toba:toba, you are a pretty girl. where do you live? |
In order to prevent surprises post marriage, should couples jointly undergo a comprehensive physical exam checking for, among others, the following: HIV Sickle cell trait Diabetes Erectile dysfunction (for the I don't want to get down before marriage couples) Hepatitis STDs Fertility Mental Disorders (just to make sure that your partner is not kolomental) And many others |
slimyem:Don't worry keep experiencing the world till you are old and grey by yourself in a nursing home. You think good men will somehow wait on you to come back from experiencing the world. If a thread like this does not teach young girls a lesson, I don't know what will. Let me use this hypothetical to make you understand your own story. You are, say 24 or 25, and dating a man of your dreams. But because you want to experience the world you let him go so that you can experience the world. After experiencing the so called world and now have high mileage you will now, say at age 32 or 33, say that you let go of that guy because it was the wrong time. So it follows that what made the timing wrong for you was because you wanted to experience the world at that time of letting him go. Women like you will now be spending countless nights in night vigils praying for a husband. |
buzugee:so you have never used western drugs? look me in the eyes and tell me you have never used western drugs? . so if you catch malaria or typhoid or pneumonia or a bacterial infection, you will start drinking milk and garlic and echinachea and blah blah blah? Get outta here, bloody liar. |
slimyem:I am not judging that your decisions were imprudent; I said they were seemingly imprudent. Anyway, neither here nor there, in my humble opinion, you have seemed to blame "the wrong time" for your decision of letting go of the man of your dreams. You, just like other women on this thread, have refused to blame themselves or accept responsibility for making the wrong decision. The first step towards redemption is accepting culpability for a decision gone wrong, not passing the blame on something else. Oh how the "wrong time" would be hitting his head on the wall for being blamed for something for which it may not be responsible. |
slimyem:Your statement still shows that you are trying to justify your unwillingness to commit to someone whom you said, in your own words, to be the right person. You are still attempting to calm your pain by envisioning--or perhaps hoping--that the supposed right person "might have been wrong after all," which just shows that it is nothing more than an attempt at consoling yourself for a seemingly imprudent decision in the past. Your reasons for not committing to the man of your dreams back then was because you wanted to experience the world. I hope that you have now experienced that world. |
buzugee:who is naive and ignorant? Me or you? You are just someone who relishes in cynicism. I am sure you take medicines when you are sick. You probably do not know that all those medicines you take had at one point undergone clinical trials. Someone has to be the guinea pig for new drugs or vaccine, as in that person has to make sacrifices in order to get the drug approved for commercial use. And in this situation, it makes sense that the people who are most afflicted, and who are in dire need of the vaccine, should be the ones in the clinical trials. |
Owu gal:So you would rather lie about your location and mislead people because you don't want to disclose your location? Rather than lie and mislead people, if you do not want to let everyone know your location, why don't you just live your location blank. You are a bloody liar. Your lies and deceit also show in your story, which makes no sense. |
Cuddlemii:I agree with you in part and disagree with you in part. I agree that there are some babes who are easily smitten by a guy with money, while some babes look beyond that. You also did say that a babe has to be attracted to a guy in order to please him and her. What you fail to take into account is that money, many times and not all the time, is what makes the babe attracted to the guy. What you said sounds good in theory, but in all practicalities, the wealthiest guys get the baddest babes. Generally, women are attracted to money. We may just have a difference of opinion on that. |
Eya to all this women who are languishing in nostalgia. They were younger and did not appreciate the good men they had, but now they are older and are now wishing they could turn back the hands of time. Unfortunately, it does not happen like that. This thread should hopefully show the young girls out there, who are with good men as we speak, not to end up being like this girls who are now regretting letting go of the good guys they once had. These girls are now trying to console themselves by saying that they met "the right person at the wrong time." Give me a break. I know that what I just said does not apply to all of the women, but I am damn sure it affects a substantial portion of the women who are sharing their experiences here. |
Owu gal:How come your status says you are in America, yet you are supposedly living in Nigeria with your housegirl. Are you living a double life? |
Cuddlemii:can you look me in the eye and say money does not seduce a lady? |
I will do everything in the book to seduce her. I will, however, not do the following: (1) pay her bills; (2) take her shopping; (3) place cash in her hand; (4) kiss her arse (as in acting like a mugu). |
Owu gal:Do you stay in Yankee or Naija? Your profiles says you are located in America. |
buzugee:You sound like you allow your emotion to cloud your reasoning. Why should they first test it on Europeans who vacation in African countries? Does that make sense to you? The group of people who suffer from Malaria the most and who are in need of the vaccine are Africans, and they should be the ones who are tested first. The vacationing Europeans are not the primary victims of Malaria. I recognize your sentiment, but this is not one of those situations where a vaccine that is developed for worldwide use is being tested on Africans first, putting them at risk ahead of Europeans; this vaccine is being developed for areas that are seriously afflicted with the Malaria epidemic, of which Africa is a significant part. Numerous lives have been lost to this disease in Africa. I wholeheartedly welcome this development. |
2be candid:of course, ideally, you would want an intelligent and beautiful girl. that is, however, not the question I posited, so don't fight my hypothetical. the question is which one would you choose out of the two options I gave you. I asked the question for a reason: many guys find themselves in the position of having to choose between the two, as many beautiful girls are not that intelligent. |
I love the African ladies with big nyansh and wide hips |
Lax 75 Thanks for informing me about the Oasis Cafe. Shoot, I may even head on to Sandy Springs tonight and check it out. I need to make a pit stop in Buckhead, though. I am sure I won't be disappointed. |
lefulefu, your swag is infectious. E be like say these Naija chicks are catching the lefulefu swag fever! They are getting sick, mehn! |
Nayah:yabadabadooooooo yaaay |
Lax75:Where in Atlanta is the Senegalese joint? I won't mind going there to try it. I frequent Atlanta. |
call-me:you ask me to define what makes someone intelligent, and I did. while some people have the opportunity to go to the university, it is not the only way to show intelligence, and I did acknowledge that. yes, being intelligent is a factor that may be taken into account in determining whether someone is wife material. i have empowered so many girls by giving them the honor to be in my presence and talking to me. Some of them are even privileged to sleep with me. Trust me, it is empowering. How many girls have you empowered? |
Nayah:will you make some ndole for meeeee? i am salivating |
lindabon:you need energy to workout nah. after she cook the pounded yam and egusi soup finish, then she and the bobo fit go workout outside burn all the calories wey come from the pounded yam. how many Naija babes can even pound yam with using the traditional mortar and pestle? I beg you say 99.9999% of all the keles NL never pound pounded yam for dem life. And by the way how many Naija keles dey workout? IF to say dem dey work out dem for no dey look like say dem be 12 months pregnant 24/7 |
Beync:If you were about to come to this world, and God gives you a choice to be one of the girls. Which one would you pick? |
Nigerian girls are not romantic enough to appreciate flowers. Buy your girl a Blackberry and see how much she will appreciate it. |
@OP: The aggressive and forceful style of Nigerian prayer you described, in my opinion, is no more effective than the laid back approach style of prayer. The Bible has indicated that faith, even if it is as little as a peppercorn, can move a mountain. God suffers from no hearing problems, nor does he need for humans to shout before he can hear us. God has also expressed no preference as to whether He prefers an aggressive style of prayer over a laid back one. Therefore, a prayer is effective not because of the style of delivery, but because the person praying has faith. Your laid back approach to praying, as long as you have faith and righteousness, is equally as effective as the aggressive, up-tempo style of praying. |
pro01:I will not put an ugly woman inside my house even if she is a rocket scientist. |
aureen:GBAM! Although I beg to differ with you as to whether being dumb is a matter of choice. It appears some people are born dumb, but they can always improve their thinking faculties by working harder. |
