Pastors and churches were giving me conflicting ideas. They were confusing church doctrines with the principles of God. So I decided to seek the word of God myself. After all, I am called to work my salvation with fear and trembling. To call unto God. To look up to the hills. To knock on God’s gate. To ask God and I will receive. To ask God for wisdom and understanding from God. So, I did exactly that.

When I go to church, I sit searching the Bible references as the sermon is going on. Often times, I find the pastors trying to twist the words to fit in with their sermons or their point of view. One of the gifts of the Holy spirit is discernment of spirits. It is so important. Even pastors and mostly prophets can be used to make members fall. Peter was used to tempt Jesus Christ, that Jesus called him Satan and rebuked him. Likewise Agabus and other prophets tempted Paul, in order to stop him from going to his place of purpose, thank God he was very sensitive to the Spirit.
Notice, Peter and the Prophets didn't do so out of hate, interestingly, they did it out of concern. Selah.

Salvation is not complete when we limit it to the four walls of the church. It is most effective outside the church. But we need the church and any gathering of saints as a filling station.

I do not go to pastors to pray for me. I pray directly to my Heavenly Father. I don't need a middle man. The lines are open to me directly. Christianity is a personal journey but it is not a solo drill. We all need one another to grow, to correct one another, to impart and impact one another.

Also when I said you carry the same anointing of a pastor, I simply implied we all received the same anointing and baptism of the Holyspirit, Grace and Faith even the same measure as early disciples, in fact the same Holy Spirit in our Lord, Jesus Christ. The only difference is our time and commitment which determines how we grow our Faith through the Rhema (revelation by the Holyspirit).
If you spend more time building your intimacy with the Holyspirit and you let Him teach you the Word as you meditate, You can even outgrow your own pastor with time. But you will need a superdose of humility lest pride sets in and you fall.

In the same Mathew 23 you quoted, Jesus criticized the religious leaders of his days. As Christian’s are we not supposed to be Christ like? Why would we not say an act is wrong when it is being perpetuated by a religious leader? Why do people keep quoting touch not my anointed without any understanding? Who is God’s anointed? This is beyond your mandate as priest. Priests are not king makers, just preach and pray for them and let the counties run their affairs. In the same way, we should also allow politicians to play their politics and steer clear from the endorsements of candidates. Nigeria operates a democracy and not theocracy. We must therefore be mindful to preserve the integrity of the Catholic church.”

I used to see the old testament as Judaism and New testament as Christianity.
A very subtle yet powerful bondage and veil.

Tithe is not what pastors should focus on. There are more important doctrines in the gospel than tithing. When you save a person's soul, you don't have to keep preaching tithing for him to know it is for his own benefit.

The Gospel is for Salvation of Souls and Godliness.
This establishes God's Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Though I'm irreligious, I believe without any shred of doubt that God exists (not the gods of religions).

God or nature sees nothing as right or wrong, good or evil, up or down, light or dark. All these are relative depending on one's frame of reference or ethical standard.

There is no right or wrong. But Karma, the law of cause, is universal unlike concepts like right and wrong that are relative and vary in definition from one to individual to the other, from one nation to the other, from one culture to the other.

What a detailed explanation! Whoever is defending Freez or whatever he calls himself should know by now that he himself is anti-gospel. Firstly, he was asking God to punish a creature of his hand while the same Bible he has been misquoting says we should love our enemies and pray for them that hate us. Secondly, other than misquoting the Bible, there's no evidence of him being inspired by God to interpret the Bible.

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 7 clearly God was addressing the worshipping of the temple/church as an idol. Jeremiah 7:3-4
He was emphasizing that true worship is not the church but Godliness, the expression of good judgement, standing for the liberation of the oppressed, not committing evil, etc Jeremiah 5-11

Finally the answer to your question lies in John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Now this didn't stop Jesus from preaching at the synagogue. He wasn't telling people to abandon churches.
He came to teach us that we can carry the church every where because we are now the church.

To conclude worshiping God is a personal journey of faith but it is not a solo drill. We need each other.
We are called to be workers in His ministry.
