So all my venom I've been offloading here all this while you didn't interprete it as Obama loosing his base? You didn't take it serious bc it's pres-elect abi We shall see |
buzugee:I'll take this as a very nice joke. but just in case you're serious, I'm a medic, so I can't have your funny hairstyle, and I ant wear your tight t shirts. Also, I'm lanky, with a long bones and little muscles, which are better covered with medically approved shirt with tie to match. My voice is far from bazz. And I'm not hairy. No beards, very little moustache, in college my friends called me 'bottle' that can never grow hairs. Now I never said the British police harrass me. I said they stop me time and again. And they do it nicely with a smile. Profiling is still profiling wether you do it with a smile or not. If you live in britain you'll understand that smiling is their culture and it doesn't mean they like you or they wish you well it's just the way they are. Lol. Peace ![]() |
dayokanu:OJ Simpson is a 'celebrity'. If he were some unknown black dude we would have heard a different story. Amanda Knox and Cassey Anthony are( or should I say were) no celebrities. If they were black the story would be different. You can continue to pretend otherwise. Let me clarify some issue here, I'm not saying our own African societies are better. And the US has never claimed to be perfect either. But we are discussing the judicial system in the country( and beyond, amanda is in italy). The black skin brings negative treatment in western judicial systems. Not only US, but also in UK. I've never been arrested, but I've been stopped by the police time and again to answer some profiling questions. Sad. But I play cool. Middle aged women hold tightly to their purse whenever I'm around. Lol . I keep to the law, that way I avoid unnecessary clash with the skewed judicial system. At least the west is that civilized in not randomly harrassing people. But if you keep thinking that you are treated same as white skins, goodluck to you. But while you're entitled to your own opinion, you ain't entitled to your own fact. Bc facts are facts. |
Tayo-D:he's right. No more complaints. |
Tayo-D: my hands are clean o. ![]() armyofone:I never knew those tea baggers had some sense I was waiting for them to nominate the Alaska gift but she doesn't even top their polls and the babe knows it's best to remain relevant from behind. As for chris cristie, take a look at huntsman, a popular governor, Obama sent him to china to get rid of him, GOP talked him into resigning and contesting, only for him to rock 1% poll after poll chris Christie is wiser than that. Look at Perry. Just a few weeks ago, if was Perry Perry Perry pls come join the race, now see the same Perry is abandoned. Lol. Bachmann mistook tea party bigoted anti Obama fever as popularity for her. She looked at her regular wacky crowd and started talking like them thinking it'll build her political machine. Mscheeew!!!!. Lol. John Stewart put it best, the problem is not the candidates, the problem is the far right wing tea party GOP primary voters. Lol. And pls tell Herman Cain to stop wasting his time they are deceiving him with those fake polls. He won't win one vote on election day Black Man? GOP? Not in this century. Lol. |
JeSoul:his business is any non illegal thing he has to do to make money( tv show, radio, crusade, hate spewing, fake godliness, right wing psychosis etc) his market= extreme right wing nuts, white supremacists, xenophobic hate mongers, trigger-happy-gun-loving-bible-carrying-aka-bible-belt-pro-israel-pretenders and their cohorts. you can add tayo to the list(except that i believe tayo is a real xtian) he he he heeee, i have asked for trouble now ![]() |
he is simply a business man playing to his market base. |
I'm trying to imagine if Amanda Knox or Cassey Anthony were black ![]() I'm just saying. . . . |
davidylan:how sure are you. You weren't there. I wasn't there, I don't know. So how sure are you. |
Finally, Obama has started calling out the republicans by name. All this while he complains of "congress" bla bla bla as if he's scared of stating the obvious that the republicans were the ones blocking his plans. Now he is dying in the poll and he's ready to call the republicans by name(calling out speaker boehner and senator mitch mcconnell) Too little too late. |
i'm finding it hard to understand obama. he came to washington and disappointed the liberals, we waited patiently and supported him hoping he will fight our cause. he kept pandering to the right, hoping delusionally that they'll support him, no w the left has started to abandon him, and he is getting fire from the left, and his polls habe gone real low(bc his base which gives him the poll figures have started to withdraw) and so now he has started to ''fight'' for the left. i'm skeptical. it's either he plays to the side that criticises him most OR he has finally come to the conclusion that the right will never support him at all. or perhaps it's election time again and he is breathing fire. let him go jare we need another democrat. a fighter. hillary? (that witch . . )semator brown of Ohio? somebody, anywhere, a real democrat to fight for the left. |
pres-elect:D'you mean these 4 facts are not relevant today? you dont believe it addresses issues from Boko Haram to Hunger and unemployment? |
We are not promising anything miraculous or spectacular. But what we do promise every law-abiding citizen is freedom from fear and all forms of oppression, freedom from general inefficiency and freedom to live and strive in every field of human endeavor, both nationally and internationally. We promise that you will no more be ashamed to say that you are Nigerians. --->major Patrick Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, Jan 15th 1966 isn't it unbelievable that in 2011, these words are so relevant, and the prevailing circumstances at the time for which these words were uttered still remain unsolved and indeed have increased in magnitude. |
@jesoul why dem go murder me so that God can save others? I be Jesus? ![]() God is omnipotent and he can save thousands of lives without the death of dear pres-elect ![]() |
All my life, I have wondered why some prayers are not answered. I have read of many conclusions here, good attempt. But it doesn't answer my question.(actually jesoul's question adopted by me) you didn't ask right? Says who? What d'you mean, ask right? a married woman without a child asking for a child, is it not a right prayer? Abi she suppose do ceremony before the prayer? Ask and it shall be given. Was there any fine prints there? Any hidden conditions? A student praying to pass his/her exams after studying very hard, how else una wan make she twist her mouth for the prayer?some even add fasting join am. We are human, we can never be perfect, so the idea of past sins or not living right are hard to swallow. Now obviously xtians must live like xtians. I don't expect to fornicate and come here to scream unanswered prayers. I'm talking of true xtians who live in a Christlike manner having unanswered prayers. I know of a friend in medical school, who laboured for over 7yrs, even repeated one year, I can attest that this guy is clean, no partying, no girlfriend, no alcohol, no smoking etc name it. I'm sure he was a virgin. After almost a decade struggling in med shool, he finally finished his exams, passed, and died. DIED!!!!. I know of a girl, good xtian girl, lost her parents while strugling in medical school, struggled to graduate, finally graduated, started her internship, you guessed right, and died. Good xtian girl from Edo state. I've come to the (sometimes painful/sad/but peaceful) conclusion that I may never know how God decides what prayers to answer. I do my bit--> pray. Then Leave matter to God. I follow the scripture " be anxious for nothing, but in all things, through prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God" I may never know how he operates in choosing which prayer to answer. But I have to pray still. This I know He is God. Has been, and forever will be( wether you like am or not) He loves me, has always, will always( wether I feel am or not) He cares( wether I gree or not) He has plans for me( wether I see am or not) as long as I remain faithful, in the long run, I will smile and I will understand. For now it hurts. So I try to get used to it( how do I get used to frustration). Pray without ceasing, don't let an unanswered prayer stop you from praying again.( failing an exam didn't stop me from reading fo the next afterall) keep knocking on the door. Pray until something happens( either you die or your request is granted or something bigger than your request happens and you damn your initial request) God is real. And Every knee shall bow. Those who are using the frustration of Gods children to mock God will one day bow before the throne of God. Wether you like am or not. QED. |
JamesDoe:hmmmn, I really don't buy this last point. I believe God can catch the robbers in other ways without my murder. If this happens to me, I'll regard it as an unanswered prayer. Hoha , as a matter of fact, when I get to the other side, someone's gonna have to answer some questions which kind life |
O Jesus, tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, you on my mind |
God answers all prayers. His answer varies. 3 categories: 1. Yes child, here it is 2. No child, I have a better plan 3. Wait child, not now. How do I know if it's NO or WAIT? I never know. My response? Frustration, abandonment, insecurity. Have I sinned badly? Did I say wrong prayers? I never know. But let me address some issues here: 1. Prayers are important. Yes, God know all we need even before we pray but he still insists that we must ask. Prayers is like tellin God that you depend on his help to solve a problem. Also that communication with God increases intimacy with HIM. 2. Unlike most Xtians, unanswered prayers don't make me stronger.(lol). They make me weak, I loose faith, get frustrated, blame God, once I almost said bad things about God( I've beenasking for forgiveness since then, the guilt is so heavy on me, and any bad thing that happens to me now I easily trace it to the bad words I used for God) What do I do? No idea. Fortunately, I have no other God. So after all the cursing, I'll come back to my knees. Lol. I hope I helped answer our question( I don't think I helped though ) Have a great day ![]() |
Ify!!! ![]() Ify oooo ![]() onye ma ebe Ify gara ugbua? Ya na onye nokwa now? ifyyyyyyyyyy ![]() |
@tayo good to know you acknowledged your error in the Texas history. I've watched the clip again, in the second debate it was a few voices that said YES( the hypothetical man should die). But in the first debate it was a chilling applause, the loudest in the night, when execution was mentioned. As for darfur, i'm going to concentrate on contributing financially to charities that give to darfur. Since I won't give any more dime to any politician again. I would have loved to help in darfur, but when I mentioned joining doctors without borders to help in then war torn Sierra leone, family members freaked out. Lol. So for now I'm focussing on sending money and not actually going to darfur( also I'm working on a relationship in the UK , lol, She'll disapprove of any move to darfur. it's about time I forgot my two failed relationships and move on ) |
@oguguo88 my respect foebthe tea party is in their style, not substance. These folks campaigned in 2010 on no tax, cut spending etc. They came to congress and did just that. Even at the risk of destroying the nation during the debt ceiling debate. Even when it became so unpopular, even at risk of loosing re-election( For those from swing districts). They stood by their theory. If Obama should loose in 2012, he has only one person to blame- Obama. These folks had 60 seats in the senate, huge majority in the house, goodwill of majority of Americans. What did he do? He came to washington to preach unity. Is he Jesus? Washington has been divided since 1789. Leaders go there and push an agenda. He went there to puh for bipartisanship, and lost a significant portion of his base. But the tea partier are fighters. If you are one of them, you'll be assured that your congressman will fight for you to the end even on pain of political death. That is where my admiration for them lies. As for Ron paul, this guy speaks from his heart. I don't agree with his domestic policy but he say some truths about foreign policy. @tayo no need to debate you on policy. But as for history, read my post again, I said Texas BELONGED to Mexico. You even highlighted it. I didn't say it belongs, but BELONGED. And your analogy is faulty bc while Alaska was negotiated( and perhaps paid for) with the Russians, Texas was taken by force. Arizona was paid for, but many parts of the south west USA was acquired by intimidation. And yes, I strongly believe there is something evil about the republicans. In the first debate the loudest applause came when execution of over 200 people in Texas was mentioned. And yesterday they get excited when a question is asked about a man dying. What kind of people are these? I understand when people are mean, the bible said the hearts of man was perpetually evil, but what gets me crazy is when these evil people claim God. And when people like Ron Paul and Eric Cantor feel that those affected by the hurricane should be on their own without FEMA assistance. And as for being awake, well, I'm in Ohio now. Came to visit my Dad with whom I've been enstranged for about 2yrs now when I rejected a proud silly Virginia girl he badly wanted me to marry. By this time next week I'm in Owerri. Go get me some ugba and okporoko. God save me from evil |
I think those polled have no idea what life is like without available water. They've had water all their life. And it's not an issue for them. Just like very young Americans who have never been to a battle field fantasizing about being a war hero after watching rambo on tv |
Otele a nom ya. Esoghi m mee ogbaaghara na London. Manaanuru m na ejidere gi ebe seven sisters. Owu eziokwu? |
norrisman:as long as they keep reelecting him, it's democracy. The youngest prime minister, William Pitt( the younger) ruled for over 27yrs. As long as they are not rigging the election, it's democracy. Who elected gaddafi? |
I always enjoy listening to Ron Paul. Even though his domestic policy is a disaster of monumental proportions unfit for an animal farm( great foreign policy though) I must confess that I see his speaking from his heart. And he's consistent. However, permit me to recongnize another person I noticed. Rick Perry. He stood by his apparently benign policy towards the Latinos. I wouldn't expect that from a tea partier. And of course he was hammered for it. Lol. But he maintained his Latino policy( I hear Texas is full of Latinos, and that it actually belonged to Mexico). He also tried to vaccinate young girls against HPV. Great idea. Only in America will such a noble policy be criticized. And he apologized for doing the right thing. Am I missing something? |
montelik:this is a foolish moment of difficulty. He chose to embark on a journey he knew quite well would be embarassing and he got embarrased. Now I hear some senators/congressmen won't be attending the speech. His presidency has become a joke. I don't know how else to describe it. This was a promising young man, had the support of a large majority of Americans. This got into his head and he perhaps thought he could perform a miracle in Washington and bring republicans and democrats together. Washington has been divided since 1789 and it's not about to change. Obama went there, instead of doing his thing he went to look for bilateral bills. The only bills where he can get full republican support are bills of war( and little or no democrat support) or if he proposes to drop dead. Lol. Yet he keeps talking of bipartisan bills. Even a speech on the Arizona shooting was criticized by republicans. His approach to Libya, kicking out gadhaffi with no US casualty was criticized by republicans. Yet he keeps talking of bipartisanship. Then he went to fix a speech on republican debate day lol. Even chris rock has not cracked thus kind of joke before. |
uhm, where's this clown again? ![]() the kind of people GOP and the tea party presents. this goat was actually leading in the republican presidential poll as some point ![]() OMG ![]() the donald. ![]() |
see me see wahala o. trouble de sleep, nyanga go wake am up. Obama knows he cant fight the GOP yet he went to ask for trouble. he knows the GOP has fixed their debate on wed and yet he went to request a joint congress speech at the same time, feeling like a tough guy that wants a show down. and before i could sneeze the GOP has already pushed his aside giving him the record of being the first president to be so disrespected by the congress in rejecting(even if temporarily) a congressional speech. this guy really makes me laugh ![]() you know you are weak, yet you pick a fight . . . . and loose quickly . . lol ![]() |
the queen does nothing. absolutely nothing with regards to policy. even the queen's speech which is read at the opening of the parliamentary year is written by the prime minister. she just reads it. her other duty is to sign whatever law parliament passes. she cant even veto them. in theory she can veto, but in practice she never does(actually she cant). so the english royal family ist just there for show. and the show is enjoyable sha. tuorists come from all over the world to see them, as we saw at the last royal wedding |

Montelik you're right though. Can't trust any of 'em. But there is something in Ron Paul that is not ordinary. Jesoul Ron Paul's policies don't make sense to me ( his foreign policy does) but I sure do connect with his style. He speaks from his heart, truth hurts and politicians don't like it but Paul says the truth as he sees it and it hurts his campaign and yet he continues. I'm not interested in their policies though. Obama taught me a lesson. Character us more important than what they are saying. And here again I must confess some respect for tea party folks. Those guys did their campaign, came to DC and voted as they campaigned. Even those in swing districts. They didn't care if the lost elections. Love them or hate them, they showed character. Unlike Obama. |
