which kind of energy will power this rail? Coal or electricity? Abi na solar? My people, make una tell me oooo! |
At an older age, eating pounded yam, amala, or fufu on a daily basis without exercise is not the appropriate diet for someone who wants to look good in a suit. A suit cannot hide an 11-month pregnancy, and most of our leaders are pregnant with quadriplets. Just joking. All jokes aside, I don't think a Nigerian president should wear suit, for a suit represents European culture. Our presidents should wear attires native to our country, for they are an ambassador to our country anytime they attend foreign meetings; and the last time I checked, I don't see western leaders wear agbada. |
According to the poster, if a Nigerian athlete is the 8th (aka last or arunpo) in a 100m final of the championship, we should roll out the red carpet for that athlete for placing last--aka the 8th fastest in the world. I will not in my lifetime celebrate mediocrity. The mentality of our people is what retards our nation. A country of 150m people cannot compete and win gold medals in a competition, while Jamaica, a country of barely 3m, is winning medals and giving the USA a run for their money. Why celebrate mediocrity? SMH |
Bottom line, most people who name their children Christian names have inferiority complex and want to belong. Nothing worse than meeting a girl who is from Nigeria tell you her name is "Shemika Nwokoro" or Jessica Ogunbiyi. Be proud of your culture. Don't let the white man rub you of your identity. And to all the mugus who say a name is not important and that people should name their children whatever name they like, check your history. A name signifies pride and cultural identity. When slaves were brought to America, the first thing the white man did was to change their African names. |
Jamaica is a nation of barely 3m people, yet it has competed and won many medals in the track events at the Daegu championships. Nigeria on the other hand is a nation of over 150m people, yet it is struggling to win one single medal in any track event. USA has always performed well in track and field competitions. Why is Nigeria so disappointing at track and field competitions. Are you telling me we cannot find our own Usain Bolt or runners to at least consistently win medals in these competitions. Maybe I am missing something, but I rarely saw a Nigerian athlete compete in the finals of any track event in Daegu. And even when they do compete in the final, they are usually second to the last or last (arunpo). When will this mediocrity stop? But why? |
Rather than Nigerians liberating themselves, it is appearing as though death is the only force that will liberate the new generations of Nigeria from these old godfathers who have ruined our country. If that is what it takes, I am up for it. I do not wish death upon anyone, but I do believe in the law of karma, and that law is a biatch. |
this thread is so stupid I don't know where to start. |
They need to swallow their okrika mentality and humble themselves. Pride comes before a fall, and there is nothing wrong with collaborating with foreign artists. P Square has apparently forgotten that the Nigerian music industry is still young, and therefore the west, especially Yankee, is still getting used to the sound. A business person/artist is obliged to market his music to his intended audience, even if it involves collaborating. Once you get your feet in the door, you may not need collaboration. I guess once the kokomaster paves the way for other Nigerian music artists P Square will be the first to go to Yankee and attempt to reap the benefit. |
@ OP: your father is acting childish. Your father should inform your husband before visiting your house because your husband is the head of the household. Shikenah. Do unto others as you would like others to do unto you. How would your father feel if your mother's father just visited your household without being informed? |
Women need to get this in their brain. Women presumably want their significant other to be Intimate with them, and before a man's 'uncle John' can stand at attention, he needs to be physically attracted to his woman. If he is not physically attracted to her because of her weight, his uncle John will find it difficult to stand at attention, and often times many of these men will have to think of other woman to commandeer their uncle John to stand upright. Women, forget about all that "it is what is inside that matters" talk; while what is inside matters, what is outside equally matters, particularly with respect to the sex department. |
Kx:Seriously, they have such a ministry? What do they do? |
I don't even think that Oliver Twist song is that explicit. And even if NBC had a problem with the word nyansh or some explicit content, it could have easily asked D'Banj to make a radio-friendly version or remove the explicit part of the song. To ban the entire song is unwarranted and unnecessary. |
Nice yansh |
Bokoooooooooooooo Haraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam Oh my goodness |
To all the women who seek responsible bachelors, check your attitude and be nice to a guy who approaches you. That guy may be the responsible bachelor you so desire. Stop making shakara to a guy in whom you are interested. It is so unnecessary. |
Sagamite:GBAM!!!!! |
OkparaIgbo:So because a Yoruba man supposedly did nothing for Yorubas for eight years, the elders should not speak out on behalf of Yorubas if they feel that they are being marginalized? What happened to the democratic process? Doesn't every organization or entity have a right to petition the government to redress certain pressing issues? |
Everyone who is talking about the Yorubas who went to complain to Jonathan should shut up. Everyone has the freedom to lobby for his or her own cause, which is what democracy stands for. |
naijababe:With that kind of cooking, will you marry me? ![]() |
I predict Rihanna will be the next to get pregnant; Rihanna always seems to compete with Beyonce. I am going to have impregnate Rihanna tonight. |
British-Nigerian runner, Christine Ohuruogu, was also a victim of the rule. She was disqualified in the 400m heat because of a false start. This rule contravenes one of the basic maxims that govern humans in life, that people should be given a second chance, especially when the punishment for the offense is so dire. |
Many diaspora Nigerians won't return because of the erratic power supply. It is not easy to transition from sleeping in A/C or in the desired temperature every night to sleeping in the heat, or sleeping while being disturbed by the noise from a generator. |
saintneo:you are right. I just watched the highlights of the race. I had forgot they enacted a zero-tolerance rule last year. That rule makes no friggin sense. The prior rule was better, where the offender is warned the first time after committing a false start. This new rule, not so sensible. |
I think the rule makes sense. Sometimes the penalty for violating a rule is severe, just as it is the case here. You are given just one chance to false start without penalty, and you are automatically disqualified upon your second false start. I think it is a good policy. When athletes know the severity of the punishment for a false start, they are more likely to train harder and be cognizant the whistle and their reaction time on race day. |
premechaz:sorry oooooooo Edo women na dem dey be prosstitutes pass |
She announce am during the MTV Video Music Awards http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44309311/ns/today-entertainment/ |
careytommy:If you are unsure about the veracity of an information, don't post it. You are misleading people by doing so. 419 has nothing to do with the Nigerian Constitution; it has to do with the Nigerian criminal code. |
sconsults:why is that our women are always prostituting themselves everywhere they go? them they prrostitute themselves for holy land again? na waa oooooo/ |
