Fulani man.

What is this nonsense you are talking?

Why are your foreign brothers not confronted by the Nigerian military since they are the ones saddled with protecting the territorial integrity of the country?

Is this not a declaration of war on Nigeria?

Why did the Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces not declare war on them since they are clearly a foreign occupation of the country he is governing?

Why are the Nigerian intelligence unit allowing them to rein free and murder people at will?

Benue leaders should constitute themselves into formidable pressure group and get these guys out of custody ASAP.

Get your lawyers out en mass to defend these guys immediately, that's the reason they studied law.

Precedence is already set.

Buhari went to challenge a sitting governor in 2000 over communal clash.

Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso has been going round the country effecting the release of his Fulani people whenever they are arrested.

Nigeria belongs to everyone.

Governor Ortom or whatever you are called, provide leadership for your people and stop crying like a woman up and down.

What is the meaning of hard options?

Fulani are being encouraged to buy land from communities and set-up their ranches as done in this 21st century.

Do you know what ranches are?

How hard can that be?

Must Buhari necessarily seize people's land and hand over to his Fulani relations because he is president today?

Most Buhari supporters are extreme sadists as you can see from the guy you quoted.

They have hatred for people making a living.

Buhari send your people to school to learn how to breed better cattle in the 21st century.

You have the instrument of office now, use it now before it is too late.

If you come up with a policy that gives Fulani incentives to get education as you gave your children education in the UK, not many intelligent people would complain too much.

Stop your people from trampling on people's farmlands and butchering them like goat.

Assist your people.

Among them are potential veterinary doctors, Olympic medal winners in long distance race, hatchers, geographers, astronomers etc.

Empower them.

Cattle rearing is not the only profession in the world.

And there are better ways of breeding cattle these days.

Instead of encouraging them to continue rearing cow in the bushes and getting farmers killed everywhere, give them education.

They will figure out how to breed better cow.

Hide and skin production would create/revive leather business in Kano. Who knows, the city could even attract Italian shoe makers.

Some of them might specialize in research on boosting of milk production, meat quality etc.

Cattle can be traded in futures market at commodity exchanges.

They would become richer.

They will know how to talk to bankers and sign credit facility deals.

Fulani people will stop the nonsensical idea of seeing cows as reason for their existence.

They will learn how to see cows as a commodity, a product.

The concept of risk and returns would make meanings to them.

You too could learn one or two ways of "making money"; ability of which you earlier confessed you lacked.

You people have dragged Nigeria backward for too long because of cows.

The other 'leaders can never be united as the fulanis, these people are bound by their religious beliefs, its like a cult thing, their god, 'allah' is a blood thirsty god, well i wish i could say more....
This is bizarre.

Those "leaders" are just useless.

Do you need any religion to protect or defend yourself physically?

This should be as basic as nature exists.

Even bacteria collaborate among themselves for self defense.

What if there's flood or earthquake threatening their existence, would they be talking of religion?

There is no religion that is against protecting oneself from existential threat.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, special about Fulani, we just cannot overcome our proclivity to indulge them by allowing them to get away with multiple atrocities without challenge, and telling ourselves how "omnipotent" they are.

They are not more religious or "cultic" than any tribe in Nigeria.

Most of these villages in Benue have one or more "deities" that they claim they worship, and into which they claim they have "initiated" their young men, as a defense/military force.

Why is it difficult to put them into the use for which they have been inducted.

We read about how the people of Nasarrawa (Ombatshe) put a stiff resistance to a massive "invasion" of their homestead not long ago.

Why are Benue people allowing their defenseless people massacred for this long without resistance?

Are they goats?

Below is an account of self-defense in the Bible

Nehemiah 4:7-23

7 But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry.

8 They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it.

9 But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.

10 Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”

11 Also our enemies said, “Before they know it or see us, we will be right there among them and will kill them and put an end to the work.”

12 Then the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.”

13 Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows.

14 After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”

15 When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.

16 From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah

17 who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18 and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.

19 Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall.

20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”

21 So we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out.

22 At that time I also said to the people, “Have every man and his helper stay inside Jerusalem at night, so they can serve us as guards by night and as workers by day.”

23 Neither I nor my brothers nor my men nor the guards with me took off our clothes; each had his weapon, even when he went for water.
They prayed.

Their leader reassured/emboldened them.

They used their intelligence network to get into the Arabs' violent plans (counter-intelligence).

They stationed sentries to alert them of invasion.

They reinforced their rank and file.

They posted troops to guard their workers.

They built their wall.

They didn't let down their guards even when they went drinking water.

There is already an anti open grazing law in Benue state similar to what Fayose enacted in Ekiti state. Implementing the law by the law enforcement agencies is however the problem. This is why state police is inevitable in Nigeria. Governors make laws for the peace and security of their States without having the means to enforce the laws. This are the kind of issues that the call for restructuring should address. In the interim, I will advice the governor to raise and arm a local militia group to meet force with force. Any Fulani herdsmen seen with arms or suspected to be part of the killing gang should be shot at sight.

The president must also stop his pretentious stand and address this issue of criminal herdsmen once and for all. The killings are too much and the presidents silence and inaction is no longer tolerable. The military should be deployed to the state to fish out the criminal herdsmen who are commuting genocide in Benue, Taraba, Kaduna and Adamawa state. Buhari should be bold enough to be the president of Nigeria and not the president of Fulani people alone.

Politics › Re: Ekweremadu Advocates Return To Parliamentary System Of Government.. by porka: 8:15am On Dec 29, 2017
Nigeria does not need any parliamentary system of government.

What Nigeria needs is a good electoral system.

Parliamentary system works well where people cherish the principles of consensus building and give and take.

Nigeria is too disorderly for such a system.

Nigerians are cannot trust each other.

There is no region that can survive this system.

Imagine for a second if Nigeria were Germany where the Chancellor is still struggling to form her government after several months of election. (Note - this is not the same as Buhari taking eternity to appoint ordinary ministers.)

Italy and Japan were practically changing prime ministers every 1 or 2 years in the recent past.

Imagine the chaos and the level of instability that would have caused the Nigeria's economy.

And it is not that Nigeria has not practiced it before.

Parliamentary system was what our founding fathers started with in the 1960s shortly after Independence.

It failed woefully.

The military simply took advantage of lack of cohesion to stage their coup d'etat which led to us where we are now.

Nigerian politicians are even more unruly now than they were in those days.

The country itself is just too fragmented now, more than at any time in our history.

How would the APC have functioned in a parliamentary system with their disjointed structure where everyone is the lord?

You can argue for eternity about the cost of running a presidential system, it won't change anything. It is not that the parliamentary system too would be entirely free of costs.

Moreover, it is doubtful if there are verifiable scientific evidence (published researches/studies) supporting the assertion.

Much of the argument on cost reductions have been purely conjectures at best and wishful thinking at worst.

Nigeria needs strong electoral system and this presidential system would just be fine.

This is the 18th straight year we have been on it.

One of the main problems right now is that the traditional watchdogs - the civil society and the media - are not effective with holding Buhari to account on many fronts.

They seem to be struggling with playing their role in the age of new media or they have been bought or cowed into submission.

The Nigeria's media and the intelligentsia were most feared and indeed respected across the world.

Until they fell into Buhari and his government's spell by helping to dish out lies and demonic propaganda - becoming accomplices in disparaging people's characters.

Are we in the same world?

President Donald Trump just recognized the same Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and is moving the US embassy there.

Isn't that what led to the whole discussion?

You are confusing yourself.

Who took whose "land forcefully"?

You earlier claimed that Jews were defeated and fled only to come back and reclaim the land they fled from.

What other proof do you seek than what you claimed in your own posts?

Are you now recanting? Make up your mind.

Or is that your own proof that the Arabs "own" the East Jerusalem?

East Jerusalem was under the British Mandate left in 1947 which the Jews declared their nation afterwards. (Jordan temporarily seized it after the British left while Israel took it back in the 1967 war)

African countries' UN votes or opinions count for nothing.

The same UN voted for homosexuality which was completely ignored by many African countries.

Or what is do you think the effect of the vote would be, other than for political mastubatory purposes?

Many Arabs countries rely on Israel for many things, including security and agriculture. Nigeria itself relies on Israel in many ways.

What you should do is to get properly educated on the subject matter and quit being emotional.

Your retorts ("defend evil" "God's people" "Arab niggas" ) may appeal to emotionally unstable minds, but they don't change the fact. Things are discussed based on their individual merit subject to available facts.

Israel and the Palestinian Arabs must live side by side.

Arabs must accept that Jewish people have the right to live in Israel, their homeland.

Jordan, Syria and Egypt that suffered terrible defeat in their attempt to destroy Israel are wiser to negotiate the peaceful return of their territories captured during the ill-fated battles with Israel.

The UN should face reality and stop deceiving the Palestinian Arabs. East Jerusalem will not be their capital. It is currently under the control of Israel.

It does not make sense for a single CITY to serve as the capital of two separate/different countries.

There is no country in the world that is under the UN dictate concerning their capital city.
