Dying for nigeria is the most useless thing to do on earth. Anyone telling u about patriotism hates u so much. The political elites are not ready to do the right thing. I am sure that kindnapper mentioned men, powerful and connected men and they are doing all these to cover the story becus they know Nigerians will forget, no one will protest, and the matter will die.

The four soldiers who ran away with over 400 million, the name of the VIP the money was meant for has not been reviewed up to date. That is how bloody this country is.

The elites eat and wine wella in Abuja, the rank and files, and the masses die for nothing! Anyone joining the military and police right now na mumu

The most incompetent leader I have ever seen. Protesting against a visiting leader happens all over the world. U are the illiterate here. American president, George Bush was protested against in many foreign trips he did. It still happens today. As long as u protest without carrying arms or injuring anyone, protesting is allowed all over a decent country.

I'm scared Buhari and his chief of army staff may have hidden plans. This chief of army staff is the worse in the history of Nigeria. The only time we lost soldiers like we have lost under his watch was in the civil war.

Few days ago, 21 soldiers and a major general ran away from the war front.

Few days ago, about 9 soldiers were reported killed by bandits, that was few days ago when it was reported that close to 20 soldiers were also killed.

We can't forget when our soldiers were killed in hundreds. This man is still there o. Kidnapping, and all various forms of killings in Nigeria are on the highest red alert ever.

What I don't understand is why Buhari supporters don't ever speak the truth. This chief of army staff should have been sacked.

Nigerian leaders are jokers. Even SA is just trying to be diplomatically correct, not that they have anything to learn from nigeria. Nigeria oil sector that has become a curse to the country.

They want to teach SA how to use oil money and pay senators and govt officials excess money in the name of allowances.

What I expect in the meeting is Nigerian president and his ministers sitting down to be lectured by educated South African administrators on a white board over several weeks, Nigeria president and ministers should even be made to sew uniforms an learn like primary school pupils.
Only blind people think Nigeria is working. I mean, for 59 years, nigeria has not solved ordinary electricity problem. The country is so confused.

You really need to read up on what transpired during the civil war instead of making uninformed comments. There was no looting or raping in the 3rd marine commandos sector of the war. In fact, they didn’t even take POW. They fed and provided medical care to all captured Igbo soldiers and gave them the opportunity to either join the federal forces or return home.

Why you guys always like to play the ethnic card every time is baffling. Is Alabi-Isama a Yoruba man? You may feel sad about the defeat of Biafra but that won’t change anything about the war. We fought a civil war and the soldiers that fought gallantly on the side of Nigeria deserves to be celebrated.

How many African football do u watch? Should I share videos of interesting African leagues?

Or are u judging Africa from ur failed Nigeria? I watch North African leagues and inter club competitions involving north Africas, and I enjoy their passion and good football too. Europe is not the only continent in this life. Why are the other continents not on the same level with europe in terms of football? Why is football not so much fun in the north American continent? What of China with all the money, what of Asia? Europe has set a standard no continent will ever meet in football. That does not mean other continents don't have good football followership. While European leagues were on, clubs in North Africa played their matches and fans were in intimidating numbers. Their locals go out to watch and enjoy their beautiful football. So, that ur nigeria has failed does not mean, there are no good football in Africa.

Lol, if govt wants to make good use of toll, they must cut down on their luxurious lifestyle which are funded by public fund. They are over paid, until then, I don't trust them. Also, poverty is already too high, this sort of things are not what we need now.

Check out unemployment rates, many youths can't even afford TF to go for interviews, with this series of tax, TF will be higher. What govt needed to do first was to cut down on their luxurious lifestyle, fix our refineries which they promised us since 2015, get electricity to work. The economy will begin to have shape. Then they can gradually move into all these tax here and there.

The money to fix these things are there bro but they all lack political will to do so because they all care about looting and fixing their families to loot.

What does Nigeria do with her oil money?
By Otuekong Favour
Nigeria currently exports approximately 2million barrels of
crude oil daily at $60 per barrel, which translates into
$120million daily.
Nigeria produces over 2billionscf of gas per day, at $2.25 per
MMBtu.
Natural gas is measured in the international market with
British thermal units, MMBtu. Thus, 1000 cubic feet of natural
gas is equal to 1.037millionBtu, whereas one Btu of natural
gas according to Bloomberg Commodities is currently at
$2.25. Therefore, 2billionscf is tantamount to over 2trillionBtu,
which if multiplied by $2.25, amounts to hundreds of billions
of Dollars.
These prices do not include the fact that prices of
commodities fluctuate in the international market, as natural
gas went as high as $4 per MMBtu in 2018, while crude oil
prices soared over $75 sometime in 2018.
Now Nigeria has 49% stake in NLNG, 55% and in some cases
60% in every crude oil production in the country.
What about our internally generated revenue?
In 2018 alone, Customs generated N5trillion, FIRS N3trillion,
Nimasa N20billion, even non-revenue generating agencies like
JAMB, WAEC etc, claimed they'd generated billions last year.
What does Nigeria do with all these money, apart from
funding extravagant lifestyle of elected and appointed
politicians?
Yet a greater percentage of Nigerians are poverty-stricken,
with no access to potable water, electricity, reliable healthcare
etc.
This is what Nigerians blinded by ethnic and religious sentiments don't understand. Our money is been used to fund the luxurious lifestyle of these politicians.. That is why it seems we don't have enough.

Same thing as Yorubas, the Gguys and the ones doing professional jobs like Medical doctors, lecturers, and they are more than the regular population of Nigerians there..the reason why they think the Igbos are more is that they live together unitedly making it seem as if they are much but the Yorubas are scattered due to the nature of their different proffesions..so we literally shit ourselves in the legs when we first played tribalism card with the xenophobia issuy

You want to grab money from every angle by all cost. And that end, it ends in the pocket of few individuals.
This has been my argument. The system of corruption has not been defeated. The govt needed to reduce corruption in govt first, before coming down to the masses. The govt officials are too powerful, looting anyhow and practice nepotism and favourism more than anything else. This money comes in but goes back to the pockets of the elites. They are already well paid. What this govt needed to do was to do a lot more in the area of tax targeting rich individuals to limit their acquisition of material properties. But no, they keep stiffing life out of the masses. What happened is that corruption shifted from the people looting it before to a new set of people!

This country needed to first ensure our of us are captured digitally, profile of Nigerians, make every aspect of govt digital, remove all analog way of doing govt transactions and contracts bidding. A corrupt country like Nigeria will make her citizens suffer the more when too many levies and tax are paid.

Adenuga has hausa employees, Dangote has yoruba & ibo employees. The Nigerian structure is the problem right from independence.
Bros, right from day one, ethnic supremacy has always been our major problem. The issue is when you have issue like this, one tribe in Nigeria sees leadership as it birth right. Have u listened to their leaders talk? They just feel every other tribe must bow to them and they should control leadership. There is no way any country can work with ethnic supremacy. The Nigerian model can't work like the Chinese.

These countries you mentioned, the leaders don't have fear allowing all ethnic groups properly represented. In the case of Nigeria, hausa fulani have the mentality of defeat and conquer.

The best way we should start is regional based govt into six regions. That way, we can reduce the friction at the central level.

To me, the UK system of govt is best for Nigeria.

Security in Nigeria has really been bad since yesterday.

In my opinion, it is high time the Police thought up better ideas to fight crime in Nigeria. Yes, they are underfunded...but surely they can do something with the funds they have. Drones, human intelligence...etc.

Meanwhile....wonder what the governors of Adamawa past and present are doing with their security votes.
My brother, forget security votes, make una no do as if u want to avoid blaming who to blame. The state governors dont have control over the security of their states. The commissioner and other state security heads are not to answer to the governor. Whatever the governor want to do must be accepted in Abuja. When will u guys know that our system of govt no long works in this modern time. Almost every country moved with current situation of modern complexity, only Nigeria is so scared of losing up her FG mights due to fear of breakup. We go die if we break up ni?

The fact that the masses are closer to the local govt chairmen and state governors, than they are to FG, this security issue will continue to be an issue for the country. The governors are always going to Abuja to beg for security help. They are helpless. In fact a state governor can only talk and do almost nothing. To change an incompetent commissioner na war except approved in Abuja. He needs to keep traveling and begging and lobbying.

Also, hunger and unemployment are too much in the country. Guns are every where in the country now. The current govt got into power thru many coordinated violence from day, most of these weapons have been moving around in the country.

Nigeria needs change her system of govt to bring it closer to the state and local govt chairmen. I cant protest for lack of electricity in my state becus my state will tell me na Abuja the matter dey. I will need to travel all the way to Abuja to start protesting.

My brother, if u are sincere to ur self, u will understand what im saying, but if u are a party guy, forget, u wont. Until we are ready to weaken the powers of the central govt, make states richer, and give states and local govt more controls, forget it, Nigeria will only get worse.

Well, it can't stop except the leaders decide to be truthful and show love. With the current system practised by northern leaders who have vowed never to allow a particular region rule, the hate in nigeria will continue. If only we can have just one leader who will come in, heal thr country with true love, show love, treat every tribe equally, then begin process of amending the constitution, these will gradually flow into the heart of the masses.

The second option is if the masses can team up and fight their unrepentant leaders.
