@Depardo.

I cannot rebut your points one by one in a because I am using my smart phone.

You stated or insinuated that I neither speak nor understand animal language, therefore, I should not able to say what they do or are capable of doing.

My response to that is simple.

The much that we know about animal behavior, how did we get to know ? huh
Did we have to have town hall meetings with them in Order to be able to catalogue( in most cases with mathematical precision) their behavioral patterns?

By your twisted logic, every thing we know about animals behavior Should be null and void simply because we have never had a successful Town Hall meetings with animals.
Right Sir Deepsight, mighty sire of the woven word ?

Can you see the way you read and the sorts of leaps of assumptions you make?

Where did I say the bold and particularly how did I suggest the bold in red?
I am simply following you on this leaping exercise, Sir.

You are the one making the huge leaps from one unrelated issue to another, trying desperately to find connections where none exists.

Do you mean anyone who doesn't have a desire to live forever is an animal?
And was that the conclusion you reached after reading my post ? huh

Many times, to be honest with you, I am sincerely forced to believe that you either do not read what is written, or you gloss over it, or you simply super-impose your own previously held notions onto it. I actually gave you point to think on, regarding what you said - and I referred to specific patterns of animal behavior to rebut what you said.
Big laugh.
You merely offered anecdotes.
For example, how does the fact that few animals like elephants and apes exhibit grief upon the death of their kind show or indicate that they habor anxieties about the AFTER-LIFE? huh
How did you make such a huge leap ?
Do you See why I completely ignored that point ?

Secondly, how does the fact that all animals ensure the survival of their genes through mating and protection of their offspring indicate to you that each individual animal looks forward to eternal life in the same way that you do?

You tried to weave together unconnected issues to validate your own preconceived ideas. undecided

DeepSight:
Whilst I will respond again to this post - please note that your reference to the scientific study of animal behavior (which I am a great fan of) does not in anyway support your points. If anything, much study into animal behavior raises questions the answers to which may likely hold you against your assumptions.
Purely speculative.

You cannot try to make an argument or even offer a rebuttal of an argument by speculating on facts that are not in evidence.
You should know better than that, Depardo. cool

Small Question:

How exactly do you know this? How exactly do you know that Animals do not worship God?

~ Have you spoken with any animal who let you into this secret?

~ If Animals were to worship God, would you recognize their mode of doing so, when they do it?

~ Would you expect to see them in prayerful dispositions or setting up churches or temples or mosques?

As well you should.

Just as surely as without man, who would conceive of the bbig bbang? Surely, without man, it never occurred, no?

Just as Isaac Newton invented gravity, no?

Again, how exactly do you know this? What village meeting of Animals did you attend, where animal professors explained this to you?

Because, what is obvious is that they exhibit a fear of death and do everything possible to avoid dying.

Further - many animals also mourn their dead, and exhibit grief and befuddlement at the phenomenon of losing a family member. Why do you think this is so? Have you ever been a bereavement counselor to any animal whereof such an animal patient of yours informed you that it had no phobia about the after life?

Who told you this? Why do you think animals show extreme concern about their next generation - going so far as to murder the young of possible competing genes in some cases (such as lions). Behavior which may very well suggest clear interest in the status of the gene pool, not just while they are alive but after they are dead?

Then why do they avoid death?

My friend, it seems to me you have made gross assumptions here - very akin to the type of assumptions you accuse theists of making!
My dear friend,
You wasted quite a lot of space here without making a tangible point.

Rather than merely asking me ' how do you know that' , it would have made much sense for you to have made a case for the opposite .

For centuries, we have been studying and observing animal behaviors and behavior patterns.
In fact , there are academic and professional disciplines completely devoted to the study of animal behavior.
In case this is news to you, I suggest you visit your nearest library, or better still, even a cattle rearer or chicken farmer.
Daahhhh!! undecided

Animals do not show any behavior patterns that remotely resemble worship or acknowledgement of deities.
That's a fact.

They also do not show anxieties about an after life, talkless of buying insurance policies for such, as you do.
That's another fact.

Now, if you think otherwise, kindly present your facts , and stop weaving these tangled noodles of words you're very fond of. undecided

The fact is even as controversial and disputed as the evolution theory is, it still a better alternative than believing a book thousands of years old, written by simple minded humans.
Correction Sir.
There are no controversies and disputes about the theory of evolution.

About more than 90℅ of scientists accept the theory of evolution.

The thory of evolution has not had one single refutation in over 150 yrs of its acceptance.

Modern discoveries in genetics have basically cemented every important aspect of the theory.

Only religion infused minds have a problem with the theory of evolution. And their objections fall very very far from being scientific objections.

See where it has landed Nigerians now. Where are all those sycophants that were forming i-too-know on Nl during the election period? I guess Dele Momudu, waxing in his usual janus-face, speaking from both sides of his mouth, is either too daft or too much an ass-kisser, to consider that perhaps good able people cannot function to their full potentials with a dinosaur. Buhari is a mythical product of a long bygone era.

Rightly said, man created God and not the other way around. The human mind doesn't want to grasp its own mortality so it creates a fictional realm that it might reside in after death. We don't fear God we fear death. This is why every culture has it's idea of a God as well as an afterlife.
I once opened a thread asking why animals do not worship God.
I was actually attacked and mock for asking such kindergarten question.

I remained patient to see if someone could get the full import of my question, to think deeper and understand where I was pointing at.

Like this OP has written, without man , there are no gods.
Man is the creator of god.
Animals do not have an after death phobia.
Animals do not need insurance policies Redeemable after death.
Animals don't have a desire to live forever.

Sir, you must understand the dichotomy btw theory and practice. In theory that is the right thing but when in reality it's a been complicated. Capitalism has its many contradictions and high unemployment is one of them. Even the so-called American govt directly in some instances create jobs to reduce unemployment. That said, I must correct ur notion on Npower, it's not a direct job persay but a form of training to create a better workforce that will improve economic growth in the long-run. It's a training for about 2yrs to give unemployed in Nigeria the skill and focus needed in directing them towards self employment. U need visit the Npower page to understand beta what it's all about.
I have no criticisms about Npower, about any initiatives that focus on job training, retooling and or any policies targeted at creating employment.
I am against creating more government jobs as an ad-hoc, reactionary measure, that, in the long run, is more harmful to the economic infrastructure.

Ad-hocism is surely one of the reasons for our perennial underdevelopement.

The private sector can create 500,000 jobs across the nation in a blink of an eye with a carefully implemented targeted policy or policies.

Government creates an enabling environment for the private sector to create jobs.
