Ihedinobi3:
Hello brother.

Very happy to see that you are continuing to be zealous for the Lord. This is a very desirable thing especially in this age of lukewarmness. I keep you in my prayers and continue to pray the Lord to grant you Grace in the pursuit of spiritual growth and production for the One Who bought you with His Blood.
May the Lord's Grace continue to help you, brother.
Good evening sir.
Thanks.
May God give us more understanding.

Great piece.
Well written.
Reminds me of my blogging days.
Usually, there's reason behinds an artists silence.
There's a myriad possible reasons.

Could be record label and contract issue. Nigeria's music structure needs a Julius berger overhauling.
Could be writer's block. Sometimes artists needs muse. Either a new crush, new hobby, new location, etc.
Could be the artist is trying to find their voice/genre.
Could be family issues, bad press, peer pressure in the industry, etc.
Could also be too much substance abuse got them on a choke-hold (pun intended).

The music industry just like every entertainment industry is not for the faint-hearted. You need a mind of your own, a lot of determination and a lot of humility.
So many artists destroyed their own careers due to disloyalty and pride/arrogance/cockiness.

Typical bush Nigerian man mentality. A woman cannot be successful on her own, she must have had to give “favors”. I really don’t blame you, I blame your faulty upbringing. People like you can never make it in life. It’s not a curse but it’s just reality. Poverty would forever follow you like flies follow the stench of shiit.so beaut.
Women should never allow negative words get to them. Keep being a success.
Congrats to Lilian Esoso aka Nurse Abigail.
Hardwork + Smartwork pays.

Choose diligence over lottery.
Diligence prospers always.
Lottery without diligence is temporary, it crashes.
Diligence is Hardwork.
Unfortunately our generation despises Hardwork, we want to win lotteries, we want miracle breakthrough without putting in work. Even some pastors don't help matters.

Success is a function of Hardwork and skill.
Choose a field, diligently study and master it till you become an expert in it.
Understanding belongs to God.
With God all things are possible.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Choose to be an expert.
Christianity EtcThe Power Of Our Confessions by pressplay411(op): 8:01pm On Nov 03, 2018
We all know what I am about to unveil. But do we understand it?
I received a major unveiling just today, that God had been leading me into all week.
Let us be careful and cautious of the things we say to our selves and others, the things we listen to and the things we share.
Basically let's be sensitive to what we Confess and what we Receive.

Kindly pray in spirit if you can, to prepare your heart for this.
I am equally fearfully praying for more understanding.
May the Holy Spirit help our infirmities and unbeliefs. God help us all in Jesus name.

The Power Of Our Confessions.

This is too deep for me.
May the LORD who alone gives understanding give us understanding by the Holyspirit in Jesus name.
Amen.

The wisest man who ever lived says.

A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:20-21

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour confirms it.

When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
Matthew 15:10-11

It is curious, we all want positive things but often times we confess negative things with our mouths.
God help us all.

Heavenly father help us not to joke with our destinies. Help us not to make jokes while we curse one another.
Help us not to negate our own prayers by own unbelief.
Help us to only believe your Word and not the World.
In Jesus name. Amen.

Meanwhile If you are not following Romeo-wj on instagram.. You are wrong
You're media intelligent.
I'm sure it's a new single, maybe even featuring Davido.

Anyway, Love na scam, if you yourself don't have love.
Love is Real to those who Love Love.

Heart break only happens to us when we haven't Loved ourselves first but seek love from someone else.
To Love yourself, you must Love God first. Only He is Love, knows Love and can teach you Love.
Only then can you truly be in Love and live in Love.
Finding your love will no longer be a challenge because Love has already found you.

I Love you with the Love of Christ.
God bless you.

LOVE does not exist.

It's foolish of one to think it does exist.
As long as you believe Love doesn't exist it will not exist to only you while others are living in the beauty and power of Love.
Truly, what you believe is what you see.
If you believe in God, you will start to see Him in everything around you.
If you believe otherwise, that's all you'll see.

God is Love.
I hope and pray you change your mind sir.

Christianity EtcRe: A Broken And Contrite Heart by pressplay411(op): 5:39am On Nov 03, 2018
Whenever a person is about to be destroyed in the scriptures some thing noteworthy is always mentioned- The person hardens their heart.
Unfortunately we have a lot of hardened hearts in our generation.
More unfortunately our generation celebrates hardened hearts. We call it "Being tough". Real men don't show emotions, Big girls don't cry. Crying is a sign of weakness, etc.
Let us pray as we become intentional in softening our hearts.
That's what it means to be Gracefully Broken.
Only a broken person can show their weakness.
Only a broken person can become humble before God.
Only a broken spirit is penetrable by the Spirit of God. Only a broken heart is usable by God.
Only a broken person can see the kingdom of heaven.
God help us all.
Christianity EtcA Broken And Contrite Heart by pressplay411(op): 5:33am On Nov 03, 2018
Title: A Broken And A Contrite Heart
Song: Change Me - Tamela Mann

Key verses:
For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
Psalm 51:16-17

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Matthew 5:3-4

Prayer:
Lord, we pray that you have your way in our hearts.
Open our eyes of understanding. Give us Light and Understanding as Your Word enters our hearts. Holy Spirit have Your way in us and through us in Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

The Message:
One of my greatest burdens in my heart is to see more people, if possible all, have salvation, experience spiritual and material growth and discover who they are in Christ. To see more people cheerfully following Christ and pursuing His purpose.
To understand how this works is a Grace I keep praying for.

God in His infinite Mercy, who gives unto all who asks, Who is willing to give us the desires of our hearts as we delight in His presence, Who never fails, never lies, never disappoints all Who hope in Him, gave me a deeper revelation concerning this.

I have come to realise why evangelism seldom works. Why people would rather continue with their lives than pay more attention to God.
Nobody likes to change what they have believed for a long time. Nobody likes to change the way they are. Nobody likes to chanhe the way they have been used to doing things. Nobody really likes change.
Yet everyone, even politicians know that what need is Change. What we need is Transformation.
We asked for change from government but we ourselves do not want to change.
The things we expect from government, we ourselves fo not practise. We have become "comfortable" accepting things the way they are.

This is why people want to continue in sin and do not want to hear any mention of Godliness.
It is the reason people listen to sermons, enjoy the message but still do not want to change. It is simply a matter of their heart.
We do not have a broken spirit and a contrite heart.
What is a broken spirit and a contrite heart?
Let us read Psalm 51 in other versions for more unveiling.

Going through the motions doesn’t please you,
a flawless performance is nothing to you.
I learned God-worship
    when my pride was shattered.
Heart-shattered lives ready for love
don’t for a moment escape God’s notice. (MSG)

The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit.
You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. (NASB)

My [only] sacrifice [acceptable] to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart [broken with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise. (AMP)

A broken spirit and a contrite heart is a heart that is no longer hardened. A heart that has become softened and permeable. A heart that is no longer strong-willed. A heart that is ready to change. A heart that is open to new things.

A heart that has come to understand regret, shame and accept it's True Reality. A heart that has come to see that it is hopeless if it continues in its own way.
A heart that has come to realise only God's way is the Truth and Life.
That Righteousness is more profitable than sin.
That God's  Wisdom is more profitable than human intelligence.
That the spiritual matters more than the physica/materiall.
That is the heart God can penetrate. That is the heart that can turn to God for help in every situation and God will know that we are truly dependent on Him. That is the heart that can Repent. To Repent simply means tTo Change.
We do not repent only once to gain salvation. We repent daily, momentarily, periodically to change our old beliefs and accept, trust and obey what the Word of God says.
It is not easy because the flesh is so used to what it is used to. But we have to pray, we have to repent, we have to be intentional to know that we have to kill our flesh by bringing it under the control of our Renewed Spirit and Soul/Mind.
God help us all.

I have a personal testimony.
Recently, I thought I had bern broken. I thought I had a broken spirit and a contrite heart but God revealed to me that I was still hard-hearted on some things.
And the moment I softened my heart, I received the unveiling of a life time.
I hope to share more as I receive more understanding.
Let us never think we know anything. Even what we were taught and we know in the scriptures, let us always be open to newer and deeper understandings. It is a sign of growth and maturity.

If our Lord Jesus Christ Himself could change his mind and "repent", who are we?
I apologise if it seems I just blasphemed.
But truly, He was always open to change His mind. At the inception of His ministry, at the wedding. Christ resisted His mother when she asked Him to perform a miracle. But when He changed His mind, He realised it was time for Him to launch His ministry.
Also the story of the Canaanite woman teaches us this. He outrightly told her His ministry is only for the Jews and not the Gentiles and for this she wasn't qualified for healing.
But when he saw her faith and humility, He had mercy on her and healed her daughter.

Like wise Peter, who was saddled with the responsibility of preserving the Church according to all He learnt from His Master and Teacher, Jesus Christ by concentrating only on the Jews and keeping the gospel from the Gentiles, who the Jews considered to be so unclean.
God had to reveal Himself to Peter in a trance to change his understanding. And because He changed His mind, the gospel was extended and exposed to the Gentiles, Cornelius and his household received the Holy Spirit, spoke in tonges a d even prophesied. Gentiles became disciples.
This single act set the stage for Paul's Ministry to the Gentiles.
It made it possible for You and I (who were deemed Gentiles) to be saved today.

We should never assume we know anything before God. We must see Him genuinely as our Father, if truly we are His Children. And be ready for new and fresh instruction always.
But He will not ever contradict His Word and His nature.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14

Peace, Mercy and Grace, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding to us all in Jesus name.
Amen.

The little things are our greatest testimonies. We just need understanding to appreciate them and become grateful.

Do you know much a cancerous person will pay to have good health?
Do you know how far a mad nan would walk to find Sanity?
Do you know that celebrities will give all they have just to have pace of mind?
Do you know how much a depressed person would give to have Joy?

I see and I have testimonies everyday especially when I don't focus on the material.

The truth is our testimonies should be focused on getting and celebrating the Fruit of the Spirit.
These are the attributes that produce Success and Eternal life.

But we often tend to focus on the new jobs, new houses, new cars, etc. These are great but they tend to become shadows of the real thing, which is our change in attitudes.

I used to be proud, now I am becoming more Humble.
I used to hold grudges and keep malice but now I forgive more.
I used to be lazy, now I am more dililgent.
I used to have a bad relationship with my parents but there's love in our home again.
I used to not like my boss, buy now I truly value and respect her.
I used to get angry easily but now I'm at peace and have more self control of my anger.
I used to be dirty but now I'm clean.
I used to be have trust issues, but now I trust people more.
I used to be shy now I am confident in Christ.
I used to be very fearful but now I am bold and brave.
I used to have a bad memory, now the Holyspirit has given me remembrance.
I used to be stingy, now I'm more generous in church, friend and even strangers.
I used to be stubborn but now I'm more understanding and I listen to other opinions more.
I used to be restless alone and didn't like being single, but now I'm happily single and trusting God for a good marriage.
I used to be envious but now I am too blessed to be stressed. I am focusing on what Gid is doing in my life and where God is taking me.
I used to hate but now I Love.
I used to commit sexual immoralities but now I have self control and now fellowship and study the Word of God more.
Etc
These are all my personal testimonies.

If we look inward and not outward, we will have so much testimonies.
And the truth is, we know it's our habits that have brought failure, struggles and limitations.
It is the change in our Attitude that elevates us and attracts favours into our lives.
But truly only Christ can help us break all our habits.

May the testimonies of God's Goodnes, Mercy, Love and Faithfulness never cease from our mouths and hearts in Jesus name.
Amen.
Christianity EtcBeing Alive Is A Testimony by pressplay411(op): 2:11pm On Nov 01, 2018
Life.
I remember when I had no testimonies. When I saw no testimonies. When it seemed there was no God and I became an atheist.
The greatest insult to me was someone telling me being alive was a testimony and is proof that there's God.
My argument was simply that even unbelievers ate alive without the help of God.
Even animals are alive without serving any God.
I needed big testimonies, miraculous testimonies, I needed to hear that a blind person (that was confirmed blind) received sight. That a mad man was made sane. That a lame person could walk, that a dumb person could speak, that a barren woman gave birth after years of waiting. I needed something spectacular. I wanted the Men of God to part the Red Sea or Rain down fire like Elijah. I needed a prophet to heal Yinka Ayefele and make him walk again. I needed to see Obadare regain his sight. I something spectacular to make me BELIEVE first before I could serve God again.
So how dare you just tell me being alive is a miracle and a testimony so I should be grateful to God?
And trust me, I was very argumentative too.

But truly, when God desired to show me the meaning of life, I realised I had been dead all along, and I never knew.

My pastor teaches the dichotomy or inverse relationship between the spiritual and the physical realms.
What we call life is actually death. What we call death is actually life.

"Yea, I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. For thou art with me."

Truly, having lost the Holyspirit, having lost faith in Christ, I had become dead.
The worst part, I was revelling and feeling special in my own intelligence and freedom from religion/Christianity.

Today, I know better.
I still don't know how and why Grace found me.
But I who was so lost. I who had become reprobate of mind. I who had become blind. I who had become deaf. I who had become mad. I who was dead and loving sin.
I'm ALIVE again.
I see again.
I can hear God speak again.
I have am pursuing righteousness again.
I can Love again.❤

All these He did for me in just a Moment.
The Moment i became Born-again.

A Grateful Heart

1 Chronicles 16:8
Oh, give thanks to the LORD. Call upon His name. Make known his deeds among the people!

Psalm 107:21
Oh,that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness. And for His wonderful works to the children of men.

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Naked we came to this world, naked we shall leave.
We own nothing, we can create nothing. We deserve nothing. Everything we possess, is simply by the Grace of God. God is our Creator and the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is within it.
Be grateful for whatever you have, knowing it was never yours in the first place until God gave it to you.
He gives rain to the righteous and even the unrighteous.

Have you ever given and it was unappreciated?
Have you given your best at your job and felt unappreciated?
Have you felt ungrateful for an undeserved favour from a friend, colleague or even a stranger?
Have you ever been grateful to your parents?

Gratitude is often overlooked.

There is a tendency to grow a sense of entitlement towards our parents and even towards our salary. But is it right?
So many do not even have parents, so many more have irresponsible patents. No matter how little your parents can do appreciate them and appreciate God for them.

I know of a boss who always expects his staff to say "thank you sir" whenever he pays their salary.
Ridiculous right? But he is a man of God as well as a business man.
It was later I realised he was only trying to teach his staff the gratitude attitude.
Even though we did work for our salary, we probably even lost sleep over it, probably lost weight over it, probably even got queried over it. We probably deserve more for the value of service we put in. Truly, there are more qualified graduates without jobs. There are even colleagues of ours that came out with better degrees still looking for jobs. There are more intelligent minds than ours that are now in Psychiatry, all their degree and abilities have become useless.

I heard of a lady who didn't know she had so much testimonies until the Holy Spirit had to probe her for them. She was in a fellowship when a minister overtaken by the Spirit suddenly confronted her to share her testimonies. She even denied having any until the attention forced her to start speaking.
By the time she was through, everyone was wowed at how much God had done for her and is still doing in her life.
Often times we get so accustomed to God's favours and blessings rhat we don't even appreciate them anymore. We should never grow a sense of entitlement.

We should learn to be grateful, even for the little things.
When we thank God for what He has done, He moves even mightily to show off with us in bigger and greater ways.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-17

Prayer:
Father, forgive our ungratefulness. Give us a grateful heart. Open our eyes to see your glory in our lives. Do much more in our lives, that Your name and testimonies will never cease from our lips and in all that concerns us in Jesus name
Amen.

-About Loneliness, Isolation, our Wilderness

One of the greatest misinformation we have been exposed to is that of Loneliness.
When the bible speaks of Wilderness. It speaks of Isolation.
Perhaps the only way God can truly get access to us is through Isolation.
This explains why every prophet or hero in the scriptures had to pass through wilderness or go up the mountain alone.
Yet, the world has made being alone so detestible that no one wants to ever be alone.
Now at this juncture it is important to disambiguate Aloneness from Loneliness.
Being Alone is the state.
Loneliness is the feeling.

The journey through the wilderness is to lead us through Being Alone without the feeling of experiencing loneliness anymore.

How? By being able to hear God. By being able to commune with the Holyspirit.
By being able to stay meditating on His Word and through that Knowing His Will.
By receiving strength and grace to Do His Will.

Yes, He will Lead us through the Paths of Righteousness starting with a Lonely journey through the Wilderness.

Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Israelites, Naomi, Ruth, Elijah, Jonah, the Disciples, Paul and even our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ had to pass through Isolation to come out Refined, Empowered and with Fresh Instructions from God.

We must grow to love isolation. Even though we must not despise a good company.
But the world teaches the reverse. We love company but despise being alone.
Why?
Because we cannot control our thoughts when we are alone.
Only the communion of the Holy Spirit gives mind control which the scriptures calls The Peace of Mind which Surpasses all understanding!

-About Emotions

Emotion is the feeling that prompts our Action and Reaction.
Women are not more emotional than men.
Men have just been taught not to show our emotions.
It is termed weak.
But truly we are all emotional.
And No, it is not supposed to be a sign of weakness. It's part of the misinformation we have to unlearn as we relearn the gospel truth.
Truly emotion is everything.
When externalities govern and control our emotional state, there is a problem.
But when our internal state governs our externalities, we are okay.
Especially when our internal state is built on the only Solid rock... The Word of God.

Do you know that the whole journey of Faith and Christianity is to teach us Self Control?
We were so Self-contolled.
Now in Christ we learn to control our "self."

What Adam and Eve started by disobedience was a consciousness of Self and the disconnection from God's Control.
Of course there are only 2 People who have Control.
You're either Controlled by God or controlled by the devil.
Hence when they disconnected from God, they were automatically and inevitably controlled by the devil.

How does he control us?
Through our consciousness faculty- Our Soul (Mind, Emotions, Thoughts).

Our Journey of Faith is to help us gain control of our Soul (Mind, Emotions and Thoughts) by subjecting it to Control. By subjecting and submitting it to Christ, by reprogramming it with the Word of God.

I am still praying for more understanding on this.
It is too deep for me.

-About Idolatry.

Humans have a way of making idols of any revealed mystery of God.

God always tries his best to prevent this. Knowing the heart of man.
This is the reason Jesus Christ escaped when they tried making him a king.
This was why he rebuked Peter from making an altar/tent on the Mount of Transfiguration.
This is the reason he made the bodies of Moses and Elijah disappear.

Unfortunately, the very fact that the role of Mary couldn't be concealed is the reason certain churches have made an idol of her. Just an observation.

Humans tend to love flesh/physicalities so much. Which is the general origin of idolatory.

As Christians, we must always be conscious and cautious of our carnalities and fleshy inclinations from corrupting God's revelation.

God help us all.

King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived asked God for an Understanding heart.

The difference between a Believer and an unbeliever is simply Understanding.
Although we all hear the same things, our understanding is the difference, we see and perceive differently.

Our perception and petspective is what forms belief.
We can be speaking the same English and saying the same exact thing but we both mean different things. Unless we both share the same perspective.

Understanding is what provides Solution to our problems. Understanding is what provides answers to our questions. Understanding is what informs our choices to make the right decisions.

Only the HolySpirit gives understanding and unveiling. He is the Spirit of Truth.
When the Holyspirit meets the Word of God inside us, He brings understanding that provides Solutions to all our situations.

The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
Psalm 119:130

May the Spirit of Understanding be multiplied in us in Jesus name.
Amen.

Titile: An Understanding Heart
1 Kings 3:1-15

Now Solomon made a treaty with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and married Pharaoh’s daughter; then he brought her to the City of David until he had finished building his own house, and the house of the Lord, and the wall all around Jerusalem. 2 Meanwhile the people sacrificed at the high places, because there was no house built for the name of the Lord until those days. 3 And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places.
4 Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.

9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. 13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. 14 So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”
15 Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

Devil is the God of the under world.. That is NOT his domain,. We are spiritual beings (the same image and likeness as God) dwelling In a human body, death is just decoupling of the body and spirit.. Spirit returns to God and body is buried or cremated according to culture..
I hope to study the book of Job as I pray for more understanding.
Thanks for sharing.

@pressplay411, thank you very much for this testimony. As a dear brother (one I hold as my teacher too) would say, "it is as if we all need to spin our wheels before we start taking the Truth seriously". All of us have our stories. The more mature one becomes in the Faith too, the more we come to appreciate how gracious God is toward us.

Please receive my comments as coming from a brother who is very pleased to have you in this Race as well. Even if we don't completely agree regarding everything, we both love the Lord Jesus and look forward to life in eternity as one Family.

Wisdom and Intelligence are really synonyms as far as I know. Colloquially though, I'll admit that we don't tend to treat them as the same thing today. Wisdom does have that air of mystery and otherworldliness because of the way we use the word today but that is a cultural issue not a literary one. There isn't really a difference as far as I can tell.

I think it is important to point this out because of the way that believers approach issues surrounding understanding spiritual truths and dealing with unbelievers like atheists (you may be familiar with notions of a "head knowledge" and the concept of using natural intelligence/the carnal mind to understand spiritual truths. These are often wrong applications of Bible teachings in 1 Cor 2).

The Bible notes two kinds of wisdom in the letter of James: the earthly kind and the "wisdom from above". The earthly kind is limited to material experience. It only tolerates explanations that respond to the physical senses. The heavenly kind is different, however, and more robust since it is spiritual in nature.

James 3:13-18
[13]Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
[14]But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.
[15]This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
[16]For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.
[17]But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.
[18]And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

There is a wisdom, therefore, which is earthly natural and demonic which only produces bitter jealousy and selfish ambition which result in disorder and every evil thing. It isn't uncommon at all. It is back of all unbelief. You may remember that in your days as an atheist, you were likely very arrogant and puffed up in your mind thinking you knew everything that needed to be known and you restlessly provoked rancour everywhere you were. It is still there today among other atheists.

This type of wisdom can also be found in believers when they fail to pursue spiritual growth and production. In fact, James was not speaking to unbelievers in that letter. It is a wisdom that insists on the earthly. It does not submit to Heavenly realities and refuses to account for them.

Although such an attitude can be found in secular disciplines like science, it is not necessarily synonymous with them. A believer may be a scientist without having a bloated head or an overinflated sense of self-importance. This is possible if they remember that that which can be seen came about by that which cannot be seen so that, in fact, sensual, material experience does not define spiritual reality, rather spiritual reality defines material experience.

The wisdom that is from above is synonymous with the Truth of the Bible. Knowing and understanding the Bible is true wisdom. To understand the Bible is to understand God Himself. And what could be more important to understand than God Himself? Also, if God is so gracious as to enable you to understand Him, then, it only follows that you will be able to put material reality in the proper perspective. Not that you will automatically become a star scientist or a genius of some kind when you become spiritually mature, rather it is that you will have a more robust, more comprehensive appreciation of material existence (which seems to me to be the same thing you said hers as well). And it will make you humble. Note the qualities of this wisdom: "pure, peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy".

Now, I note that there are questions that you humbly admit lacking answers to. Your humility is commendable. Your sensibility too is applauded. But I must tell you too that it is the Lord's Will that we grow in understanding of His Truth so that we know what we believe and can teach those who do not know whether through the actual act of teaching if we possess the spiritual gift or through the way we conduct ourselves. So, please allow me to beg you to make a priority of learning the Truth, the whole Truth of God today, not so that you can sound intelligent and show off your erudition to others (things I doubt that would tempt you that greatly), rather that you will not be threatened by the opinions of men whether believers or unbelievers.

To learn the Truth and grow spiritually and fulfill our ministries from the Lord whatever they may be, according to Eph 4:11-12, we must have a gifted and prepared teacher to teach us. Therefore, I implore you to commit to learning from someone whom the Lord has given the gift of teaching and who has taken the time and diligence to prepare for the very important work of teaching the children of God so that they grow and become thoroughly equipped to fulfill their duties to the Lord in the Church.

Alternatively, you could visit and study under https://www.bibleacademyonline.com.

Here on Nairaland too, I maintain two threads that you will find in my signature or on my profile where I try to provide the Truth to believers just as I too have been and am still provided for.

In my experience, true teachers are far rarer than one might think. I looked in different churches and books and people I came across in life but I only found one after all the trouble. Now I know more than one. But three teachers all told, with churches at literally every corner in Nigeria? I wouldn't knock churches I don't know and pastors I have never met but it seems to me that if believers themselves are anything to go by today, true Bible teaching is probably as rare as water in the desert. So, please avail yourself of these options I have given you. I am sure that there is no regret waiting for you at the end of this road.

The Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ remain with your spirit.

PS. I should elaborate that there is such a thing as "Natural Revelation" which is essentially the natural ability that every human being possesses to understand material reality for what it is: the signature of a Perfect God, a testimony of our sinfulness and guarantee of the inevitability of our judgment. That is, we all have the ability to properly appreciate the world around us whether we are believers or not. This is why even unbelievers can understand Science among other things. They have the ability to and do accept natural truths which are discoverable/discernible to our natural senses. But when they reject God, they essentially disconnect those natural truths from any real meaning. That is what changes for the one who chooses to believe in the Lord Jesus: we come to see natural truths as witnesses to spiritual truths which are of eternal significance.
Thank you sir.
You are an answered prayer.
I hope to keep following your threads.
I am truly blessed and edified.

More Grace, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding to you.

Whatever power Satan has was given to him by God, and spiritual law says, it must be used according to the will of God.. Not outside of it.. There must be an expressed permission from God...
God can not say "let outcome A happens and the devil will come and change it to B, it is a spiritual impossibility...
How then will you explain the Garden of Eden?
Did the serpent change the outcome of creation?

God is not the author of confusion.

Torah was written by Moses after God told him everything that happened many century before him. Before this time there was no record of documentation. If God told Moses that it was Isaac, and the Bible build on the same belief, since it was supported by Jesus Christ, the Apostle and the early Church.
The same God will not tell another person over 3000 years later that it was Ishmael.

My own question will is it the same God that told the two of them different thing?
Apparently not. For God is not man that He should lie.
