Seriously, to me the bank job isn't worth holding you down here especially as it isn't your desired career...Don't go and kill your first class and engineering dream in d bank.... ![]() Besides, you can still get a bank job when you're back as they recruit everyday!! (Except age isn't on your side).. Take the Thailand risk/opportunity, make good grades...I believe opportunities better than that of the bank will spring up.... All the best. . ![]() |
Hmmm, people now mention divorce at the drop of a hat ... op, even though I don't support your wife, I'm tempted to think you are eyeing someone else outside ![]() Because your reason for divorce is so ridiculous ![]() All the best shaa... |
bicmitchum:What's the possibility of deferring your admission? Nxt yr isn't really far. .. if you can defer, then it would just be perfect. .. But if you can't, you'll be faced with whether you can still get this sort of admission next year? You may eventually settle for a 'lower' school or not even get admitted at all...really a dicey situation... ![]() if you can't defer, I think you should take the risk...why? - You seem to really have the desire to further and doing that will give you some self - fulfillment.. - You said work here is boring already. . You need more exposures. . - Canada is a good country and immigrant-friendly, it's worth the risk.... you have the opportunity of a permanent stay(which you also desire) and I also feel that studying at the NO 1 School in the country will very likely open doors for you over there.... - You can still survive 'somehow' in Nigeria if Canadian permanent residency fails.. Most times we really have to go outside our comfort zones, take risks eettcc to achieve greater heights. . Then, hope you can sponsor yourself COMFORTABLY while still having some savings; wouldn't advise you empty all your accounts for this quest.... I really wish you the best... ![]() Lalasticlala , help him move this thread to the front page so that he can get more opinions. .. |
itsy:Hmmmm, this one is strong oo.. so we still have men who want FULL housewives ![]() Nne, you both have to reach a compromise, can never advise you stay at home PERMANENTLY.. . NEVER! You can convince him that what you'll do wouldn't be detrimental to the family; you can find something flexible to do.. Promise him that, if the career comes in the way of your family, you're willing to stop... Just find a way to convince him... you really need to be adding value to yourself no matter how little. .. But seriously, this is something you both would have discussed before marriage. .. Nothing like marrying someone you've same values with. .. All the best.. |
What kinda of career do you want to pursue exactly? ? Be more explicit ![]() Also, does it mean your husband wants you to be a housewife for life or what? What suggestions did he make? ![]() |
Can you comfortably sponsor yourself for the MSc while still having some extra savings? If yes, then pursue your Msc now that you've got the time and still somewhat young. . Soon, family et al will beckon with increasing age and you may find it really hard or impossible to achieve the academic excellence you crave. .. There's also a high probability of obtaining a permanent stay in Canada as they're immigrant-friendly at the moment... Even if you end up not getting a permanent stay in Canada (which is unlikely anyway), I feel you can still get opportunities in Nigeria with your years of experience and academic excellence. . So I will say, take the risk and explore! You'll survive somehow! ! However, I really wish there's a way you could keep down your job here while testing the waters in Canada .. when are you due for study leave if I may ask? |
Gaily04:What part of Port-Harcourt please? is her price affordable/fair? |
Bisjosh:Nairaland men need the explanation. . They've all been making noise about low budget wedding, how they can't spend more than 100k etttcc on a wedding bla bla bla.. so they should come and take some clues from the op ![]() Wish you a wonderful marriage op ![]() |
OMG , this is so sad Rest in peace lil ones ![]() |
Amhappy:Concerning this sleeping position, I sleep anyhow I find comfortable... Baby will be fine...I believe if I position comfortably, my body system will function comfortably too irrespective of position ..However, instead of sleeping on the right alone, you can be switching positions. .. Asked my mum and she knows nothing about sleeping on the left side? Too many rules these days .. Do people in the village, less privileged ettcc practice this sleeping on the left alone and them dey born more than 5 ![]() Sleeping on one side alone is just so hard ![]() |
enque:If you want to eat peppersoup, I will advise you make it yourself so as to add everything moderately. .. then you need to exclude uziza seeds... |
TeeAL:Did you make atleast a 2-1 in your first degree? Cos that's a major criterion in getting called for most entry level jobs... Cc : praxs |
^^^^ Hahahahahhahah... ![]() Won't be surprised if the op cheats on his wife because most cheats are always so suspicious of their partners.. I hope things get better in their marriage shaaa.. they should just settle outside nl.. |
This is what happens when one only derives pleasure from s*x ... People need to know that there are other ways of getting pleasure/satisfaction outside sex ![]() So insensitive of your husband, still demanding even though he knows you haven't fully recovered .. if he disturbs you again, call your doctor to talk to him... mtcheeew, don't jeopardise your health because of your husband's selfishness. . What happens when you have something to do outside the home for months ![]() He needs to find other ways to get busy... |
If you're hungry, needy or whatever, I can give you food from my house... Going to your house to cook for you is beyond me.. ![]() |
moscod20:Hmmmm, don't really know what to tell you again.... just follow your instinct. . Then, don't be scared of meeting targets at Sterling, I believe if you could do well in marketing at Leadway assurance, you can do this too since they're almost same... insurance even seems harder. .. All d best.. |
freelance777:The guy stopped calling that last year as she said... and it seems the chat in ur op is the only chat they've had..watch her and see if she continues communicating with him... Also, Just look at all the assumptions you've made from just a single sentence Mehn you're so sensitive and overly serious. ... it's ok to be concerned about your wife's attitude but this your own seems so unhealthy. .mbok ![]() Don't even want to talk about the response you gave your wife, so harsh. . You really need to loosen up... All the best. .. |
Concerning your questions, yeah many ladies give out their numbers to avoid the guy(s) following you around and pestering you. .. with the intention of blocking or ignoring his calls afterwards hoping the guy gets tired and stops calling etccc....this is for the singles anyway. . As a married woman, I will sternly tell you that I am not an irresponsible married woman. ... I don't give out my number now no matter how much the pressure is. ... Then concerning her reply, I don't see anything wrong with that... you should loosen up a bit and stop being too sensitive Op... if I tell my husband something like that, he will laugh and jokingly tell me to give him back his "precious" phone.. or simply tell me to go and buy one that can be stolen na ![]() You just have to tell your wife to cut whatever communication she has with the man, simple. .. When she fails to do this, then that's when you should get bothered. .. All d best.. |
Oga, the bride's family is in the best position to tell you the requirements. .. All the best... |
moscod20:I will say remain where you're. . Why?? 1) Still same financial industry 2) Still same marketing 3) you're already doing well at leadway 4) Pay is better at Leadway too 5) Good work-life balance. . Ettcc Also, thought Sterling pays their graduate trainee 180k, why are they offering you 150? ![]() I really don't see any reason why you should move to Sterling? Or is there something you ain't telling us? ![]() |
OMG , accept my sympathy bro... really so sad Can't even imagine that How a patient could fall to the ground, remove her clothes ettcc and no hospital worker noticed is just so sad. . Even the nurse you left to care for her ![]() May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss, it's well bro.. |

Nawa oo.. full grown men are now being likened to kids? Has it become that bad? ![]() |
Nothing wrong with dating a 'broke' guy as long as he's ambitious and promising. . Together, both of you can help each other attain your goals.. However, he must have something doing, no matter how small, before thinking of marriage. .. |
Happy birthday. . God's blessings. . |
