PoliticsRe: The BON Presidential Debate Of March 29th: Dara vs Ndok vs Utomi by playmode(m): 8:37pm On Mar 29, 2011
Honestly PAT UTOMI is Nigeria's best choice but No, we Nigerians don't like good things.I am watching the live stream now here in South Africa at 10 megabytes per second because internet is unlimited and affordable here,it is not considered a luxury unlike Nigeria. Many Nigerians can not even afford to link up to the internet talkless of watching the debate on live stream.I pray that Mr Pat Utomi becomes the president in the future.

The audio is terrible though with so much sound echo, i mean the standard of the Nigerian media is nothing short of terrible. The stage is a digrace and i am ashamed to realize that NTA is still using outdated cameras and what's with the green colour splashed every where,i know our flag is green but who ever designed that stage is clearly not informed about modern trends, the stage look likes a herbalist shrine undecided

So beaf, where is is your boyfriend or suga daddy , Jonathan ? You and him are sons of b.i.t.c.h.e.s.Where is he? You have no dignity hey,you have sold your soul for a bag of rice and biscuits.People like you should be stripped n.a.k.e.d and locked up in a dungeon. You wish evil upon your fellow Nigerians.GEJ is pure evil ,He is a fxcking cunt and a disgrace to our nation. He will get what is coming to him soon.Let him know that we are bringing the fight to him.May you and him rot in hell!

What a  transformation by Governor Ikedi Ohakim , Imo state is now a paradise! If Governor Ikedi Ohakim can perform these in four years, with all the distractions in court cases and negative propaganda he  encountered,
I came to this state for years ago(2007) and saw what was on ground,  and i can confidently say that the government of Dr Ikedi Ohakim has done a very good job under four years, He needs to be re-elected for the good works to contine. God bless Ikedi  Ohakim. The story continues at Ohakim2011.com
You should travel out of Nigeria and see what real transformation is really like.Your Imo state of today can not even compete with soweto, Africa's largest and most developed ghetto. You call exposed sand pits in a public area neatness, you have a brain of a monkey.Your Ikedi should be whipped with koboko butt n.a.k.e.d in public and shot at the stake after.
PoliticsNigeria's First Clown President by playmode(op): 9:20am On Mar 29, 2011
Is it just me or has Nigeria entered the unofficial  Guinness book of records a second time in less than 24 months. Just a few months ago, we were notoriously noted has been the first country to ever have a dead president in charge of a country. These days the joke making the rounds on the internet is that Nigeria is the first country to have a pimped styled clown president.

Well i can’t say i blame them much, Jonathan is a real clown and should be relegated to the circus. I mean a president who can control the media with such iron fist and ask them  not to accept jingles criticizing his government or is it the fact that he instructed the inspector general of police to warn the whole nation not to use digital devices at polling stations.

The same president whose election strategy is to share bags of rice and PDP branded biscuits to the public. A man who have never made any intelligent statement since he got into office but claims to have a PhD in zoology or whatever.

A man who has decimated our federal funds of over $20billion but has NO SINGLE  Achievement to show for it. The same man who shamelessly referred to his opponents as rascal but is more or less a thug himself.

A man who surrounds himself with the most corrupt individuals known to the human race but claims to be fighting corruption. A man who is currently training his personal mercenaries in south Africa  to become skilled assassins  but claims to be a breath of fresh air.

A man who accepted a presidential debate invitation only to turn it down at the last minute. The same man who initiated his own BON debate but bars certain candidates from attending.

Yes we have a clown as a president all right and there is nothing democratic we can do to change that because 90% of Nigerians are unintelligent and unpatriotic. In a country like Japan for example, Jonathan would not even be qualified to work as cleaner in the presidential  palace talk less of holding any political  office.

The government of the past has intentionally underfunded the education sector so that more and more Nigerians will remain semi educated and unintelligent. Our lack of proper internet access is also intentional so that most Nigerians within Nigeria will remain ignorant.PDP will never fix Nigeria and that is a sad fact.

I know a lot Gej payroll monkey s will jump on this thread and they are welcome to  do so because they just expose themselves as sub human cretins with the IQ of a goat.

I end with this one popular prayer:  May the lives of those who support and vote PDP be run the way PDP has run Nigeria for the past 12 years. Amen.

Did you guys really think that that goat ,jonathan can face Dele Momodu? Common people are you that stupid? This election is a farce and a waste of time.Jonathan will win the election by rigging. What we should be asking ourselves right now is : what happens after the elections are over? How do we deal with the menace known as the PDP and crush them for good?It took a bunch of teenage kids to topple the whole of Liberia , just saying? We are postponing the inevitable,it will get to that stage one day.

I stand with none of them. However if you can include REVOLUTION as one of the candidates i will glady select that option.

By the way ,all 4 of them are pretty damn ugly as well as clueless. Can't we ever have a good looking president like say Pat Utomi for instance. Then again , Nigeria is a country of educated and uneducated morons so that wish WILL never come true without a revolution or a complete split of the nation.

If Utomi cannot fit himself into any of the 3 or 4 minimum leading parties, then it is simply shows how high an expectation he has of himself. There are no permanent friends in politics, I am sure you have heard these words a million times but permanent interest.

Your man should get off his high horse and join one of the four leading party rather than been the kingpin in a down and trodden outfit no one has ever heard off.
UTOMI does not need to join any of the other parties. His party is under funded but that will soon change. There are millions of Nigerians in Diaspora remember.I won't say much but trust me when i say that will soon change. To be honest a 2011 presidency is not possible but come 4years from now.Pat Utomi will field a campaign stronger than any he has ever put up before and he will have fresh help, skilled campaign managers and proper funding from honest sources.

The poster is an "idioooot" Intelligent men don't necessary have to be president of a country. David Cameron is not the most intelligent Briton neither is Obama the most intelligent American. All 3 major opponents are average Nigerians by any standard and accord, they are not stark illiterates, they should be able to perform with a supposedly wealth of experience autocrats that have all the degrees u can think of guding them through all the upheavals of goverment, bearing in mind some have already been their and worn the T-shirt. You cannot beat experience even if u have Phd in 10 subjects.
You make me laugh with your post because it shows that you have little or no IQ. Did i say Pat Utomi is the MOST intelligent Nigerian or the most intelligent candidate available to serve? You should go back to school and learn how to read and understand. You and wesley80 are clearly not bright individuals.

You talk about the experience of the other candidates, what experience? Experience in taking over a Government with military force? Experience in fighting a selective anti corruption war. Or Experience in not being able to make any worthy improvement in one’s state?

Please save it for dummies like yourself who continue to bullshit Nigerians. Are you saying that UTOMI is a fresher, the guy has been a special assistant to a Nigerian leader before and he has continued to play a leadership role amongst the youths. He is highly respected more than the other candidates because he has no baggage. He is the kind of president the western world will truly respect and listen to because of his honesty. You all dislike him because he refuses to join "owanbe" parties, well shame on you.

You and your ilk are lazy and backward in nature that is why you will settle for the worst solution instead of going for the best. Can you imagine Americans voting for Sarah Palin over Obama, even republicans know that Sarah Palin is a joke and no presidential material.

'NN24 did not even invite the man to the debate because they knew he would be overkill for the other candidates'

Now thats a lie from the pit of hell. He wasnt invited simply cos he's not a 'serious' candidate period. It sure would be great to have an Utomi as president but fact is a vote for him at this time is a sure vote going down d drain and i hold no one else responsible than Utomi himself for his certain and now familiar failure. His decision to run on d platform of an obscure party with no identifiable members, no serious alliances and hope to achieve any form of success is just laughable. Nigeria is no America where people are swayed by ideology or impressed by intellect (at least majority of the people arent) like it or not the major determinants of political success are finance, ethnicity and political affiliations. Utomi hasnt got any of these going for him so his attempt at the presidency remains nothing more than a feeble one destined to fail from the outset.
Well this is why our country is not moving forward. Imagine if Americans were saying a vote for Obama was a vote down the drain because he was black and a Blackman will nevr win an election. That is why I said Niegria breeds idiots and unfortunately educated ones.If you are not willing to vote for a candidate simply because you think he will lose the election , then you have dignity issues. Are we not supposed to choose leaders that will fix our nation? In your opinion he is running on a platform with no identifiable members. Well this is because the members of his party are not the corruption ridden folks you prefer to vote for. The majority of his party members are honest people who do have not been in government for billions of decades and who do not have billions of dollars embezzled from government funds in the bank account.Your comment exposes the regressive thinking of so called educated Nigerians especially the youths of today. An intelligent person will never says that they will not vote for a candidate simply because his party does not have corrupt cabals and corrupt political heavyweights has members. Are we not looking CHANGE? Do you even know what Change means? I guess you ,well it means out with the old ,in with new.The fact that Professor Pat Utomi has continued to run on honest and transparent platforms shows that he is not a man that can be easily corrupted. Utomi can easily cosy up to corrupt cabals but he is a disciplined & honest man and he has a dream that he wants to fulfill for the Nigerian people. .Unfortunatelt 90% of Nigerians are too daft or too hungry to see that.Utomi may never be president but in my books and in the books of other HONEST Nigerians ,he a true leader and a source of inspiration.

9ijaMan:
You are far from the truth. The big questions all those clamoring Pat Utomi have failed to answer is this: What has the same Pat Utomi offered Nigerians in the past? What is he offering us now? We already know what a PhD holder can do an leader a notion has almost nothing to do with the academic and/or oratory prowess.

Once again you are accusing me of the same problem you have. Where in my reply did I link Shekarau's achievements in governance to his eloquence in the debate? Perhaps you also need to learn to read and comprehend before rushing to pass judgement. I asked you a simple question to tell us how Pat Utomi is different for Shekarau, you failed to answer the question, instead you delved into castigating the man Shekarau and claiming he crammed his responses during the debate. Perhaps you are suggesting he got the questions before hand!

What intelligence and idea driven issues has Pat Utomi raised which is absent in the other candidates? Educate us instead of making general statements which would yield nothing. Pat Utomi is at best a better talker than Shekarau and that's precisely where it ends. Itemize Pat's achievements in and out of government for us, if any. Tell us his policies which you objectively feel will be better than what the others have to offer. I've been alive long enough to know that the empty barrels make the loudest of Noise but I will openly reason with you if you can put forward a superior argument in support of Pat Utomi.

As a Nigerian, I do not give a rats azz about the level of academic/educational achievement of the guy who is up there, but I'm more concerned with what the person has to offer. The most successful men in the world today are not the most academic. In fact I cannot recall a PhD holder being amongst them. Leadership is not in anyways synonymous to scholarship.
Aliko Dangote, does not have a PhD and he's sitting atop the most successful business empire in the history of Nigeria. How many conglomerates does Utomi control?
You are here busy frustrating yourself over a topic whose purpose you fail to understand. Why do you want me to itemize his achievements in Government for you? Did you read your comment? This is not a specific campaign for UTOMI ,this is a question to dummies like you who still support clueless candidates. What has your shekarau done by the way that has got you so pumped. I like UTOMI because of his sincerity and his ideas. You have a computer ,do some research yourself and don't ask me to convince you about anything. You are a grown man ,you can make up your own mind.It is like you asking me to stop you from jumping in a lava pit. Why should i do that ,if you are not intelligent enough to know that that will not end well ,then GOODLUCK to you.You talk about Aliko Dangote ,you are a joker. A man who gained his wealth through corrupt affiliations is your perfect example of a leader. Don’t you get it? Pat Utomi is not about conglomerates or billions of dollars. He does not care about owning 20 rolls royce or 10 range rovers. He offering his service and he has ideas, ideas that  even your shekarau will will not be able to come with in a billions years. So you don’t think Pat Utomi is fit for the presidency because he doesn’t own conglomerates? Do you know that Pat Utomi started Lagos business school which is now Pan African University? The youths know Utomi ,he speaks to the people ,he offers ideas even to Government officials but they never listen to him because they are corrupt.

I am no professor UTOMI but even your shekarau will be made mince meat of if he debate with me .I don’t have any achievement in Government but I have great ideas which if implemented properly will see the will Nigerian wheel of recovery turn faster; simple and practical ideas that will actually impact the lives of Nigerians.

Your shekarau is a sitting Governor ,what has he done for Kano that is worth noting? Name just 3 things that are worth noting. Kano is still a backward desert no foreign investment coming ,zero economy, a massive population of beggars, bad infrastructure e.t.c. How come he has not implemented some his great ideas to turn kano into a mini lagos?

Crude Oil:
You said nothing but the truth. But here is another truth: You cant change the mentality of the Nigerian masses, they have been programmed to act like slaves.
I really wish Pat Utomi was the president of Nigeria, the man is the only educated, brilliant and intellectually efficient politician in Nigeria, but its a pity he cant be president. Why? Nigerians dont deserve such human beings, they would rather vote a military totalitarian,  a drunk pastor or something similar. I don't see hope for this country with the present political scheme.
@crudeoil, true talk my brother ,true talk. You nailed it on the head. Just take a look at the comment that followed yours. Jokers are never scarce on Nairaland. Where serious issues are raised and serious responses are required , jokers usually attempt to turn the thread into a beer parlour. They do deserve the type of leadership they get.

@Blazay ,same old rhetoric about someone whining from Joburg ,where else would you prefer i whine from ? Space or planet Jupiter? What makes you think i don't travel to Nigeria regularly or engage in political affairs? If guys like you have not paid attention to Professor Pat Utomi who has been campaigning for years ,why should i think you will listen to me? Crudeoil has said it all : slave mentality!

@9ijaman, Obviously you did not read TO UNDERSTAND otherwise you will know what my write up is intended for.I am not directly campaigning for Professor Pat Utomi,i am asking people like you why you would neglect a candidate like Pat Utomi who is clearly the most genuinely educated (with no fake Ph.Ds) ,most intelligent and most idea driven candidate available right now to serve.NN24 did not even invite the man to the debate because they knew he would be overkill for the other candidates? If you think shekarau based on his performance in the debate is a better candidate than the prof ,then good luck to you.You say he has a solid advantage.Care to elaborate as i dont see how that individual can move Nigeria forward with cramming technique. His perfomance in the debate was above average when you compare him to presidential candidates in other civilized countries. He did not offer detailed solutions on how to solve problems, he just made suggestions which seemed like something he crammed or learnt from his tutor. The prof is idea driven and if you read his speeches or watch his video. You will see that this is a man that actually thinks and offers DETAILED solutions to several problems affecting Nigeria.Have you read about his plan to improve Nigeria's infrastructure?
PoliticsNIGERIA : A nation that breeds idiots by playmode(op): 6:57pm On Mar 20, 2011
Over the past few weeks I have read several senseless posts from various senseless Nairaland posters under various senseless threads. When I first joined nairaland, I thought it was a place where I could rub minds with intelligent Nigerians but over the past 12 months I have since realized that 98% of the nairaland lot are a bunch of jokers/idiots who  only comment just to make fun of Nigeria directly and indirectly.

While citizens of better performing countries than ours are kicking out incompetent Governments , we sit on our behinds and smile like monkeys. An American once told me that Nigerians are the dumbest people on the planet and I am beginning to believe that is true.

I watched the presidential debate on NN24 and I was highly disappointed at how terrible all the candidates fared in the debate. Even the mallam, who everybody is praising as the winner of the debate did not impress me one bit. All I heard was promises ,no single outlined plan on how to solve any of Nigeria’s problems.

It is a shame that Nigerian standards has fallen so low but I do not blame the candidates  ,I blame all of you. Yes all you Nigerians including myself. We are officially the dumbest people on the planet. The number 1 mugus of the world. A country of over educated buffoons. Out of 150 million people,we are unable to choose idea driven individuals to lead us ,instead we rely on Goodluck, Sai baba ,anti corruption czar e.t.c!

It just goes to show that our civil society is dead. No morals ,no self esteem, no dignity and absolutely no IQ! There are 5 presidential candidates if I am not mistaken and one of these candidates stand out as an intelligent individual who has the capability and ideas to drive Nigeria forward. This man is no other than Prof Pat Utomi. This man is 1 billion times better than all the other candidates combined but because he does not have money or because he has not shared bags of rice to you people ,you do not mention his name talkless of voting for him.

If these was a serious country Dr Pat Utomi will be considered a serious candidate and perhaps a cadre of the people but NO , trust Nigerians to do things the Nigerian way.

Have any of you ever thought about it ,that the reason why our country is a Poo.H.O.L.E is because we do things the Nigerian way ,how about we stop for a second and try to do things the right way for the betterment of our country.

We Nigerians are silly , selfish, greedy ,corrupt ,wicked and evil. We carry the biggest bibles and the biggest Korans but there is nothing darker that the Nigerian heart and there is nothing more gullible than the Nigerian mind. There is nothing good about us because we prefer to enslave our fellow Nigerians than vote for a great candidate.

At the rate at which we are going ,soon a goat from the forest who can not even speak any audible human language will contest for presidency in Nigeria and it will win the election as long as it give us and our hungry relatives bags of rice as well as okin biscuit to eat.

I am a Yoruba man and I will vote for the right candidate whether he is Igbo ,hausa ,Yoruba ,ND or whatever.

DR PAT UTOMI FOR PRESIDENT 2011 – Nigeria’s only intelligent ideas and solutions driven candidate.

P.S I am not related to the professor and I have never met him before but I have read a lot of his speeches and watched a lot of his videos and he is undoubtedly the best candidate right now for Nigerians.

This commercial is not an easy one to judge. The first time i watched this ad I was angry. Mind you, I am a Nigerian living in SA but I could not stand the fact that they had included that sentence in the advert. This advert instantly reminds me of the movie district 9 and several other movies (Jerusalema e.t.c) where SA producers directly or indirectly take jabs at Nigeria and Nigerians.

I think the producers of this commercial could have used another set of words to describe SA’s greatness without using the exact words “Giant of Africa”. The fact that the statement was made by a Nigerian makes the commercial suspect.

Furthermore , the fact that she included the word “actually”  or "truly" in her sentence insinuates that people wrongly believe that another country (Nigeria) is the giant of Africa.

Only GOD knows the true intentions of the producers, it could have been a honest mistake even though I seriously doubt that.

Having said that, situations like this should make us reflect on the current situation of our country and the kind of leaders we pay allegiance to. Many of the Nigerians on this thread crying foul about this advert are the same people supporting Jonathief in a do or die manner.

If we as a nation improve our own situation ,citizens of countries like SA will think twice before making fun of us or taking jabs at us.

Finally South African producers and journalist do not represent true south Africans. I work with true South Africans everyday and they have nothing but love for me. Once in a blue moon, you get the racist white or xenophobic black south African but  majority of south Africans are generally friendly and easy to get along with.

If you don’t offend them in anyway or commit crimes in their neighbourhood, you are welcome to stay in their midst as long as you wish. Don’t be fooled by media propaganda,  Saffers are very nice people.

Ask the over 1 million Nigerians currently living SA ,at least 500,000 Nigerians are married to SA women and work with SA peeps on a daily basis. Most of the Nigerians who get treated badly here are criminals (usually drug dealers)who have engaged in one crime or another and that is a FACT!

You cannot hide outside the country and expect to lure others to their deaths. The Google executive you talked about was there in Tahrir Square leading the protest, not somewhere in South Africa.

By the way, with what data do you estimate ten million Nigerian Facebook users?

You forget that as Nigerians, our major rift is tribalism. Any form of revolution would turn into tribal war, and protesters would start killing one another.

I want you to come home and study the situation properly before sponsoring a revolution that is already fundamentally flawed. I'm a revolutionary myself, and I've studied and seen too many cracks.

We have not even talked about the general apathy of our people to their environment and situation.
What makes you think ,i am HIDING outside the country.I am bold and those in SA are aware of my presence and the noise i am making in Nigerian circles. My being in SA does not keep me safe from the Nigerian government.Just a few weeks ago a Nigerian was killed in SA by people believed to be working for the Nigerian Government.

You say i am luring others to their deaths, that is wrong.I said let us start mobilizing here on NL ,just like you and i are conversing now ,let others join us online and let us take it from there.A revolution is not 10 or 500 people marching the streets like SNG.A revolution occurs when everybody in the country has heard about what is going on ,the more people talk about it ,the more people will join. But if we are defeating ourselves by discouraging others we are just prolonging the problem.

I am asking you to talk to friends and relatives ,they in turn will talk to others and it will spread. It may not happen overnight with time ,more people will join the movement. No one person is courageous to face the government but in large numbers (i am talking 50 to 100,00 protesters) the armed forces cannot and will not open fire.

We cannot always look at the negative and give up.We have to try,our Independence from the British was fought for with blood. We need to think about our future first and worry less about the negatives. If we start talking to one another ,soon we will realize that we share the same opinion.Forget about tribalism, tribalism is only as strong as you make it to be.If you want to  effect change you cannot bother yourself with petty issues like tribalism.

You have not tried yet so you don't know what is going to happen. If we don't try then who is going to do it for us.

We need to start the conversation right now,we need to inform those close to us to think and ask themselves if what is going on is acceptable.

Fela was one man ,one man! He tried to wake us up but we refused to wake up.We can't give up ,we have to try.

Here is a fact for you: NIGERIA WILL NEVER BE A GREAT COUNTRY WITHOUT A REVOLUTION.

We will continue to have a 4th world country with corrupt leaders for the next 50 years without a revolution.

If you study what is going on you will see that Nigeria is on the path to destruction except it is freed from the clutches of the PDP.

This elections are a sham and you know it just like everybody else knows it.We can do better.

We have a huge population ,we can use that to our advantage but if we keep defeating ourselves like this then we might as well all migrate and leave the country to cabals to inhabit it alone.

Why don't you come live in Nigeria for 3 years first so you can have a real grip on things.
Bros ,this has got nothing to do with me living in Nigeria.I am asking Nairalanders to mobilize,a revolution starts from somewhere. You can not sit at home and expect others to fight for you.You have be ready to move along with other citizens to effect change. We need to change our lazy attitude towards change. If Obama was lazy and undetermined in his campaign ,he won't be president today. What will living in Nigeria for 3 years do to me except to further frustrate me.We are talking about changing people's mentality.I asked that you talk to your friends and relatives ,you are asking me to come back home  undecided

This is why we are still slaves in our own country because we never heed the call ,instead ,we sit and makes excuses. When the young egyptian boy called for a revolution on Google, fellow Egyptians heeded his call ,they did not make excuses or ask egyptians in diapora to come back home ,they simply heed the call and followed the cause to the end.It took them only 3 weeks. The have a more wicked police than ours and a better trained army but they swallowed their fear and chased the depot out.Why can't we do that in Nigeria? A free Nigeria wqill benefit everyone and not just me.

I guarantee you ,if we can have the kind of crowd they had in Egypt protesting in lagos and Abuja,Jonathan will run into exile within 1 week.

You say i don't know the first thing about a revolution,do you? Is there a written manual somwhere depicting revolution techniques? Did the people in Egypt read a revolution manual before they took to the streets? undecided

A revolution happens because of collective opinion by a group of people who belong to a sovereign nation or country and are tired of their rulers. They don't need to be educated ,rich or a specialist in warfare. They just need to be in agreement with each other and ready to mobilize.
PoliticsA Call To Revolution by playmode(op): 12:29pm On Feb 15, 2011
I don't even know where to start from because i am pretty pissed right now.I love my country to death but i hate my country to death. Everyday i come on NL ,i leave with a miserable feeling in my stomach. The reason being Nigeria is going from bad to worse.I am tired of the status quo as i am sure many of you are. Before i go any further i will like to re-introduce my self to NLanders.

My forum name is Playmode
I am a 30 something year old Nigerian Living In South Africa
I have been out of Nigeria for 9 years
I am a successful entrepreneur and owner of 3 thriving companies in Johannesburg
I am well traveled having visited several countries in the west and the east

It is important that i introduce myself because i want everyone that reads this piece to understand why my heart bleeds for my country.I am so successful and blessed that i can choose not to give a damn about Nigeria.

I am very much at home in South Africa because i am so used to the country now and i enjoy the easy lifestyle here.

Why ? because:

No worries about bad roads or electricity ( World class infrastructure)
Easy banking solutions
Easy methods of setting companies and running your business
Ease of buying a property or properties
Unlimited SUPER FAST (10 megabytes per second) broadband internet
Ample business and investment opportunities
Strong Currency
Ability to do cross border business and be trusted by foreign companies because of the SA's good reputation
Low levels of corruption in Government and the private sector
Rule of Law is actively upheld

I can go on and on but i am sure you get the picture.

As you can see in my opinion i am okay where i am but that does not mean that i am at home or that i should forget where i am from.I am a Nigerian born and bred.Being raised in Nigeria helped me to take advantage of the numerous opportunities SA had to offer and legally enrich myself through it.

After being overseas for 9 years and after conquering every obstacle i came across and getting to the top,my attention has turned back home,my true home : Nigeria.

It hurts me to know that i can not relocate home except i intend to impoverish myself because Nigeria is such a difficult place for any honest person to thrive. The country is in shambles with 4th wold infrastructure, non existent Government ,a poorly educated work force and a citizenry with a mentality of absolute corruption.

MY heart bleeds for my country.

I know there are many Nigerians in diaspora like myself who have made a success of themselves and will want to come back home but can hardly do so because they don't want to let go of their easy lifestyles.

We all know why Nigeria is the way it is today but why do we still allow the status quo to remain.

I studied the Tunisia revolution and i studied the Egyptian revolution trying to find out what make the citizens of these countries different from us.At first i thought they were better educated than us but i soon realized that we are more educated then them.I also examined the theory that blacks are backward thinkers but that theory was also a hoax.So i dwelt on the topic for a while but still cannot find an answer.

I looked at all the topics on the politics section and i shook my head when i realized we waste our time debating on irrelevant issues when we should be clamoring for freedom. What is happening in Nigeria today is a new form of Apartheid. The political class keeps all the money for themselves while the ordinary citizen are left to suffer.South Africans fought and died for their freedom that is why they are enjoying today and living a fulfilled life.

Do you know that Nigeria has more facebook members than Egypt and Tunisia combined?

Egypt's army is 468,000 strong with another 476,000 reserve

Nigeria's army is 80,000 and no reserves :  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_troops

Egypt's population is 80 million strong , Nigeria is 150 almost double that of egypt.

So how come a few men numbering less that 5,000 are holding us to ransom?

Just this morning on CNN ,citizens of Bahrain and Iran have started protesting. These may get their freedom while we as Nigerians continue to support backward leaders.Citizens of other countries are starting to free themselves while us Nigerian are continuing to sell ourselves into modern slavery.

We the youths have the power to effect change only if we cooperate. Some people here think it is impossible,i don't think it is.NL is Nigeria's most powerful tool at the moment and we can start the protest from here.We can tell our relatives and friends to start mini protests ,we can spread the word among the 10 million+ Nigerian facebook users as well as non Nigerian facebook users.Once the movement starts on the web ,we can move to the streets. The Army and the police cannot do anything because they have heard and seen what happened in Egypt.

Instead of settling for old leaders ,we should force Jonathan to step down, new parties should be formed and fresh elections held with fresh new candidates. The PDP in particular and it's members should be barred from contesting any elections in Nigeria.

We can achieve this if we join our voice together. We have the power to effect change, the internet is a powerful tool for us ,let us use it while we can.My people ,please i beg you do not let Jonathan rule this country otherwise we are doomed. We should should look for intelligent young leaders in our midst who have great ideas and who not corrupt to move Nigeria forward. All Jonathan is doing is talk , talk ,talk and steal.I am ready to give my life for Nigeria but i want to know that i am dying for a worthy cause not for cowards. We have to mobilize, spread the word on facebook, there are many and mean million of Nigerians who are tired and want change ,let us mobilize now. This is the time.

The upcoming elections are a waste of time .Jonathan will rig the elections.Let us kick the PDP out now and have them all arrested and their assets frozen. We have to do this now.NL is the place to start. The members of NL surpass the number of soldiers we have in Nigeria. My people the time is now.We don't need to choose from buhari ,Jonathan or Ribadu, non of them are capable. They are all birds of the same feather. We need young minds with great ideas and respect for the people. We need a leader who listens to the the people not share a billion dollars of state funds with his friends. The ball is in our court ,this is not the 80s or 90s ,this is 2011 .

Let us start now ,no more talk talk ,let us start with action ,mobilize and get on the streets, let us form an organization and have those on the ground in Nigeria start these rallies.Let those of us in diaspora fund this movement,i will pledge my own funds ,i will sponsor the movement as much as i can and i will my ask my friends to do the same. The time is now ,fight for true Independence your true freedom.

Free yourselves from the disease known as the PDP.

The time is now.

^^^Don't worry bro, their time will come.Nothing lasts forever.

Instead of using that money to create more jobs for the poor, they are wasting it on a useless leader so they can get obscene contracts when he gets elected.

Instead of forming a collective to build roads and schools for the people ,they are using their wealth to oppress the same people they stole the wealth from.

Is it not the same Adenuga who bought a gold coffin for his sister or is it not the same adenuga who allegedly paid Beyonce Knowles $2million to sing at his child's wedding.Men like this burn in hell.

Don't worry our frustration will reach it's climax and something shall give.

The Inec software program which Jonathan "authorized" billions of naira for is a cheap program which you can buy on any hackers forum for a mere $40.It has no server protection and it has many back doors which can be manipulated by skilled hackers in a matter of minutes. It shows that Nigeria will never change.

Really? That would be very nice to see and partake in that revolution. But it must be a revolution that will see the 6 Geo-political zone go their different ways please. Not majority Lording themselves over the majority. We want the clown Jonathan to rule us in the South-South.So please let that underground stuff come on fast, cant wait for too long to leave this Slave master-servant relationship by the HAUSAS aginst the SOUTH-SOUTH
How old are you? 20 ,21?

So you mean to tell me that in the whole of South South, the best you guys can produce is Jonathief?

Common men ,are you trying to say the people of South South are brainless?

besides,I am "Ekiti parapo" on my fathers side and "Ondo Ijinle Paraku" on my mothers side ,so i can as well claim to be south South.

I dont care where Nigeria's leader comes from. What is blinding you is tribalism, you don't like GEJ because he is a good leader but because he is from South South.

Do you think that is a smart way to choose a leader of a country? hell no!

Check this out:

Imagine if hausas in Nigeria made up 100 million of Nigeria's 150 million population and they decided to vote for only an hausa candidate ,how will a southerner ever win an election?

Please answer that question.Choose quality leaders. To be sincerely honest with you,i dont like any of the candidates we have right now.I will rather run for president myself than vote for all these confused people with no plans because  know in my heart what i can do for Nigerians to make their lives better.

Non of these candidates can face me in a televised debate about how to move Nigeria forward because they don't have their own developed ideas, they rely on so called experts to think for them.If you want to be a leader you must have your own ideas and plans that you intend to initiate should you be elected to move your country forward.

No be say forming ,you know say Jonathief can hardly debate with most people on Nairaland about how to move Nigeria forward. He has been running away from debates since i have known him.Fashola challenged him recently but he has yet to respond.Seriously is that the kind of leader you want?

Open your eyes before it is too late,we are lucky we are in a democracy and not  military rule. This is the time for the youths to form a collective voice and say no to clueless leaders.Any leader that can not have a presidential debate is not worthy of our votes.Plain and simple,no excuses.I thought they said he had a Ph.D (even though i know it is fake,he probably paid to have the Ph.D)No one i know with Ph.D speaks the way he does and trust me i am from Ekiti,Ph.D holders full every corner for Ekiti.Just check out his interview with Iesha Sesai of CNN,that girl ridiculed him.My South African friends are still making jokes about that particular interview. It was humiliating for Nigerians like me in SA to see that our president was a fraud who neither prepared for the interview nor did he have any clue on what he should say or how he intends to move Nigeria forward. My SA friend nicknamed GEJ : President Ph.D  P,I,M,P. Even South African comedians make fun of Jonathan on stand up comedy shows ON TV! He is considered a Joke here.

How do think that makes me feel? Definitely angry because he brought this upon himself.

It has got nothing to do with his tribe,he is just a disgrace of a president and not someone i can be proud of.He is not sincere and he is too corrupt. What happened to the $13 billion oil reserves? What about the $1billion he shared on the 31st of December 2010?

In a country like china ,he would have been arrested a long time ago and jailed along with his wife and fellow crooks who are robbing Nigerians blind.

Like i said before ,i will solve Nigeria's power problem with just $6 billion dollars within 12 months.

There are several power solutions Nigeria can adopt like micro nuclear power plants which can power 20,000+ homes at a time.

http://www.hyperionpowergeneration.com/

Each plant costs $50Million

These can be installed underground in several cities to power the major cities of Nigeria.

Rural areas can be powered through wave energy from streams, rivers, waterfalls and oceans.

I won't follow the American system where the country is connected to a national power grid.Instead i will authorize each state to generate it's own power. Each state will have it's own independent power grid.Several power companies will be allowed to come into Nigeria to offer their different power solutions from hydrogen ,nuclear ,wave, kinectic ,solar, biofuel , e.t.c

There is a lot of trash being dumped on the roadsides in Nigeria everyday, those waste can be used to power homes and ever cars like they do in brazil.

The desert area of the north can be used for Solar farms like the ones in Egypt. ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/jul/12/egypt-solar-power )

This will create massive employment in the energy sector and it will encourage foreign investors to come in and invest.

I once wrote a letter to the Nigerian Government (under GEJ's rule) with all these ideas and i analysed the cost and even included the website addresses where they can contact these companies but i never got a reply.I went on to GEJ's facebook page and pasted something similar but nothing happened.

Your man GEJ is not sincere,he is not genuinely interested in the welfare of Nigerians.Just ask him what he did with $1 billion dollars on New years eve? That money could have built a solar plant that will power 25% of Lagos forever. These are simple ideas that he can follow. He does not need to consult any experts,it is simple common sense, hence i will make a far far better president than him and i am not even 40 yet.

Fresh Air my toto!.
