bigfrancis21:Agreed. |
RedboneSmith:I like Yewa. It’s cute. |
Adulting in general (in this raggedy era). |
blazingblender:I’d argue that Imo girls are lighter than Enugu girls. And Eri origins only apply to a certain part of Anambra State. Unless you’re of Aguleri-lite stock, (or at least Nri-Awka) you’re not an Eri descendent. |
What’s this obsession with honing in on other people’s business even when they’re not doing anything that bad/blasphemous? Are you God (or even an usher, let alone pastor)? |
complexBoss12:So by the same logic wetin you go call ndi black? |
Menace2Society:I wouldn’t be so quick to toss around the word stupid and other lame insults when I (you) can’t even spell. Go back to school, g. |
I’d get her to see a doctor about that (as a matter of urgency). |
Any other illiterate looking to roll up a storm with me, just know that e no go end well for you. At all. I don’t tolerate that kind of nonsense. If you can’t read, get to Bleep and go do something else with your time. Your illiteracy and stupidity are not my problem. |
Menace2Society:And what’s this illiterate idiot saying here? Commot for thread. Before someone go use cutlass to break your silly head. Anuofia. |
No offence, like. |
ahnie:I’m under no obligation to be nice if I don’t want to be. This sort of post is obviously geared to someone with a certain degree of well-readedness (whatever) and for the more well-read on here that post shouldn’t be too taxing to understand. Technically you can do whatever you want but it’s not really for you to take out your lack of comprehension on the O.P. as if it’s their problem and expect them to love your limited version of the truth. |
ahnie:That’s your wahala. Go pick up a bloody dictionary. |
“ Although its culinary (and overall) exploitation have/has not been known to expand beyond the province of simply eating the much-prized fruit, subjective advocates have been made across certain lines suggesting its wood be used to smoke certain foods in a Nigerian/Igbo context (some curiously-experimental, some conventional) as shawarma meat, ofe akwu (banga stew), cast-iron-‘potted’ jollof rice, coconut rice, efo-riro, ofe-egusi, okro soups, [pumpkin] yam porridge and ofe-oha. The foods that occupy a certain intermediate position between ofe-ora and jollof rice, which assume more of a definitively-concrete culinary stamp among the Igbo than the Yoruba and other non-Igbo ethnic groups, are especially-advocated for in certain esoterically-subjective circles as especially-benefiting from the infusion of the ‘tropical apple-wood smoke’ that would be imparted by way of corresponding usage of said tree-wood. These foods may be summarised as, in a no-means exhaustive list, banga rice {which essentially-represents to ofe akwu what jollof rice does to white rice and [red] stew}, all manner of transitional forms between banga rice and conventional jollof rice (helped by the addition of coconut) and okra soup (ofe-okwuru/okwulu) wherein prominent ingredients include ehuru (Calabash nutmeg), seafood, uziza (false cubeb) and turkey meat. The heretofore-stringently-protected meat of flamingo has also been subjectively-deemed as fitting protein-compliments for these potentially-rendered dishes or even to take the place of (or compliment) (smoked) meat of any kind, in this futuristic model smoked specially with the wood of udala.” I’m sure some people would opine that such a proposition could only come about under the influence of Uber-lit Jamaican/Arizona kush but that’s not quite the case. Even in a concrete, practical sense it’s a perfectly-sound idea (once flamingos become more widespread for nni). Udala-wood-smoked flamingo wings with banga jollof rice (cast-iron-potted and lid-sealed with plantain leaves in place of the customary aluminium foil/parchment paper-sheets) would be dope. Ditto for egusi with added-on onugbu leaves stir-fried in half-[bleached-or-not]palm-oil, half flamingo/torotoro oil and smoked with udara/agbalumo wood (whether the egusi itself is cooked in a cast-iron, stainless-steel or good-ol. aluminium pot). |
He’s having a hypomanic episode. What he needs is lithium, not another wife. |
Men wore heels (alongside with pantyhose, camisoles, corsets, wigs and make-up/elaborate perfumery) before women were roped it and all those items feminised. Listen, clothes pretty much have no gender. It’s all a result of social conditioning. Biology not so much. Let the poor man wear what he wants. |
Why were they beefing in the first place? |
Sirqt5:Make the topic of copyright (even in jest) commot for here. |
Horrendous. Keep practicing, dude. |
TheStakeHolder:You must be one rich nigga. |
RedboneSmith:I know. Quail’s a wonderful bird to eat, talk less of use to cook a stew or jollof rice. People just don’t know about the perks of non-conventional animals. Why’s it always chicken, beef, titus and tolotolo and not quail, goose, duck, antelope and elk? Do people not know how much stronger the oha, onugbu, ayamase, gizdodo and jollof game would be if we actually took advantage of those less popular but tastier/gamier meats? |
Probz:And by Awka I guess I’m referring to the broader region which includes the likes of Enugu-Ukwu and the like. The Non-Nri side of the northern Anambra periphery as a whole do pretty darn good with abacha as far as I know but that’s pretty much where it ends. Aguleri, Nnewi and Agukwu-Nri people by default do a lot better with onugbu and ofe akwu. And okpa doesn’t even register with them (and probably not even in the entirety of Anambra State as a whole minus the Awka-Ukwu region). |
Jameseddi1:Is this a joke or did someone actually use your head to fry akara this morning? |
MrGerald:Are you from Nkwerre by any chance? Nkwerre egwusi is lit. I can’t lie. |
MrGerald:Nah. Anambra Igbos cook egusi an awful lot. It might be more of a day-to-day ofe-staple among Imolites (because other than okazi and ofe Owere they/you don’t have that many more soups, unlike Anambra Igbos) but don’t get it twisted. Egusi’s served at every traditional function in Anambra State (alongside onugbu) and it’s been there since time immemorial, especially the Aguleri area. What state are you from out of interest? |
MrGerald:It most certainly does in Anambra State at least. Maybe you’re from the far west. |
Zazoopk:What’s that got to do with anything? |
Absolutely. Anyone who says otherwise is an agent of white male supremacy. |
Mentally-challenged is a more politically correct way of calling someone pathologically slow (general learning difficulties). Mentally-ill (even mad) is the more accurate descriptor here. Just saying. Having a depressive, manic or schizophrenic psychosis is not the same thing as having special needs at all (quite the opposite if anything). |
Rayjnr:What’s the name of that movie? |
No. |
Is she Deeper Life? |
