^^^ Yes they are! Happy new year too! |
So far no comment? People are selfishily fighting for fuel subsidy not taking their time to think if this incessant attack on Christians will not eventually become a threat on the continual existence of the country. Talking about putting the cart before the horse. my heart bleed for the dead and tears for the wounded. I know very soon accounts will be called. It's only a matter of time before Nigeria implodes. Those crying for free fuel shame on you. This is the real issue - fellow countrymen murdered in cold blood by Islamic fundamentalists! |
^^^^ And where exactly did you get the 95% you are selling? From all evidence so far, the protest is sectional. |
The NLC protest will surely hurt the poor masses more than it will hurt the government. As usual market women, artisans, traders, private business owners will be the first to feel the pinch. Compare to poor masses who can bare stockpile enough food to last 2 days, Government has enough money and food to last them 6 months! NLC protest will only increase the inflationary pressure. It is ill conceived. NLC does not represent the people at this time. It is too early in the year to carry out any sustained strike. |
@Dalover, abeg don't mind them! Grown up men fighting for free fuel when there are other far more cogent reason for protest. lazy layabout protesters! |
@Alh haram what sort of job can you offer to an almajiri? I mean other than directing them to bomb worshippers in churches and pick pockets at protest grounds? What other job can you offer such people? keep blaming government for your woes, as if it is government that brought your miserably self to this world. |

@Omo_tier, perhaps you should check again. You might have been looking at obsolete data. At any rate, apart from those paid to mobilize the crowd, most protest are often filled by jobless poor miscreants. If you happen to be at any of the protest sites, look around you. This should give you a better statistic of where the majority of 'poor masses' are concentrated. At any rate, poor people have the right to protest even if they are unwittly being used and dumped by those who are much better off. Such is life in any case. The rich will always fvck the poor. |
To move the motion for the impeachment of the first executive president from a restive minority region of a failed country like a Nigeria, you need a very stup!d person! All the best! |
Evidently, zones with higher percentage of 'poor masses' are taking the lead in the protest. Carry on pawns! |
They say they are fighting for poor masses. How many poor people can afford to 'stockpile'? Poor people who ordinary have to go out daily to earn their daily bread are being asked to stockpile. Well, I wait with bated breath. |
I am not sure if is is really a good idea for Igbo to go this route. Restrain might be impossible once this is unleashed. Now I truly fear the country! |
The new Igbo nation was built on the 20 pound foundation stone craftily, treacherously and wickedly laid by a certain Awo on behalf of the country - Nigeria. However in setting up Igbo to fail, the most important traits of human nature - adaptability and survival - was underestimated. Igbos successfully utilised those basic instincts to thrive. Today the Igbo man is master of survival and thriving. That's explains why, +while the rest of the country are crying and moaning, the average Igbo in his crib is analysing the situation, thinking, and adjusting his plans and expectations. by the way it's actually fun watching grown up men running around and chanting like child whose toys has been retrieved. At any rate, if they succeed in getting a reversal, of course I will share in the credit afterall I supported them via watching and laughing by the TV and news media. If the fail or fall and subsidy removal stays I will still be happy. I have already adjusted along side my discerning folks. So I can honestly enjoy to laugh in protest! |
Tell the man, tell them oil slaves! |
Tell the man, tell them oil slaves! |
@Topic and part of these bloody rip off is those who are not producing oil dying to have it for free. Funny country and people. Bloody ingrates. |
I have personally spoken to my folks in the SE/SS to avoid being used by any political thug or oil majors in this stu.pid protest. I also personally believe that ignorant people are being misled into this stupi.dity of protest. Oil majors and independent marketers will do whatever necessary to ensure the continuation of the free fund from the comfort of their homes. Let 'us' continue to watch fools humour us and them in the protest. RIP fallen one, but that's one wasted life and no hero in my opinion. |
Who and what exactly is Kunle Adegoke, Maybe he is Dayokanu of Nairaland. Such people should not be given a second thought. |
Most folks in the south east have adapted to the changes in fuel price seamlessly. Now some goons are prophesing doomsday scenarios that will never be. In any case I would enjoy watching on the sideline as the protest entertainment begin - I mean me and my folks. Lets the 'real owners' of Nigeria tear themselves into pieces. By the way I hope Boko Haram not invited to the party? |
@Op I agree with you. fuel subsidy is a big drain on the economy. If we are to avoid going the way of Greece in future, subsidy removal is just about the right thing to do NOW. Tomorrow might be too late. all those doomsday scenarios are as simplistic as they are too far-fetched. Some simple human traits like adaptability, innovation, and invention are not factored in. poor or not we will thrive even in this no subsidy era. Let us allow this policy a chance. |
Igbos have been on the forefront of the secession march for a very long time. We shall continue pushing for it regardless of what Yoruba does. When our objective matches and interest matches we will cooperate. But putting our hope or aspiration in a Yoruba group - a nondescript one at that - might actually look like a desperate move. i don't particularly 'trust' this move even though I support it. |
Before we begin opening our mouths to blame GEJ, let us first stack the bulk of the blame on the inept administrations and government the North and South West had bequeathed Nigeria in the past 40 years or so? Why did those goons of president not deem it necessary to first the refinery or build new ones when that was in vogue? as we speak now building of refineries by govt is no longer best practice. Refineries are better built now and managed by the private sectors. Asking govt to build one in this era is simply anachronistic and won't get the support of economists and strategists. In other words time to ask govt to built refinery is over by over 10 years. fuel subsidy removal is the necessary pill we must swallow for feeding fat on free oil for too long without thoughts for tomorrow. We all need to adjust to the new situation. Resisting will only postpone the doomsday. But anyone who believe govt will build refineris is simply wasting his time. |
Surely they will gather but most surely the will scatter. the fuel subsidy is a big drain on the economy and benefits daily the oil majors. it is only ignorant folks to will stick out their neck for the benefit of the oil cabals who have manipulated the media to instill fears of subsidy removal on undescerning people. Fuel subsidy removal has come people, lets embrace change. it's not as bad as they made it sound. |
Good one GEJ. We will fix the country whether 'they' like it or not. Enough of free oil for our neighbours. Kudos! |
Congratulations Gbawe for emerging the NL poster of the year. And to OnlyTruth for putting up a spirited fight. And also to Kats for his effort. Happy new year in advance. |
Certainly, he was the most important in Nigeria this year and he made the most headlines. |
Certainly, it's in the best interest of the individual people of Niger whose lives are risked or wasted every now and then that Nigeria be divided. the benefit of such wonderful split can not be quantified now. |
Nice development. This should cut down the spate of overseas medical trips by and perhaps also save a president or two from dying in office due to inadequate medical care in the villa. |
^^ lol. Spartacus season 1,l last episodes: KILL THEM ALL! |
