Funmilola Doe 85 Iyana Ipaja Avenue Surulere, Lagos. Nigeria. (888) 888-8888 May 30, 2019 Consular Officer U.S. Consulate General Lagos Office 2 Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria Re: Tourist Visa for Invited Guests to the Wedding Ceremony between Mr. Samuel Doe and Ms Jane Doe in Anchorage, Alaska on December 7, 2020. Dear Consular Officer: Please accept this letter as notice that I have invited several family members and close family friends (“collectively relatives”) to the wedding ceremony between my son, Samuel Doe, and Jane Doe on August 7, 2020. Samuel and I have a special and close relationship with these relatives and, a result of the forthcoming wedding, they are seeking a tourist visa that will allow them admission into the U.S. to attend the wedding. The wedding ceremony will take place at the Our Lord of Apostles Center in Alaska. Samuel has been a permanent resident alien of the United States since 2000 and has served honorably in the United States Air Force Reserves for eight years, from April 27, 2000 till March 28, 2014. He was stationed at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Long Island, New York and thereafter at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Jane is a U.S. citizen who resides in Seattle, Washington. I am also a U.S. citizen but I reside principally in Nigeria because I have to care for my ailing mother. Because I reside principally in Nigeria, practically all of our relatives are in Nigeria and will need a tourist visa that will allow them to gain admission into the U.S. to attend the wedding. The sole purpose of their travel to the U.S. is to attend this wedding, and several nearby hotels in which our relatives will stay for the duration of the wedding have been identified. Please find attached with this letter the list of the relatives and their passport numbers, including the names of the identified hotels in which they will all be staying for the duration of the ceremony. Should you need to reach me for anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Funmilola Doe |
I will post the one I used for my brother's wedding. Out of 18 applications for a visiting visa, the American embassy denied just one applicant, and that applicant who was denied had lied about a prior visit to America, when she stayed past the duration. |

After watching that video, anyone who believes that a real baby can crease like a cardboard, the way Beyonce's "baby" creased, needs to examine his or her medulla oblongata. Real talk. She ain't pregnant. Look at her face right before she sat down, and you will notice she had an oops, I just blew my cover moment. |
Somorin#1:you are an I too Know. I also live in Yankee, and what you just said is pure bull. Remember when Toyota Camry's had an acceleration problem, the United States Congress subpoenaed the CEO of Toyota Motor Company from Japan to answer for the acceleration malfunctions in the Toyota Camry. Which kind of separate conglomerate are you talking about? Honda America is a subsidiary of (and owned by) Honda Motor Company in Japan. see the wiki link below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Honda_Motor_Company It is people like you who are olodos and fail multiple choice exams simply because you over-think and over-analyze the question and answers. Honda, Toyota, Infiniti, and blah blah blah are Japanese brands. Regardless of the location of their design facility, their technology and country of origin is still Japanese. Same thing with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and blah blah blah. They are all German cars. According to you, Peugeot is a Nigerian car, not a French car, because it is being assembled in Nigeria. According to you, any country in which an assembly or design plant is built assumes claim to ownership of the car. Seriously? Give us a break with this your jagbajantis, I too know attitude. Abeg. Or do you think we do not that some car companies have design or assembly facilities in other countries? |
Siena:there are too many ITKs on this thread |

A lot of those fly-by-night airlines by used, out-of-commission airplanes from airlines in Europe and America. I predict more fly-by-night airlines will spring up in the near future, now that many European and American airlines are upgrading their fleet to meet 21st century technology. |
we have other sources of foreign exchange: 419 yahoo yahoo charcoal and foodstuff exports, especially to feed the diaspora Nigerians' voracious appetite for Nigerian food. remuneration (western union and moneygram payments from diaspora Nigerians to their families back home) tourism (it is supported primarily by diaspora Nigerians who visit home on holidays or other days and spend money while there) |

We have representatives from Asia, Europe, and North America. Notably missing is Africa and Latin America. When will Africa step up to the plate? |
sultaan:While Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti are names used to market variants of Japanese cars, they are still built with Japanese parts and Japanese technology. Those names are just names designed to market the luxury brands of the car companies, which started in response to the export limit the Japanese limit placed on itself in the 80s after the U.S. complained that Japanese cars exported to the U.S. were hurting U.S. car manufacturers. Many of these luxury brands are still built in Japan and exported to the U.S. |
Somorin#1:Honda is a Japanese company. Thank you. Don't overthink yourself. While your Honda may be assembled in USA, it is built predominantly with Honda parts and Honda technology, both of which are Japanese. |
I did not know that akpu, goat meat, and edikaikong were that expensive. |
Wiz_khalifa:so you wouldn't mind your girlfriend proposing to you. |
Mrs, Chima:do you need me to call an ambulance to take you to the hospital? |
we have not won because there is no category for 419. |
@ OP: what you said has happened to me before. I was invited to this wedding and had to RSVP. However, I RSVP'd by mailing my name and a guest, because at the time I did not know who my date was going to be. Anyway, at the wedding reception, they told me they won't allow my date because her name was not submitted in advance. I was upset and left, and told them that it is pure stupidity for you to expect your invitees to know their guest's name 3 weeks in advance. |
I think that although it somehow sounds weird, some women have proposed to their boyfriends. One notable case is Jim Jones, an American hip hop rapper, who said yes to his girlfriend's proposal. Below is the link to the story. http://www.therundown.tv/headlines/discuss-this/jim-jones-girlfriend-explains-why-she-asked-him-to-marry-her/ As for me sha, I would prefer to propose to my girlfriend, rather than have her do it. But hey, to each is own. |
