Only things left to sell now are the Federal secretariat, the national assembly and of course the presidential villa. Did I hear you say " reliable Nitel" ? NIPOST existed in name only. You forgot to mention Reliable Nigeria Airways too. Old those stone age relics needed to be gotten rid off. |

You were also the one that brought do or die affairs into nigerian politics and you also introduce money bag into nigerian politics as well My friend , get your facts right. I'm not sure hold you are, and unfortunately, the teaching of history is a taboo in this country. Since 1983 when some criminal soldiers arm-robbed their way into power, Nigeria was thrust into a trajectory desolation. Please go back and study the state of the nation in 1999 prior to the coming of OBJ. It was as confusing and hopeless as it is today. The OBJ era, looking at it from where Nigeria was and where Nigeria is today, was undoubtedly The GOLDEN ERA of leadership and governance in Nigeria ( going by the standards we have seen in our lifetime). Put your APC vs PDP sentiments aside. In my lifetime, it was the only era that middle class ( the standard measure of progress) expanded considerably . OBJ reorganized governance and established templates and standards for efficient governance going Forward. |

Gaddafi1: The Ukraine president should simply surrender and stop toying with the lives of millions of people. He is hiding in a bunker and will eventually escape from the country while Russia will install a puppet. He trusted USA and NATO to join... NOW THEY HAVE HIM. The West is actually afraid of a Nuclear war and so does the United Nations Thank you for talking sense. There is no way in the world the US would go to war with Russia, an equally strong nuclear adversary for the sake of Ukraine. Europe too understands the futility and utter foolishness of bringing world War scenario in its territory. On the contrary, US and EU may actually wish to have a protracted war between Russia and Ukraine as another way to see Russia's fighting capabilities and underbelly, as a means of further weakening Russia, meanwhile, using the media to humiliate Russia. For the long term geopolitics of that region, the current suffering of the people of Ukraine would simply be collateral damage , an unavoidable means to an end. |

realborn: Mr Kingsnairaland’s analysis was brilliant.
However, Mr Karemarealty288’s input, in my opinion is right. The key consideration is sovereignty.
Russia and Ukraine are neither sharing same bed nor room nor Apartment figuratively. They simply share well delineated properties, each entitled to rights to association as deemed necessary. My dear friend. Nations, right from the dawn of human civilization, erect walls of defense, and expend an enormous amount of human and financial resources to protect themselves from neighbors, unfriendly neighbors, ambitious neighbors, even friendly neighbors who may one day turn unfriendly. When your neighbor, even a friendly neighbor, begins to cohort with your adversary, and begins to pile up weapons, simple survival instinct should dictate that you take action to nip it in the bud, first by loudly protesting, and then if necessary, take proactive offensive action , for your own safety. We all do it everyday in smaller ways. History is replete with uncountable examples of nations taking pre-emptive actions to subdue the ambitions and potential threats of their neighboring states. And Talking of pre-emptive military action, was it not some years ago, that the US and the entire NATO gang , including Ukraine, traveled thousands of miles across oceans to attack another country, a sovereign nation that was not its neighbor, on the pretext of stockpiling Weapons of Mass Destruction, and at that time perceived to be a threat to Western civilization? Look at how many countries joined the coalition to attack a sovereign nation because the greatest military power in the world felt threatened by a nation 10,000 miles away. Now, imagine how Russia feels having US and NATO sneaking in weapons of mass destruction at its backyard. |

Before I went to sleep, my wife said to me: This Russia is such a bad country, If Ukraine wants to join Nato, it is their business and freedom, Russia has no right to intervene, this is just an excuse for Russia to invade Ukarine.
So I said nothing, I just went to the kitchen and took a knife to bedside, then I said: Let’s go to sleep.
My wife looked at me with her wide eyes: What the heck are you doing, sleeping with a knife?!?!
I said: No worry, let’s go to sleep. Beside, sleeping with a knife is none of your business and it is my freedom.
My wife said: How can I sleep when you are sleeping with a knife? What if you accidentally cut me?
I said: Well, You don’t even trust your own husband, how can you expect Russia to trust Ukraine? Me sleeping with a knife is like Ukraine joining the Nato. Good one |

You see, the calamity of Buhari is not only that he is the very worst we've ever seen, but that he has set trend for lower lows in incompetence, insecurity, aloofness, confusion, disunity and corruption. Knowing our ability to tolerate every lower lows, I'm afraid that misfits from every corner of Nigeria will rig, fight and kill their way to power to continue the rape and pillage of the Buhari era. We are quick to forget that it was Buhar's armed robbery into power in 1983 that truncated our democratic growth and thrust Nigeria into the trajectory of despotic rule, unbridled corruption and eventual desolation of the Nigerian dream. |

Assassination(Even if the car key is in ignition, d driver's door has a central lock that can lock all doors when closed by the assailant) Carbon monoxide is the culprit |

Loewe: The way Nigerians conclude on certain things without reasoning baffle me a lot.
What if they were assassinated and their naked bodies were dumped in the car to mask the murder?
How 2 people can be having sex and both would die at the same time is what people should ask themselves.
It's simply illogical and highly suspicious. Were they both poisoned? Where were they coming from...
Was it suffocation? If so, they would have been able to roll down the windows and get some air wouldn't they?
A lot of Nigerians won't even question the possibility of other things, they'll just jump into conclusion. The likely cause of their deaths is not hard to figure out. They parked their car, left the engine running because of ac. After sex, they both decided to take a nap. But unknown to them, the exhaust of the vehicle was leaking directly into into the vehicle. After a little while, a build up of Carbon Monoxide saturated the air inside the vehicle and killed then while they slept. Carbon monoxide is colorless and odourless. High concentration of Carbon Monoxide can kill a person in less than 5 minutes if there is no outlet for dissipation. A simple blood exam would show that they died of Carbon monoxide poisoning. |

Blablamalala: Infact even animals have their sphere of territory. An example is lions. As a pride, lions control a territory which if any lion outside their pride should cross could lead to it's injury or death. It's an instinct to defend your territory. It's same instinct with all of your illustration above.
Just yesterday morning, an uncle of mine was discussing with me how to him Russia is wrong to have chosen to attack her neighbour, Ukraine in a bid to invade them so as to deter their ambition of becoming a member of NATO. His excuse was, Ukraine is a sovereign Nation hence Russia has no right to tell them what is best for them.
So, I quick called my uncle to a very recent incidence and how he reacted.
My uncle has this semi-detached double flat bungalow. That is two flats attached to each other. His family lives in one while the other flat he recently sold because he needed money badly.
Unknown to him, the buyer of the other flat is into black market, selling Petrol. He hoards Jerry cans of Petrol in their flat.
So I acted my uncle, why did he kept on warning them to stop hoarding Petrol and when the did not desist why did he eventually report them to the police? Is it not their house and the can do whatever they like with it? He kept quiet. Then, i asked if it was Jerry cans of water would you have bothered? He said no. Then I said just like Russia bothered by the calamity it will bring to them if they allow their enemies to gain closest proximity to them is the same calamity you were bothered about if that flat you already have sold should be caught by fire and how it will affect you.
Why did you not say "SINCE THEY ARE NOW THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS THEY CAN DO AS THEY LIKE".
Russia is only being realistic. Will the U.S not react if Canada, Mexico or any of her boarder countries should allow Alqeada have powerful military bases in their country? Excellent analogy. |

Isnt diplomacy the first step to solving issues between countries? I guess you have not been paying attention. Russia has been blowing the Trumpet for a long time that NATO should stay away from Ukraine, its backyard. Russia has signed several agreements with NATO and Ukraine for Ukraine be neutral zone in that hemisphere. Russia didn't just wake up one day and decided to invade Ukraine. It is because of broken agreements on the part of NATO and Ukraine. BTW, since the fall of the Soviet Union and The Warsaw Pact, what is the use of NATO, and why has NATO, instead of being slowly disbsnded, has rather been expanding eastward, encircling Russia. I'm not a fan of Putin, but when pushed to the wall, I'm not sure there is any leader who would not flex military power, talkless of a military superpower in this case. |

Because Ukraine is militarily weaker, right?
Go and remove Geoffrey Onyeama and replace him with yourself so you can ass-lick Putin. There goes an ignorant person. Every superpower have their own sphere of influence. Russia has, US has, China has, Britain has, France has. These superpowers are expected to respect and stay away from each other's sphere of influence. But US uses Taiwan to Poke China, and uses Ukraine to poke Russia. It is illogical that a superpower would not act to preserve its sphere of influence and allow a military organization like NATO to encircle it. Try that with US, try it with China, try that with Britain, and you would get exactly the same result as what we are seeing with Ukraine. Ukraine is allowing itself to be used as pawn and a dispensable guinea pig in this geopolitical chess game. |

Cuba was never invaded by the US, infact US was already in Conflict with them even B4 the Soviet came, US NEVER INVADED but, the only time it looked as if they tried and failed is when they trained aggrieved Cubans who hated Caestro and encouraged them to take back their country.
The next is Soviets stepping in to buy their Sugar and establish a friendship and from their, they started installing Ballistic missile (Nuclear weapon) in Cuba. US was very mad and threatened Cuba (They never invaded). The US then sent some Naval ships to block off Soviets from bringing more bombs and thanks to God that the Soviets respected themselves and stopped their ship at the die minute. Now how is this Related to what Russia is doing now? US went directly to their match which is Soviet. What is Russia doing in Ukraine? Did US use military invasion to stop Cuba, the answer is NO. Going by your Assertions, It would have been easier for Russia to Tame Ukraine through Sanctions but they didn't so, that propaganda can't fly.
Ukraine didn't start today to request to join NATO, They started in 2008 Even before Albenia . It is not NATO that comes to them, it is Them that goes to NATO. Their is a reason why Many countries surrounding Russia is seeking NATOs membership.
Russia is a Bully, never support what you wouldn't want to happen to you.Russia is wrong. I don't know any Russian media, talkless of being brainwashed by them. The US military commanders had okayed a nuclear war with Russia, buy the wisdom of JFK prevailed. Again, in that crisis, the same US provoked Russia by putting nuclear weapons in Turkey, Russia's neighbor. Read through you will understand that the Ukrainian government was trying as much as possible to prevent what is happening now by seeking strong military alliance that will provide security for times like this but America refused their request since around 2008. That's the point. Russia is Ukraine's biggest trading partner, biggest financial benefactor and debt holder, not to mention a strong ally. Knowing the military might of Russia, their joint history and Russia's sensitivity to be surrounded by enemies, it was stupid and reckless of Ukraine leaders to seek military alliances with Russian adversaries, who offered them nothing but hollow promises of military protection.
