PoliticsRe: Another Four Gunned Down At Ibafo - Lagos/ibadan Express-way, Ogun State by PointB: 9:24pm On Jan 10, 2012
What rights do the protesters have to block inter-state highways; and to what extent do the have the right to prevent movement especially of those who don't share in their protest? Now more lives are needlessly lost on this unproductive protest.

my the soul of the deceased rest in peace. But the protesters have a joint culpability in these deaths alongside these trigger happy police men.

it is time to call off these strike and protest to avoid further bloodshed!

PoliticsRe: Strike: Count Us Out –south-east Traders by PointB: 8:10pm On Jan 10, 2012
Since the ulterior motive of their protest is to bring down GEJ govt it is incredibly idiotic to expect SE and core SS to back it. We ain't stu.pid and can clearly see through the disguise. Sore loser!

PoliticsRe: Why Is The Protest So Intense In The West And North? Why Are They Bitter? by PointB: 4:53pm On Jan 10, 2012
It is idiotic to make this protest and comment about future presidency! It is even most unfortunate that such idiocy is coming from those who won presidency for Buhari on Nairaland. At any rate, I need not remind any fool the presidency is not won on lost on NL, future dynamics such as candidate, campaign, funds, etc has a lot of role to play.

bunch of myopic and glorified ethnic champions and purveyor of vindictiveness.

btw lets even pray that Nigeria make is past 2015. Fvcking mofos!

PoliticsRe: NLC Strike Over Fuel Subsidy Removal: What's Happening In Your Area? by PointB: 11:29am On Jan 10, 2012
In my hood, we are still trying to recall when we voted for NLC/TUC as our leaders and representatives. This is causing a lot debate among my folks. Hence we have decided to set up a committee to decide on the matter. One of the mandates of committee is to determine the probability and implication of granting and ad hoc power to the NLC and TUC goons. The committee have 14 working days to conclude their deliberation and submit their recommendation. Until then it is business as usual.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Liberation Council Gives Muslims & Northerners 7 Day Ultimatum To Leave by PointB: 11:15am On Jan 10, 2012
Interesting.
in any case those eyeing Igbo properties and businesses covetously should be reminded that those properties were built with 20 pounds and as such poverty and wealth is a matter of mentality! We can walk away from them when the die is cast!

PoliticsRe: Strike: Count Us Out –south-east Traders by PointB: 9:02pm On Jan 09, 2012

Don't trying running faster than you shadows. An average Igbo does not depend on subsidy; handouts is not particularly favoured by igbos. That explains why my SEners have adjusted to the new price regime.

another thing you know but would rather not say is that Tinubu your lord and master is one of the major beneficiary of the subsidy money, why should we lose sleep over another man's business? Fuel subsidy is not our fight. Get it now?

Jonathan has no power to give the presidency to anyone in 2015. He has one vote. Stop your myopia already!
PoliticsRe: Strike: Count Us Out –south-east Traders by PointB: 8:22pm On Jan 09, 2012
It's a win-win situation for SE. At the end of the day PMS price will be uniform across state, why waste scarce resources and precious man hour fighting what everyone hail as a good policy. SE has shown more maturity and sagacity than they are getting credit for.

At any rate, when it is time to singularly protest against Boko Haram, count us in, but not for this silly protest for cheap fuel.
PoliticsRe: Ebonyi Gov Stance by PointB: 7:45pm On Jan 09, 2012
He represents the interest of the ebonyi electorates who put him there and who will determine his fate in the next election. He certainly cannot represent the oil majors and NLC.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Gov. Chime Bans All Forms Of Public Gathering Till Further Notice? by PointB: 6:33pm On Jan 09, 2012
Governor Chime has acted in the best interest of those who elected him; and in the interest of peace and security. Kudos to such a visionary!

the peace loving people of enugu certainly understand the reason for the governor's directive! Nuff said!

PoliticsRe: With The Current Killing And Protest, Why Is The Government Silent by PointB: 5:54pm On Jan 09, 2012
One of the reasons I refused to endorse the fuel subsidy protest is because I believe we should rather be protesting against boko haram rather than the current useless protest for cheap fuel. My stance has not changed.

but that said, the fuel subsidy protest platform is not the right place to protest against Boko Haram. This is because the subsidy protest is a joke, while the protest against Boko haram is a very big and important issue. That is my take. Clear now?
PoliticsRe: With The Current Killing And Protest, Why Is The Government Silent by PointB: 5:49pm On Jan 09, 2012
Chyz* when did I turn beaf? Me and you are cool and we are on the same side in any case. Peace!
PoliticsRe: With The Current Killing And Protest, Why Is The Government Silent by PointB: 5:41pm On Jan 09, 2012
Sure we can protest against Boko haram killing together as a nation, but such a sensitive security matter should never by drown in a pool of myopic protest like this current fuel subsidy removal.
PoliticsRe: I Didn't Say "The Poor Don't Get It" - Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala by PointB: 5:27pm On Jan 09, 2012
Carry on Ngozi, Nothing do you! You should not be swayed by the amount of insult from people who are bent on keeping Nigeria in captivity.

the same force who tried to prevent her nomination as minister are now bent on destroying her reputation. They can only try but will never succeed.

Carry on Amazon! May your days be long!

PoliticsRe: Protesters Set Vans Ablaze, Sought To Set Fire On Cbn Gov’s Home ! by PointB: 3:47pm On Jan 09, 2012
My understanding is that the shooting of protesters by police is to curtail their arson and terror tactics. so my observation still stands. The protesters are now becoming glorified arsonist and terrorists. Quite sad!

obj is different from GEJ. Not everyone agree that GEJ is as bad as SW media paints him. Beside he won by a landslide in the most free and fair election Niger ever had compare to Obj's blatant rigging. SO please put your Obj hate rant in perspective. Gej is a different kettle of fish!
