raumdeuter:Dayo's statement: LeBouf is no Durm or Mustafi. He started a world cup final and kept a clean sheet. Since Durm and Mustafi are synonyms for bench players in a way.Try substituting 'Durm or Mustafi' for bench player in his statement. Here's what you get: LeBouf is no bench player. He started a world cup final that kept a clean sheet. Simple English you no know. |
raumdeuter:In Kramer's case he started because of an injury to Khedira. Bertrand started as a result of suspension to some of Chelsea's players. LeBouef started the 98' World Cup final because Blanc was suspended. A FACT YOU CLEARLY FAILED TO POINT OUT. |
raumdeuter:This is not a case of you being ignorant of the fact that LeBouf was a bench player. You knew he was a bench player but still proceeded to lie to score a cheap point. Durm and Mustafi were mostly substitutes, same as LeBouf. You claiming that LeBouf started a World Cup final was to say his case was different i.e he must have been a key player to have started the final. I see you are dodging the Favre issue.Or is that also a lie? |
Nihilist:I solemnly swear not consult any search engines or footie encyclopedias. God be my witness! |
raumdeuter:I still stand by my words. You are a pathological liar. Whatever topic suits you or should someone pick a topic for us? |
raumdeuter:Whenever you are ready. How about now? Let's head home to the Bayern thread to do this. |
Evidence of lie #3. I got something wrong here.It wasn't Dahdemola who debunked his lie, it was timbros. Re: Bayern Munich ''5 times Champions of Europe'' by timbros(m): 8:51am On Sep 23 raumdeuter: Mochengladbach manager Lucien Favre sacked Some people go say EPL dey change managers It seems you, Raumdeuter, sacked Lucien Favre because Mochengladbach NEVER sacked him. Take am easy with your fake news abeg. GBAM! |
My Original Post Re: Bayern Munich ''5 times Champions of Europe'' by pkasso(m): 10:00am On Aug 02, 2014 Like i didn't know you were going to do this.World cup winning defender? Heck, even Durm and Mustafi have winner medals! LeBoeuf was a squad player at France '98. Judging by your logic, every word that comes out of the mouths of greats like Pele and Maradona is the scriptures. It's his opinion."The fact that Jose Mourinho put him in midfield is an indication he wasn't convinced about his defensive ability" Another case of versatility being abused.Mourinho would put 11 defenders on the pitch if it were possible.A coach that played all his DFs in a UCL semifinal tie at HOME.It's like saying Pep played Lahm at DMF because he wasn't convinced of his abilities going forward at RB.I never said David Luiz was flawless.I agree he can be quite frustrating to watch but i would rather have him than Boateng. It is a case of picking 'Bad' over 'Worst'. DK's reply: BTW Leboeuf was no Mustafi or Durm, He started in the World cup final which kept a clean sheet. Interpretation: Mustafi and Durm were bench players at the World Cup but Frank LeBeouf is not because he started a World Cup final. Dayo intentionally omitted the fact that Blanc was suspended to try and score a cheap point. |
raumdeuter:Did you miss the part where i said everything got lost in the data crash or are you just a dumb, senile geezer? I know you like to think of yourself as the top dog in this section but the truth is you are no more than a flat track-bully who likes to flex on threads where you won't be easily found out. For the sake of your claim that you possess encyclopedic football knowledge, how about just me versus you. Let see what you are really made of. |
raumdeuter:Ogbeni, no need to stretch things. We had this argument just after the World Cup when you posted a story on LeBouf criticizing Luiz. No need to dig through the archives 'cos you won't find anything. All the data and posts during that time got lost in the tsunami that swept across Nairaland last year including the big and long-running fight between toba and A40. |
raumdeuter:Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. E be like say you wan make i expose your lies for here. You wey be' Lai' Mohammed. In case you need me to jog your memory, here are some of your many lies : Frank LeBouf was a starter for France at the 1998 World Cup: You claimed LeBouf was a key player at the France 98' despite me insisting he was merely a squad player. You went ahead to put up a pic of a starting lineup of the final to support your dubious claims only for me to point that the only reason he started the final was because Laurent Blanc was suspended. Boateng was man of the match at the World Cup final: While there is a semblance of truth to this, the manner in which you went about this like he was truly awarded the man of then match award. For some strange reason i kept quiet and did not bother to challenge you. You kept peddling this lie until you ran into trouble on the United thread when Dahdemola bust your lie. Lucien Favre was sacked by Borussia Monchegladbach: In your bid to prove a point that managers also get sacked in the BuLi and not only in the PL, you had to lie that Favre was sacked when in fact he resigned. Dahdemola also got you on this one. And Finally . . David Luiz was responsible for the death of a Brazilian Fan: In your infinite hatred for David Luiz you claimed he was responsible for the death of a Brazilian fan. Only for Pataki to come out and say the man died of cancer. And these are the only ones i can remember for now. . |
Any fans of the Netflix series Daredevil in the house? Show's on break but can't wait for season 2. Currently re-watching Teen Wolf season 4. |
AdeLaNa1:I hear aareonakakanfo is very good but i'm yet to see any of his gifs and there is also nitlad who used to be the king of gifs but is less active these days. It will be nice to see a contest between those three to determine who makes the best gifs. BTW, i am also a big fan of your works with the memes. Keep it up . Don't even get me started on SailorXY. Dude na madt man . All in all, big ups to all you guys for making the Sports section fun. |
Hello, beautiful people! |
![]() You've got to give it to airmark and his gifs. He sure knows how to crack people up.I hereby confer on you the title of gif-meister. I see Governor Pataki has finally decided to pay us a visit after the humbling his beloved Assnal suffered at the hands of their perennial husbands. I don dey fear say something bad don happen. Chairman, take heart ehn. Even your team never recover from that beatdown. Only one win from 4 games since then. Na Europa sure pass! ![]() |
fabulousdame:Ello bae! Longest time. I doubt if you still remember me, though. |
jamace:I've been busy exploring other parts of Nairaland. Wind don carry me back. No worry.Your loyalty will be rewarded. In the meantime, abeg no post again . |
Oga Jamace, i see you o! Nice to see an old face around.Dis one wey everybody just disappear ehn. |
What in God's name happened here? This place used to be where jolly minds come to unwind and have fun. A beehive of activities. Now it's no more than a graveyard with strangers popping in every now and then. Pathetic, isn't it? Obinoscopy, oya report for duty. The Forum Games section needs cleaning up!! *storms out* |
Anybody else see that clip of Rooney slapping WWE Superstar Wade Barrett on Monday Night Raw? That was epic. It was of course scripted but i couldn't help but think what if Barrett retaliated. I bet Coogar and many others on this thread would have loved to see Wazza power-bombed. A few broken bones and some months on the sidelines would just be okay by them .Well that will just have to wait. . ![]() |
I must confess i am enjoying every bit of Chelsea's miserable start to the season. Every weekend na so so party for this thread. The feeling that comes with every Chelsea loss is something i can't explain. I believe the German word for it is Schadenfreude. But deep down inside me, is the human side that feels for the fans.Approaching every matchday, hoping things will change only to be disappointed. My heart goes out to my homeboy, airmark durin this trying period. That defense can't be any worse with Alago in it . DK might be willing to help. Hang in there, bro. E go beta . |
nathaniel007:Interesting. He has also never been sent off in his professional career. Here is another fun fact: Until his yellow card against Dortmund this season, David Alaba had gone over 100 Bundesliga games without being booked, a run that stretched back to August 2011.Talk about discipline on another level. You rarely see these players lose their heads or make rash tackles. The bad boys on the team are Boateng, Rafinha and Alonso who is always making those tactical fouls. Rafinha has anger management issues while Boateng is well, plain stu.pid. And then there is the king of them all, Sergio Ramos. That one na weyrey . Still waiting for his first red card this season though. |
Pataki:You guys have never done the double on Bayern, likewise us.The best you can get is a point and that is even up for negotiation. Moreover Pep is yet to lose at home to Arsenal, that was under Heynckes. With the Red Army behind them, i expect the boys to rip Arsenal apart come next month. |
Double Post |
Olaone1:It's your opinion and you have a right to it. The UEFA rankings say otherwise. I'm not gonna get drawn into a debate on whether the BuLi is competitive or not. Dayo and co have spoken extensively on it. Halfway through the group stage, two BuLi teams are topping their groups and another is looking good for qualification. Is that a sign of a weak league or what? |
Pataki:No lele, i dey kampe. I see the 100 bulls you sacrificed to Zeus on your recent trip to Greece paid off . Congrats to you and your boys. Revel in your victory while it lasts. My prediction still stands though. You guys are headed for the Europa league.I hope you know the treatment that awaits visiting teams at the Allianz Arena. Arsenal's fate won't be any different. |
We deserved at least a point from last night's game.Dominated possession, created chances but just couldn't score.Neuer really fall my hand yesterday. He was having a great game up until that point. He can be erratic at times but because he is the best GK in the world, we always let him get away with it.Me don forgive am sha. The loss to Arsenal might just be a blessing in disguise. It should dispel any false sense of invincibility that might be creeping in. The winning streak was fun while it lasted. Hopefully we can kickstart another streak starting with Koln at the weekend. |
airmark:You might be adding Alexis Sanchez to your list of Boateng tormentors very soon . Me no mind as long as my team wins. |
airmark:Yep.Atsu was voted best player at AFCON 2015.His cracker of a goal against Guinea was also voted goal of the tournament. His inclusion is not too controversial . . i think . |
Pique and Boateng, best defenders in the game? Someone must be smoking some cheap stuff. |
Those guys from the Barca thread must be stuck in a time warp.Pique is no longer among the elite defenders in world football.Dude lost it the moment he hooked on to Shakira and who would blame him ? His coach at that time Pep did not approve of the relationship and said it was a distraction. And in the end it was, Pique has since regressed. His game has been ridden with inconsistency and errors.Circa 2011 was the last time we saw the real Gerard Pique. To his credit, he showed glimpses of that form the previous season but no be like before.Pique is a decent centerback but he is no longer among the best.IMO, Sergio Ramos and Javier Mascherano are the best two CBs in the game.Thiago Silva on his day and when he is injury-free can also make a case. |
The int'l break curse strikes again! We are always losing players to injuries when they are on national duty.Last time out it was Robben. Now it's poor Mario.Big blow for a player who appeared to be getting his Bayern career back on track.I'm disappointed but not the very least worried. There is enough depth in the squad to cover for his absence.Wish him a speedy recovery. |
