Efewestern:You and the so-called "whole world" are entitled to your delusion. It doesn't count for anything. If it solves ego issues, then good for you. Jerusalem remains the eternal and undivided capital of the Jewish people. Neither you nor the "whole world" can alter it. The earlier you accept reality, the better for your health situation. The same "whole world" that cannot even invite the Dalai Lama for ordinary handshake are the ones attempting to dictate to Israel. |
Efewestern:You are going back and forth with your sentiment. Whatever you do, let it be at the back of your mind that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. No UN (non-binding) resolution can alter that. Donald Trump simply implemented the law of his country. The US congress had approved the relocation of their embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem since 1995. The US president is only to consider the security situation in the process. If the situation is not conducive, the president signs to postpone implementation till another six month. Successive presidents had postponed it every six months since then. Trump feels it is conducive for him to move the embassy at this time, considering that the administrative, judiciary and legislative functions of Israel are headquartered in Jerusalem. Israel has withdrawn from many occupied land. These include the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Height and as recently as 2005, Gaza. Israel must exist side-by-side with the Arabs. No one is going for another. Israel as a sovereign nation determines where its capital should be. When the military moved the Nigeria's capital from Lagos to Abuja, all foreign embassies were relocated, while some consular services are left in Lagos. Why should Israel's case be different? |
Efewestern:This is very childish, to say it nicely. You said... "Jews were defeated and fled Jerusalem." "After a long time Jews came back and reclaimed the land." What exactly is the problem you have? Is it that you are happy they were defeated and fled? Or is it that you are unhappy that they came back to reclaim the land? Let people know your problem. |
Efewestern:It's written in English buddy. Jerusalem remains the eternal and undivided capital of the Jewish people. See below for the meanings of the words. All definitions are taken from internet dictionaries and wikipedia. The sources are rational too. If you need further assistance you are free to request. Jerusalem [ji-roo-suh-luh m, -zuh-] Word Origin noun 1. a city in and the capital of Israel: an ancient holy city and a center of pilgrimage for Jews, Christians, and Muslims; divided between Israel and Jordan 1948–67; Jordanian sector annexed by Israel 1967; capital of Israel since 1950. eternal ɪˈtəːn(ə)l,iːˈtəːn(ə)l/ adjective adjective: eternal; noun: Eternal 1. lasting or existing forever; without end. "Warsaw is the capital of Poland" synonyms: first city, most important city, seat of government, centre of administration; metropolis "Warsaw is the capital of Poland" Jews (/dʒuːz/;Hebrew: יְהוּדִים Yehudim, Israeli pronunciation [jehuˈdim]), also known as Jewish people, are an ethnoreligious group and a nation originating from the Israelites, or Hebrews, of the Ancient Near East. Jewish ethnicity, nationhood and religion are strongly interrelated, as Judaism is the traditional faith of the Jewish people while its observance varies from strict observance to complete nonobservance. |
seunmsg:The vote is meaningless. If the UN "couldn't pull a hair on Nigeria's head" when Nigeria stood staunchly against their homosexuality stance, is it the United States that foots almost all their bills that they would hound? Jerusalem remains the eternal and undivided capital of the Jewish people. Sooner or later, the so-called 127 countries will adjust to reality. |
nnachukz:Nobody advised him wrongly. Buhari has not hidden his support for anything Islamic. Below is what he said in 2016. It was widely reported. Nigeria’s President Buhari declares total support for Palestinian State. |
It is an unassailable fact that fundamental cow rights exist in Nigeria under Buhari. |
What Nigeria needs is an improvement in electoral processes. The electoral laws should be strengthened. The judiciary should be encouraged to assert itself as stipulated in the constitution (but must not be allowed to turn itself into the electorates - like Salami did). The political parties should organize themselves properly. The academia, professionals, media and the civil societies should engage more. Electoral system should have the ability and capacity to reward good performance and punish evil. A six year single term is a recipe for disaster. Imagine Buhari and Yahaya Bello of Kogi State having a six-year-single-term. A good electoral system would have weeded out Buhari from the competition for lack of secondary school certificate and his egregious human right and economic management records in the 1980s. Yahaya Bello would not have happened on Kogi people with a good electoral structure in place. |
GavelSlam:Are you saying that the woman in Katsina (Buhari's home state) who was arrested for trying to sell her twins is "self-sufficient in agriculture" too? Is the commissioner of police in Katsina also not seeing your "locally produced and visibly sold rice"? The date is December 6th 2017. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/12/woman-arrested-attempting-sell-twin-n350000-katsina/ The State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Besen Gwana confirmed this while briefing newsmen shortly before parading the woman alongside other supects arrested for criminal offences in the state on Wednesday. CP Gwana said Salima’s decision to sell the baby could not be unconnected to frustration and the present economic hardship in the country. |
Most of these states were simply abandoned by the PDP leaders/state governors then. The conspiracy to get a minority man out of the was none negotiable for them. Niger State for instance had voted PDP from 1999 till 2011. But by 2015, Babangida Aliyu, the then governor, reportedly campaigned for senate with Buhari's image on his posters. Plateau, Benue, Kogi, and Kwara are strong PDP states. Taraba and Adamawa too. Bauchi, Gombe and Jigawa have strong PDP presence. (There was an allegation against Adamu Muazu of wilful sabotage of the PDP in Bauchi) The middle belt voted against the PDP as part of the grand conspiracy embellished with fictitious assurances that attacks on their communities by the Fulani cattle-rearers would stop. We can all see how things have worsened 100,000%. |
bettercreature:This is an extreme insult. You really need to open your eyes before making comments. Femi Aribisala, a pastor for over 20 years, earned his Ph.D from Oxford University more than 30 years ago. |
“We must get our people to a point in which they appreciate when the value of their life is depreciating. And that is what is happening to us now,” he said. “In most part of northern Nigeria for example where children are stunting, when those children turn 30, 40 and they become part of your workforce, their capacity to interpret data, grasp the urgency of development is severely constrained. This is best diagnosis of the kind of ailment plaguing almost all Buhari's supporters. |
Too many Nigerians have lost self-esteem within just two years of Buhari's government. The sense of hopelessness pervading Nigeria currently has got to a critical level. |
Ojiofor:Most highly educated societies have diversity of thoughts. |
Ojiofor:It is called independence of mind. Most highly educated societies have diversity of thoughts. |
Is Doyin Okupe still a PDP member? |
What about the seized Timpriye Silva's houses you returned to him when you came into office. |
Nuzo1:Does this make any sense to you? Does it look like Buhari and his failed government know anything about these countries you are talking about? Non of these countries scared investors away because of phantom "character". They invited investors to their countries to take advantage of cheap labor. They encouraged internal entrepreneurial spirits. They inculcated science, mathematics and technology in their educational curricula. These countries are free market economies with all the flaws and correction mechanism of capitalism, not feudalistic enclaves where herds of cattle have rights to own land above human beings. Their leaders didn't go about calling all their people THIEVES. They went all their ways to invite foreign capitals, technology and goodwill to their countries. And they did all these with a clear vision of PROSPERING their people not laying imaginary foundations in the air. |
shukuokukobambi:You are sounding incoherent. It'll be better to get some medical advise for your nerve issues. Always read before you respond. |
shukuokukobambi:There were movie theaters in Saudi Arabia before 1979. Male and female public interactions were not restricted. Permission was not required for female to engage in minor things. Arguably, Mecca and Medina's significance was no more than the Vatican's location in Italy. The radicalization was a response to the extremism birthed in the nearby Iran. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/24/middleeast/saudi-arabia-prince-more-moderate-islam/index.html |
shukuokukobambi:Did you equally encourage the "stupidity" of the media when Buhari was falsely accusing his opponents and running down Nigeria's economy? Aawe, you don't go about accusing people of being responsible for your nervousness. It's something you have to acknowledge and seek a medical solution for. Before it leads to other things. |
shukuokukobambi:How were they able to be secular before 1979? How was the Shah of Iran able to reign in Shiite extremism before the Ayatollah overthrew him? The head-to-head support and finance of extremism by both the Saudis and Iranians (Sunni and Shiite) are results of the radicalization of the region. You seemed to be against Donald Trump's business consideration; he is unapologetic about that, he was voted to Make America Great Again. Whether or not Salman is able to modernize Saudi is left to be seen. What is clear to all, however, is the dwindling advantage of OIL. The Arab world is facing a very uncertain future without the advantage of petrol-dollar. |
shukuokukobambi:If you can read and write, it should not be difficult for you manage your blood pressure. Getting unnecessarily hysterical because of a blog headline can lead to serious health consequences. You would have taken your time to read beyond the headlines. We warned you people when you were "ingesting" every nonsense propaganda that Buhari was using the media to spew against his political opponents but you didn't listen. Now that they are using his tactics against him, you are heating your head against the stone. |
shukuokukobambi:Read and understand Saudi Arabia is undergoing some modernization currently, the Sunni Islam as you know it is being dismantled systematically. Efforts are on to return Saudi Arabia to pre-1979 secular/liberal society by the Crown Prince according to reports. If these efforts yield good results, it will be a boon to world peace and a disadvantage to extremists/jihadists everywhere. shukuokukobambi:Read and understand Question - “how come you are running away from the United States of America? What offence have you committed to warrant not being able to visit, since all this time?” Answer - Atiku fired back at me: “It is the sole prerogative of America to determine who they want in their country or not. I’m not running away from America. I applied, but wasn’t issued a visa. However, they did not decline me categorically either. They’ve only said my application is going through administrative process. This is not peculiar to me. For about 15 years, Buhari could not enter America on account of religious considerations. The current Indian Prime Minister, Modi, suffered the same fate for years. Today, he is being treated to red carpet treatment in America.. I fly to different parts of the world, including Europe, if America wanted me, it would be so easy for them to reach out to their allies…” |
hmuhammad:This is misplaced optimism. Buhari won the "core north" NE and NW in 2011. 2015 was when the main theme was grand conspiracy from rabid hatred for a minority candidate. As you can see, the whole of Southern Kaduna is under the threat of mass killing. NC and SW are licking their wounds now. The massacre in Benue and Plateau is not abating. Within 2 years of Buhari's governance, Nigeria has been returned to the SLAVE TRADE ERA. SW's mercantile vocation has been grounded with the Customs seizures and destruction of their wares. SW's civil servants have since set up Economically Displaced Persons' Camps while suicide rate is increasing at a geometric proportion. In 2019, the candidate of the opposition would not be a minority. Time will tell. |
Jaideyone:Ogbeni, can you read at all? Question - “how come you are running away from the United States of America? Newbiee:Did you read the interview? The comment was on Atiku's failure to enter the US, which his adversaries have been using against him. His response was that it was a visa issue. He added that Buhari himself was denied for several years prior to his presidency because of his bigotry. This shouldn't be difficult for you to comprehend. |
TonyeBarcanista:The question begging for answer is, did the US deny Buhari visa on account of his religious extremism before he became president? It should be easy for Adesina to disprove this with Buhari's passport and other supporting documents published. Unfortunately, asking Buhari to support himself with any evidence on anything is so difficult. Narendra Modi was denied visa into the US for years for his anti-Muslim postures especially his alleged complicity in the 2002 Gujarat riot. |
