PoliticsRe: Madalla Bombing: CP Zakari Biu Suspended Over Escape Of Alleged Mastermind by PointB: 5:25pm On Jan 18, 2012
'Youths in the town spotted him and attacked the police team. Sokoto was freed by the youths.'

What does the above mean? Does it imply grassroots support for Boko Haram? Or are the youth of the town in habit of freeing suspects in police custody?

something is very wrong here. It's a very bad message that the youths of the town support the killing of southerners and bombing of churches. In orders words they aid and abet terrorists!
PoliticsRe: Do You Think Pdp Will Win Presidential Come 2015? by PointB: 5:04pm On Jan 18, 2012
SE will most likely vote a presidential candidate of SE origin. The majority of SS might also go along this route for obvious reason.

There are quite a number of credible candidates from the SE who with coalition with ACN can actualise the demise of PDP and unite the South. Rochas Okorocha of APGA readily comes to mind here. A suitable VP from SW or NC is all that is needed to sweep the carpet from the feet of the PDP.

We have seen ACN coalition with ANPP and CPC producing no result. APGA and ACN coalition might just be the missing link. Time to put primordial sentiments aside and unite the South for greater good of the nation. Or back to the trenches of unfruititful suspicions!

@Kuramo,
that is a winning combo! It will not only get the opposition the presidency, it will destroy PDP and unified the whole south and the middlebelt.

But can it happen? Especially with Nigerian unfounded fear of the Igboman. Or should we continue to vote PDP 'candidates'?

Negro_Ntns:
To all Yorubas,

A marathon meeting concluded few hours ago, hosted by OPC, and with attendance from one other Yoruba group and one Northern group.  It will be followed by another one on Friday. The call is a reasurrance of your safety in the North.  While the two parts intend a separate and independent existence, the meeting was a follow up to a previous one held on the tail of OPC's warning to bokoharam.  You are reassured that you are no more a victim of boko terror than the Hausa is, for every Yoruba accidentaly killed there are two or three Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri similarly fallen. The two sides take reference from their similar historical ancestry in the West African belt to highlight the need for cooperation going forward.  The treaty of the joint step calls for periodic consultation, hosted alternately amongst the two races. The attendees remarked on the President's dispatch of military on the streets in West and North but had no conclusion to share.  It would likely be a major theme in the Friday followup.
It might be fair enough for Yorubas to be occasionally accidentally slaughtered in their own country by rampaging hausa/fulani bloodhounds, I wouldn't want my folks to be accidentally killed by any group. We are not going down as collateral damage!

PoliticsRe: Asari Dokubo Leads Port Harcourt Protest: Wants Sovereign National Conference by PointB: 8:34pm On Jan 17, 2012
A very strange country!

Over 40 years ago. The good people of Niger Delta were deceived to believe that the Igbos they have lived with for many centuries were their enemies. They sold them a lie that Igbos were out the steal their oil and lands. They promised them heaven and earth to sabotage and betray the Biafra dream.

Today, many years later. The oil have been used to develop lands far beyond the creeks; beyond the reach of the Niger Deltans. The lands that Igbos were supposed to steal have been degraded and destroyed with the same stolen oil; the waters of the creek dwellers is brackish with dead animals. The land and waters of Niger Delta has became an ecological disaster.

It will be a travesty of justice, indeed an abomination if Niger Deltans do not have cities comparable to Abuja, by the time the oil dries up in the next 30 years or so.

Taking back the resources, from mismanagement by 'owners of Nigeria'  is long overdue. Niger Deltans  and other mineral producing communities/states  must take their destiny in their hands and damn the consequence. Time to act is now!

Occupy your resources, Nigerians!

PoliticsRe: Fashola For President Of Nigeria by PointB: 3:16am On Jan 17, 2012
Big B1:
Fashola happens to be one of my fav leaders today in Nigeria.
But for some reasons I do not believe that at this time he has what it takes to lead Nigeria effectively and efficiently.
Leading Nigeria is a completely different animal/ball game. We are not talking about just Lagos, we are talking about the entire Nigeria.

Fashola still can't even handle Tinubu, how do you think this dude will be able to handle the northerners effectively?
Nigeria needs a very strong leader, who has the capabilities and charisma to be respected by everybody and reach out to the entire country broadly.
I'm very sure that respect for Fashola will not pass Ogun state.

I also think Fashola as a president will struggle when it comes to making certain decisions. Lekki toll amongst many other decisions is a very good example of weak decision by Fashola.
Lagos state remains the easiest state to manage in Nigeria, therefore it will be foolish to grade him based on his performance on managing the richest and easiest state in Nigeria.
I need Fashola to be the governor of Oyo state or Kogi state for just a year. I guarantee you guys that you will witness his weakness in less than 4 months.
apt wink

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Youths Call Sng , Acn , Bakare , Falana Hypocrites by PointB: 9:27pm On Jan 16, 2012
“The deceivers are those we saw on the podium, addressing protesters
in Lagos yesterday and today, pretending to be friends of the masses.
Those who lost elections and are in search of political leverage in
preparation for 2015 elections cannot be through friends of the masses
on this issue of fuel subsidy.
“People like Falana, Bakare, Odumakin, Sagay, Bola Tinubu, KWAM1 etc,
who kept criminal silent when Lagosians were protesting against the
Lekki Toll Gate, 700 percent increment of Lagos State University
(LASU) fees, daylight rigging of Lagos Local Government elections etc
do not have any moral rights to be leading protest against removal of
oil subsidy.
“In actual fact, these people should be among the people Nigerians
should be protesting against because they are bunch hypocrites,” the
group said.
Need we say more?

Thank you Abians for taking the lead.

I thought GEJ is a retardeen? He could he plan and organise such sh!t as described above. And those who keep railing at SE about 2015, I will advise you to keep your insanity in check. There is 3 more years before 2015.

The real issue is Boko Haram and whether Nigeria will survive the next three years is questionable. Keep your Igbo hate in check. No one region can determine the fate of the nation. Even two cannot!
PoliticsRe: Stop Boko B4 D Tear Nigeria Apart by PointB: 12:52pm On Jan 16, 2012
I personally would like the people of Jos and Benue to become part of the south in a divided Nigeria.

but they need to start sensitizing their elected representatives and leaders on this potential.

Jmaine is not one of them. He understand the time we are in.

the most worrying dimension of the cheap oil is the Nigeria will soon run out of oil without any meaningful development of the Niger Delta. Yet some goons want it for free!
PoliticsRe: What To Do About Goodluck Jonathan by PointB: 12:08pm On Jan 16, 2012
Hmm, people will not learn. They keep imagining vain wishes.

@Topic/Op
the only way to remove GEJ is to wait until his tenure is over and then work and pray he does not offer himself for reelection. If he does, over 25 million of his supporters are ready to cast their votes for him again.

Remove GEJ my foot. Nonsense talk!

There is nothing wrong with the lagos carnival or protest. But there is everything wrong with blocking the roads and forcing other none interested people to join them. To this end, deployment of soldiers to ensure sanity and return of peace is in order.
