Politics › Re: The Problems I Have With 'restructuring Nigeria' by porka: 7:52am On Jun 23, 2017
Corruption is a result of the crooked structure.

Everyone goes there to take his/hers because the structure does not make anyone accountable.

Don't be blinded by mere chants and sloganeering.

Are you saying as a minority you are enjoying the structure of Nigeria, or you are just afraid of 'losing' the 'protection'.

Britain just left the EU after trial and error of over 70 years of integration. Other countries want their own referendum as well.

For planning purposes, the figure of 1.7 m was misleading, a fact that was worsened by the fact that more than 50% of the candidates do not even have the pre-requisite qualifications, and in reality, more than 70% of all candidates applied for courses in the Arts and Social Sciences, whereas for national manpower development purposes, the expectation is that the Sciences should produce up to 70%.
Have they offered admission to the 30% current science candidates yet?
Politics › Re: Islamic Arabic Studies - What Christians Must Do To Stop Islamization by porka: 8:21am On Jun 20, 2017
Mr Arabic scholar, how many of you scholars can sustain normal (everyday) conversation in Arabic outside Islamic topics?

Your 'logic' would have made a lot of 'sense' if the so-called Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3...) on our currency notes can be read/interpreted by your Arabic learning people instead of adding some other funny lettering. It doesn't make much sense for Arabic scholars to jettison their so-called Arabic numbering for other funny numbering.

If you just allow your kids in the north to take polio vaccine, you would have given them a reason to live and believe in chemistry, than the indoctrination in Arabic.

If you had allowed your kids to take lessons in basic English language, people would not have reasoned that some 'kidnapped girls' had wanted to write a WAEC physics paper without ability to construct a single sentence in English.

What is the "prophet" up-to this time?

“Those who don ’t learn (from) the blunder of history will repeat the blunder of history until they become history. Adonijah did not learn from what happened to Absalom and he came to a wrong conclusion because his scenario postulation was wrong . He assumed that ‘ if the king is this old and weak, the next in line is automatically the next king ’ . ”
Is he saying Osinbajo is Absalom or Adonijah?

Oil price no gree rise reach.

Company income tax don fly comot.

Customs duties/levies are charged on empty containers at the ports.

Cattlemen don diversify into agro-killing.

You can imagine the nonsense. Trump withdrew from Paris agreement because he thinks it is hampering energy creation and jobs. Here is Nigeria with minute energy no th sufficient for household consumption let alone for industries. The agreement stops us from creating coal energy, exactly what the world is running on.

We are not part of those emitting carbon yet we are bond by it esp when we can't use wind and solar energy to meet our energy demand. Our treasure is forever locked! No infrastructure, no ondustries, no jobs yet she is writing what she doesn't know about. Sad!
Those you see here in Nigeria talking about this global scam are part of the large pool of worldwide business empires created around the nonsense.

They are paid generously and are included in the statistics of world 'scientists' who have impeccable proofs. Many of them don't even know what they are talking about.

Can you imagine one of them claimed on radio the other day that CO2 is responsible for earthquakes?
Celebrities › Re: Chioma Obiadi's Open Letter To Donald Trump by porka:
Her write up is filled with many assertions.

Is she one of 'millions climate scientists' behind the 'global cooling, global warning and climate change' enterprises?

Young woman, the business is on the verge of bankruptcy. America has a business mogul now as president who can smell business and opportunity from a thousand mile, not a community organizer.

The financial institutions forced to advance facilities to so-called 'green' businesses have began taking stocks of their losses already. And China will soon find out that sponsoring phantom climate apocalypse NGOs with negative ROI is not the same as building railroads.

You are advised to find another venture; try importation of human hair - you don't have to know what CO2 means at least.

With the way the left-wing nuts are pushing for the de-legitimization of Donald Trump's government, he might just hit back at them by exposing some of the highly classified conspiracies.

We could wake up one morning read some tweets about Boko Haram and Chibokgirls from Trump.

It is a possibility.

Working with some of the most foolish political and economic policy assumptions; dated assumptions - traceable to the period when humans were hunting games and gathering fruits for living.

2) Prevent Chibok "ladies" from "releasing sensitive" information to Boko Haram (whose commanders you have released) while "negotiating" for the "release" of others?
Politics › Re: Chibok Girls: What Is Not Missing Cannot Be Found, Says Fayose by porka: 5:08pm On May 09, 2017
It will take another full year (plus) before the ladies are released to their "parents".

Enough time to "wipe out" any memory of what they went through in "captivity".

Their predecessors are still in "custody" since October 2016.
Politics › Re: Deepening Uncertainty Over Buhari’s Health - Punch Editorial by porka: 1:53pm On May 04, 2017
This is tantamount to "medicine after death".

Buhari reportedly collapsed on the campaign trail due to his failing health but the Punch did not write any long editorial to scrutinize their endorsed candidate.

Why should we take what they say serious now?

Any responsible media outlet would do a complete background check of any political candidate before endorsement.

Evidence and logic are not important to them.

Their brains have been savagely damaged and tuned to believe in magic and theatrics permanently.

Sentiments as side, most intelligent Nigerians wanted Goodluck out of the Presidency at all cost even if his replacement is a Togolese Farmer.

Buhari benefitted from this simply because he is from an opposition party AND he is known for his anti corrupting stance.
Mr Man, a chronic gambling behavior is not a measure of intelligence, it is a symptom of psychosis.

No smart person makes decision just for fun. They take measured steps based on scientific criteria. They are also bold enough to acknowledge their mistakes if the desired outcome did not materialize.

As you can see, your 'intelligent' decision is directly linked to the rising suicide rates in the country.

Obasanjo brings his personal problems with anyone to the public every time.

Obasanjo doesn't like people he can't control.

His support is based on controlling the individual.

Any attempt to be assertive means he will turn against the person.

Why should anyone dictate to a president of a country who to appoint as a petroleum minister.

Did Obasanjo allow himself to be bossed around by the Fulani mafia who "awarded" him the presidency in 1999?

Why did he "warn" that Diezani not be appointed? What are the specific reasons?

Politics › Re: The Unprecedented Level Of Patience Shown To Buhari- Nigerian Economist by porka: 7:18pm On Apr 23, 2017
It's easy to deceive Nigerians and continue to deceive them in perpetuity. Buhari can spend one hundred years in office with the worst economic performance without a single complaint from his worshipers.

Just announce that an outrageous figure in naira or foreign currency has been stolen by a government worker (past or present), many Nigerians will stop what they are doing instantly - they will quickly cram the figure and add their own from their fertile imaginations, for onward dissemination to their group.

The bearer of the tale would garnish it with some equally unbelievable story of how the sums were discovered 'under a river' in the village of the accused, or how they were hidden inside a 'rock' in the ancestral home of the accused.

Sadly, they will go back home to commit suicide or jump into the river on their way home from the 'group discussion' as a result of the stack economic reality which the stories have refused to take away from their circumstances.

factsandfigures:
If only we know how much PMB must have approved in the past two years for some unbudgeted and undisclosed operations. It is also possible that PMB cronies are already misappropriating some of these funds. The fact is that the powers granted to Nigeria President and Governors by our constitution encouraged corruption and abuse of power that even a supposed honest man like PMB may not have choices but to sacrifice integrity at the altar of political exigencies. Can we in all honesty vouched for the sources of PMB's campaign funds running into billions?
Can we say all the former APC governors do not loot money or allocated money for elections?
What about the PDP politicians that defected to APC are they now saint?

I am not in any way supporting GEJ, but Nigerians should stop reasoning along party and ethnic lines. The fact is almost all our politicians are corrupt and are looting us blind. This looting unfortunately is still taking place under PMB. We need to speak with one voice and rise against these people that are looting our collective wealth.
Na so.

$2.6b (in 2016 alone) for combating terrorism in the northeast as disclosed by one of the service chiefs at a lecture in far away USA.

Many more will be disclosed when a new government takes office at the expiration of the current one.

Senator Abdulmumin Jibrin has offered some advice to Nigerian politicians urging them to relate properly with their constituents. Jibrin, via his twitter handle, posted photographs of himself relating with his constituents along with the following words;

"A politician MUST relate freely with his people day and night..once you are fair to them, they will NEVER stone you!"

Jibrin’s statement is coming barely 48 hrs after Katsina state governor, Bello Masari, Abu Ibrahim, a senator representing Katsina south, and Amiru Tukur, member representing Bakori/Danja in the house of representatives, were pelted with stones by angry residents at an APC rally in Funtua, Katsina state.jibrin-advice.

Politics › Re: The Rarest Gem Is Leadership Without Ego - Ibraheem Dooba P.h.d To Sunusi by porka:
The north will keep on being laggards and drawing the rest of the country back if you and the emir and all other leaders do not democratize education.

If you keep education away from the almajiris while sending your children to schools both in and out of the country, the whole country will remain backward.

Sanusi's Rolls Royce is not the issue; if he is found to have misappropriated funds, he should be brought to justice; the issue is his privileged background that made him have access to education; even dropping out of a master's degree programme in ABU and still became the CBN governor. A privilege that extends to his marrying an 18 year old girl and still send her abroad to study. An average ALMAJIRI lacks this.

If you democratize education, an almajiri will have HOPE, he would ASPIRE, he could DREAM, and certainly make plans to ACHIEVE his DESIRES.

Other regions, including even the middle belt, are using education as a leveler. "Ordinary" people's children could aspire to anything they want to be in life.

That's the story my friend.

How do you explain to the judge that you brought an accused before him because you THINK he is corrupt?
