FamilyRe: Royal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton In Labour by PrettySpicey(f): 6:36pm On Jul 22, 2013
I'm glad we are doing the "Royal Watch" here in Nigeria too. I mean why not! With the Child Marriage Bill disaster on one hand, the Political Chaos on the other ... what have we got to worry about!!!

Over a hundred and thirty million babies are delivered yearly worldwide, and really over three hundred thousand daily. Yet ''one woman' being in labour is news because she is royalty ... hmmm.

Okay now. Let's keep watching shocked

FamilyRe: Bride-to-be Attempts Suicide After Fiance Called-Off Their Wedding by PrettySpicey(f): 4:57pm On Jul 22, 2013
There is a clear picture of lack of character, self-esteem, value of life and fear of God here.
Much as we all might pity her, that is all she'll be getting 'pity'.
What happened to her was not just hurtful and heartbreaking, it was also humiliating but that is the bitter pill called 'life'.
We should all remember: 'Tough times don't last, Tough people do.'

RomanceRe: Are ALL Called To Marriage? by PrettySpicey(f): 10:25pm On Jul 19, 2013
First of, I do not think marriage is meant for everyone. Marriage is a sacred union which must be entered into of the free will of the couples.
I think that the parents should chill and let her be.
No good will come of a marriage that is forced on her.
But she too has to be understanding, her parents stand is expected ... This is Africa after all.
Christianity EtcRe: Christians, How Often Do You Read The Bible? by PrettySpicey(f): 1:55pm On Jul 14, 2013
I would say Monday to Saturday as Oga hubby and I use The Word for Today booklet for our morning devotions.
But on a personal level, I fail woefully. Must try to improve, really.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Don't You Eat Before Church? by PrettySpicey(f): 7:36pm On Jul 07, 2013
Personally I don't eat because as a catholic I love to break my Sunday fast with Holy Communion.
But it's also a kind of an unwritten rule in my home.
Christianity EtcRe: What You Wear To Church Really Matter? by PrettySpicey(f): 7:10pm On Jul 07, 2013
I do believe it does certainly matter how you dress to church. The church is the temple of God, the Most High and how we conduct ourselves in His Presence is of the utmost importance and this begins from our dress code. Besides that, if you are a woman you have the sanity of your Pastor/Priest to think about.
But in any case since we are always in the Presence of God, I also think that how you dress at all times matters.
FashionRe: 11 Things You Need To Throw Away by PrettySpicey(f): 7:06pm On Jul 07, 2013
HotNaijaBabe: I throw things away a lot. You can not find any stray paper in my room..It has become a habit. After my exams each semester, I throw my notes away and give my Study Materials out( I pray not to fail and I always pass cool ).

#If we have 100 people like me in the world, there won't be anything like History oh cos I don't hoard. Once anything gathers dust. I dispose them. Because of this, my mum banned me from entering her room! undecided
If I knew you too, you'd be banned from my room. Lol. But do take it easy with the 'throwing away' memories are not a bad idea sometimes
FashionRe: 11 Things You Need To Throw Away by PrettySpicey(f): 7:00pm On Jul 07, 2013
How completely true. We just seem incapable of letting stuff go. As a matter of fact we only got rid of our old black/white TV after my dad died and he died in 2002. Lol.
The shoes/clothing factor is always hard for me, unless by some inspiration from the Holy Spirit I decide to give them out to someone else. But really they are just eating up space and making the whole place look all cluttered and messy.
Hmmm, maybe this weekend I'll think about getting ridding of some not so useful items wink

RomanceRe: BED ROOM DUTIES IN Marriage-(for Married People Only) by PrettySpicey(f): 6:58pm On Jul 06, 2013
Lol @ rib cracking comments.
But thinking about it seriously though, I do think that at times couples can be on a "sex" timetable without even knowing it.
I mean like when weekend sex is a given or when charting for a baby.
But nothing beats spontaneity though.

FamilyRe: Why Do Women Remain In Terrible And Abusive Marriages? by PrettySpicey(f): 12:01pm On Jul 05, 2013
When you are being abused in whatever manner - physically, emotionally, sexually and psychologically - the very first thing that gets taken away from you is your self-esteem. By constant abuse and neglect you lose your self-respect and your faith in you. And with that gone, you actually believe yourself incapable of doing anything 'right'.
You then begin to believe that you don't deserve anything good, you arrive at a time when you believe that you even deserve the abuse - some kind of inexplicable punishment for wrongs done.
So, it is not mostly and basically financial insecurity, fear of being alone, societal pressures and opinions, love for your abusive partner and in some cases not even the kids, that keep you in that relationship.
Often times it is simply FEAR. Fear that he will find you, possibly hound you all your life, fear that there can be no hiding place for you.
Most women secretly crave the freedom but are so damaged they don't even believe they deserve it and they can do it.
Believe me, there is no amount of money that can comfort your battered body, heal your broken heart and restore your trampled self-esteem.
RomanceRe: Must Your First Love Be Your True Love ? by PrettySpicey(f): 11:50am On Jul 05, 2013
Not that I completely understand the first love concept given that I consider Oga Hubby my first and only love (and this is not in a bid to sound good or something, he just is), but the fact that the first time you experienced love at maybe 18, does not mean that that particular person is and will remain your true love.
I do believe that your true love is the one with whom you share so much and have so much in common and truly loves you back.
That's my take.
NYSCRe: Woman Crippled By NYSC Camp Commandant by PrettySpicey(f): 4:36pm On Jul 04, 2013
We have no human rights whatsoever in this country. How can a corps member be so attacked and wounded and nothing is being done because the attacker is an army officer?
What protection then does this country have for corps members they send out to different places?
Anyway, he may be escaping the punishment of man but can he escape the just punishment of God?
Science/TechnologyRe: Retired Zookeeper Eaten By His Tigers As He Tried To Feed Them by PrettySpicey(f): 4:18pm On Jul 04, 2013
What fate is being decidedhuh
Wild animals' fate has long been decided by God when He meant them to live in the wild, far far away from humans.
These 'cats' are not pets but wild animals. They are not to be domesticated but to be left in the wild.
Poor man, anyway.
Science/TechnologyRe: How The Human Face Might Look In 100,000 Years by PrettySpicey(f): 11:29pm On Jul 01, 2013
Well good for them. Since I'd be dead by then, I guess its ''go crazy white people!"
I don't get how knowing what humans are likely to look like in a 100,000 years helps us live better now. Nonsense!

Foreign AffairsRe: Are Nigerians Actually Happy People - Myth Or Fact by PrettySpicey(f): 11:08pm On Jul 01, 2013
Of course we are happy people!
Though we have no reliable electricity from PHCN - Still we've got our Japan generators giving us light when we need it.
And though we can't get adequate water from the Water board - Still privately dug boreholes/wells are doing just fine for us.
And since we can't get jobs - some of us have 'lazily' turned to kidnapping to make ends meet and the rest of us 'conscientious folks' are doing some meagre jobs or small business.
Did I forget? With our educational system falling more and more yearly - Miracle centers are on the rise and JAMB cut off mark reduced.
And need I talk about the state of our roads and infrastructures? - Why bother? We are all 'walking' it off and where we can't we simply 'Strike' it off.
Of course Nigerians are happy people, yet churches are on the rise, as the people seek consolation 'desperately' in God.
Yeah ... We are happy people alright.
Christianity EtcRe: Are People Born Gay Or Is It By Choice? by PrettySpicey(f): 9:52pm On Jun 30, 2013
No child enters this world thinking about S.ex. About whether he/she prefers same s.ex or opposite. These are things that come with how that child grows up. What and who affects that child. I don't really how they end up gay, I just know there's something definitely unnatural about it. It is somehow against nature.
Science/TechnologyRe: A Cat And Dog Relationship(pictures) by PrettySpicey(f): 5:25pm On Jun 27, 2013
My family once had a dog and a cat at same period of time back in the 90s - Roger and Mubi, turned out they both became very friendly, played a lot together and often messed up the house together. It was really amazing seeing this.
RomanceRe: Pregnant For Sugar-daddy And Engaged To My Fiance by PrettySpicey(f): 5:11pm On Jun 27, 2013
You are dating a Pastor, so he probably thinks you are a good Christian girl...hmmm. But the reality is you are not. I am not judging you, NOPE. Another reality check - you have to take responsibility of your action. Since you had the courage to cheat on your Pastor boyfriend and sleep with another woman's husband (and helping you financially is a poor excuse) and also you had the senseless courage to sleep with him without protection (ever heard of HIV?) - well, given all this 'courage' you have, I think you should take the bull by the horn, go see your Pastor boyfriend tell him the whole truth, allow him decide what he wants now (that is if he will forgive you or not) and then have this baby and somehow find a way to take care of the child. If giving the child to your childless brother is the best alternative, do that.
But stop now and begin to do the right thing.

Christianity EtcRe: 12 Year Old Destroys The Trinity Argument - "Out Of The Mouth Of Babes" by PrettySpicey(f): 2:50pm On Jun 14, 2013
You are truly a clear case of 'Pride and Faithlessness.'
You would not be in the Trinity just because your mortal mind finds it hard to comprehend the possibility of such a reality. So because your human mind can neither comprehend nor explain, it is not a truth.
And so you lack the faith to believe because God Himself already told you when He said in Genesis1:26 - ''Let Us make human beings in Our image, in Our likeness ...'' (TNIV version).
'Let Us' is God the Father addressing God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
When you find it hard to comprehend something, seek wisdom from God through Prayer.
