoned up the courage to start him. Lewandowski finally ended his goal drought against Portugal but still doesn't change the fact he had a terrible Euros. Still waiting for Muller to find the back of the net as well. Every Die Mannschaft supporter worst fear is now a reality. Germany vs Italy! I have a feeling things will be different this time around. Germany are overdue a win against Italy. Ancelotti will be watching this one with keen interest. This might come as a surprise to many but i've got to say this: Boateng has been impressive at this Euros. He has been rock solid and his reading of the game has improved. That stunner against Slovakia was just the icing on the cake. It will be difficult not to see him make the team of the tournament. If he keeps this up, he might just win me over completely. Airmark, Pataki, sheath your swords . . for now . |
UEFA just wan scatter persin head with this pairing system. The process is just so messed up. This is the type of shyte to expect if Infantino's proposed 40-team World Cup sees the light of day. It's either 16 or 32. Slovakia next for Die Mannschaft. |
My boy Joshua Kimmich putting in one hell of a show. Boy was something else. His composure on the ball and passing was perfect. Oh and that near- assist for Goetze, gawd!. Forget everything i said about finding a replacement for Lahm. Kimmich is The One! .From CDM to CB to RB, the lad is giving Toks a run for his money as the most tactically versatile player on our team. He is arguably Germany's best young player. Too bad he doesn't get as much hype as the likes of Sane. I say, Ruminegge slaps 50 milla on him to ward off Pep(something tells me he will come back for him) and other potential suitors. And someone said Pep did not do much in terms of player development. Kimmich was Pep's parting gift to Bayern. Poor Muller, the ball just refused to go in. Lewandowski not having better luck either. Safe to say none of our players have set this tournament alight. Hoping to see Renato Sanches play a part in Portugal's game. If only Santos had the balls to start him. |
