emkz: He is too quiet. We need to hear the reforms he has in mind. The judiciary needs reforms, and we need to see action from him. We can see Yemi Cardoso and Wale Edun's reforms even if they are not talking. I always like people who justify their point and view. I totally agree with you. As much as I respect Fagbemi, I neva see reform true true. |

What makes you think that it is only Nigerians that are corrupt?
Is Gianni Infantino a Nigerian? Is Mitchell Platimi a Nigerian?
The people that bought Sancho for ManU at 78 million pounds, are they Nigerians?
The people that bought players at ridiculous amount for Chelsea FC, are they Nigerians?
The type of sleaze that goes on.at the Vatican, are they being perpetrated by Nigerians?
I know it is customary to always want to come up with topics that will denegrate the country. |

blkmum700: RIP to her. Am I the only person with a contrary view on this? I believed the whole thing was staged; someone probably killed her inside that toilet and had it staged as suicide; she could have just committed suicide in her house. Why the bank toilet? All your assumptions are wrong if I may say. Anyone that wants to commit suicide MAY choose anywhere they deem right. What makes you think it is all staged? Someone killed her inside a staff toilet in a bank? Wonderful thought! Does is makes sense that someone kills another in such an office environment? Did the killer forced her to write the note before killing her? Finally, how old are you? |

Mynd44: These people have no loyalty anymore (I don't think they ever did)
From Fubara going to Aso Rock because of his politician problem which has effectively handed the Rivers Assembly to APC instead of the PDP HQ to Bwala who used to be Atiku's person and very vocal against Tinubu. This is just weird and funny. No moral code on these streets So, Fubara should not have gone to Aso Rock when the president intended to intervene in the crisis that was about setting his state ablaze? You people should learn to emphasize with people in certain issue. So, if you were to be in his shoes, you would have ignored the invitation? Na WA o! |

dfrost: Does one even need to read 📚 a book 📖 to know the truth? The Holy Books have everything we need, but like you said, Nigerians don't read.
For me that's financial recklessness to start with. 400k with no savings? Net for that matter ooh? 🙄🥴 Totally agree with you but the truth is, Richest man in Babylon is a game changer. All you can ever need for financial wisdom is in that book. I disregarded it for over 15 years and can only say, I regretted my action. Surely, everything is not about books but the message for our friend is, if he is sacked today, he will survive on N100,000 monthly for months before getting another job. |

Googledrive12: I have one advice for you, buy this book, The Richest man in Babylon. After you read it come back here in 6 months and give your testimony. Remember you must be disciplined to practice what it teaches. That is the solution to your financial problem, That book changed my life for good, If you don't have the time or don't fancy reading books, get the audio from sportify I think it is about 4 hours long. The same book, my wife came into my home with it after we married. I did not read it. Over 15 years later, I read it and came to the conclusion that, it could have changed my life in more wonderful ways if I had read it earlier. Your suggestion is good but trust me, Nigerians do not read. |

If you really desire change in your financial situation as a family man earning with kids and the rest, the solution to your problem is not on Nairaland.
Rather, it is on you sitting down and telling yourself the truth. It now depends on how truthful you can be with your self. |
Career › Re: 400k Salary, but nothing. by ppogba: 9:57pm On Jan 10, 2024 |
Tealcrestmedia: There are basic rules that help someone avoid financial pressure. Firstly, everything you do must be in percentages of your salary, the main one being not spending more than 30% of your annual income on rent. Your annual income is 4.8m assuming that is all you earn. Your rent must not exceed 1.2m.
Next, tailor your spending to allow 20% saving monthly which will be your investment funds. The rest will be dependent on your lifestyle choices and the cost of living for where you stay.
I noticed you mentioned forex, because you didn't follow financial management principles, you used almost 40% annual income to invest in something you're not knowledgeable in, you should test the waters with no more than 5% monthly per time. Agree with your analysis but the truth is anyone earnings 400k and living in a rented apartment of 1.2m per year can never move forward. |

Forex is like betting, and sports betting still better than forex, but people will like to defend nonsense.
So many advert here and there regarding FOREX which the government should ban.
Baba Ijebu is far reliable than.forex The problem most people have is herd mentality. The moment they hear about something being the reigning thing pronto, they join the band wagon without knowing next to nothing about it.. When they now get their fingers burnt, they start lamenting. |

The board of these banks would have been willing to pay him top dollar to sweep issues under the rug. Man like Cardoso 🫡🦾

I don't really believe it.
Before you come for me, I graduated with 1st class and was the top of my class in Engineering as well. A first class graduate will not argue stupidly and blindly like this. You cannot believe a report from a source that quoted a senior academic staff of the university? You cannot believe that someone made a perfect 5.0 CGPA? You still dey sleep on top keke.
