Christianity and Islam only makes sense if Satan is equal but opposite to God.. But he is not. Even in our traditional African religion.. Esu or Ekwensu are part of God and not evil...

All these pastors and their loved ones get the best of healthcare and feed you bunkum about faith and all that jargon. High purposes my foot, what is higher in letting people die without sufficient healthcare for thousands of years? If this supernatural wisdom can deliver results, it would have delivered results thousands of years ago.

There's a language veil between us that occured since the tower of Babel. And it is responsible for our confusion.

I'm not going to pretend that I have that answer.
An inkling perhaps.
God is a God of order. God is a God of purpose.
Perhaps it was not time for it. Perhaps the person to fulfill that purpose wasn't born or was distracted by the enemy.
Only God knows Time. Only He knows the Masterplan.
We also have a dream/purpose he has for each of us. But unfortunately most of us are busy chasing our dreams. If only we knew out higher purposes.

The Truth is that Truth is everything we are living for.
To know the Truth about our Existence. To know the Truth about our selves. To know the truth about nature. To know the Truth about How things work and how to make things work through Inventions and Solution-provision.
However everyone seems to have different ideas and ideologies of the Truth. This explains the explosion of various knowledge. This explains Philosophy. This explains Science. This explains Religion.

But for this discourse I will speak on the integral Truth. The Religious Truth.
What is Religion?
Religion by definition is Man's search for meaning of life and understanding of his existence though a relationship with a deity, a super power.

However there are myriads of religions presenting diverse encounters, revelations, ideologies, principles and doctrines according to the Truth of the religious leader.

So which one is the Truth?
How does one identify the Truth?
What are the parameters, criteria and litmus test to confirm the efficacy, validity and integrity of the Truth?

I have been exposed to various religious teachings, doctrines, etc both locally and globally. Thanks to the internet, information is readily available for anyone driven by interest and given to diligence and patience.
I will not delve into the doctrines of other religions. That would prove to be an exhaustive and inconclusive discourse. Hence I will focus on Christianity.

I was born into a Christian home as most of us in this part of the world (Nigeria). As life so happened I lost faith in Christianity and became an atheist.
This I later realised would give me an unbiased unrepentant evaluation and impression of Christianity. I suddenly hated the religion I was raised to love. It suddenly didn't make any sense to me any more. It even made be angry thinking I wasted a significant aspect of my life believing a lie. Or so I thought.

As Grace would have it, I was truthful and humbled my self to realise I was lost without a solid religion. I searched but couldn't find the Truth. I eventually, created a thread comparing Wisdom and Intelligence. God is not without a sense of humour. I will explain this later.
In the course of reading and responding to the comments I came across a comment that hit home.
I realised that intelligence could be learnt but there was something about Wisdom. There was more to Wisdom. There was a mystery to Wisdom. Undeniably wisdom was supernatural. Wisdom could only be God-given.
This humbled me to realise I needed to find Wisdom. I needed this supernatural encounter. I knew I once had it, but some how lost it. I knew I now lacked it.

The truth is, I was honest with myself.
My intelligence was now a shadow of the wisdom I used to have.

I eventually ended up in church again. I eventually humbly started as a new comer, like a baby, to know this God that gives wisdom.
The things I thought I knew about Christianity, I realised I never knew.
I would later understand that I knew the letter, but not the Spirit. As aptly put by the scriptures, the Letter killeth but the Spirit giveth Life.

The rest is history. I finally knew the Truth, and truly as promised, the Truth set me free.

I earlier mentioned the criteria, parameters and litmus test that confirm the validity of a Religion. I will list a few;

It teaches and provides Salvation.
It teaches and provides Peace of Mind.
It teaches and provides Joy and Happiness.
It teaches and provides Righteousness.
It teaches and provides Justice/Equity/Fairness.
It teaches and provides Protection.
It teaches and provides Good health and Long life.
It teaches and provides Assurance and Confidence.
It teaches and provides Love.
It teaches and provides Purpose.

Now what is the Truth?
The Truth is;
You cannot know your true self until you know God.
You cannot know God until you receive the Holy Spirit. (The Spirit of Truth).
And you cannot receive the Holy Spirit until you Believe and Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with us now and for ever more.

To begin it is imperative to have the true definition of lying.

Lie: To give false information intentionally with intent to deceive.
True: Conforming to the actual state of reality or fact; factually correct.

In my little study and observation of life, religion and science, I have come to realise that the most important phenomenon is Truth.
Truth forms the basis and foundation of life. It is how life works. It is the real picture. It is the reality.
Man is always in search for the Truth.
We are all in search of the Truth. We are liberated by the Truth. The Truth gives Solution to man's problems.
Scientifically, the Truth forms the basis of hypotheses theories and inventions. The Truth gives correct knowledge.
The Truth sets man free.

Conversely, Lie, falsehood, forms the basis of ignorance, confusion and frustration.
Just a word of lie corrupts the entirety of a statement/letter/report.

On this premise I would like to observe and present a discrepancy, an inconsistency, a lie in the foundational accounts and reports between Christianity and Islam.

The Torah (Judaism), the Bible (Christianity) and the Quran (Islam) all share the story of Abraham/Ibrahim and his relationship with God/Allah. He, being the Father of Faith and many nations assumes the Patriacal role of root of the family tree of all three religions.

The major bone of contention and invariably the proverbial apple of discord in the different accounts of his story lies in the account of his most significant encounter with God. The story of his calling and the sacrifice of his son.

Judaism and Christianity both report the son Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice as Isaac, his covenant child with his wife Sarah.
Islam however reports that Abraham was asked to sacrifice Ishmael, his son with his wife's slave Hagar.

This begs the question, Who lied?
At this point, it is imperative to remember that Judaism as a religion came first, then Christianity was formed then Islam came after. How come then that the original story in Judaism and Christianity both agree that Isaac was in fact the son Abraham was asked to sacrifice, while Islam came centuries later to claim that Abraham was asked to sacrifice Ishmael?

It is also at this point important to remind us that all of humanity's problem can be traced to a single lie in the garden of Eden.
All the serpent did was twist and alter the truth. He lied to Eve and she believed his lie and today humanity's curse is still prevalent.
Likewise the Pharisees and Sadducees paid the soldiers who guarded the tomb of Jesus to lie and deny seeing Jesus ressurect. This seemingly trivial lie is the reason a majority of the Jews till date still do not believe and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah.

Hence when Islam lied about the story of Abraham and Isaac, it formed the basis of further erroneous teachings in the holy book.

People, they say, perish for lack of knowledge.
Knowledge is only knowledge when it is the Truth.
Truly, people perish due to false knowledge.
God help us all.

It depicts the mind and ambition of religious zealots.

Thallus in a bid to establish Universal Peace goes on a galactic rampage of carnage and cleansing. He spares the lives of a sizeable demographic of each planet and executes the others as a mercy sacrifice.

This is no different from the ambition of religious zealots.
The problem is Thallus became so driven and consumed by the idea and notion of a perfect and ideal universe that he became convinced that he was the one to fulfill it. It was his purpose in life and destiny.

It made him a villain. It made him destructive. It made him a terrorist.

Beware of Religious Zeal that makes you destructive and turns you to a terrorist.

Perhaps the most curious paradox in all this is that Religious Terrorists have a good intention.
They seek World peace.
They seek the fulfilment of God's will.
Unfortunately they believe they have to execute unbelievers to achieve this.

Good Intention + Religious Zeal = Dangerous Weapon Of Mass Destruction.

This brings to mind Judaism. This brings to mind Saul of Tarsus. This is the same Religious zeal that drives Boko Haram and Isis.

The devil/enemy always manipulates God's vision of a perfect peaceful world. The same way He manipulated Eve in the Garden of Eden.

If Islam truly still preaches this, we need to be worried.

Why Buhari cannot stop Boko Haram.

I learnt some time ago a very vital observation about the media. I learnt to read the news behind the news and hear what the news is not saying.
As my pastor would say about politics, "What you hear is not what you're hearing, and what you see is not what you're seeing."
Hauwa Muhammed Liman was recently butchered by Boko Haram. President Buhari reached out to her family and commiserated with them expressing his regret that He tried his best but all his efforts failed.
Which was a nice thing for him to say.
But I was surprised that was all he said.

President Buhari never at any point during the conversation or after express his anger with Boko Haram. He did not at any point express disappointment in the religious reason Boko Haram gave for executing Hauwa. He did not call on Islamic leaders to address the rogue Islamic sect, renouncing the teaching that Boko Haram has made their basis for their heinous crimes and which they cited as the justification for executing Hauwa.
Boko Haram had justified the execution of Hauwa on the basis that Islam teaches the Execution of Apostates, those who choose to renounce Islam. According to Boko Haram, Islam teaches that anyone who leaves Islam to seek Salvation in other Religions is to be executed. Also any non-believer in Islam is an Infidel and should be kept as a slave for life, which they have threatened is the fate of Leah Sharibu, the one remaining Dapchi girl.

You would expect President Buhari to address this. But he didn't, he wouldn't because he simply couldn't.
Why?
Because he agrees with Boko Haram. Because as a fellow Muslim, he would do the same if the need arises. He would likewise execute an apostate and hold captive an infidel.
Buhari is a potential Boko Haram.

You cannot fight what you are. A thief cannot catch a thief. A criminal cannot fight crime. A terrorist cannot fight terror.
A Boko Haram cannot fight Boko Haram.

This is why President Buhari has failed in fighting Boko Haram the same way he fought against Biafra.

God help us all.
God help Nigeria.
God deliver us from Boko Haram.
God give us a President that has no ties with Boko Haram. One that will fight and overcome Boko Haram and every terrorism in Jesus name.

I love religion. I respect every religion.
Any belief system that gives hope and salvation to humanity is worth commending.
But when a religion preaches and institutionalises Death by Execution to it's unbelievers and apostates, is it not worth scrutinizing?
Is it not preaching genocide and slavery.

I have no problem against Islam if truly it doesn't preach this, but if it does, then there is a problem.
If it's followers preach peace but wield daggers and AK-47 then there is a problem.
If it preaches peace but seeks to eliminate every one who doesn't believe in its message of peace, is that peace?

If I am wrong about this, which I strongly wish, I would humbly apologise and speak no more of this.
But if neither the President nor Islamic leaders will decry, condemn and dissociate themselves from the mission and vision of Boko Haram, then my position is validated. This gives credence to all I have unravelled.

This means Islam supports, preaches, propagates and in fact sponsors Terrorism which both Boko Haram and ISIS are heralding and implementing across the nations of Africa and the World respectively.

I wonder if their Khalifah/Messiah is Buhari or Arafat. Perhaps Junudul Khalifa or Abu Musab Albarnawi or Abubakar Shekau or Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi. I wonder if it is going to be Atiku Abubakar or Barack Obama?

It is a curious enigma.
Religion is a promise of Salvation from God.
Yet Boko Haram believes leaving a religion for another religion in search of the same Salvation justifies Execution.

Hauwa Muhammed Liman was executed because she was an apostate. Because she was born and raised as a Muslim but she found Salvation in Christianity.

She had no power of choice over her birth but as an adult, she made a choice that Christianity.gave her peace.
And for this, she was executed.

I have quite a number of friends born into Christian homes who today have converted to Islam.
Should they also be executed by Christians?

If you find salvation and peace of mind in any religion that hurts nobody should you be killed for it?

In the beginning, God created us and we were Perfect, Glorious, Limitless and Full of Faith. We were like God. Genesis 1:26-28
But something happened.
We were tricked, we were lied to. We doubted and disobeyed our God. We started to know sin.
We thought there was something better than what God had freely given us. We thought there was more. We thought he lied. Only to find out the hard way, that He never lies.
So the only instruction he gave us, we disobeyed.
And through one Man and Woman, we lost it all.
We who had everything for free, fell to the curse of struggling and toiling for bread crumbs.
God-man became mere man.

For millennia we remained this way, struggling, toiling and dying daily, until our appointed time.
Our hope of Glory, our Promise of Blessing was finally restored. Our Messiah, our Christ and Saviour was born.
God went to a great length to break all rules, defy all laws and endure all pain, suffering and shame in all humility just to unite us once again. Just to restore us once again. Just to Glorify us once again.
It is no wonder, scientists can never admit the validity of the birth of Christ. It broke all laws, senses and reasoning.
The creator of heaven and earth reduced himself to his creature, to be abused by his creature, to be killed by his creature. Just for him to save and restore his creature and all creation.
What a Mighty God we serve.

As for body spirit and soul. The spirit is greater and controls the physical. The soul is not a separate part but the entire package that is ( spirit+body=living soul)
