PPR for my two kids, VV as they are below four years. My wife only resumed this September though we applied as a family.
I also applied for VV but IRCC redirected me to apply for SOWP which I did 12weeks ago, also got Medical Request today along side with the kids VV |

amr12: Alhamdulilah! PPR finally dropped for my wife’s SOWP and 2 kids(VV and study permit). We applied October 2nd, 2021 Medical passed November 15th and then the long wait. Eligibility started August 5th,BVL dropped August 9th and PPR came in August 17th. Their trip is scheduled to depart this September ending and Our medical expires October 15. I will like to know the implication of leaving 2 weeks to the expiration of medicals on their visa. Is this going to cause issues at the port of entry? If they take another medical exam before the expiration of the current medicals, will it over ride the current one? I fear IRCC might not update the new medical on time before their departure time. What do you advise? As long as at the date of their travel the medical is still valid, then, they have no issues. If IRCC needed a fresh medical, they would have requested for it. Congratulations! |

RSQL: I'm grateful for the response. I did some research and found that IRCC may cancel an application if they feel the time needed to wait for a decision is too close, a mistake in the application or like you said if the document applied for is no longer needed.
Non of the above apply to me, I'm a first time applicant, I've gone through my application several times, I applied for the correct status and filled everything according to their instructions. Also in what scenario would I not require a (TRV) study permit to study in Canada. I also made sure to support my application (NEW PORTAL) with additional documentation sent through webforms.
Also the portal states they will respond to me explaining their reason for cancellation but knowing IRCC it may take a while, that is if it ever does come.
At this point I need to get back to my school so they can issue me a refund or deferral but they can only do that on the condition that my study permit is refused.
My head is pretty hot, excuse me. But some next steps would be greatly appreciated. At least for now. They will send you the reason in a couple of days if not today |

Ocool: UK no be their mate. Their process is too laborious as they want to know everything about the life of everybody. I like the US process the most with their instant decision. I hope this is not an argument on which one is better because the Canadian system I would say is the best of all. It would be important to note why, Canada understands that most people are coming to their schools as a route to future migration, their immigration plan is centered around skills so they try to merge these two. UK is a completely saturated economy with no clue on how to fix their economy (always blaming it on the prime ministers), cost of education dwarfs that of Canada and you are not sure what they will do with you at the end of the day. Prospects when you graduate are low, the last UK citizen has to be employed before you stand a chance, and to gain a stay, you will pass through a lot of frustration. Your kids will remain second class in their environment for many years. It will never be my choice country (I’ve spent some time there) The US is like a quick judgement, you have no idea what the VO’s considers during their approval or refusal (I’ve experienced both). You might think you have repackaged your application again only to just get a thirty seconds session and you are on another denial. That said, the US is a big country with better opportunities than Canada and a blindfolded man can make a living but also the migration route is not straight forward. You may not visit your home country for 10years before you finally get your stay. It probably is also not my choice country for personal reasons. I hope we understand that if you have all your documentations properly sorted, have enough resources and consistency in your story, you are better off with Canada than with UK or US. |

RSQL: Good Morning Naira Land Family.
I applied for my Study Permit on the 6th of June Did my Biometrics on the 7th and it reflected same day Medicals was passed on the 27th of July
While waiting to hear back from IRCC I got an email prompting me to check my dashboard.
My Application was CANCELLED and I do not know how to go about it. Any advice or suggestions you have for me will be highly appreciated.
Please Help!!! Not sure you have to panic, cancellation is not the same as refusal. This happens mostly if you have two similar applications running so one will be cancelled for the other to get processed. Also your application can be cancelled if they think you do not need the status you are applying for and want you to go for another status. I’ll give you an example, I applied for Visitor Visa so I can travel with my spouse who applied for Study Permit to help her settle, but my Visitor Visa was cancelled and I was requested to apply for an Open Work Permit. |

Onyeara: Hi guys I lost by biometrics slip, though my biometric is updated on line with the number, pls what should I do, I don't want things that will delay my stamping when approved. no time to waste as schools are resuming Sept 6 You were already responded to above, either go to VFS office and get it sorted or pay a transmission fee. That would do. |

I suggest you send a webform and an email to IRCC informing them that you had undergone a medical examination already. Attach your e-medical sheet to the webform and the email.
You could also go to the hospital that conducted the examination to confirm that your results have indeed been sent to IRCC.
Good luck! This would do! |

Have you met this person before? I want to believe no. You are probably just working with a scammer, and at this rate you might end up getting a ban from IRCC if this person keeps submitting wanton documents on your behalf. About getting full details of your admission, I would say that might never be possible |

Rheality: Hi Ketima,
Please, how did you book via Air Canada? Kindly assist on your process. I'm currently in Port Harcourt You don’t have to book on Air Canada or West Jest as they don’t have originating flight from Nigeria. If you book on all the other airlines like KLM, Lufthansa, Egypt Air, Ethiopian Airways etc, they have arrangements with those regional airlines that will fly you to your final destination but the problem is that your flight will now be considered a local flight, also because the aircrafts are smaller you are now entitled to less luggage limit. Unless the Airport you arrived at is your final destination. |

Ocool: @JustMello and other gurus.
I need your expert advice on the following:
My husband who is accompanying me has IELTS for UKVI (General) with Speaking = 7.0; Writing = 7.0; Listening = 7.5; Reading = 7.5; and Overall = 7.5.
We submitted our family application last week but we didn't include the IELTS for UKVI in his profile. We didn't include it because we were thinking since it is for UKVI, the VO might be thinking we are being too desperate to immigrate and that may be a red flag.
Please, I want to know if we should leave his application as it is or we should send it to them via email and Webform? UKVI is for UK while Canada uses the General/Academic IELTS so it is an unnecessary document to include. If he has a General IELTS he can include it without harm. |

Admirabellebnf: Hello,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I hope someone can advise me correctly please.
The DOB on my brother's passport is wrong while the one on the WAEC is correct. However, he wants to use his waec and passport for Canadian visa application now. How can he correct the one on the passport, please. He is in Dubai and can't travel to Nigeria now.
He was advised to do affidavit that the dob on his waec is wrong but I have second thoughts to avoid issues later. That on the passport would be the easiest to correct but he must travel back to Nigeria to do it. It is important for all data on one’s document to be consistent and correct |

I'm already learning programming and I decided to go and do a course on IT in Canada. I've been hearing that they might not give me visa based on that the courses aren't related. I was advised to take a course like project management. Please is that better and will I be able to switch when I eventually get there I think that advice is untrue and baseless. What would Mass Communication be without IT. You just need to find a way to relate Mass Communication with your IT skills or intention. I find your case quite easy |

Enddystar: Dear brothers & sisters in ministry, Please I'm at a crossroad & in need of some pro insights. I want to apply for my study permit.
My company is standing as my sponsor, they are willing to provide me company bank statement to backup my application.
My concern is that on the IRCC website (screenshot attached), they only mentioned "letter from the person or school giving you money" nothing was said about a company sponsoring their employee.
What do you think?
Thank you in advance I tell you IRCC didn’t put that option there as many people will come up with documents stating that their company would sponsor them. If your company wants to sponsor you, they can help you fulfill the many other items on that list. One is settlement of your at least one year fees, another is providing you with a bank draft for the fees and living expenses... those will satisfy proof of fund. |

Pyale: Hello my people, I need your advice here. I submitted my wife's SOWP on the 16th July, after she completed her upfront medical same day at Qlife in Lagos. We uploaded the e-medical information sheet along with other supporting documents. I logged into her portal yesterday, and noticed that review of eligibility has started, and under review of medical results, it read that they were reviewing the results of her medical exam. This morning, we received a medical request form (IMM1017E). I immediately called Qlife, and they confirmed that her medical result was transmitted to IRCC on the 21st June. On the form they sent, I notice that the IME number differs from the one on the information sheet that was given to my wife. I have just emailed Qlife to reconcile the differences, and transmit the updated medical result to IRCC. Has anyone here experienced this, and what would you advise we do next. Should we resubmit the e-medical information sheet to IRCC, assuming it's an oversight on their own part, or wait for Qlife to confirm they have resent the medical result to IRCC before contacting IRCC? Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Happened to me, just send webform and email, it will be updated |
