9jatriot: This thread just like a similar one like it is further proof that Tinubu is the man for the job. He is a man who will not because of the next election be afraid to step on toes.
This thread is also further proof why a simp like the lamba king should not be allowed anywhere close to power because as it is with most simps, he will pander to certain elements in the country hoping that they will give him support on the next election.
Not everything is about election. Sometimes you need to do the right thing no matter whose horse is gourd. You mean like Jonathan? |

NairalandForumo: N-orthern T-elevision A-uthority
Sorry to say but nothing might happen, the northerners believe they own NTA, have you have heard the song they play before they read news? The song sounds so northern like....
Look at the color of NTA logo, looks so like northern colors
Ben Bruce came and rebranded all that when he was DG of NTA, changed the logo and color to a fine logo with blue, then made NTA 24 hours, they even stopped playing that northern sound before the news, the camera and recording quality improved that NTA started winning awards and competing with private stations, people who even hated NTA started watching NTA because he brought in new programs too, guess what?
when he was removed as DG, they reversed almost everything he did, it was like they even went and brought the old cameras and started using because the picture quality became poor, the logo was changed back and the northern sound was now played before the news.
Till date NTA has remained like a relic channel, the only thing they kept was the 24 hours broadcast.... You are an old timer. Remember NTA then, under Ben Bruce, used to join CNN around midnight everyday! In the evening they would join channel O. NTA changed a lot during Bruce's time. The northerners reversed everything. |

ProudNigerian01: Make una no vex o, Please I have a very important message for all serious Christians:
Please be very careful of spiritual pride.
Again I say be very careful of spiritual pride.
Luke.17.10 - So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, "We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do."'
No matter what you think you have achieved as a Christian, humble yourself and see it as nothing. See yourself as sheep who depends on the voice of the shepherd to find the way.
Thank God for the grace in operation in your life but please take active steps to not boast especially in your heart or to others of whatever level, you think you have attained in the spirit.
1Cor.15.10 - But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. May God give us the spirit of humility. |

Now those in Igboland, are they all traders? Do you have different prices for Igbos and adjusted prices for others?? Apart from that, the food he bought will finish. |

No government anywhere is immune from widespread dissatisfaction. Infact, the majority of people in the US, Germany, UK etc absolutely detests their current leaders.
As to your claim that the government is 'failing seriously,' it would be helpful if you could share your reasons for their failure as you say.
What do you think they seriously need to be doing now that they're not doing. You never know, people from government may be on Nairaland.

Honestly, I don't know how this is as bad as you claim. You knew you were going to serve a master from the beginning. Only a naive person would think it would be rosy living under the roof of a non family member , especially when the person marries.
But the main thing is that you learned a particular business under him and it can help you for the rest of your life. Not only this, he housed you and fed you for 7 years, probably clothed you and took care of your occasional medical expenses as well.
Some people who live with their parents don't find things easy at all. Then at the end of the day he still gave you a certain amount of money, an amount you are even afraid to tell us here. If you had gone to school for 7 years or less, do you think anyone would feed you for free? True, you worked for him but even at school there's serious stress accompanied with hunger and lack most often. And you will still pay through your nose, for a certificate you might not use at the end of the day.
Thank God for what you have and focus. Families should ensure that their children serving in other people's homes are safe. Papers should be signed and they should have unrestricted access to their children. At least for the safety of such young people. |

But even that is the job of the media and EFCC to investigate. Who or what can save the naira at this rate? I simply don't know.
I warned against floating the naira even when Buhari was president because I know that while floating was good, there are structural issues and foreign investors wouldn't just rush in immediately because you floated.
People just propose these liberal policies without looking at the issues in totality.
So yeah you are right. Tinubu should take some of the blame for the fast decisions but slow planning. Can they just stop the floatation of the naira? |

I strongly believe Nigeria will come out of the wood but it will take a lot of capital initiative. Obi would have done exactly as Tinubu did. But the difference is that Obi would have been seriously attacked by the press mostly run by the Yorubas and the masses would have turned Nigeria upside down by now. Obi not being a stone-hearted man like tinubu would have been bullied easily to bring back subsidies and support the naira. Things wouldn't have been this bad with another person but Tinubu. |

You should be more concerned about how Tinubu, in spite of all the hype that surrounded him before he assumed office, has done so badly. Dollar is now #1400 and foodstuff is beyond the reach of many ordinary Nigerians.
Governance should be about how to make life better for the citizens but this time around it's making life harder for Nigerians and making the politicians richer.
We should at this point be clamouring for change in anticipation of 2027. Atiku is a no go area. The only one who should attract the most attention now is Obi. At least to complete the remaining one term of the south. But trust people to put in tribalism and religion again. Tribalism both from the Igbos who are well known for bitterness and rudeness towards others, and also from the Yorubas and other southern groups who hate the Igbos. |

There are Nigerians working as classroom teacher earning #20k per month. They hustle as extra lesson teachers going from home to home to add maybe an extra #30k. At the end the #50k is less than $50. |

No one should come and be giving us an illusion of a time that we lived in. Inflation rate, GDP growth, budget deficits, etc. Those are indices used to judge the strength of an economy. Nigeria's economy was far stronger before buhari than after he took over. Don't even talk about today's own. |
