Politics / Re: US Ambassador Speaks On Buhari, His Experience In Nigeria by ProfGday(m): 3:32pm On Jul 29, 2018
Butterflyle0:
The U.S. ambassador to Nigeria has commented on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration - James Entwistle has praised the president's success in fight against corruption and insecurity as well as overcoming economic problems - "It is good that the expectations from Mr. President are very high. But, I think people should remember what he inherited. " James Entwistle, the outgoing U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, has shared his thoughts on the situation in the country, expectations of Nigerians, the president's wise approach to economic problems, fight against corruption and insecurity during a meeting with journalists on Friday. Buhari and Obama's resemblance Mr Entwistle said: "I see a parallel between President Buhari and President Obama. President Obama had not been in office very long before the people had the same kind of impatience. A lot of people forgot what difficult situation President Obama inherited. I think the same thing is happening to President Buhari. It is completely understandable for the people to have high expectations. They are impatient, because they want to see change. But, the president inherited very difficult circumstances.

Some of the things he identified that needed to be done, like ending corruption, reforms in the petroleum sector, ending of the conflict in the North East, are things that even when you work as hard as you can, they are going to take some time to yield the kind of result you expect. People should be patient. It is good that the expectations from Mr. President are very high. But, I think people should remember what he inherited. And in my opinion, I try to be neutral and balanced, I think Mr. President and his team have done a good job in this first year."

On Nigerian economy The diplomat stressed that Nigeria is not the only country affected by the sliding oil prices and nowadays there are no country that could be named an “economic island”. He also commended President Buhari’s economic team, particularly for their resolute steps in exchange rate and removal of fuel subsidy. On anti-corruption war The ambassador has expressed his respect to President Buhari, who has abbiden by his campaign promise to make fight against corruption the focus of his administration. "He has done exactly what he said he would do. It’s clear that he has unleashed the investigative agencies to follow every evidence and information wherever it goes.

On America's support to Nigeria According to Mr Entwistle, apart from military training and equipment assistance, the U.S government provided about $700 million this year to deal with the humanitarian crisis in the north-eastern part of the country. Earlier he has pledged his country's commitment to Nigeria in its war against corruption, terrorism, militants and other issues of national importance. On his marvelous experience in Nigeria "I have been warmly received in every corner of this country. I have no unpleasant experience in Nigeria. I will leave here having enjoyed every minute of my time as U.S. Ambassador. I will leave here with a great sense of satisfaction, because I believe the relationships between our two countries are in very good shape at the moment. Nigeria and U.S. have a partnership of two great democracies working together to make the world a better place.

The way the Nigerian people made clear that this time they wanted their votes to count and would accept nothing less. I felt very proud. That’s something I will carry in my heart for ever. It’s up to Nigerians to ensure that 2019 is even better," he said. James Entwistle has worked 35 and a half years at the U.S. Foreign Service and will leave his post of the ambassador to Nigeria by the end of this month.

Education / Re: Things To Consider Before Choosing Your Project Topic by ProfGday(m): 8:15am On Jul 29, 2018
chikachuks1:
With the education system on ground, every student must write a project before graduation. Polytechnic students write two projects, one at the National Diploma (ND) level and the other at the Higher National Diploma (HND) level. But then, many people have difficulties in choosing a project topic. That is why many students outsource their project work and pay huge amount of money just to get the project done. But then, if you can get a topic you can do, you will do it comfortably do it without stress. There are few points I will list below which will serve as guidelines to help you in choosing the project topic. Think well before you choose whatever topic you want to do as your project. I have provided an advice to young students who want to do their project work. Read the advice and try to adhere to it, it will be of great help to you. Therefore, the underlisted are things you consider before choosing a project topic.

Your knowledge level
: Knowledge they say is power. The first thing you must consider before choosing a project topic is your knowledge level. The primary reason why many students outsource their project work not because they do not have time but because the topic exceeds their knowledge level. If you must comfortably choose a reasonable project work, you must check your knowledge level. You will spend about 2, 3 or 4 years before you start your project work. Use these few years to study heard so as to be fully grounded in at least one field, so that when the time for project comes, you will know what to do. Your project must not be complex as many people think it is. If you think that project is a big deal, the recommendation I will give you is to look for an existing work in your field and improve on it. Truly, project work is very simple. Find out what you can do then go into it. As much as possible, choose a topic for yourself, do not allow your supervisor to choose for you. You are the one to do the project work yourself not your supervisor. Therefore, be guided. If you choose a project topic based on your knowledge level, you will do your project work without stress.

Your financial capacity: Once again, let me state that your project work is not a complex stuff. Though, there are some project that are capital intensive, but yet be careful in choosing your project topic. Before embarking on any project work, check your financial strength and that of your sponsors. As much as possible, try to downsize your budget before choosing your project topic.

Kind of lecturers in your department: Another thing to consider is the kind of lecturers in your department. In some departments, lecturers stands as stumbling blocks to many students. In my own little knowledge, you can apply for a change of project supervisor. The simplest way to do that is by simply approaching the lecturer whom you want to supervise you. If he agrees, good enough. The reason why you must consider the kind of lecturers you have before choosing a project topic is because many lecturers will frustrate your efforts. Knowing fully that your supervisors are human beings and as such are also limited in knowledge. It might be that your supervisor knows nothing about the project work you want to embark upon. How then do you want him to supervise you in what he does not know? Therefore, this is another thing to consider before choosing your project topic.

Availability of materials: Be informed that most of the project work done by students are simple improvement on already existing ones. Therefore check for availability of related and relevant materials before you jump into doing your project work. If your chosen topic does not have much materials, then your project work will seriously limited. So the more the available materials, the easier for you.

Relevance of your project topic: The next thing to check for is the relevance and impart of your project work. Make sure that your project work is not that which will take us to centuries and decades back. Let your project work match with the latest trend in technology. With this, you will not have difficulties in getting a scope for your project work. Also the relevance of you project work will determine if or not your supervisor will show interest in your work.

https://infoducation.com.ng/things-to-consider-before-choosing-your-project-topic/
1. Chose a topic that catch your interest and has relevance to your course of study....
2. Originality matters too...Stop being FAKE even if its for once

Family / Re: I'm About To Regret Getting Married by ProfGday(m): 10:58pm On Jul 23, 2018
Tehila07:
I had thought that love has bigger roles to play in marriage. I was wrong. I got married at 36 when I thought I had seen someone who loved me.

While dating, I was not spending money on her because she has a job and was not complaining. I ride okada for a living hoping to go into a business soon. Before marriage, I use to have spare cash of about 10k always. Even if that 10k is spent on something, I would recover it within a week. She told me that if money she spends on feeding and what I spend on feeding are added together, we would feed ourselves and save more. But since we got married, I labour hard to ensure she has whatever she needs. Now I'm stretched to the limit and can't cope anymore. She has money in her bank account but said she's saving for raining days. Anytime she wants to perform online banking, I do it for her. Two days ago, I wanted to buy data, and I transferred money from her account to the seller and I brought out the money and told her seller accepts bank transfer and I don't want to go and queue in the bank for lodgement. I would have informed her first, but she was busy attending to visitors and her phone was with me. She was angry and said "I will change my password." I replied that the only favor she did me was saving my journey to the bank. She said if she has cash in hand, she would be tempted to spend it. So, it's me that should not have savings?

I don't feel like having sex again because of the depression and she is now angry that I'm turning her down. Now I'm planning to leave home and return whenever my situation improves. She can cope because she has enough money.

Why the financial pressure on me is too much is that we are both 36 years old and friends keep trouping to our house to wish her well. As a man that manages resources, I entertained guests from my family once for the past two months we got married because it's not my town but hers. She keeps asking me for money to entertain guests. Some friends made it a habit of visiting twice weekly, while she keeps showing me off. When she asked for money for food yesterday and I told her I had no money, she has been moody since then, thinking that I'm hiding money from her.

This was a woman, that, last week, when I said I couldn't afford a particular asoebi that only concerns me because it's costly, went to the market, bought it, and took it to my tailor. Judging from her recent actions, I won't wear that cloth except I'm able to refund the money.

P.S: Love is just a rhetoric - humanity died long ago.
Hey bro, I have read and reread what u posted here. But allow me to say this to you..You don't need to run away from your wife or reject her sexual advancement. What you need to do is to sit her down and communicate with her with wisdom...Women like communication especially with that deep cool voice, you should know what I'm saying here now...OK for example, that kind of voice you always use when you want to lick her something..eheehen you got my flow? She won't know when she would empty her treasury both home and abroad..If you can do this with cool headed mind, her mumu button don become yours niyen...u will now be pressing it anyhow u feel like. Learn from our fore fathers how they use to handle their stingy wives back in the days. Go and get your wife back son.
