Please how do one jump pass this hurdle PLEASE HELP She can bring dependents on one year course ..for the applicants VO will consider strong ties to country of origin :source of funds /employment and assets! macsilver: Your wife’s friend is right but you need to weigh your options. Being that she has only OND, she may have little limitations in terms of schools and all, but I understand you guys may not generate much income if she is the dependent. You have an upper hand with the degree you have, and you could apply for a 2 year pgde or graduate cert. course in your discipline (cheaper), and she would be the dependent, if she can work sha. If you eventually find a school that takes only OND (I’m assuming you’re not going through an agent), then by all means, apply and be the dependent. Just make sure you are applying for a post graduate course because if you apply for an undergraduate course, she would not be able to go with any dependent.
The study gap is not an issue per se. It can be written for you. Not even a big deal. Your SOP would also help back it up.
To answer your last question, you have enough home ties.
Please note that I am an agent, and this advice is coming from the experience I have, having secured admission for hundreds of applicants. Good luck. The bolded is not true...from my own personal experience..with the following reasons: I am currently on open work permit in canada while wife is studying undergraduate program in canada i have Bsc already.. |

Tolifefun: not underground employment. Visitors are allowed to work with visitor visa till 2025. May be you should post link/url here. There is no policy that allowes visitors without work permit to obtain SIN/Social insurance number in canada and no employer will employ without SIN and are not allowed to work without SIN even on work permit, the information i can see is visitors allowed to apply for work permit in canada extended for 2 years. That is till 2025. |

Exline101: Greetings my good people , I came into Canada today and Canadian immigration gave me 1 year 3 months study permit while my course is 1 year and 8 months approximately 2 years , when I queried one said that it can be extended that I will have to call IRCC. Though the workload on them this morning was heavy , lots of student came in today …. My people , I hope this won’t affect my 3years PGWP ?? Seems like you deferred the admission after visa approval... The immigration officer should have told you that..you should have at least 30 days before expiry to extend your study permit in canada.. |

Amosey: Hi everyone! I’m confused about if I should inform IRCC about my new LOA.
I already have my passport stamped for fall 2022 but my ppr came after the semester has already started so I deferred my admission to Spring 2023 (May) because there was no seat available for Winter intake at the time of my deferral.
My questions are: 1. Do I have to inform IRCC about it. (Note that my application has been processed and a decision has been made) 2. Will Study Permit be issued based on validity of LOI or based on the date on my new LOA at Port of Entry.
@makano @johnstan @frankrobin @anon123 @bullstriker @Ketima 2. You will probably need extension in the future or later for the intended program or to complete the program, your study permit won't go beyond the date stated on the validity of letter of introduction. Permit is issued and valid from and on the date you arrived in canada.whatever step you take next.. Take your previous LOA and new Loa with you to canada, you will need to explain the situations above to the POE officer. In the case if asked to explain.. |

ChubaKC: It is well! Got refused this morning. Family of 6 (primary applicant inclusive)
Reason: Primary applicant- financial capacity and assets Other family members- financial capacity and purpose of visit
School admission hint: Admission- Jan 5 (now deferred to Sep 5 but not yet updated to IRCC) Tuition per year - 8874cad (now 9300cad) No tuition deposit required GRA appointment offer: 2000cad minimum monthly
Applications: Primary Applicant: Study permit (PhD 4-6yrs program) Other 5 family members: Visitors visa
Few Doc submitted due to size:
Primary applicant; -GRA offer letter stating min 2k cad monthly -Personal 4 months account statement- 10.5m balance -Pension statement- 2.5m -Personal Land Survey plan - 4 different plots (deeds not included cos of size) -Company CAC docs only (husb & wife directors) attached on wife client section and no financial doc attached cos of size -One Vehicle registration documents -School certificate & transcript -previous research publications -SOP -LOE -Authorization for leave from place of work
Dependents: -application for Visitors visa for all -Wife credentials and CAC doc for our company and one other business registration -LOE stating that spouse will bear all financial obligations through personal account and GRA offer -parents consent letter for children
Please I need to resubmit these applications as soon as possible. I need advice on what to do differently pls.
@bullstriker and other gurus in the platform I need your support pls
See attached It is obvious that you have insufficient funds. That is 10.5 m +2.5m Maintenance/living expenses per year for 5 family member is: spouse:4000 +other:3000+3000+3000+3000=16000 cad per year + student=26000 cad per year equivalent of 8,88,4025 naira The reality is that, the minimum funds per year for maintenance stated by IRCC is just minimum funds as it is ..when you arrive in canada you will spend more than that on living expenses alone. Including flight ticket for family of 6 with provided bank balance of 10.5m +2.5m...with this also spouse applied for visitor visa instead of open work permit. 4 to 6yrs PHD @ 9300 cad per year equivalent of 3,177,233 per year,Ircc will expect you to have more funds in bank balance other than previous bank balance provided and source of funds to support you in next 4 to 6 year..that is tuitions,3,177,233 naira +maintenance 8,884,025 naira per year |

kingpinjay: Can I ask if there will be queries at the airport if a student arrives a week after school start date? If you must arrive a week after school start date, I suggest you should observe the last date or deadline to register for courses ,is upto 2weeks from term start date for some schools/ University it may be stated on the letter of acceptance,if that date has elapsed you may have issues with the school, and this can be your only defence if the immigration officer queries your arrival. In that case you may say that course registration is still ongoing stating the last date for registration of courses. Though this is just a suggestion . |

Are we to pay tax to the FIRS account on every goods you purchase? Or is the receipt you collect from where you bought your goods enough to show as evidence? Am asking this so as to keep the CAC account Actice incase the embassy wants to verify not needed to pay tax while registering company with CAC For you to pay tax to FIRS you need to register for (TIN) Tax identification number of your company with FIRS Filling of annual return each year to CAC is what is needed to keep your business active with CAC |

My Tuition is 17075, and I paid 2500 cad, though my school doesn't require Tuition deposit. Obviously my 11m is not enough for 2 years, I want to ask if my 2 brothers can sponsor me for the second year, or I self sponsored myself and explain how I will pay for the second year fees. Please kindly respond It is reasonable to sponsor yourself add your brother as backup he can be the 2nd financial sponsor stating the amount of funds they will be providing that is the remaining tuition fees + maintenance (10000 cad$) per yr to support the application provide inflow and outflow of cash and source of funds! But not bank statements that appears like funds parking! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funds_parking |

While there has been increase in tuition fees in Canadian public schools since 2014 and also he got 50% off for 2nd year on cheaper tuition fee in 2014 compared to 2022 tuition fees there is marginal difference..even scarcity of foreign currency at official rate to pay first year school is also a challenge at least you can do the math from here... |
