Delusion (or reality-denial) remains an incurable disease until the poo of reality hits the fan. Keep deceiving yourselves. Sit secure in your ivory tower of intellectualism postulating how the interest of the tiny few is superior to the will of the overwhelming majority. Time will tell who's right or wrong, who failed from grace and who rose to it- you or Kanu.
Don't mind them.
They are soooo blinded by their delusions that they fail to see that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has ALREADY SUCCEEDED , even if he does or says absolutely nothing else for the rest of his life.

Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu has stated that only a spiritual intervention can make president Buhari resign from his position as president.

In a recent article titled, "Now that the Governors are back", Bob Dee advised people clamouring for the president's resignation to stop wasting their time. He wrote;

“No one can say what he would do with a degree of assertion until he’s been tried and tempted. That is a fact. So let’s accept for now that our President has no intention of abdicating anytime soon.Indeed, it would be premature to ask him to do so in any event. It is clear that he is showing quite remarkable improvement and almost magical recuperative powers of recovery.

This means that one cannot say he should quit the stage when he clearly can continue to act once he has become fully rejuvenated after a long stint of rest and relaxation.

We must appreciate the fact that there have been several world leaders, who have not been that strong, that have governed their countries from their sick bed.

President Buhari has demonstrated his ability to do so because of the able and competent Vice President that he has in Professor Yemi Osinbajo.”

The really really stuuupid things that come out of the different corners of this Janus-faced Dele Momudu is jus mind boggling.

Now, to be fair , Janus-faced loudmouths are to be found in every society.
The nausea comes, in this case , when the individual in question parades himself as an intellectual and national commentator.

Dele Momudu made his name as a publisher of a celebrity and gossip magazine, where hobnobbing with and axx kissing influential people is a required skill.
However, he has managed to turn this into a national artform.

Politics › Re: Syllabus Of Deceit! (the Truth About The First Coup) By Olisa Akukwe by plaetton: 2:03pm On Jul 26, 2017
Anayordike:
SYLLABUS OF DECEIT! (THE TRUTH ABOUT THE FIRST COUP) BY OLISA AKUKWE

The broadcast on Biafra by Al-Jazeera must have hit home. I know this for sure with the rush by apologists of the Military-North Complex to indulge in their favourite revisionism. The first Nigeria coup is always their takeoff point.

However, we Ndi Igbo will never stop telling our story. The first couple that they keep labeling the Igbo coup because some of its leaders were Igbo, was never an Igbo coup. If the Military-North Complex that ruled and ruined Nigeria is willing to defend their assertions, let the Federal government of Nigeria muster the will to set up a Commission that will interrogate the first and second coups, since they always claim ALL our problems started then. This may help to bring a final closure to the claims and counter claims!

Indeed Major Kaduna Nzeogwu was reputed to have led the coup. The revisionists never fail to recollect how he invaded the home of Sir Ahmadu Bello and murdered him. They however always fail to mention that Nzeogwu didn’t act alone. Nzeogwu shot his way into Sir Bello’s home, with Lt Atom Kpela, a Tiv man, amongst others shooting with him.

Nzeogwu was murdered by northern troops at Nsukka sector, and his eyes plucked out before burial, during the war. What of Atom Kpela? He ended up as Military Governor of East Central state I.e Igbo land! And you will never hear members of the Military north Complex mention Atom Kpela when they describe the horrors of that fateful night in Sir Ahmadu Bellows home.

The Military-North Complex will always breeze through the fact that Lt College Unegbe contributed most immensely in the failure of the coup in Lagos. Not only because he paid with his life, the ultimate sacrifice by an Igbo man
against an “Igbo coup”. His refusal to grant any access to the ammunition store, for which he was in charge, as the Quarter-Master General,
singularly ruined the coup in Nigeria’s capital
then.

We acknowledge the horrors of that first coup. It is also on record that the fatalities of that coup was 15 persons. A very sad outcome! However you will never hear the revisionists mention that the counter-coup had fatalities of 214 persons, mainly Igbo officers. About 17 times the
fatalities of the first coup. A clear case of Crime against Humanity, under current UN charter! No other coup in Nigeria has ever had up to 20%
of that level of fatality. Even the violent. attempted Orkar coup.

The revisionists will never mention that the coup failed in the north because the coup failed woefully in Kano. The failure of the coup in Kano
was because Lt.Col Ojukwu refused to mobilise the 5th battalion to join the coup. Gen Olusegun Obasanjo in his book “NZEOGWU” wrote that a Lt Ude was sent by the coup plotters to kill Ojukwu. Luckily he was arrested.

The Kano Airport which the coup plotters had hoped to secure was secured for Nigeria by Lt Ike Nwachukwu, whom Ojukwu detailed to do that duty.
All these players that played pivotal and patriotic roles in debilitating the coup were Igbos.

You will also hear them saying that M.I. Okpala, the Premier of Eastern Region was not murdered because the Igbo coup executors in Enugu refused to touch him. However in the biography of Shehu Musa Yaradua, Yaradua
narrated the events of that night. Yaradua was a Lieutenant and he stated that he was practically in charge of the Enugu battalion that night. He
narrated that his commanding officer, Lt.Col Fajuyi was in Lagos. The 2nd in command, who was Major Akonobi, was according to Yaradua’floundering’.
He, Yaradua, was the one that received the signal from the Brigade command in Lagos. And he REFUSED to obey it. He said he refused to obey because he wanted to hear from the Brigade Commander directly, but they could not put him on.

He also narrated that it was him that secured the Archbishop of Cyprus and his entourage, as well as the Premier of Eastern Region. Otherwise the Premier would have been murdered. So much for the conspiracy theories that Igbo officers & men refused to murder M.I. Okpala because they are same tribe. Or is distinguished Major Gen. Shehu Musa Yaradua, of blessed memory a liar?

Meanwhile the coup failed not only in Enugu, but also Kano and Benin. Of course Kano and Benin are Igbo land.

You will never hear members of the Military-North Complex that ruined Nigeria mention the IFEAJUNA MANUSCRIPT, which detailed their true plans and intentions. The document detailed clearly their intention to hand over
power to Chief Obafaemi Awolowo. No less a person than Odia Ofeimun, Chief Awolowo’s private secretary for a long time, and renowned poetry revealed this. Obasanjo had also referred to this document, most likely in a Freudian slip.

All other coups in Nigeria, led by different tribal elements, non bears a tribal moniker. Only the first coup. An institutional attempt to justify
all the genocides and official discriminations against Ndi Igbo. All these continue to fuel the burning quest for Ndi Igbo to leave this vindictive union.

It’s time Nigeria officially stops the revisionism. If the Military north Complex thinks their version is the right one, let them have the courage
to open an official truth inquest, into the events of that cold January night.

Let us see if it can help us get an acceptable closure to that painful and fatal epoch.

Olisa Akukwe.

When we hear the public utterances from scums like Al Mustapha, it makes the case for Biafra more compelling , more imperative.
This is a man who is an embodiment of Terror, who ran a murderous Terror group, ran around the country murdering freedom fighters against the insanely kleptomaniac and murderous scum called Abacha.
This same scum mocked and taunted Yoruba superior officers, Generals for being ambitious and not accepting the crumbs of power their Northern masters afforded them.

ok,if your sister kills one of your children, would you continue to love like you used to? If your answer is No. Then the kind of love you used to have before your spouse started cheating is same you have for your sister before she murdered your son. Point is, we set values, standards and attributes we expect people in our life to meet. For instance, My brother has failed me by being greedy and selfish at sometime, I still love him but I do not love him as I used to. We are hurt by people that affect that kind of love we show towards them!
Again, I don't disagree with you.
My point remains, and I am sure that agree with me that the love for one's sister, parents, or child is a different category of love than we have for our spouses.
I mean , the statistics says it all.

While the divorce rates are constantly growing in our society, and even stands at about 50% in some countries, the disownment rate of sisters, parents and offsprings are too negligible to even register statistically. grin
That says it all.

@ first bolded, wait till your sister offends you or does something unimaginable.
@ second bolded, how can you give "unconditional love" to your children and give "conditional love" to a woman that brought them forth.. Thats strange in my thoughts.. You can only love your kids as much as you love their mothers.
A: My sister offends me does not invalidate the unconditional love. Maybe for some people, but not for me.

B: Because , loving your wife or spouse was a choice you made based on positive re-enforcement mechanisms that you both share. Now, if that positive re-enforcement loop is weakened by suspicions, infidelity or just natural atrophy over time, then the feelings of unfullfilment and unhappiness sets in.

[quote author=majekdom2 post=58753166

The love for your children is TOTALLY independent of, and impervious to and for the love for your spouse.

Again , I don't disagree with you.
The love, for example that I have for my mother, my sisters and my children are pure , unconditional Love. In this love, I don't need or expect constant assurances and nourishment to fuel or keep it burning.

The love I have for a mate or wife is different. That one is conditional, whether we admit it or not. It needs constant revalidation and nourishment, re-evaluations, etc, as well as being jealous, possessive and vulnerable to mutual suspicions.

These are the reasons why it hardly stands the tests of TIME.

that is lust... Love is love, same way truth is truth! A man that does not love his fellow man cannot love a woman. A man that steals and can kill a fellow man cannot love a woman. He is either in lust o obsessed with that being. Thats how it works. I don't mean to come religious. The bible says, Love your neighbour as yourself even if you can't love completely, love. The same bible says, husband's, love your wife. I grow to love someone when the person pleases you in all. God loves us regardless of our sins. But he shows more love to those that please him. Thats how it work. And who are those that please God, the ones that share his values... so you can't love someone who does not share your value. You can't be friends in the first instance.
Lol.
Let's not get religious here, otherwise I might have to show you a thing or two about god's Love.

Now, back to the issue.
Firstly, no one is talking about marrying god, so god and his love is not the issue here. After all, gods love is supposed to be comparable with a parent-child love, a different kind of love than what we are discussing on this thread.

My point is that people conflate the lusts and hormonal activity between a man and a woman with love.

The truer love is the one that is seeded, watered, grows and matures with time. It could only get better with time.

The other type, the type where we are quick toconvince ourselves that we are in love, inevitably withers with time.
Family › Re: Marry and Grow In Love Or Marry The Person You Love, Which One Is Better? by plaetton:
Benita27:
Nothing will make me marry someone I don't love with the hopes of growing in love in the future.

Marry whom you love.
My dear, do you know what love really is?
Love has different Facets.
Sexual love, which most people know as love, is simply a chemical reaction, an illusion that inevitably wears off sooner or later.
The deeper you think you are in love with someone, the deeper the illusion.
Such love has grand expectations, desires and demands.
Heartbreak and unhappiness comes from the agony of unfulfilled expectations and desires.
This love always tend to fail the test of time.

Now, on the other hand , the love that grows and evolves over time is sturdier and more resilient, having been built stage by stage on foundations of trust, respect, friendship and family cohesion.

So, here , we see here that one type of love grows with time, while the other tend to wither with time.

Still warped and senseless analysis from a product of merit educational system.
Middle class this and that without a single correlation to the realities. In that empty Economics you learnt, state's resources vis-a-vis the standard of living of citizens must have been omitted as a topic.
By this akpu logic, countries like Rep of Niger and some other poor neighbouring countries don't have good Economists I guess. Or you are the only Economist in the world, even though relating the state's resources to the well being of a country's citizens has proven to be a herculean task for you. Assuming the so-called middle class were even better then than now, then tell me what you understand by "recession"

That apart, where are these middle classes you are busy making noise about? Who are they? Bla bla bla, no single report to substantiate claim, are you confusing nairaland for beer parlour?

Again, let's even assume these imagined middle class exist, who constitute the bulk of noise makers in this administration? Are they the paupers or the same middle class? By implication, the poor Nigerians were very much satisfied with their poverty then and this is the time to make noise abi?

Again, still on this fictitious middle class, was the govt resources intended for them or for every Nigerian? Is that why the ogogoro master was celebrating the creation of more thieves millionaires during his administration?
Now, the yet to be answered question is, why was the govt expenditure more of recurrent than capital, since the only index of development (as you have been trying to prove) is enrichment of some imagined middle class, even though we all know that is the worst form of public financial expenditure, and coincidentally, by a PhD holder from a merit educational system?
What happened to roads, power, health and a host of other infrastructures necessary for development that should have reasonably justified the "increased expenditure"? Or is it just about enrichment of some "middle class"?
What a load of garbled nonsense.
You know, if you were a bit more coherent and honest , we could actually have a sincere discussion or debate about these issues.
For example, GEJ built rehabilitated roads. He built 12 new federal universities, the majority in the educationally disadvantaged North. He invested in rail transportation, electricity generation, etc.
He increased expenditures in education, health services, Agriculture, security and defense. He created a better climate for foreign investments, and they came. In case they didn't teach you in school, expanded economic activity translates to more mire employment, opportunities and wealth for individuals in the economy. That is how wealth and social mobility spreads. It doesn't mean that EVERYONE will be better off, but that the opportunities to move up in the economic ladder are more within reach of more people. That is how you measure good economic management and governance.

Facts and figures on how the ordinary Nigerians fared very well in the midst of this abundant resources, not some beer parlour gists.
Again, ORDINARY NIGERIANS, not the likes of Alison Madueke, Dasuki or Alex Badeh.
My pleasure to educate you, if only you can be grateful.

If you had taken a simple lesson in secondary school economics, you would have known that the there is no such thing , no homogeneous group known as ordinary Nigerians when measuring economic progress.
But there is a homogeneous group called the middle class.
The middle class, being the intermediary class between the rich and the poor, are the most watched class and measured class for economic and social mobility.
When the middle class grows or expands, that signals economic progress( 2010-2015).
When the middle class shrinks or is decimated by the unexpected moronic and suicidal economic policies of incompetent buffoons in governance(2015 - present) , then obviously, economic and social stagnation is noted.

Therefore, the average Nigerian that you speak of is either a poor person struggling , with the dream of joining the middle class, or a former middle class person , cast out like a fallen angel back into the dungeon of the poor, thanks to putting the serious and critical job of governance to the products of a quota system.

Early 19th century (earlier ( mid. 17th century) as depletion): from Latin deplet- ‘emptied out’, from the verb deplere, from de- (expressing reversal) + plere ‘fill’ (from plenus ‘full’).

How much foreign reserves did OBJ inherit in 1999?

Good point.
You know, the British, our former colonial masters, actually have manual on how to destroy and or permanently keep a nation or a people going round in circles. It is quite simple. Create a system that ensures that the most sensitive and critical tasks or positions are given to the laziest or least qualified.
Go back to the history of Nigeria , and this MADE-IN-BRITAIN template for national failure is what you will find.
Again, go back to Nigerian history and see that the only times when qualified people occupied critical positions in governance are the only few times Nigeria has seen positive changes and progress.
So, yes, once gain, illiterates are in sensitive positions in governance, and once again, we are paying very hefty prices for it, and will do so for a very long time.

Is it not better you use that declaration as an opportunity to bloody get out rather than coming to nairaland and start fuming? Go and pursue your agenda and stop disturbing us here.
Lol.
Look who is foaming in the mouth. smiley
Do you think Nairaland is your personal harem, where differing opinions are not allowed? huh
I have the right to post , vent and pontificate as much as I like on any issue I like.

The onus is on you to gather the mental and intellectual muscle to challenge or repudiate whatever points I have made or that you don't like.

I know you expect everyone in the zoo to behave and fall in line like sheep, zombies , and feudal serfs.
That's why you need to recognize that you an I are not from the same universe.

Yimmu, so parasites and tapeworms are different, Mr "merit" educational system?
Again, who exactly are the parasites and who are the hosts?
Pls, substantiate your whatever your claim is with facts answer figures, not all these bla bla bla.
Read it again.
I have the exclusive latitude structure my words and sentences, as long as they are grammatically correct, in any manner, putting emphasis wherever I want to, to achieve both my visual and subliminal goals.
That, of course, is something that I do not expect the '18 and 12' scorers in a quota educational system to understand.
That is why I advised vedaxcool earlier on to keep very quite when a '65 or 66' scorer speaks.

Well, in this very case, the hosts and parasites are very clear.

Peter Okoye and the rest of Nigeria's music and entertainment industry, for example, are creators, creators of value , wealth , foreign exchange and exporters culture and name recognition(priceless by every standards).
These people understand the nuances of their industry, and they respond accordingly to the demand and supply dynamics of their marketplace.
Now, you have Alhaji Lai Mohammed, a politician, a man no creative ability or imagination, a minister by the grace of Buhari's nepotism, the equivalent of a tapeworm in the underbelly of the Nigerian political and economic life, trying to dictate, by imperial hubris, how an industry show run their business, ignoring how demand and supply dictate the marketplace.
Lai Mohammed is symptomatic of how tapeworms behave: Hubris

How can he be right? OK
The music and entertainment business is just like every other business. It dances to the tune and dynamics of demand and supply. Duuuhhhh!! undecided
The Nigerian music industry grew from virtually nothing in the last 20yrs to become a force to be reckoned with internationally, not to talk of the billions in foreign exchange that it earns for Nigeria.
Only people not grounded in elementary economics would not see it that way, and to try to treat that industry like they command and control cows.

And this faulty thinking by the vagabonds in governance is responsible for the comatose condition of every thing in Nigeria.
Just like Vedaxcool has clearly demonstrated here in public, they barely understand how enterprises function.

can anyone be more foolish? The foreign exchange used in shooting video can better be used in purchasing equipments etc they shout zoo because of their apparent incapability to reason .... a fool think cheating and scoring 66 means he actually scored 66 what a slowpoke. Does Psquare generate the fx he uses? No he actually purchase from the government supply which currently is limited due to the activities of thieves you tlblindly defend out of tribalistic disease it is a waste of fx which can better be used for more pressing issues only a foolish man leaves his health, manufacturing sector etc to shoot a video abroad... but 66 seems like -66 in the evil forest republic.
Unbelievable shocked

Does P,-Square generate Fx?
What level of illiteracy is this?

Can everyone reading from this slowpoke see the proof, the pitfalls and evils of the quota system? undecided

This slowpoke, like his mentors, Lai Mohammed and co, doesn't understand the ABC of the mechanics of showbiz and entertainment.

YES ,slowpoke, P-Square generates millions of dollars per year, more FX than local currency in his enterprises.
Again , only a system that produces lazy parasites, tapeworms and feudal rentiers would produce a Vedaxcool, an ignorant fishbrain, who doesn't understand that entertainers earn foreign exchange when they tour or perform abroad.

You first die then carry along all the fools you know along with you! By the way foreign exchange is the government money since psquare doesn't fart our oil now get out
Foreign exchange is government money ? huh
Can anyone be this stuuuuuuuuupd?
You see? undecided
When a student from Abia scores 66 to pass jamb, another from your zoo scores 12 or 18 to pass same jamb.
And tomorrow, same people, you and Lai Mohammed, are put in critical areas of governance, and then you proudly advertise stuuupidity online and in governance.

With 12 and 18 scorers occupying sensitive positions in governance, Noooooo wonder Nigeria is such a basket case Zoo.

66 and 18 are not the same number. Therefore you should learn to shut your mouth when the '66' cutoff marks people are talking and creating beneficial enterprises.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ... 64 65 66 67 68 69 70 71 72 (of 422 pages)
