I will advise you to choose express entry especially if you qualify. I got admission in a school too but didn't go on and decided to start express entry, a move I didn't regret.

You obviously can afford the express entry. And I can afford a degree from the USA.

I said it before that your in-state and out of state has been waived. You only have to pay approximately 1000 dollars per semester. That's program fees. While you earn approximately the same amount monthly. This is a good offer for you. Congrats

You are Correct, However, according to the school's policy, the school waives non resident tuition and other fees while the department pays the in-state. So his/her department will determine whether they pay or not.

The offer obviously covers his/her tuition excluding the Stipend. See this Sentence "Reinmburse, your tuition and fees". This is a funding that covers majority of your living expenses if not all, and completely waives your tuition

Scholarships and Assistantships is more easier to get in America than Canada for Nigerians... So Yes!!!

Tuition in canada? There are no lot of scholarships and Assistantships in Canada like the USA. One can easily go and interview in Canada while in the USA. Get nominated for express Entry by a county or Company and then apply. It will be more easier. First, you have got the American experience which is obviously going to be an advantage wherever you want to go. Second, just as we all are saying, there are no lot of opportunities in the USA, the few ones might be meant for you.

I emailed professors with same research interest as mine and provided a research proposal. In 3 of the schools the professors replied saying they will go through my application and asked if they were mentioned in the application which I did. So should I see this as a positive sign since they replied my email and said they will scrutinize my application?

Be Positive, you will get a response but you must craft a reminder when its taking too long. However, search for moderate schools to compensate for what you have. Mail the department ahead for an application fee waiver so that you dont spend more on application.

They have a lot of potential candidates and GRE sometimes puts you in the best pool

Hi, I have actually been following up with your contributions on the thread for a while. I just want to chip in something.
For Most people here, the race is not to get admitted but to get better funding. With that profile, I can tell you for free that hes not guaranteed for an admit, not to talk of funding.

Not true. Your passport number does not change during renewal, it's permanent. Even your data page won't change during renewal, except you specifically apply for a change to your profile details which attracts extra charges.
The account they opened for me is not restricted, the aim of the data page is for identification and your passport number id you.
