ComputersRe: Which Is The Best Internet Connection In Nigeria? by playmode(m): 8:54pm On Jan 30, 2011
As usual Nigeria never moves forward with the world. We are always 10 years behind. I feel so sad and angered reading all the posts here which depicts that Nigerians have to literally settle for s,h,i,t.

I have visited all the so called fastest Nigerian internet websites and all I can say is : May GOD help Nigerians.

None of the these Nigerian internet service is fast , they are as slow as snails.

In South Africa , you have got variety of internet connections starting from a 345Kps up to 21MB per second connection.

I use two networks,1 wireless 3G network and a full ADSL 10MB per second service.

I am currently using the laptop with the 3G and I am getting an average of 2 to 4Mb per second. My modem is capable of 7MBs

This is the service provider of my 3G service : http://www.vodacom.co.za

The Modem service charges per gigs used while the 10meg line is what we call Uncapped (unlimited) service.

This is the service provider of my 10Meg line : www.mweb.co.za

*I just had a look at the cobranet.org website and I see they are charging N90,000 for a 512k unlimited wireless line .That is absurd.

In South Africa a 512K unlimited line cost only N6000 naira per month.

So the Nigerian line of lower signal quality cost R84,000 more than SA’s high quality ADSL fibre optic line. Way to go Naija ISPs, you suck big time.

So all those Glo adverts I see everyday on CNN about the Glo 1 is horse shit.

Nigeria has the 2nd largest internet subscribers base in Africa so I wonder why the greedy internet companies cannot offer quality service. People like Mike Adenuga and MTN Nigeria directors should be shot. They are just fleecing money off Nigerians.

PoliticsUnrest In Egypt: What’s Going On? by playmode(op): 8:26pm On Jan 28, 2011
Violent protests have rocked Egypt this week, with demonstrators demanding the ouster of the country's longtime autocratic president, Hosni Mubarak. The tension increased today when Mohammed ElBaradei, a former top official at the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog agency and a high-profile Mubarak opponent, who had returned to Cairo in a bid to provide a leader for the mass movement, was placed under house arrest.

The unrest in the Arab world's most populous country -- a longtime U.S. ally -- comes on the heels of similar protests earlier this month in Tunisia, which forced that country's president to flee into exile. Today marks a pivotal moment in the anti-Mubarak demonstrations, with the government shutting down Internet access in the country and cracking down on social-media access among demonstrators communicating with the outside world. Mubarak has also imposed a curfew from 6 PM until 7 AM in Cairo in two other cities, which an AP report calls "the most dramatic  measure so far to quell riots and protests." (The government has since made the curfews nationwide, although protesters are continuing to disregard them.) You can watch al-Jazeera's live feed on the protests here.

Michele Dunne is a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for Peace. She has served as a specialist on Middle East affairs with the White House and the State Department, and has written widely on Arab politics, and political and economic reform. The Lookout asked her to explain what's going on in Egypt, and what it means for America.

LOOKOUT:Â What are the protesters angry about, and what do they want done?

M.D.: Protesters have a large number of economic, political, and human-rights grievances. Widespread youth unemployment, rigged parliamentary elections in November 2010, and the prospect of President Mubarak (in power since 1981) beginning another term--or being replaced by his son--are the sparks that set these demonstrations off. The demonstrators are asking for Mubarak to step down and make way for an interim government to prepare for free elections.

LOOKOUT: Is there a real chance that Mubarak's government might fall?

M.D.: Yes, there is a real possibility, but that does not seem to be imminent yet. As in Tunisia, the regime would begin to be uncertain if internal security services could not handle demonstrations and the army were called in. Armies generally don't like firing on their own civilians and sometimes will choose keeping the loyalty of the population over defending an unpopular ruler.

LOOKOUT: If so, what might replace Mubarak's regime? What role might ElBaradei play?

M.D.: There is a shadow government and parliament, formed in December, that has positioned itself as the opposition party with which the government can negotiate if things reach that point.  But things are very fluid right now. ElBaradei could possibly play a leadership role within the opposition, although up until now he has been more effective at articulating popular grievances than at organizing or leading opposition groups.

LOOKOUT: How might a shift in power affect U.S. interests?

M.D.: U.S. interests are being challenged here. The United States has been tepid in supporting human rights and democracy in Egypt for years and has to deal with the resentment among Egyptians because of that. Partly for that reason, and partly because of the close association of the United States with Israel, any alternate group that comes to power might distance itself from the United States to some extent.

LOOKOUT: What role, if any, is the Muslim Brotherhood or other Islamic groups playing?

M.D.: The Muslim Brotherhood, while still the single largest opposition group in Egypt, is not at the forefront of these protests. Rather, they are trying to get on the bandwagon at this point.

LOOKOUT: What are the similarities and differences between the situations in Egypt and Tunisia?

M.D.: Similarities include the fact that young people are leading the protests and that many of the grievances are common between the two countries: youth unemployment, corrupt government, human-rights abuses, and a leader in power for an entire generation who showed no sign of being ready to leave.

Differences include the fact that the Egyptian government has had far more experience with handling demonstrations; the Tunisian government seemed surprised and folded pretty quickly.

Go and HANG yourself if you cannot stand the sight of Nigerians who supposedly fit your stereotype.

That's who we are. You don't like, you FUUK OFF.

If they were Italians acting the same way you'd probably be drooling over them, you dumb self-hating buffoons.

Same applies to the  South Africans who ''can't stand'' Nigerians.

Do they think we can stand THEM?

With their crappy 70s Afros, queer accents, geeky ways, and subservient attitude to whites and ''coloureds''?

Pathetic. (Spit)

Meanwhile the same idiots coming here to talk rubbish about 'how Nigerians behave' are probably spending all their waking moments mimicking the culture of black Americans and Jamaicans, in dressing, accents, demeanour, and music - people even more ''brash and loud'' than Nigerians.

Oh but of course they're conditioned to regard non Africans as gods, while shouting down Africans whom they consider to be stepping ''above their station''. But just because YOU feel inferior does not mean that the majority of Nigerians do. So go cure yourselves of your inferiority complex, you nasty idiots, and stop bothering the rest of us.
When people are debating ,billy goats will find their way into the conversation.Do you have a reading problem?

So you fit the stereotype of a loud uneducated scruffy looking M>O>R>O>N, WHO F,U,C,K,I,N,G cares?

Go stick your head in a tomato! D,i,c,k,f,a,c,e.
PoliticsRe: We Must Speak The Truth About Nigeria Even If It Costs Us Our Lives - My Rant by playmode(m): 6:21pm On Jan 23, 2011
@ frosbel

Chai bros ,you took the words right out of my mouth. The truth is you are not careful ,you will give yourself heart attack. Many a time I wanted to pick up my computer’s monitor and smash it on the floor but thank GOD I restrained myself.

You asked for a solution? My solution is very simple but it requires serious and brave people as well as collective funding. I suggested here on Nairaland that we should start an online movement which could later on develop into a political party.

Some people said I was nuts. guess how many applications I received? = 12 applications from the more than 10000 people that frequent the politics section everyday?

Nigerians are too scared of the Government, nobody wants to die. Fela said it all in the Zombie song.

I am saying here again for everyone who loves Nigeria to read and partake.

LET US START A MOVEMENT HERE ON NAIRALAND:

I will sponsor the movement’s website free of charge. Membership is free. We will need some who is good at graphic design who can design our logo. I will also need a good web designer who can mange the cpanel and domain i will register. members will have a profile on the website with their photographs. No more hiding.

We can no longer be anonymous; we have reveal our real identities and make videos on youtube that our members can watch for moral inspiration. The movement must have recognizable leaders who will guide members. We also need some who is well informed in legal matters to help us develop our movements constitution.

I propose that the movement be named the :

Empowered Nigerian United Revolutionary Front = ENURF ( you know like enough is enough)

Empowered = Empowered by the people

Nigerian = Nigerian People’s Movement

United = Tribes united

Revolutionary = We seek change and to upstage the corrupt leaders

Front = A force to be a reckoned with or a formidable barrier against the status quo

______________________________________________________

I propose our motto to be = Discipline Before Governance

Or Discipline and Progress

I am open to better suggestions.

If we can muster up to 10,000 members or more and if we can post videos on you tube and CNN talking about the corrupt PDP and the political cabals; the government will have no choice but to meet with our representative and then we can make demands that will benefit the people. This is something we must commit ourselves to. I am ready if you are ready but we need more people.

Maybe we should create a thread where other people can sign up.

I spent much of my time on plans to carve Nigeria into pieces.
LOL, division will not solve our problems.Nigerians and Nigerian politicians/leaders have the same mentality regardless of tribe.Obasanjo is yoruba , Jame Ibori is ND ,Michael Aondoakaa is Igbo, Atiku is hausa. We need leaders with a progressive mentality first before we can talk of division otherwise we will have a bunch of uselesss countries which will even be worse off than Nigeria in a matter of 2 years.

Do you think that if Ojukwu had won the civil war ,he would have handed power over to democratically elected president? Common ,this Africa. Igbos would been eternally grateful to Ojukwu. He and his family would have used that advantage to rule over biafra like their own personal kingdom.Just by looking at the way he sucked up to abacha ,it shows that he is a leader that "could" have become a dictator (like mugabe and gadaffi) had he won the war.

You and i are the new generation ,we need to stop hanging on to the past and create our own solutions for the future. Whether Nigerians remain one country or divides we still need "Discipline Before Governance".

Is it a crime to run from police especially a police department notorious for extra-judicial murders? If this so-called competent police squared had conducted its investigation properly as you would have us believe, why must the police want a suspect to lead them to where the drugs are hidden?

Let me remind you that the original post indicated police came with sniffing dogs and should not require the help of an arrested suspect to lead them (police) to the stashes of drugs in the house. There is no saint under the sun. Do not rejoice over the sudden death of fellow man because it could be your turn tomorrow regardless of your position.
While I do not want drag this matter futher for the sake of repeating myself.I beg you not to say that I am rejoicing about another man’s death because that is uncalled for.No where in my comments did I indicate that I was happy he was killed. My second sentence in my first comment goes like this :

“We have to take a careful look at the circumstances.”

I went on to give examples of possible scenarios which could have played out on that day. At no point in time did I REJOICE about his/her death. As per my view, the death of any human being whether South African or Nigerian is a death to be mourned.

@Playmode
You set out to teach me manners but it seems you are struggling in the process as you have been abusing everybody else ever since. Abi you need the "vet" too?  Seriously, I am not disputing what you are saying. I am not in SA now but i have traveled to places with reasonable numbers of Nigerians and found certain attitudes embarrassing. Yet, you made a mistake which you may not realize because you maybe a novice on issues like this. There is a reason why countries defend their own no matter what. It is to make sure that this kind of killing and disdain of their peoples life abroad doesn't end up a regular practice. I have a classmate and towns guy in SA. I watched similar video like the one you posted here over 4 years ago, so I know what you are talking about. Kidnapping and drug peddling are serious issues.  But consider this scenario.

An innocent family somewhere in a village in Nigeria  is informed that their son in SA, (maybe the familys bread winner) was just killed simply because he was visiting a friends house and the police came calling while he was there. He was asked to "provide the drugs", he couldn't and as he was struggling to prove his innocence, he was suffocated to death. Helpless in the face of the ineptitude that is Nigeria's government, a family member who happens to visit this site once in a while signs in here and runs into this topic only to read you rant and rave about the behavior of Nigerians SA, creating the impression that this guy may not be innocent. I am not defensive. I am comfortable in my home. I just feel that you are making the right case at the wrong time and as such blunting any attention that can be focused on this crime committed by the SA police. I don't see how that helps to avoid the killing of an innocent Nigerian in SA in the future and thats my main concern. That is my point and I still maintain that it is the duty of the Nigerian state to defend her citizens everywhere, no matter what.
Ok fine ,maybe we got off to a wrong start.I apologize if my comments were not appropriate as per the topic.I do not wish death on anyone and i will never support the killing of even a criminal. You are right ,this not the right place for me to make a case like this so i will withdraw from the topic.May the guy rest in peace and i hope his family will take heart.

@ Owobokiri, thanks so much for your wise advise to that big mouth playmode. The thread was about a Nigerian that was killed illegally and he was running his mouth, telling us how we are, because he lives in S.A. We deplore the killing of any Nigerian in any guise, and those involved in that act must be made to face the consequences of their action.
Na your papa be loudmouth! Dude when intelligent folks are debating ,don’t engage them otherwise they will make you look stupid. Did you read any of my comments at all. Where did I support the killing of Nigerians? You are obviously living in your own bubble. Ok you say you deplore the killing of Nigerian in SA under any guise neither do i.What do you think the South Africans deplore?

The South Africans deplore the notorious Nigerians who have over run their country and turned them into helpless folks. Don’t run your mouth if you don’t in SA ,just sound like d, u, m.b. Did you watch the movie “District 9” ,that what the South Africans think of us. We have terrorizing SA since 1996 and we have not stopped ,instead we have improved our criminal skills and have become more sophisticated.

You are talking about SA police killing Nigerians , what about the Nigerians kidnapping and killing other Nigerians in SA? There are wealthy Nigerian businessmen here who have kidnapped by Nigerians thugs , some have been killed because their wives failed to come up with the ransom. Nigerian criminals target rich Nigerians here because they feel the police won’t investigate the matter since the victim is a Nigerian. There are Nigerians who kill each other here over a drug deal gone bad. There are Nigerians who kill each other here over women. I have personally witnessed a fight between two Nigerian in an area called yeoville. These two guys parked their luxury vehicles ,got NAKED and started fighting in middle of the street.

When I asked another Nigerian bystander why they were fighting ,he simply told me : “Dem dey fight over maga money”

Can you imagine two grown up men (who by looks of it are well to do) strip naked and start fighting on a busy road in the heart of Johannesburg. That was the day I realized that there are some Nigerian who are pure animals. If you were here you won’t be talking s, h, i, t. The honest and well behaved Nigerians living in SA are tired of these thugs who have given us a BAD NAME but there is nothing we can do.

The Police Minister of South Africa last years ordered the police to shoot criminals. The SA Government is tired of crime. They have enough crimes to deal with and now Nigerians criminals are compounding the problem. This is not the first time police have killed alleged drug dealers. This is only in the news because the guy lived Okah’s wife’s house. If it was different house , it won’t be in the news. If you stay away from those areas ,there is no way the police can get an excuse to kill you. Nigerian criminals are killed every where in the world , USA ,UK ,INDIA ,CHINA,DENMARK ,the list is endless. I used to feel pity for these Nigerian criminals but when they kidnapped a friend of mine ,i realized how dangerous and heartless Nigerian criminals are especially this ex-bakassi boys in SA. They are ruthless, wicked and simply put disgusting.

I repeat ,i regret the death of this individual but we do not know the full story of what happened. The story may even be cooked as I know Sahara reporters are not a 100% reliable source.

If youtube videos are going to be used to judge a nation, then Americans will be targets all over the world. Go watch youtube videos of how they were killing innocent Iraqis on the street. Jews are still respected in spite of what is happening in Palestine. Cut the crap buddy. The duty of the state is to defend her citizens first. It is very important. Defend your people then ask questions later. If Nigerians must be killed in foreign lands, let it be after a court judgments and not by a racist sadistic police force with a reputation for unparalleled disdain for black life. The stu-pidity of the Nigerian governments makes me want scream. I dont know why this country cant get anything right.
So according to your logic ,we should also defend criminals and ask questions later? grin

So if our citizen were to say kill the president of Ghana , we should defend him? undecided

Great ,so where you when that Hausa boy tried to bomb the american plane ? Did you stand up for him too? grin

Did you go and support James Ibori in london? grin

Did you stand up for Henry Okah too? grin

I think it is you who needs to have your brain examined. undecided

If you are a decent citizen ,you will not stand up for criminals regardless of if they are friends or relatives. wink

My friend shut up! And this is coming from a Nigerian with a title name who walks with an arrogant swagger while answering the cell phone with his elbows sideways! If you don't have any reasonable thing to say , you should just dry up! What has all this tirade got to do with the death of a young man by suffocating??  So because some Nigerians walk with some swagger and make noise and are arrogant (all according to you), they should all be killed? You want them to always act like slaves once the white man is around just like other Africans do out of their homeland? I am a Nigerian and I know we are not perfect. You may have a point too but I also Know that Americans are busy defending Amanda Knox in an Italian court as we speak even though she was convicted of murder!  For all your noise, this guy maybe innocent. Killed by a racist police and all you do is to come to this thread and write all type of thrash about the behavior of Nigerians. When has capital punishment become the penalty for noise making?? There are so many threads that deal on the behavior of average Nigerian abroad,, you can go ply your trade there but here we are talking about a killed country man and the need to FORCE our government to defend Nigerians.

And I think some of you are ignorant. Many times I have heard some of you complain about Nigerians living in South Africa or Asia. Most of these Nigerians are productive and are positively part and parcel of the local community. Americans are richer but you can find them working in Cambodia, teaching in China and even stealing diamonds in the Congo. This dismissive attitude of always saying "na by force to travel" is sickening and I feel some of you whose parents have been looting Nigeria since the 60s don't know what others go through. People end up in different places for different reasons and it is the duty of the Nigerian government to protect Nigerians. South Africa has become a big burial ground for Nigerians. I think it's about time we start targeting MTN and DSTV. Enough is enough! South African police can't be killing Nigerians so carelessly and be getting away with it even if the Nigerians have committed crimes. Arrest, prosecute and jail if the guy is guilty. Simple.  But to walk into a Nigerian home with dogs and start acting out "apartheid part 2" is unacceptable. If we can't stare down the Americans , we can handle the South Africans and we must hit them where it hurts most; and that is the companies they use to loot Nigerians back home! Enough already!
Dude there are better ways to start a comment instead of using the typical  "My friend shut up". You are one of those "village" boys hey? You see the way he is so defensive. Dude seriously you have issues ,you need to see a "vet" because only a "vet" can attend to you. What are you ranting about from white people to slaves to amanda knox. You should really go back to school and learn how to table an argument properly.

Do you have autism or did you not see where i expressed regret about the incident. Stop talking out of your a.s, s. You remind me of those people who go to other people's funerals and cry more than the deceased's relative just to get a plate of free rice.

You are just in denial, watch that video and see what Nigerians get up to here.Tell me if you were a South African and one of those girls was your daughter or sister ,how would you feel about Nigerians?

I never said Nigerians should be killed dummy, I simply tabled the situation and circumstances around which that guy was killed. You are not here in SA to see what is going on.We here see what is going on and what our brothers are doing. The new trend here now is house robberies and kidnapping, just a week ago Nigerians robbed and killed an Indian couple in port Elizabeth here in South Africa. We are notorious in SA and even I can confidently say that only about 10% of the Nigerians here are good people.

Majority of the boys who deals in drugs here are former bakassi boys from Anambra, The Yoruba’s on ther hand are credit card fraudsters. Every week over 10 Nigerians are arrested here for one crime or the other.

We are choking South Africans in their own country ,we scam them out of their life saving, turn their kids to junkies, kidnap their relatives for ransom, rob & kill them and you expect them to love us?

Don’t fool yourself ,I  see it and everybody else sees it so it is difficult to speak out as one when some of our brothers bring this image upon us. I just got back from turffontein now and it is business as usual , the boys are still in the street corners ,still peddling drugs in broad day light so don’t talk s, h, i, t here about what you don’t know.

What are those Nigerians doing in SA; let them come back to their own country.
We are making a decent living here bro

24hrs electricity (prepaid also available)
24hrs  water (3rd cleanest in the world)
Good roads
Great place to do business
Uncapped Internet (no bandwith or download limit)
Easy banking (cellphone,internet e.t.c)
Cheap goods (electronics,cars e.t.c)
Cheap property(for buyers only ,rent is super expensive)
Top grade infrastructure
Friendly people (except to Nigerians and zimbaweans)
Numerous business and investment opportunities

One thing Nigerians has that Sa does not have is Good Food. The food here is crap, that is why I always buy food from Nigerian restaurants.

Not every Nigerian who comes to SA have a bad experience ,99% f the Nigerians who get treated badly are criminals themselves. I know people who have been here for 8 years and more like myself who have never been in trouble with the law ever been beaten by the police. If you leave a decent life and keep a low profile you will enjoy South Africa.

You see HILLBROW and TURFFORNTEIN are well known Nigerian Drug Trade Zones in SA. If you are decent , honest Nigerian ,you have no business residing in those area. There nicer area which are not expensive which you can live and live your life to the fullest. Just take a look at this youtube video below and you will have an idea of what our brothers are doing here that has made almost every South African hate us.

seems like its in every nigerian's blood *especially screaming over their cell phones*. . .In all the countries I have been 2,its exactly what I notice.U c them screaming ontop of their voice even at night like they own d world and I am like WTH  grin grin
U are right about that.  cry what a painful way to go!

It is the norm here ,almost every South African complain about our phone manners. What baffles is why some of us hold our cellphones with our elbows pointing sidways instead of downwards.I guess it is a new way of showing off that they are "BIG MEN"  undecided .You can't mistake that loud baritone "GUY HOW FAR NOW,WETIN DEY HAPPEN?" anywhere in SA even from a 100 meters away grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

One South African once asked in his own word "bro ,why do Nigerians like fighting a lot?" ,I was like "excuse me?" .He said " I have noticed every time I see Nigerians talking either to someone or on their cell phone they are always fighting because they shout at the top of their lungs and you can the expression on their face that it is intense".

Needless to say i burst out in laughter and explained to him that that is how most Nigerians talk.  grin grin grin grin grin grin .The dude didn’t believe me, he said people don't talk like that unless they are fighting. grin grin grin grin

The SA police can easily spot a Nigerian because of they way most of them dress here.Their signature dress code is :

Shirt with the two top buttons open to expose their hairy chest.
Un-bottoned blazer or Suit
Jeans or Trousers
Pointed Italian shoes (nicknamed by South Africans as Nigerian shoes)
At least 2 gold chain and 2 gold rings
Big Gold or Silver watch
2 to 3 cellphone in their hands
Dark Sunglasses even at night
Toothpick in their mouths even when they had their last meal 10 hours ago]
Sometimes a walking stick with a red hat and feather

and to top it off ,they walk like something is stuck up their backside ,with their chest out and their arms spread apart like they are about to fly  grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

You see them hailing each other like : "Chairman sir", "Igwe" , "Chief chief" , "Honorable chair", "Odenigbo 1 of ojuoma local government" ," maga must pay","ezego" and all sorts or annoyingly ridiculous fake titles and nicknames which they have bestowed on themselves because they have some small change in their pockets.

What i can clearly see is that most of these guy are from the "village" with little or no education and absolutely no IQ (except for 419 and drugs) grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

While it is sad for any human being to lose their  life in this manner.  cry  We have to take a careful look at the circumstances. I happen to visit the turffontein area on a regular bases because there is a Nigerian restaurant there where I normally get my weekly dose of egusi ,ogbono, oha, bitter leaf soup and jollof rice. Turffontein has been turned in to a drug dealing cesspool by Nigerians. You see them on almost every street corner peddling their trade in broad day light. The have ruined many peoples lives with their trade, school children in that area especially Forest Hill High and Turffontein High no longer attend classes. I see them buying drug from these Nigerians and some of the Nigerians even sleep with these underage girls from the highs schools and offer them drugs as payment. I was not “told” about this , this is what I see every time I go there.   angry  It make me feel bad and I do not blame South Africans when they show their hatred towards us. There are many other African immigrants there but you don’t see them getting arrested by the police because they stay away from crime. It is only my Nigerian brothers that you will see committing crime in broad day and walking with their shoulders in the air and their signature pointed Italian shoes, screaming at the top of their lungs on their cellphone like they own the world. You can spot a drug dealing Nigerian a mile away just from his attitude and posture.  embarassed  Nigerians more or less brought the bad name they have in SA upon themselves.

That being said I have not ruled out the possibility of this being a Nigerian Government ordered hit. Knowing how demonic our politicians are , it is quite possible that this guy was targeted because of his affiliations with okah.

But come to think of , knowing how wealthy Okah is ,I doubt anyone working for him will be residing in an area like turffontein which is a crime hotspot. He is a smart guy ,I don’t think he would want his men to be in an area that attracts the police. Then again I could be wrong.

My question is why did he run if he was not guilty?

As for the Nigerian Embassy ,I wonder why you guys are complaining.  undecided  Some of you here are vouching for Jonathan and the PDP to continue to enslave Nigerians but here you are complaining about Nigerian embassy. Please stop complaining, you get and deserve what you vote for, plain and simple.  angry  kapish!

Zimbabwe, a hunger ridden country with a dictatorial babbon as her leader is now being compared to Nigeria, where an average person could afford a three square meal and some decent life.

Sorry but the person above you is on point. The saving grace of these southern African countries are the whites as you blacks over there are extremely lazy and lackluster in nature. Crawl back into your hole when a real discussion about my country is going on, your opinion is not needed rather offer it to the goons ruling over your own country to achieve a better life.

At least we are now beginning to see what these southern african countries would be like in the future now that the whites are no more ready to help them.

Say and believe whatever crap you like about Naija but it is one of the few countries in the world that grows year after year since the arrival of democracy in 1998. Let's compare growth indices between Nigeria and all those irrelevant countries listed above with so called modern cities. Lmao @ Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia being compared to Nigeria now.

How low can one get.  You know the saying " their is no place like home"  is absolute correct

How long are we going to keep running to other countries cause of hardship

Enough is Enough
Bros abeg no bomb yourself o ! There are other ways we can achieve freedom. We need people like you to revolt against the corrupt political cabals but we need to do it in a manner that we will not be seen by the world as terrorists otherwise our purpose will be defeated

PapaBrowne:
Interesting thing is that the poster Playmode and his supporter, blacksta are doing thier thing outside the country but they want Nigerians back home to sacrifice their lives.

Mr Poster, you can begin by coming home first and start making plans for the revolution. It is easy to talk when you are outside the country. Come home and start first before you can have moral justification to ask for a revolution!!

On the prices of real estate you mentioned, what you have there is a cool business opportunity. Why not start by coming home to Nigeria and building cool homes like the ones in your picture and sell at the 60 Million its sold in Johannesburg. At least you would definitely have loads of clints given the prices properties with less value are sold in Lagos.

My point: Stop talking from outside! Come home and fix your country!!!
Papabrowne i agree with you but you must understand that it is not an easy task for me to just pack up and return home. While i have achieved success ,i won't be silly enough to close down my business in SA only to return to an uncertain future in Nigeria. Like i said earlier i am working on it. I am currently trying to raise awareness in SA but is extremely difficult because most of Nigerians here don't care about what is happening in Niegria. Many them are now South African citizens. When i try to start a political conversation with them, I sometimes get a response like this :

“Bros abeg abeg, make I hear word, I dey look for wetin I go chop ,you dey tell me about politics!”

With this kind of mentality i have be careful before coming home. I dont want to come and find out that i can’t even raise enough support to attract the media. I have some master plans already drawn up and I am executing them one at a time.

As per your advice on the property business,it is a good advice but a difficult one to adhere to. I have some knowledge of the SA property industry so it wont be a problem for me to build such houses in Nigeria ,the problem is Land. Land in Nigeria very expensive even more expensive than some houses. I have an investment plan which i drew up a year ago about developing the coastal area of ondo state to look like dubai ,Newyork or Miami. I am half Ondo ,Half ekiti. I am not supposed to speak about the proposal but i can tell you this ,if the likes of Gov mimiko remains in Government and we get the required number of local and international investors, you will see a new modernized city emerge in the coastal area of ondo state in a matter of 10 years. The city will be managed by a private company instead of a local government.it will the first of it's kind in Nigeria. It will have strict building codes which will be implement by the body corporate of the city.My wish is that that the city be powered by mini nuclear reactors which will be buried almost 50 feet underground and encased in a thick Lead casings to avoid any accident or contamination of the soil.Yeah i know ,those are big dreams but they are not impossible if we put our minds to it.

Great example, Ikennahill. I have a friend who left SA for Barbados a few years ago and the pictures he emailed me were shockingly beautiful. The country is very beautiful. Most of the South American countries with the exception of Haiti are very beautiful. The Cayman islands , Dominican Republic , Panama e.t.c are very beautiful with solid infrastructure. Some of the countries you must visit that will shock you pleasantly are Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia. They are regarded as 3rd world countries but when you go there they look more like western countries especially their cities and holiday resorts.

notcorrupt:
I shudder at the above analysis.

The ones I work with always put on a smiley face as per fake , but generally we get on, most likely because if there start their hatred here, they will most likely be sacked.

So what is it for Nigerians living in ZA ?
For Nigerians living in SA it depends on which side of the fence you are on. Whether you are here illegally or legally , whether you are into a legit business or you are a criminal.

From the very moment i landed in South Africa right from the airport i experienced racism because the immigration officer who let me in  was white. He was shocked to find a 3years business visa in my passport. He asked me point blank how much i paid to get the visa. I put on smile and told i did not buy it. His reply : poo! these Nigerians, they will never stop coming here as if we don’t have enough of them already”

The general perception in SA is that Nigerians are bad news. The whites blames us for turning their kids into junkies(it is true many Nigerians have ruined people lives with drugs). But many whites who have not dealt with Nigerians also hate Nigerians. When you ask them why , they will tell because Nigerians are all criminals. At first i used to get angry but i soon got used to it and focused on the reason why i was there.

If you are a Nigerian and you come to SA to start a business, if you have good business plan you will become rich within 2years.It is very easy to get rich here if you are black because Saffers (south African) are not as "sharp" as Nigerians. Nigerian business men here are very astute and become successful within a short time. We bring our Nigerian Street Sense into SA and start small scale businesses that do not already exist in SA. Our only competition in SA are the Pakistanis and Ethiopians who are also astute businessmen. A large number of the black South African population are poor but close to 20% of the African immigrants living in SA are rich while about 5% are millionaires. This makes the whites jealous as well as some SA blacks who feel that we are taking our advantage of their country to amass wealth for ourselves.

On the other hand there are Nigerians who come here with evil intentions ,419 ,drugs, prostitution syndicates e.t.c Most of these guys get rich within the first 6 months and then they start killing each other. Nigerians kill each other here more than South Africans kill Nigerians. There a few stories you will here of former bakassi boys kidnapping another fellow Nigerian who is rich and asking his wife to raise money to free him. This is one of the reason why I don’t have too many Nigerians friends here and the ones i have don’t know where i reside.419 boys also kidnap Americans and UK citizen who fall for their "come and carry" scam. One thing about the SA media is that they like to sensationalize everything and they love to report Nigerian crime because they get huge ratings when they report Nigerian crime. The propaganda spread by the SA media is what lead to the movie “District 9”.Anyone who has watched that movie will agree with me that the white South Africans who acted in that movie made sure they sent the message across to the world that they hate Nigerians and that Nigerians are barbarians who believe in voodoo and would do anything for money or power (sleeping with an alien ,eating alien flesh).

So like i said it depends on which side of the fence you are on. I don't give a rat's backside about white South Africans , they hate me i dislike them. When i drive around in my car ,you can see the way they look at me wondering where i got the money to buy such a car. White South Africans find it difficult to adjust to their new reality. They used to be privileged under apartheid but now they are getting poor and the blacks are getting rich. This make them want to explode.

The bottom line is that you can make shitloads of money here in a short period of time especially if you have capital and you are BLACK.

Below is an illustration of the SA’s past reality where blacks bow to their white masters and the current reality where blacks are kicking their asses.

PoliticsRe: If Only Nigeria Could Be Like This by playmode(op): 10:15am On Jan 17, 2011
Thank you all for your input. It is not my intention to offend anyone or to belittle Nigeria. I am very passionate about my homeland that is why i am here. I don't have any worry in the world as i live comfortably in SA and get the opportunity to tour southern Africa on business trips. I can choose to ignore the situation in Nigeria but i was not brought up that way. I am a patriotic Nigerian and no matter how beautiful and comfortable SA is , I will always love my country, that is why i am criticizing it. I am actually jealous of SA,I don’t see any reason why Nigeria should not be more developed than SA. Everyday I see how ordinary South Africans  insult Niegria in my presence and call it a ghetto, how do you think that makes me feel. I can hardly defend Nigeria because truth be told ,Nigeria sucks big time especially in 2011 when all this so called 3rd countries have evolved.

I have read a lot of comments here , some of them make sense while some are just blind patriotism. I disagree with some of you who feel that it is because these countries have whites that they are doing well. That is an inferiority complex mentality. Are you saying we black people are so dumb ,we can’t rule ourselves?

We don’t need white people to have a disciplined and developed country. Is there a white person in Fashola’s cabinet ? No! It ia all about true patriotism , honesty ,discipline and the love of the people and the land. Fashola chose to lead the right way,no white person influenced him to do so,it was his personal decision.

How come the UAE is developing it’s skyline at a rapid rate? The sheik makes the decisions and he is ARAB. Nigeria and the UAE get roughly the same income from oil , how come they are light years ahead of us. Nigeria is the way it not because we don’t have white people but because we have moronic baboons as leaders. Jonathief is a scam artist and he won’t have achieved anything by 2015.MARK MY WORDS.I still don’t know why many of you make excuses for him ,he has been in Government for close to 5 years, what has his impact being? Zero ,Zilch! This is the same man whose wife was arrested by the Efcc with briefcases full of dollars at the airport ,what happened to that case? NADA!

We as Nigerians are selfish and corrupt that is why we can accept Jonathief as a messiah when we all know deep down in our hearts that he is a  P I  M P  styled criminal who should be shot at the stake for treason against the federal republic of Nigeria alongside his pals ,babangida and atiku. Very soon you will see babangida at jonathief’s side smiling all the way. We are being dribbled by the PDP hence I have nicknamed “oga jonathan” aka “Lionie Messi”! Time will prove me right, Jonathief is too corrupt to prove me wrong. I expect the worst leadership from him in the next 4 years. More white elephant projects and more embezzlement which is the legacy of the Peoples deceiving party. With a population of 150 million and a military force less than 1 million ,how can we be so scared to take the Government head on. How many people are the soldiers going to shoot. Imagine we start a mass rally in every state and everybody refuses to go to work. We mobilize on the street and block the roads ,all of us together rich and poor ,young and old and we demand that the PDP step down. We also use social media like facebook and twitter to voice our frustration to the world. Jonathief and his cronies will bolt in to exile. We can do it ,we are just to selfish to do it.

Remember Fela’s song : “I no want die ,I get 2 child ,I 4 wives,I get one mother” Na Policeman go slap your face myou no go talk,Army man go whip you yansh you go dey look like donkey”

We have to change our mindset and make the Government ,The Army and The police fear the people of Nigeria.

I know many of you at this point will say why i am not doing it myself. Trust me I have started mobilizing my peers especially those in SA,I am planning on going back and causing a lot of trouble for the government and by trouble I mean mass rallies going to mobilize the university students, I was a student of LASU and I have still some rep there. It takes one person to start.

I have already paid a website designer to build me a blog and a political website where I will make video speeches and motivate the youths to cause sever civil disobedience. I am also planning on starting a movement that will be geared towards youth revolution. This movement will also double as a political party. When the time is right , I will reveal my identity and damn the consequences. On my political website , I will challenge Jonathan to face me in a video debate that other Nigerians can tune in to. I know Jonathief has no idea on how to run a country and I will floor him within a few minutes into the debate. All he know is how to share the loot.Having studied him in his interview with Aisha Sesea of CNN ,I realised that this i.d.i.o.t is extremely clueless about what he has to do to move Nigeria forward. All he is good at doing is making empty promises without having any solid plans or strategy to back them up. A guy as cluless as jonathief cannot even win a legislative seat in the USA talkless of being president.

I left Nigeria to become successful , I have already achieved that ,now I have to move on the next phase in my life which is freeing my people from modern day slavery. I know i might get killed in the process but I hope that by the time I die I would have sparked an unstoppable revolution that will bring about the kind of change currently experienced in Ghana.

I built my business empire from scratch with a mere $1000 because I am a go getter I don’t believe in luck. Luck is for lazy people. I also don’t believe in “GOD will save us” ,I belive in “God only helps those who help themselves”. If we don’t boot out the PDP we are in for another 4 years of slavery.

Another thing I don’t like is when Nigerians try to compare Nigeria to worse off countries like Cameroon. Why are you doing that ? Do you envy Cameroon? It is like someone who has cancer saying that he is better than someone with HIV! You should be comparing Nigeria to SA.SA is an African Gem and generate less daily income than Nigeria but the country is solid like any western country. Do you know that SA beats UK hands down in terms of infrastructure and skyline beauty? Uk has predominantly gothic styled buildings while SA has modern styled buildings. Nigeria has been independent for 50 Zap.i.ng years. We moved from being the GIANT of Africa to being the dwarf of Africa in 2 decades. I was doing an investment opportunities research on Eritrea recently and I was shocked to see how clean and infrastructural sound the country was. Google Eritrea images, you will be shocked. With all the money we make in Nigeria , Nigeria is still flipping dirty and the air smells bad.

I don’t see Nigeria as a 3rd world country because 3rd world countries are Philippines ,South Africa , Vietnam ,Cambodia, Thailand,  Malaysia e.t.c Nigeria on the other and can be referred to as a 4th world country especially when you compare it’s current infrastructure ,education standards, citizens social welfare and medical facilities to those countries.

Do you know that the Nigerian property market is crap? Let me elaborate. I was planning on buying land in lekki and building a home but was discouraged when the agent told me that the land was N15 million. I was like , what d pfuck,N15 mill for a flimsy piece of land .N15 million can buy you a full house in an upmarket suburb in  SA. That is ridiculous! Properties in Lagos, Nigeria are ridiculously overpriced and to make matters worse 90% of these properties are poorly built with substandard materials. If you look at homes in lekki ikoyi and VI, some of them have outer walls that are not straight, the pillars are usually bent slightly and the doors are always fitted in a rough manner not to mention poorly planned drainage systems. This same crappy house will be priced at N100 million .The annoying thing is that they are even selling ugly SEMI detached duplexes in Nigeria for N100 mill which is equal to R5 million rands(south African currency). Why the Zap will I want to buy a SEMI for N100 million when I can buy a full mansion in an exclusive Golf Estate in SA for less than that?

Now let me show you what type of house you will buy in Johannesburg for just N60 Million Naira(R3 Million Rands) including furniture and this is just the asking price.

Just take a look at the pics below:

But seriously , if South Africa is not as violent as Nigeria, how come all the whites are running away.

In fact we have tons of our beloved white African brothers working here in the UK and doing exceptionally well.

By God's mercies, I have been on holiday to Nigeria many times and have never had any issues relating to security such as kidnappings, robberies etc.

I attribute this to God's protection.

GUYS! how can you believe a story like this about 1 in 4 SA men being  rapists. How many tourists were R::A :: P::E:: D  in SA during the world cup? Zero! This is just propaganda by western media. That report was released by a white supremacy group in SA. You are making a big mistake calling Afrikaners your white brothers because you obviously don’t know how much Afrikaners hate black people especially NIGERIANS. Afrikaners also known as boers hate black people in SA and they treat blacks like 'poo" .Ask any other Nigerian who is here they will tell you the same.

Forget the stories they tell you in the UK ,it is all propaganda. I have no reason to defend black South Africans but i have seen how evil the whites are. The KKK in the USA are child's play when compared to South African whites who use their dogs to attack black people.

I will show you some white South African racist websites and youtube videos ,maybe you will understand that the white south Africans in the UK are lying to you.

They call blacks chimps , Kaffirs ,Baboons and monkeys to their faces here. What irks me is that these bastards have the audacity to do all these in broad day light in an African country where they were forgiven for apartheid and allowed to stay and thrive. Recently a white radio DJ insulted a black beauty queen and called her a stinking baboon on twitter. I will post all the proof here for you to see. Dont fall for the propaganda ,whites South Africans are the most racist pigs on earth and they do not deserve to live in Africa because they hate Africans!

Don't be fooled ,i have been here close to 9 years and i can tell you that white South Africans deserve no pity ,the earlier the racist ones are eliminated the better for SA. Jakumo:
South Africa is WAY more dangerous a country than Nigeria, simply because ever person over the age of five over there owns a licenced semi-automatic pistol, but worse still, they are all blind drunk most of the time.

Firepower + whisky = General anarchy and HIGH daily body counts

I have never set foot in South Africa, and probably never will for as long as I live.
Dude i don't know where you get your stories from.So you are saying the South African government issues gun licenses to children above the age of 5?  undecided

South Africa is not Sudan, there are no child soldiers here.

If you have never being to a country don't judge it.You are commenting like some South Africans i know who believe Nigeria is a country consisting of mud hut villages where every leader is an Igwe and witchcraft is practiced openly because of the junk movies nollywood feeds South Africans through African Magic .Propaganda is a dangerous tool,be careful not to be a victim of it.If South Africa was as bad as they say,how come they hosted the world cup without any major incident? Remember that over 3 million foreigners visited the SA for the world cup.

Do you think Jonathief's Nigeria can host the world cup right now without white people being kidnapped by the likes of mend or bombs going off at stadiums? So which is more dangerous? Nigeria is not on those crime lists because Nigeria is a 4th world country that does not even have a properly trained police service. There are many crimes that go undocumented in Nigeria.Let me jug your memory:

Area boys bullying on the street
Murder
R::A:: P::E
Armed robbery (robbers who write letters to residents telling them when they will show up undecided )
Police robbery
Police assassinations
Political Thuggery
cultism in schools
Animal Sex(mallams having sex with animals)
Child Abuse (Muslims marrying 8 year old girls)
Child slavery /labor  (parents selling their kids to go and work for evil businessmen)
Ritual killings
Ethnic violence(Alaba violence)
Religious Violence(Jos violence)
Omo oniles (land scam)
419
Drugs(cocaine)
Expired Drugs and food
smuggling
Human trafficking
Fraud
Kidnappings
Bombings
Looting
Stabbings("broken bottles"wink
Piracy
car theft (owode onirin)
corruption
Pollution of the Niger delta
Military assassination of Niger delta residents

None of these crimes are recorded as crime statistics? Nigeria has no statistics,we are not even sure of our population we are just guessing. There are no ID cards or numbers for each citizen. Australia ,The Uk and the USA were against SA hosting the world cup ,that is why the western media tried to hype up the crime situation in South Africa so that fifa can change the venue but the plan failed. You see how angry they are that Russia and Qatar are hosting it after brazil.Did you see how the racist British press made so much noise about fifa's choices? We do not leave in a free world. The west hates anything that is African , Arab ,Asian or East European. To them we are lesser humans and do not have equal rights as them.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Or South Africa , Which Is More Violent ? I Need To Know Urgently by playmode(m): 11:22pm On Jan 15, 2011
Frosbel, all those Nigerian police officers in those pictures are not wearing bullet proof vests and the way they are carrying their guns show that they are not well trained. The guns should be facing down not up,that is one of the first rules they teach you when you take a firearm course.I am sure police colleges around the world also teach their officers that. This is why there is a lot of accidental discharge in Nigeria by police officers. They look more like rebels than police officers.By the way are those police officers fighting in the last picture? That is something you will never see in SA,shows their lack of discipline.Another mistake is that the government issues police officers with machine guns(AK47) instead of 9mm pistols which is the norm all over the world. The AK 47s should be a back up weapon should they engage heavily armed robbers.A well trained police officer who has passed his shooting courses is able to take down 2  AK47 wielding gun men with a full automatic 9mm barretta. The Nigerian Police college is failing ,most of these men are not well trained ,they just exercise and shoot a couple of cans before they are let loose on to the streets. In South African Police School, officers have to go through several courses like : Police protocol & etiquette,Firearm safety & etiquette,Short Range Shooting & Long Range shooting ,Self defense(hand to hand),Civilian Control(anti riot),Public Patrol ,Personal Intelligence,Personal fitness and a few more.

Well i am on the ground in South Africa and i can tell you that SA's crime rate is over hyped by the western media. The problem with South Africa is that whites hates blacks and some black are killing whites as a way of paying them back for Apartheid. That is not to say that criminals don't attack black.

From my experience and observation the USA is more violent than South Africa. Most of the people who get attacked in South Africa are “late nighters”, people who go to clubs or stay out till 1 a.m in the morning i have been living in SA for close to a decade and i have only been robbed once due to my own carelessly was robbed on narrow pathway on a mountain when it was pouring heavily. I was warned by my close friends that the pathway was a hot spot for robberies especially when it was raining but i ignored their warnings only to be taught a life lesson.

This happened in 2003 and ever since then i have not experienced any criminal activity. South Africa for me is far more secure than Nigeria because the police is well equipped to deal with criminals.

Other type of violent crimes that raise up SA's statistics is homicides usually committed by a family member of deceased. SA is like the USA where citizens are allowed to own guns. Almost everyone i know own 9mm firearm including me. It is just something that you acquire because of the hype surrounding SA crime only to realize you don’t really need it. Luckily for me I have only fired my weapon at the shooting range.

You can live in SA safely forever as long as

1-You don't keep late nights
2-You don't pick up prostitutes and take them to your home
3-You watch the kind of friends you keep
4-You avoid getting involved in illegal businesses like the drug trade or arms trade
5-You don’t defraud anyone (a lot of Nigerians have lost their lives due to this)
6-You avoid getting in fights especially in Night clubs
7-You address everyone in a humble way(Nigerians have been injured due to this)
8-You avoid "showing off" to native South Africans
9-You avoid breaking SA girls hearts(that can get you in a lot of trouble)
10-You avoid dating under aged girls(Some parents will shoot you)
11-You avoid sleeping with a South African's wife(trust me our brothers do this a lot)
12-You don’t get drunk and try to walk home at night.

I can tell you this, most Nigerians who get into trouble here deserve it because they started the trouble themselves. Just last November a Nigerian guy was caught on top of South African man's wife. Guess what ? The man was a cop ,he took out his fire arm and shot the guy on the spot. Luckily his aim was bad and he only hit the guy in the back. What shocked me was that the guy was their neighbour and was aware that the woman was married to a police officer but still had the “liver” to Pfuck the woman in husband’s house and on her husband’s bed.

20% of the Nigerians who get into trouble here do so because of the "dick".There is a general perception here in SA by SA women that Nigerians have big dicks and almost every black SA woman wants to taste a Nigerian dick to see what it feels like.

SA for me is pretty safe and secure because most of the policemen are well trained ,fit and well equipped not to mention that there are a lot private security companies here with seriously armed security officers. Below are some pictures:

@poster, so where were the ''sensible people of Tunisia" when the dictator was ruling for nearly 26 years non-stop? It is people like you we need to avoid. Where is the praise for Nigeria's attempts at real democracy against the formidable odds known to any nation?

Taking the best of other places and using same to bash Nigeria, while ignoring Nigeria's own strides makes you just as bad, if not worse, than those you condemn.

And comparing Nigerian's infrastructure to Zambia and Swaziland makes you really really foolish. Where did you visit in Zambia? Their capital? I could take you to Abuja if you wish.

RUBBISH.
Dummies abound on nairaland. So because he ruled for 26 years he is worse off than Jonathan? What have your Nigerian people ever done to oust to a corrupt leader since we returned to democracy?

You are too ignorant for your own good. You think Abuja is a world class city.LOL,you are such a village boy/giirl whatever you are.Do you know where Lusaka and emzulueni is? I am asking if you have being there and not if you have seen it on the news or google  undecided .Your abuja is poo compared to many Africa cities  grin .

Let me give you simple examples :

Emzuleni (swaziland)
Mbabane (Swaziland)
windhoek(Namibia)
Lusaka (zambia)
Harare (zimbabwe)
Dar es salam (Tanzania)
Nairobi (kenya)
Witbank (South Africa)
Pretoria(South Africa)
Sun city(South Africa)
Johannesburg(South Africa)
Port Elizabeth(South Africa)
Cape Town (South Africa)

When you visit any of the above cities ,your jaws will drop and you will be every ashamed of your so called Abuja.Visit Lusaka ,Mbabane and Emzulueni before you start over-hyping your low class city, Abuja .

Lastly ask yourself why so many "innocent" Nigerian politicians buy multi-million dollar homes in these African countries if Abuja was all that? You should see Obasanjo's $3 million home in Johannesburg.

Fascinating theory this, for sure.    Correct me if I am wrong, but Jonathan Gooluck, who has only been the Nigerian president for 4 years, now gets your blame for the 4 DECADES of decay that preceded his ascension to power ?

While you are at it, why don't we go the whole hog and blame US president Obama for America's involvement in the African slave trade 400 years ago.  That would make about as much sense as your hypothesis assigning "culpability" to Jonathan Goodluck for all that has LONG been wrong with Nigeria, dating back to Nigeria's string of kleptomaniac military tyrannies .
I rightly referred to people like you in my comment as brain-dead monkeys because you neither read nor understood my comment. I leave to you ponder in your realm of self imposed stupidity. It is a waste of time to engage a morally bankrupt individual like you who wants who wants paint Jonathan as a saint. Is Jonathan not the president? Has he not been in Government for the 4years? What has he done to solve the electricity problem except to claim to have an invisible blueprint? Did he not empty the country’s treasury in just 10 months as president?

So as per your logic, because he didn't create the problem ;he has the right to worsen it? Wonders shall never end!

Talking about military tyrannies ,Jonathan's government and party is full of recycled ex-military men and crooked politicians. To make matters worse his GODFATHER is Obasanjo! His party affiliation with babangida ,Atiku, Obasanjo and many other "GOD Damned" corrupt men says what about him and his credibility? Maybe babangida is a saint too who is not to blame for the 1993 election and that is why he is proudly affiliated with the same party as Jonathan who is equally a "saint" as per your observation.PDP the party of "saints"

It think it is you who have had too much palm wine this afternoon, come back here when you are sober enough and your brain cells are ticking.

The sensible citizens of Tunisia have forced out their corrupt president. The dude tried to use the army and the police to suppress the people but the intelligent people of Tunisia revolted because they are selfless enough to care about their children's future. Not to to mention that Tunisia's population is just about 11 million as compared to Nigeria's 150.Needless to say after so much pressure from the citizens, he bolted to Saudi Arabia.

That much i cannot say about my corruption infested homeland NIGERIA where people will sell their mothers for a loaf of bread. Nigeria is constantly being taken to the cleaners by the political cabal and unfortunately the citizens of Nigeria are too corrupt to give a damn.

Just looking a the PDP primaries on CNN exposed to the world the huge number of over bloated and power intoxicated baboons we have in the ruling party.99% of the so called delegates looked like farm labourers who have no business in politics. These men have IQs that can only rival that of an earthworm’s .Atiku talking like he was about to cry just made me shake my head in shame, a presidential candidate who was reading a speech in his hand on election day. Jonathans weak “I will never let you down” out burst was so typical of a misguided fool whose only intentions is too chop make I chop.

Finally who can forget the large number of braindead monkeys on NL ,within Nigeria and outside Nigeria who are voting for the PDP to continue to terrorize Nigerians. It is as if slaves are voting to remain enslaved. All common sense in Nigeria has gone to the gutter and I am beginning to think that maybe a split will be the best option for all Nigerians. At least in the SW with the likes of Fashola, their is1 % hope. Not that I am fan of Fashole because in a civilized country , Fashola’s performance so far would have received a very low score. There is notrhing special about what he has done so far except that he did in Niegria. Tinubu is his GODfather and that speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. All Nigerian politicians whether PDP , CPC or whatever stink to high heavens of corruptions. All of them are corrupt no exceptions and no Mr nice guys.

Having travelled to more than 9 countries in the past 10 years , it aches me to see how structurally developed some countries are especially in Africa. Countries like Kenya ,Zambia ,Tanzania, Namibia ,Botswana, Swaziland  , South Africa beat Nigeria hands down in terms of infrastructure ,disciple and basic amenities and to think that none of this countries have oil. Shame on you Jonathan , you are disgrace not only to Nigerians but to yourself and your family. We are watching your every move and if you do not change your ways  nemesis will catch up to you and your cohorts.

Really? Atiku was asked to present a speech and he started talking about chaos and those rubbish u are spewing. That is not God's plan for nigeria thru GEJ. Ok?
You must have mistaken me for one of Atiku supporters. You still don't get it do you? Maybe you haven't read any of my comments on NL before but i do not support any of these clowns who parade themselves as leaders but cannot engage a high school kid in political debate.

The only way for Nigeria to move forward is for a group of young and enlightened Nigerians to take over power by force , arrest all these clowns ,try them by a jury of their peers and have them executed by firing sqad for treason. You guys think buhari or Gowon were strict,if i were to be president Idi amin will look like child’s play when compared to me.

So PFuck you ,Pfuck GEJ ,PFuck Atiku and Pfuck every other member and supporter of the PDP. May you all rot in hell for the shame you have brought to this country. Don't worry Judgement day is near, you will all see what is going  to happen in Nigeria and all you greedy modapfuckers will wish you never supported evil.

We lack disciple in Nigeria, have very low self esteem ,low IQ and poor education standards ,that is why people like you and beaf can openly and shamelessly support a clearly corrupt party that is headed by an equally corrupt president.

Like I said on another thread, Nigeria in it’s current state is a dustbin full of trash.A couple of my South African friends visited Nigeria in December and all they brought back was bad tales of my country. From what they told me Nigeria is worse than when i left. How do you think that makes me feel. I was planning on returning home this year finally having sojourned abroad for the past 10 years but now I am having second thoughts. Maybe I should forget about Nigeria and invest my money elsewhere because all it gives me is heartache. Nigeria had not changed because Nigerians do not want to change their corrupt ways and move the country forward. Many Nigerians are trying to get out of the country because of the terrible state of affairs. How does that make you FEEL?

Jonathief is not the messiah. Come 2015 Nigeria will be worse off than now, mark my words. You know it ,I know and everyone knows it. What I can not fathom is why we all allow it to continue when we as citizens can defy the Government collectively like they do in other civilized countries and force corrupt leaders to step down.

P.S you know what South Africans call Nigeria? “ShitHole”

So keep celebrating a failed state and failed leaders, shows your level of intelligence. Maybe you have not heard but Child mortality rate in Nigeria is Africa’s highest. A country that generates more than $50 million dollars daily for crude oil does not have functioning hospitals to cater for the people

PropertiesA Word Of Advise To Nigerian Estate Agents by playmode(op): 9:06pm On Jan 13, 2011
I have been holding this in for a while but today i said : what d hell, let me spill it out.

I have been studying the way Nigerian estate agents advertise property on the web and i must say your methods are extremely appalling. Many of you advertise properties without having the common sense to accompany your ads with crystal clear photos. How can you be an estate agent when you don't have a visible website in 2011 or you don’t have photos of the property you are selling or renting.

I think all you Nigerian states should start acting like professionals and do what your colleagues do in other civilized countries. With all these money you guys make ,you should all have a visible website and you should all have a personal picture on your website so  that every one can easily identify you. You guys should stop being stingy and invest in a high quality camera which you can use to take pictures of your properties. I hope Nairaland will impose a rule that all sellers should include pictures in their ads, this will help bring integrity to the trade. I am based in South Africa and this is how estate agents run their business here :

www.pamgolding.com

www.seeff.com

www.sapropertyads.com

www.lewgeffen.co.za

www.property24.com

www.iolproperty.co.za

Please dont give us any excuse about website hosting being expensive or cameras being expensive. You can host a small website for $3 a month and you can a good camera for less than N20,000.Please step up your game and stop being cheap wussies like nollywood. It is really irritating for Overseas based Nigerians like me to buy a property because you guys don’t have any pictures to show and you guys are faceless so i don’t know who i am dealing with.

I hope some of you will take my advise because it will help you become more successful in your estate agent career. If you need a website , I can point you in the right direction.

"Sigh" This is one of the reasons why i have stayed away from NL for while. It is always depressing coming to nairaland to read about stories like this and to see the monkeybrained comments made by fellow Nigerians  because it just makes Nigerians look silly. I mean the whole world is wondering if Jonathan is the best Nigeria can offer.

Even though Jonathief may not have approved the banner directly ,he should still take the blame for it.It shows that he lacks leadership skills and does not care about how he wins as long as he wins. A true leader would have paid close attention to what his camp was dishing out to the public. Jonathief does not have a very high IQ so he leaves the hard work to his greedy slaves who run his campaign. If he was a decent and upright leader he would make an effort to view what advertisements his campaign is running and any president in his right mind would not have approved that banner.

As usual A-holes who share the same ideology as that fuxcking c.u.n.t i love to hate "beaf" are busy defending Jonathan. What you morons don't realize is that Nigeria is already a dustbin and soon the trash will be taken out. I have lost all hope for Nigeria; just take a look at us. Here in South Africa, Nigerians are laughed at right from the illness saga of yara dua ,we have been made the laughing stock of the world. A fake giant that is what we are.

While other nations are making leaps and bounds ,we are busy chopping our own legs off all in the name of supporting a crooked southerner, a man whose wife was detained at the airport for being in possession of suitcases loaded with hard currency.

"SIGH" I don't want to have high blood pressure because that is what Nigeria gives me. The only way forward is for these cabals and their followers to be assassinated no questions asked. Enough is enough. We don't have credible candidates right now, all we have are clowns that are less intelligent than a pregnant goat.

Any of you who watched the CNN interview of Jonathan by Aeisha will realize than this man is better off being a farmer than being a president. Nigeria I wish you luck, you are going to need it.

P.S As for you American azss kissers claiming that the USA is important to Nigeria ,I think your green card or social security number has infected your sense of reasoning with acute stupidity. It shows that your mind has not matured enough to realize that the U.S.A is Nigeria’s worst enemy. They hide behind “big smile” diplomacy to screw us in the azss. They indirectly fuxck up our economies and control our oil field and you say they are important to us. I say screw ,fxck and curse the US of A.May that nation crumble like it has been predicted in revelations. The USA is the GrandPuba of terrorists ,the Zionist state and the axis of unimaginable evil. I have no love for the US Government and I will rejoice the day it crumbles in a pile of ashes. BTW I am a Christian so don’t think I am a boko haram of any sort.

What kudos to Bakare?
Bakare sef na thief
What does he do to deserve the kind of lifestyle he presently enjoys?
He is also a thief, a smart one though
He loves the limelight and all his stupi.d anti corruption stand is fake
He knew what he was doing when he rejected the money
Why did he accept it in the first place
He must have thought it over and then decided to return it
I dont buy this crap
How can we be so sure that he would not have accepted it if it was more.

Moreover, GEJ called it 'transport fare'
When does it become a crime for the president to dash people money for visiting him

He only gave them the money out of his own goodwill
No one gives bribes in brown envelops anymore, in this age and time, bribes come in Ghana must go bags
I see nothing wrong with what GEJ did
GEJ as the president is technically a father figure to all law abiding citizens of Nigeria, and as a good father he felt it necessary to reward a son who came all the way from Lagos to advise him on a very important national issue. What is wrong with rewarding such a thoughtful son

Bakare as usual is just making unneccesary noise.
He once predicted OBJ's death
How can we be so sure that he is not making this up again
After all, he has done it before. He is totally capable of doing it again.
So in your boon logic,in a democratic country a supposedly honest president should be "dashing" money to people who visit him.
Oh boy GEJ committed a crime and to make it worse in aso rock.
I just can't stand people like you make excuses for the stupid demons we have in Government.

Mind you i dont support bakare either,as far as i am concerned he is a clown and a FAKE man of GOD.

To be honest this is the first time i have ever heard Jonathan speak. Oh God save Nigeria ,this is the clueless slowpoke who wants to rule our nation for the next 4 years. We are practically doomed. Wow this is the jonathan some dummies have being supporting here on Nairaland. Ok i will say this without any remorse. If you are supporting Jonathan to rule you are a sh!thead and you need to see a shrink! For God sake my housemaid can teach this guy how to speak in an interview. He lacked self confidence and he was stumbling over his own words. He had no plans ,no foresight no vision ,absolutely nothing. He was just reciting lines that he had crammed to his head before his interview. Unfortunately the lines did not match the question. What a retard! He showed no spunk, this dude is CLUELESS. PhD my a*s

Thank you Isha for giving him an a*s whooping for ME, he deserved what he got. He has no business being the president. He can barely speak fluent English but he is a Phd holder in zoology (oluwole PhD). Chai Naija don suffer. This guy should be on a boat somewhere in the naija delta fishing in the swamps. He looks more like a fisherman than a president. What a shame on our country ,i wonder what secret document wikileaks have on him.

It just goes to show that Jonathan and his aso rock managers are pretty stupid. If he was a serious leader ,his press secretary should have reviewed the questions CNN will ask him before hand and he should coached Jonathan better but how can he since all they do is steal steal steal steal. More grease to your elbow isha ,you go girl! Nigerian president got disgraced by a mere journalist, what a shame.

IT spells doom for Nigerians when the only two candidates we are debating about is Jonathan and Atiku. In my books these two are not even fit to run a farm talk less of a village not to mention a country. Is this the level we have sank to? Someone here said beaf is an intelligent guy,i beg to defer. Being able to speak "big grammar" does not make you intelligent. Beaf is asking Atiku why he and his wife is wanted by the FBI, Beaf have you asked your mentor and Demi GOD Jonathan why his wife is still not in jail for the money that was confiscated from her at the Airport a few years ago. This is the case of the kettle calling the pot black.

I am not interested in the 2011 elections because none of the candidates who have made themselves available can match my IQ and none of them can face me in a debate. Beaf and the rest of you who are supporting any one of these two bozos should remember that we are destroying the future of our kids if we vote for any of these clowns. What we should be doing is organizing rallies and asking Nigerians to boycott the elections until a credible candidate with no previous political appointment or baggage has made himself available. I would have made myself available but i am still under 40 and if i am not mistaken under 40s can't be president of Nigeria.

If some of you have noticed i have been a member of nairaland for a while but i have only made 113 posts, that is because i have discovered that about 90% of the people who comment in the political section are morons who do not have the best interest of Nigerians at heart. We are backward as a nation not because of our leaders but mostly because of our people. You and i can make a difference but Nigerians are never honest. They rather dine with the fat cats to pay their bills while their fellow man suffers. Jonathan and Atiku has nothing to offer. If i were to face them in an open debate i will EASILY and i mean EASILY tear them to shreds. None of them can formulate intelligent policies to move Nigeria forward. They are concerned about how many secret oil rigs they can own and how much they can make from bogus contracts.

My other prayer is for what happened in Ghana to happen in Nigeria. Imagine waking up one morning and these idiots are dead. What a relief real honest Nigerians will feel.

Based on the above,i think he stopped after he hit them.An argument ensued and he was shot at point black range. In panic the officers pushed his car into the ditch and lit it on fire.If our police officers were well trained like US cops ,they would have got away with the murder. They forgot to put a bullet in the car and they shot him in the head which raises a lot of alarm bells that the story does not add up.They were probably drunk and demanded him to settle them for the damage which he probably refused to do so they shot him. Most of these men who wear the Nigerian police uniform should be working on farms and not carry AK 47s.I have always wondered why our police carry such heavy & dangerous weapons when in other countries policemen's primary weapon is a sidearm e.g a Glock or a Baretta
PoliticsNDLEA is a disgrace! by playmode(op): 8:49am On Nov 24, 2010
I had the displeasure of watching the so called NDLEA drug interception at the seaport yesterday on CNN and i was very shocked to see the way the NDLEA officials were conducting themselves. First off non of these men were wearing any uniforms or jackets of some sorts to indicate that they worked for the agency, secondly they did not have ID tags .Thirdly they were allowing a news crew to film their activities while they were still opening the containers and have not yet ascertained how much drugs were in the containers. Lastly and most annoying of all , Christian Purefoy the CNN reporter was allowed to walk around the evidence and even touch the evidence. In any civilised country with a civilized anti drug agency , they would have condoned the area off with a “do not go beyond this line” tape like you find at crimes scene. The news crew will not be able to get close talk less of touching the canisters of drugs. These Nigerian fools who call themselves agents don’t know anything about protocol, the journalist could have contaminated the evidence or even removed a valuable piece of item from the "crime" scene.

I pose this question to all of you. Do you think an NTA reporter can go to the USA and touch "drug" evidence being displayed by the DEA? Just goes to show our country is a regressive nation. All those men working there yesterday would have been fired on the spot if it was South Africa. Nigeria - I weep for my country. Shall we always fail in everything we do? Our police, immigration and other law enforcement agencies are a shame to behold. No proper training, no protocol and so sense of discipline. All they know is to eat egusi and ogbono soup and grow fat like a pig. Did you see how bloated the spokesperson of the NDLEA was? What a shame! I don’t blame then, when we have a d!ckhead as a president, what should one expect. Nigeria, Good people, Dumb leaders!

I feel the NDLEA should be scrapped and a new agency initiated in it's place. They should get retired DEA officers to come and train these men if they are serious about combating the narcotics trade in Nigeria. There are many jobless intelligent graduates in Nigeria who will do well in such an agency but the idiots in power will rather hire their semi educated relatives! Besides they wouldn't have known about the shipment if not for the tip they got from the C.I.A.What a bunch of crocks!
