That is usually the causality. Our generation is blessed with the curse of knowing him too early and encountering him religiously. Not being properly discipled.
Yes, you once experience the Holyspirit when you believed in Jesus Christ. But because you continued in sin, and loved sin more than righteousness you grieved the Holy Spirit continuously until He (being Holy) could not dwell in you (being Unholy).

You became like King Saul who received the Holyspirit when he was anointed King.
But became troubled, restless no longer at ease, after he disobeyed God and God withdrew His Holyspirit.

That is the state that befalls a lot of us who were introduced to Christ but not truly taught of Him, taught to love Righteousness and Holiness that is given by Grace and continuous intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

There's so much more I wish I could share with you.
But I hope this touchrs your heart. I hope it does not cause you to further continue in rebellion.

I was particularly fascinated by your story since you experienced God, spoke in tongues, even performed miracles. But along the line, some disappointments came that shook your faith.

It's in a similitude to a kid's fear of his dad. That alone gives the kid confidence over every other person's dad.

The fear of God is truly the beginning of wisdom. And wisdom is the principal thing. Every other thing in life is predicated upon proper application of Wisdom.

Fear God and become Fearless. Cos fear is the only thing keeping most of us grounded in life. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, even fear of success, fear of disappointment, fear of heart break, fear of travelling, fear of village witchcraft, fear of dying, fear of sickness, phobias, etc.

The fear of God truly conquers all other fears.

The Spirit is indeed One.
God has been dealing with me about Fear lately. So as soon as I came across this message, it really resonated with me.
And I believe it will richly minister to us all.

Fear is the direct opposite of Faith.

Also Doubt and Unbelief are as well the direct opposite of Faith.

As long as we still live in fear and doubt, we will not be able to maximize our Faith, we will not be mature as Christians and we will not be able to please God.
Hebrews 11:6

Our fears, doubts and Unbelief limit God's manifestation. Limits our potentials as Christians, gives room for the enemy to taunt, deride and ridicule us.
Even Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour could not perform miracles in his hometown because of their unbelief (due to familiarity).

Fear, Doubt and Unbelief have kept us grounded for too long.
It's time to break this yoke of fear grounding us from chasing our dreams and confronting our challenges.
It's time for us to TAKE OFF and LAUNCH OUT!

Time to BREAK EVERY FEAR still holding us back.
The only Fear we are allowed to have as Sons and Daughters of God is the Fear of God.
So let us Fear God, and become FEARLESS AND VICTORIOUS!��

What are your fears;
Failure? Rejection? Negative Criticism?....

FEAR is like a cage that keeps one locked up for as long as we allow it.

FEAR has kept a lot of people from reaching their peaks and others from fully expressing their skills and potentials.

FEAR will give you one-thousand-and-one reasons why your next step of action will fail.

FEAR will remind you that you are 'risk averse' and make you continue to tow the path of least resistant.

FEAR will remind you of every time you have failed. It will show you how you can't succeed and why others who succeeded are better than you.

It will explain the meaning of ' Once Bitten Twice Shy'. You have failed once and shouldn't try again.

FEAR will make you doubt your abilities and remind you of your weaknesses.

FEAR will make you sit comfortably on a spot and will make you dread the thought of failures.

FEAR will tell you to wait for a perfect time to start.

FEAR will prevent you from taking on challenges. It will highlight the risks involved in a particular venture or project and will justify why it is better to maintain status quo.

FEAR will prevent you from writing that book, launching that product/service, applying for challenging roles, executing that project, writing that professional exam, starting that business, giving that relationship a trial, taking on that opportunity, going on that trip, reaching out for help.....

FEAR will always make you admit your incapability and encourage you to accept it as fate!

If only we can take on the challenge and wage war against fear.
If only we could see the potentials inside of us.

I admire him for one thing. He's resolute in not hiding his nature. One would expect him to at least for election purpose dance to the tune of the people, viz appoint a non-northerner as the new DSS head. But No, he stood his ground.

I used to be a supporter of Buhari, I went as far as campaigning blindly and voting for him.
Before anyone judges us, let's remember the indices surrounding our choice of Buhari.
-Our Foreign reserves had been depleted.
-Nigeria was at the brink of recession
-NOI had expressed her fears that Nigeria was broke
-The level of indiscriminate Corruption and Insecurity had become alarming.
-PDP has proved a colossal failure and an elitist party with little or no regard for the plight of the masses.
-Nigeria had suffered a major diplomatic and global damage as corrupt, unsafe, worst economy, etc.

We were desperate for change.
We could not continue with GEJ, the only other option Atiku could neither be trusted as he was part of the PDP elites that ruined the economy.

Leaving us to a supposedly rigid, Anti-corruption, strict alternative. We believed what we needed was someone with a track record of strictness, Anti-corruption and anti-elite. Some one for the masses.
APC capitalised on this vacuum and selling this image for Nigerians was a genius strategy. Capturing both the youths via social media and the elderly via campaigns and rallies.

Now it is obvious things fell apart along the line. Like one desperately in need of a cheap expensive phone who excitedly pays only to get home to open his new well packaged box of "Fufu."
Yes, we were duped.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, what we are getting from the Buhari led APC govt is far from what we bargained for. We can choose to blame the past govt but some of his own decisions have not only exposed his bigotry and stark ineptitude to run the affairs of this challenging nation. His health is another Achilles heel we were blinded to. Truly, desperation and love are blindening.

At this juncture, it would be nothing short of stubborness to commit the future of this nation into the hands of Buhari for the next 4 years. Why? Odikwa risky. O lewu, it is a dangerous thing.

I will not insinuate candidacy, but let's perform our due dillifence as voters with the knowing that we are commuting our lives, families, futures, means of livelihood, businesses, safety in the hands of the incoming president, governors and legislators.

Please, we can't be ignorant, biased, selfish, divided and childish about this anymore.

I'm not married but here's my 2 cents.
I'm glad you realise and accept you were wrong. No excuses about that, marriage is anyone's biggest decision in life so no one wants to feel manipulated into it. Hence your husband's grievance.
Truly his taken it overboard by asking you to quit your job cos that's just him trying to get back at you. Please don't quit your job.

There's only one solution.
You both can't settle this between yourselves anymore, you need a 3rd or 4th party.
Have you tried marriage counselling?
Does he have someone (dad,mom, uncle, best friend, mentor, pastor) he highly esteems? You need to involve the person, do not hide any details but don't paint him bad either.

Now everything in life starts from the spiritual. You need to start or intensify your prayers. If there's anything a woman must never take for granted in marriage, it is prayers. Not just a religious prayer of meeting pastors and prophets but a personal relationship with your creator, an intimacy with the Holyspirit to give you guidance and direction in your marriage, business, parental duties, etc.
If you have not been close to God lately for any reason, I believe that's where you should start.
Everyone who holds on to God is not ignorant or desperate but humble to know that there's a God behind all this existence, and they need Him. Jesus is the Solution, Panacea and Immunity to all problems.

I believe doing these with certainly turn your worry to a testimony soon, and your concern will end with a concert.

I am not a Jehovah's witness but I think it is their belief that blood is sacred and represents life and therefore should not be transfused. The belief emerged in 1945 (it wasn't there from the onset) and it is based on their own interpretation of the old testament.

They even proposed a scientific reason for it and explained why the various parts of the blood should not be transfused.

Personally, I see the belief as a baseless one because bloodless surgeries, which they advocate for, is impracticable in many medical operations and blood is vital to counteract the effect of bleeding and some other ailments. It is scientifically illogical to refuse blood transfusion. I cannot count how many have died due to this belief. The one that remains evergreen in my memory is that of a jovial, jollygood uncle who was plagued by diabetes and cancer. He needed blood badly but refused to get any. He said Jehovah will heal him. His congregation and immediate family were trying to seek alternative treatments abroad which may not require blood transfusions but they found none. He later died a slow, agonising death.

To address the issue, this is basically a religious belief, even though absurd, and should be treated as what it is. We need not understand the rationale or probe the illogicality of it. Since they believe it and it is ultimately their choice what to do with their lives, we have no choice than to respect their beliefs and wonder in amusement from a distance. As with all other religious beliefs and superstitions, probing into them will ultimately mar our perception of the adherents since many of the beliefs are antithetical to commonsense.

For starters they are of the belief that Righteousness is by works. But the scriptures clearly states otherwise.
Righteousness is by God's Grace given by our belief in Christ, and by our Faith in Him.

Faith Comes By Hearing

All this fuss over "Lifeless."
Much ado about nothing.
Even the Nigerian presidency asserts that President Trump never made such comment.

The enemy creates a false news, spreads this information, magnifies and exacerbates it till you have no choice but to think it must be true. Eventually it becomes your truth.

The same way the enemy has fueled our minds and beliefs with lies about us. Telling us we are weak when we are strong. Telling us we are poor when we are rich and blessed. Telling us we are sinners when Jesus Christ already made us Righteous. And telling us we are ordinary men, when God says we're gods.

Beware of who you're constantly listening to.
Every word is a seed that germinates with the manure of persistency and constant repetition.

Just as Faith comes by hearing the word of God, so does Fear come by hearing the world.

Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I posted a prayer on my FB account and some one commented that I was lying and teaching others to do the same.
A conversation ensued and this was what I was led to share in response to him:

I was busy, and couldn't engage you earlier.
But truly, I understand you because just last year I was still an atheist. So I have questioned and argued along that line until Grace found me and I found Grace in the Lord.

Christian Life is all about Faith.
But what is faith?
Growing up we were raised and taught that Seeing is believing. This is how the world operates.
But Faith is the opposite. Spiritually, the reverse is the case.
You just have to Believe first, and that's when you will begin to see it happen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

As an atheist then, I couldn't believe God truly existed because I was looking for a proof first, I wanted to see. No matter how people tried to preach to me, it was all efforts to futility.

Until God really caught me in my own craftiness.

He catches the wise in their own craftiness,
And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them. Job 5:13

I am a very sense-conscious and mind-power believer. I believed the mind was the most powerful thing and for one to succeed in life, he only needed to understand his mind and have a grasp of its control.

God eventually made me realise that while the mind was indeed powerful and could make one as intelligent and intellectual as possible, only He gives Wisdom. And I realised Wisdom was superior to intellect.
This humbled me and eventually led me to seek His wisdom.
It didn't really make sense to me then but now it does as every thing began to unfurl.

Truly, all you need is Faith.
You just have to first believe that He is. He is real and all the bible says is real and true.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Only knowledge brings Salvation, brings Light, brings Truth.
When you Know, then and only then you are saved.
Knowledge indeed is Power.
Power over Ignorance, over, sin, over sickness, over Poverty, over Failure, over restlessness, worries and anxiety, over fear, over wars, over death.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

The day you Know you are that blind man that Jesus healed and restored His sight, that you are that lame man that was stagnant and Jesus healed and he could walk, that mad man at Gethsemane that had a legion of demons that Jesus set free!
On that day, You are Set Free!!!

Oh the sweet peace of the presence of God whenever David played the Harp for King Saul. Imagine if only King Saul could have the Holyspirit again.
All he needed to do was humble himself before God.
All he needed to do was ask for forgiveness.
All he needed to do was submit to the Lordship of God.

Are you ready to humble yourself before Him?
Do you know that you need Him?
Are you willing to overcome Sin?

Just say this prayer in all humility and sincerity.

Heavenly Father I have sinned. I have been weak. I have disobeyed you and strayed away from you. Father Forgive me, have mercy on me. I need You in my life, I submit myself completely to you Jesus Christ, My Lord and Saviour. I believe you are the only begotten Son of God and you died for my sins and you ressurected to give me Victory. Thank You for your Grace, thank you for Your Peace, thank you for your Joy, thank You for your Mercy, thank You for your Love. I could never earn it, I don't deserve it but you Love me any way and every way. I Love You will all my heart today and for ever more. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Oh the sweet peace of the presence of God whenever David played the Harp for King Saul. Imagine if only King Saul could have the Holyspirit again.
All he needed to do was humble himself before God.
All he needed to do was ask for forgiveness.
All he needed to do was submit to the Lordship of God.

Are you ready to humble yourself before Him?

Heavenly Father I have sinned. I have been weak. I have disobeyed you and strayed away from you. Father Forgive me, have mercy on me. I need You in my life, I submit myself completely to you Jesus Christ, My Lord and Saviour. I believe you are the only begotten Son of God and you died for my sins and you ressurected to give me Victory. Thank You for your Grace, thank you for Your Peace, thank you for your Joy, thank You for your Mercy, thank You for your Love. I could never earn it, I don't deserve it but you Love me any way and every way. I Love You will all my heart today and for ever more. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
