wunmi590:For MTN to address the issue, then it must have been news, whether credible or not. |
You guys keep for headies every year. Controversy sells, period. If they don't shake up the industry, how will they maintain their relevance I. this crowded industry? it's easy to forget the headies if you can easily predict the outcome. But their selling point is their ability to create controversy. Like last year, making olamide create a scene, this year making tekno cause a stir. Honestly, they know their craft. Kudos to Animashaun. |
hopefulLandlord:lol but think about it. Do you really want a non-religious world where everyone lives free, no care or recourse of the afterlife? Remember not everyone is enlightened enough to handle that freedom. Do you know how much crimes and craziness we'll have to contend with if all people fear is the law? Honestly as much as I detest the mental bondage and slavery religion has brought upon us, I believe it's establishment was for the purpose of controlling the people and maintenance of sanity in humanity. So when I try to liberate someone's mind and they're so resolute and plugged in, I just live and let live. As long as they respect my stance too. |
Blame the Media I always tell people not only to listen to the news but listen carefully to the news behind the news. Communication is a process. It goes from the Information Source to Source Encoder, Source Decoder, then the final Output. Meaning the Source is the first part of the process, in this case the media or social media. The most vital part being your ability to translate what information is being disseminated. This is dependent on your ability to decode what the source has encoded in the information. This is because the output is dependent on your ability to properly decode the information. We live in the internet age where various information is being propagated by the media and social media. It's very easy to be misinformed as information is no longer regulated. Recently in US a lady was arrested for claiming to have been racially and religiously victimized and abused by Trump supporters. After police investigation she was arrested and confessed she only made up the story because she wanted attention. So many of our opinions and ideologies are shaped by what we are exposed to, be it at home, church, mosque, school or work, media and internet. It is not news that who Information is Power, hence who controls information controls the world. It's also not news that the media is controlled by some highly influential personalities who dictate the information that is being propagated. During the last election, we can all remember how AIT and NTA having been paid by Jonathan and PDP were notoriously spreading propaganda on Buhari. This being the genesis of the wailers. Likewise in the just concluded US Presidential elections both Clinton and Trump camps also spread mind boggling propaganda about each other it became difficult to even know what to believe. So much misinformation permeates the internet nowadays that can mislead undiscerning minds if you let it. In essence, I implore all to ask these basic question when exposed to any news or information; -Who/What is the source? -Is it a credible source? -Does the source have any personal interest they might be protecting with the story? -Who/Where else can corroborate this information? -What am I supposed to do with this information? -How does it affect me personally? They say you're either informed or deformed. But I say it's better to be uninformed than misinformed. |
hopefulLandlord:So much hatred you spill bruh chill. The name is sacred and a beam of hope to many. No need to desecrate the belief system of some if you choose not to believe. Just like you I'm not a strong believer of religion but that doesn't mean I should disrespect it. All I ask if if truly all these religious myths are true why no proof to back it up in our time? |
Airforce1:You try Senior Special Advisor on Happiness and Heart Matters. So it's couples that are happy? Receive sense. |
HBD to the weevil in my beans, the white on my rice, the honey in my Honeywell. Honestly she's one of the few celebrities that tickle my fancy. Her class and grace leaves me befuddled and bedazzled like she's bespoke to my specification. If only I could afford the tfare to gatecrash the party and present her with my presence. ![]() |
There's something about beautiful girls that just brightens your day. |
Dclique:Why Chuddy (her husband aka the main man, aka MMMGuider) never comment on the issue? He's probably on sick bed thinking of the gbese (debt) on his head. Pray he doesn't die of high BP. Mind you, we're not making fun of them just vindicated that's all. Cos honestly we told y'all so. We even remind you say Awoof dey run belle but dog wey go lost... u know the rest. Just take heart ehn. ndo. Pele. |
If you believe these stories you'll believe anything. Why do these things happen in Africa? Cos y'all want to believe cock n bull to justify your spirituality. Without any such stories how church or mosque wan take sell? |
Johnnyessence:Instead of you to go and carry placard and be protesting in front of their office (oh wait they have no office) you're here forming denial. Don't worry by January (actually February) your eye go clear. What part of ponzi scheme don't you get? Wake up! You've been SCAMMED! |
New school rap king. No rapper can claim that title by consensus. It all depends on what criteria you want to base your judgment on. If what you want is conscious rappers that write songs about the streets and societal issues then Cole, Wale and Kendrick got you. For pop rap music that appeals to everybody especially ladies then Drake, Big Sean and Kendrick got you. My best new sch rapper without prejudice is Drake. But to answer the debate, Kendrick over J Cole. |
emmaak2:Nigerians, we love stories. I swear I was so intrigued to know the outcome. But honestly Op u no well.lol |
herzern:No one is better than Messi cos he's not human. Kudos to CR. It's his year/season. |
odogwu190:My bad bruh. Don't mean to be mean but you downplayed the seriousness of the post. |
China for visiting just cos their culture and martial arts are intriguing. For work opportunity I think Canada is the way to go especially for scientifically inclined graduates like me. But for business purpose Germany is the way cosa their cars and spare parts business. Of course for romantic getaway, Dubai is the haven. |
I thought curtseying was supposed to be our culture so why the fuss?
But to talk true this one don pass from salutation to worshipping. |
odogwu190:Everything is a joke to us, that's why we keep suffering & smiling. Try not to lose your sense of humour cos you don't want to face the harsh reality without it. My best guess your parents still clothe and feed you right? |
As a kid- Evil dead and Nneka the Pretty Serpent As an adult- Drag Me To Hell! (scary shi) |
Presently Nigeria is a time bomb waiting to explode. No economy that has experienced what we're going through has left unscathed. The signs and symptoms of our economic malady are alarming even for a conservative physician. Not only are basic needs inaccessible, but the price of goods and services is sky rocketing and at an all time high. NLC used to go on strike whenever Petroleum price hit N100 but now we have to cope with the price ranging from N140-150. Civil servants used to complain when they weren't paid their stipend for a month. Now we have states where public servants haven't been paid for months. We used to be outraged by power outage and fluctuation but now we don't even expect electricity. It's a celebration now whenever we get electricity. Bankers would run to human rights whenever staff were sacked. These days a whole branch is sacked, who are they going to complain to? The labour market used to be saturated, now it's super saturated. Graduates and drop-outs are frustrated the same. Let's be honest, this government has exceeded our elastic limit. Now we have reached our breaking point. The reason there hasn't been a multiplier effect in crime rate beats me. Maybe because Nigerian youth have resorted to their innate entrepreneurial skills or the power of religion. People are still using their "church mind" to follow this country. But it's just a matter of time. When the cost of rice and garri continue to soar. The value of Naira against dollar keeps crashing, ruining business for business men who depend on Forex. Companies that should be recruiting are retrenching due to huge financial losses. In fact most are packing up and closing up shop. When the cost of running the business is not encouraging. Something has to be done fast lest the masses become desperate and lose our last restraint. Politicians keep making empty promises. The Presidency including his Ministers keeps selling us a better promising future when the present isn't reassuring. All I'm saying is we need to start seeing changes because we can only take this for so long, eventually when push comes to shove, there would be a revolution. We the masses will lose faith in the government and take matters into our own hands. Until then we can only wait for the Change they promised before we claim the Change we want. |
wiloy2k8:The extent Christians go to defend their pastors is incredible. |
They might not know it but this is the realest depiction of marriage. The day a man gets married is the day he dies cos his world has he knows it is dead! The woman has taken over his life. See his crew dead too? Cos no more time to Hang out with his guys! |
Op is just curious. Eyin sensors and detectors, there's no malice or envy in the tone of the write up just curiousity. Truly both of you did your bid. But Owonikoko... Olowolayemo. Your cousin's part was quintessential. |
I'm not even a relative yet I feel so embarrassed. She no get family? |
If not for church she'd still be alive. Don't go to church! ![]() |
hungryboy:Please clarify. Do you mean the engineers, the pastor or the spiritual forces? |
Shameless people. When politics becomes a do or die affair obviously they're no longer fighting for the people but their pockets and ego. Amechi- thug Wike- thug Outcome- best thug wins. Evidently when thug emerges as the winner the people should not complain of bad government. |
balanceofterror1:My thoughts exactly. She shot herself in the foot with this one. |
XXLDICK:This news is fake. That picture has been used in a story months ago where she was said to have been kidnapped, murdered and buried before her corpse was dug out. Stop spreading fake news. Lazy hungry bloggers. |
Atiku2019:I don't blame your lot. Only Jonathan knows how much havoc he wreaked on the country. Him conceding to defeat was not an act of magnanimity but cowardice knowing his cluelessness would be fully be exposed to the world. I would easily have forgiven Jonathan since he was just a puppet dancing to the tune of the CABAL but for his present sabotaging and passive aggressive actions working against Buhari's admin. -The inexplicable fiasco in Forex -Funding terrorism in by ND militants -Instigating the Biafra, etc No, he must pay for all these. PMB is just being true to the UN treaty that's the only reason GEJ is not somewhere rotting behind bars. That's why I've always said Nigeria is not yet matured for Democracy. We need the military to sanitize the country for about 2 terms. Democracy should come after. If we keep going like this these powers that be will keep beating the system and frustrating all PMB's efforts. |
I don't see where he said the war is won. OP u smoke? |
Something wrong with the link bruh. wrong format or something. |
