Obinoscopy:That’s true but a good advanced mathematical backing would help in psychiatry (especially when it comes to understanding the different forms of bipolarity). The fundamentals of mixed-mania (purple), mania (red), (severe) depression (blue/indigo), O.C.D. (purple-lite) and schizophrenia (and the corresponding more exact pharmaceutical regimes best-suited to each phenotypic case) would be far-better-understood with a bit of calculus application (even if it means having shrinks study a bit of Kumon maths). Kraepelin really tried but his lack of interest in the most essential mathematical tools needed to understand manic-depressive insanity stopped him reaching the fullest picture (as brilliant as he was overall), especially in regard to mixed episodes (which he really did try to elucidate in empirical terms and definitely managed on his ordained-orthodox-groupings descriptive standpoint). Mathematical application could be applied thereafter in some sort of public-health context to underpin the overarching cultural/behavioural-and-spiritual patterns of the world. There’s so much clear manifestation of the relevance of all that in Igboland alone (perhaps especially). Subconscious study of it is some people’s very life essence, even. |
litigator:Holla if you need me. The A or the T doesn’t matter if you’re not a prospective economist and trying to figure out how assertive you’ll be with financial goals on-job. Otherwise that dichotomy ain’t worth paying much attention to. Everyone’s a little assertive and a little turbulent, whatever their gender, race, sexual orientation (dare-I-say-am) and whatnot. |
shortIGBOman:I really don’t mind the Igalas (I’m maternally once-removed from an Awka village that has a certain noteworthy linkage with ndu Igala and my maternal grandma spoke Igala most of her life, and her mum was from Nsukka so you can imagine) but rich they are not, not inherently for Naija. Let’s just say the truth, abeg. |
Jokerman:Let him watch. Elon Musk doesn’t help me with Sunday rice prep., nor does he share any of his riches with me. He might watch football in passing but someone like him has many, many other things that occupy his mind (and money to make). He’s not really trying to be a one-sided Nairaland/Anfield/Crystal-Palace/Agbero 042-United F.C. aggressor/hooligan (and I say that as someone who’s far from a particular fan of the autistic baby-white-supremacist he is). |
Paxxcarl:I think you’re the one who needs help. Footie-obsession isn’t healthy. |
AllDModsAreMaad:Agreed. I’m a reds-fan (within the perimeters of the decidedly-vague interest I have in the game in the first instance) as well but I’d rather obsess over things that actually matter to me on a more personal level (or at least make my bank-balance fatter) if I want/ed to push whatever interests of mine dey to such extreme limits. Some of the boringly-unhealthy uber football-enthusiasts who vilify guys who just aren’t about the footie game are tiny from head to dick to toe (which is even whatever) and just all-round beardless tenors at their physiologically-gruffest. A 6”6 (or at least solid 5”10) man with beautifully-well-rounded, lush facial hair and a proper bass voice who has no time for 90 minutes of pig-skin-kicking is no-less ‘masculine’ or likely to be gay than his wimpy-but-coincidentally-football-obsessed counterpart. Just like women who choose not to marry or have kids are no less beautiful for their propose and deserving of regard as an adult woman than the ones who do choose that conventional familial path. Linking that point to the thread-title women football-enthusiasts are an admirable force to be reckoned with because they truly-know their stuff but without obnoxiously-imposing or honing in too much on footie alone but the average male on account of that very-intrinsically lower level of emotional intelligence oversteps serious boundaries when it comes to other people’s interests, by way of assuming that they’ve gotta be fellow football-freaks to be in possession of a functional dick. Why would any of that nonsense matter to you if you ain’t trying to suck them? What good has ever come from speculating about the sexuality of people you’re not claiming/even-supposed to be attracted to? |
Paxxcarl:Does having that knowledge make your bank balance any juicier? Is jollof rice shy sweeter for following Rolando like a virtual ghost-halk, hm? Does it make one pass exams? Does it give you the same level of enjoyment as a spot of Arizona kush or glass of Havana (na-wa for you if it does)? |
Judolisco:I preferred Big Brother U.K. in its prime. Sha. |
Joycehappy:I feel for your plight but the fact that he obviously won’t be a football-better/gambler doesn’t mean he’s balling in it or not struggling, himself. But you can try asking people on here who give off more well-to-do vibes. See where that takes you. I help someone helps you soon. I would but I’m pretty low myself at the minute. Hopefully in the future. |
spencekat:And thank God for that. If everyone was a gambling thug/hooligan the world would be in disarray. What’s this obsession with moulding everyone to be just as fanatical about a game as you to prove that they have a dick you’re not even going to be looking at if you’re not puff/on the down-low about? |
Obinoscopy:Spain and Croatia are known and used for more than just football. |
boydem* |
caprini1:Because not everyone’s into exactly-the-same stuff as you and your mandem. |
EgunMogaji2:Gotcha. Some guys just want to talk anime (which by itself is fine, I suppose, even if I’m not an anime-freak, per se). Some just want to talk football. Others just want to talk cars, business expansion, gym and hustle-hustle. All them-dem bore the life out of me (even if the uber business-enthusiasts are renowned Anambra umunwoke-beanyi). I’m not interested in people who bang on and on about the same thing or things over and over again and try and shame people for not having exactly the same vis-à-vis interests as they happen to. |
INDUSTRIALFAN:Men who are absolutely-obsessed with football at their big age tend to have a very narrow scope of interests outside of that and very one-sided idea of what is-and-isn’t masculine. They’re also quick to label any other enduring interest (other than body-counting like a co-incidentally-straight escort not getting paid to cheat and maybe anime) as unhealthy/neurotic. |
LienwaltAbel:Right. I like sports (and vide/computer games at that, for my sins) but in moderation. I have my own life and things that are personal to me to think about as well and 7 times out of 10 I’d much rather be thinking of them. |
Fred166:I can’t believe some men don’t know anything about real life. Football’s one hell of a game but it’s still only a game. |
mariahAngel:Boring blokes are the mandem who are so one-sidedly interested (often to the point of boring obsession) in footie that you can’t, even for a second, turn their attention to the things in life what actually matter. Football is literally a game. |
People have different personalities and interests. Some are too intellectual to want to pay attention to common activities/games (which to the lofty intellectual are trivial and childish). Others have rich inner recesses that are wholly-sufficient (and then some) for entertainment. Others just don’t care. So far as it doesn’t add money to your bank account/you no-be the one dey-play am, interest na very optional indeed. |
shortIGBOman:Lol. |
shortIGBOman:Igala? Rich? L.M.A.O., still. |
Why would anyone even do that? |
Heartbreaking. |
That’s close to the overall world order of greatness and in any case it goes without saying that Nigeria is number one in Africa. Being from Mozambique must be tough. |
Guderian:I seriously need to change my username. These useless notifications ain’t it. |
AbakalikiPress:Enuani (the core/Asaba-lite Delta IGBOs, not those Edo-western Igboid hybrids called Kwales and Edoid Ikas) are more in than many places in the East going by purity of dialect. No offence or shade intended whatsoever (some of the most awesome people I know are Ika) but I can understand Ika people seeing themselves as not Igbo but Edoid-Igboid, because in many ways that’s what they are. |
Sammy07:Ta. What kind of lie? |

Northernblood8:For what? |
It’s sad in and of its own merits (and also the fact that she had the misfortune of being married to such a dunce in the first place). Her connection to Mr Trump per se isn’t that important considering they divorced 31 years ago. R.I.P. to the lady herself. |
falcon01:INFJs and ENFPs are each other’s shadows (none of that stuff is 100% - there are all sorts of shadow and subconscious groupings every type has). So you’re definitely not alone. Some people do kind of fluctuate between the two on a semi-conscious level (especially between Se and Si - that’s often the key break between the two of them in the first place) so that’s just kind of the way it is (and they apparently have wonderful relationship comparability, more than any other type-pairing). I feel like the ENFP persona is used as a common archetype for black people {from pensive, realistic-but-not-particularly-sociable Igbo businessmen to accommodating and tough funny black [akata] women doing subtly-comedically-toned, half-serious bits in Louisiana} so the quirkiness that stands out more with white-and-Asian (not that I really know many Asian ENFPs at all) ENFPs just passes for a certain subtle pragmatic innovation (especially with Igbo men)/humour in black communities. That’s why a lot of black ENFPs really do present like INFJs, especially to people who haven’t coincidentally been made cognisant of the fact that “extrovert” and “introvert” in the Myers-Briggs-ian context hardly have anything to do with how outgoing or socially-reticent/antisocial (asocial) someone is at all (at least not in direct fundamentals). Where are you at with all this now? |
