MsDarkSkin:but who really wants to be intelligent but ugly? being an ugly woman is a life sentence, and many of those women live a miserable life. I feel really sorry for them. |
pendo89:are you beautiful and intelligent? |
call-me:any of the following could show intelligence: she is studying at a university or an institute of higher learning and has good grades; she can have an intellectually stimulating conversation about a topic and can give a thoughtful opinion about such topics; she can clearly articulate and communicate her ideas orally and through writing; she can discuss, for example, politics, education, current affairs, or religion, and she can form a reasoned opinion about them. dumb she cannot do any of aforementioned things, or she can barely do them. |
MsDarkSkin:this thread is about extremes, not the gray areas. you have to choose from being extremely ugly and intelligent or being extremely beautiful and dumb. honestly, I would still rather pick the extremely beautiful girl who is dumb. a girl that ugly would not make me happy at all. I would rather manage the beautiful one. |
Nayah:you are boooriful, and I am sure you are intelligent, at least judging by your posts. |
MsDarkSkin:I respect your opinion, Mz Dark Skin. But sometimes life is not a bed of roses, and you should thank God you are beautiful. I bet that you would not want to walk in the shoes of some ugly girls for one day. |
tiniyata:stop doing ojoro |
r231:Was I the one who added the word ugly to the English vocabulary? I am just a messenger. Ok, I will change the word to unattractive, if that makes you happier. |
tiniyata:I would have to choose the dumb one. |
MsDarkSkin:The ugly chick is the one below, wearing the black dress. It is a question, Mz Dark Skin. If the creator asked you that he is about to send you into this world and that you should choose from either of the two, which one would you choose? |
I want to get the women's point of view about this topic. I know that it is unquestionable that guys love beautiful women. Women, however, seem to pretend that they value intelligence and character over beauty? Now to the question: ladies, if you had the power to choose, would you rather come to this world really beautiful and dumb, as in you have the pretty face, the hour glass figure, and the nice derriere but cannot even form a coherent sentence? Or would you rather come to this world really ugly and intelligent, as in you are obese, shapeless, and unattractive but a genius? Honest responses, please. And you must choose from either of the options. Please use the pictures attached to this thread as a guide. One of the pictures shows the beautiful and dumb girl, while the other shows the ugly and intelligent girl.

cold:I did not say they have to use only pidgin, for pidgin is not the only language we speak in Nigeria. What I am saying is that they do not have to copy the American style of rapping; they have to create their own style. Naeto C is a good example of a Nigerian rapper who raps without pidgin English, but he is not trying to copy the Americans; he still has his an original flair about him. Those Nigerian rappers on BET Cypher are straight copying the Americans; there is nothing original about it. Whether you rap in pidgin or regular English, just be original. Shikenah. |
DC-ONE:Talent, creativity, and originality, among others, are the qualities that makes an artist go worldwide. Trying to copy an American rapping style will not make them go worldwide. Or you think they can compete with the top MCs in Yankee? Hell nah! It is the same rapping style of song that Naija artists back then used to make in the early 90s, and it barely sold in Nigeria, much less outside of Nigeria. Can't you see how D'banj is about to go worldwide? It is his originality that is selling, and no true hip hop fan in Yankee or Europe will by those fake Naija rappers' song. Trust me. You will see. Why has reggae music gone worldwide? Do you think they achieved all that success by copying Americans? What about Bennie Man, Sean Paul, Cappleton and the other reggae artists who have Jamaican styles? Why are they selling? Why is Fela selling like crazy overseas? Why do they have a Broadway show about Fela's life, which is selling out in every American city? It is because of originality. |
Why allow your parents' wishes to usurp your choice of the person with whom you choose to spend the rest of your life? At the end of the day, after the wedding bells have stopped ringing, you would have to live with that person presumably for the rest of your life. In light of the foregoing, it would behoove you to choose your life partner and to not allow your parents to make that decision for you. My two cents. |
mykali:i don't have a problem with naija rappers in general, except the ones who try to copy the particular style of american rappers. the ones who rap in pidgin at least are using their mother tongue. the naija rappers who try too hard to sound american are the functional equivalent of someone with a strong naija accent who is trying to speak with an american accent |
the entire thing is useless. rapping is neither our style nor our culture. copycats don't fly well in my books. dat nigerian tongue is not made for rapping, abeg. let's stop deceiving ourselves. the nigerian music industry is reverting to a style that did not work during its budding stage; now that it has enjoyed some limited success, many of these rappers are now complacent, as in they are trying to copy all these yankee rappers. the use of pidgin english helped propel nigerian music to its current level, and now these copycat rappers are trying to be some american gangsta they are not. so much for low self esteem. I personally don't listen to any nigerian rapper that tries to be american; if the style is not nigerian, count me out. my 2 cents. oya, let the abuses begin. |
Sagamite:Saga baba, wetin stillwater do you nah? You wicked ooooo |

ebonyvibe:Sexkillz is a product of the failed Nigerian educational system. His comments are gibberish, incoherent, pretentious, and so verbose to the extent that they do not clearly communicate what he intends to say and are unintelligible. I am sure he thinks that writing that way makes him appear intelligent, but he does not know that writing that way makes him look like a plantain seller who wants to appear like PhD holder in English, and that the only people who he can impress with his comments are his fellow plantain sellers. |
It appears that Nigerians want instant results without accounting for the requisite hardwork and the time it takes to produce such results. No wonder many of our youths involve themselves in fraudulent activities like 419, for they desire instantaneous wealth but lack the patience to work hard for such wealth; hence they engage in get-rich-quick type businesses. How do you expect Siasia to take over what everyone knows to be a mediocre Super Eagles and to, kaboom, perhaps in lightning speed, transform the dysfunctional Super Eagles team into a winning team? To Siasia's credit, with the exception of the Argentina game, Siasia has not lost any game since he assumed the position of headcoach. Such unrealistic and unreasonable expectations, disturbingly coupled with the thirst for instantaneous results, are common expectations of people who live in the land of either the criminals or the foolish. I guess Nigeria is one of those lands. |
these are the last days, mehn! to marry a virgin nowadays, you would have to marry her at the age of 13. |
It just shows how useless Nigeria's past leaders have been. Why on earth did some leaders start funding pilgrims in the first place? What business does govt. have with funding religious trips? Way to go, GEJ. |
I wonder how the ashys have been negotiating business during the BB Messenger outage. |
