Thank you for taking the time to reply to my many questions.

The duration of my study is two years. Regarding home ties, I only stated in my SOP that my wife would financially take care of the family until I returned and that my company would also provide a monthly stipend to support my family’s upkeep.
I mentioned my dad, mum, and my company in SOP. Also listed my two houses with documents.

Is it not okay for someone to change their mind regarding their family joining them after 3 months? Or do you think I should further wait?

Hey guys, please I need some answers and guide here.

I applied for SP (Without my then pregnant wife and two kids) and got approved. Four days later, our baby came. In my application or SOP, I never mentioned that my wife was pregnant.

Now, I plan to apply for SOWP for my wife and SP for my two kids + the baby, in December/January as I've been in Canada for a month now. My questions are;

1) How much POF is required
2) Can I show the POF from the same bank account I used for my SP application?
3) Does my wife need to show a substantial amount in her bank account? or just any amount would do?
4) Can not mentioning about expecting a baby be interpreted as misrepresentation?
5) What documents do we need for this application?
6) Do they need upfront medicals and/or Police Character Cert?
7) Do I need to write another SOP, or this time my wife?
Would I need to apply from my portal (New IRCC portal) for them? Or Open a new GCKey account for them?

I understand these are alot of questions, but any advice regarding this situation would be appreciated.

this one na family issue not nairaland issue. Before you bring a man or woman abroad people should discuss all these things. The concept of huge monthly bills is alien to us in Nigeria. Rent is due on Tuesday

I am already in Canada; my husband and the kids are in Nigeria. my kids got there PPR yesterday, and we sent the Passport through Abuja for stamping, but they returned it sighting content short. Please I don't understand this. Are they supposed to pay for logistics/any fee they supposed to pay? who has experienced this before?

House pls I need your candid advice cos d whole thing is frustrating, I applied for study permit on July 3rd with my 2 children (9 & 11) and I got my PPR on September 6th while a letter of authorization was requested to be duely signed by my spouse which was uploaded on 10th September. So I just finished gathering docs to support my application in the client info section .. my SOP is 6pages and other docs supporting my explanation, work, academics, travel history , home ties , pics, career prospect , contain page 7-74 … wahala …lol��
Is this not too bulky for VO to verify d docs one after d oda and require a lot of time for decision to be made ?

The jobs you would need are In SE where u can get 22 per hour above. But be ready to work intercontinental shift of 12 hours (88 hrs biweekly).

Go to all those companies at SE (air liquid, shawcor, sobey, dynasty etc etc) with your CV at hand and submit hard copies.

U can try aerotek or randstad as well as they are job agencies.

Also, canadian pacific is recruiting actively for train conductors in calgary (107k annually) no experience required. They had their job fair and on the spot job offer on Thursday at Glenmore SE. I know of some Nigerians that got offer that same day.

You can still apply on line though as the advert was posted for calgary location yesterday as well.

Came to Canada as a student on the 9th of September, 2021.
I put in my hubby's Visitor's visa application on December 5th, when the rave of Visitor visa approval was high, few of my colleagues that put in theirs got theirs approved and mine was refused sometime in March 2022. Refusal reason is home ties and invalid reason for a visit.

I quickly submitted another Visitor's Visa on 5th of April, 2022 as my study permit was going to expire soon. Though I later got extension for Dec, 31st 2022.

I have been waiting for a response even up till now, nothing came. The GCM notes I requested showed nothing tangible.

A friend of mine convinced me to put in SOWP after hers got approved in less than a month. I finally did on the 16th of September.

I was hoping they'd cancel the visitors visa but nothing happened. I was so frustrated so I sent them a mail asking them if we did anything wrong to them that we don't know about

Before that, I erroneously omitted one file during the application so i sent it via webform. I got a message asking for complete details regarding the file and i provided it.
Came back from work today and about to go take a hot bathe when i decided to check his mail. I saw application updated. I rushed to his page and saw medicals updated and I gave a very huge hiss not knowing something else was there. I lazily scrolled down (I always do this before logging off everyday), and I saw application was approved!!!!!

God is never late!!!!! We are grateful and the testimony will get to everybody. Just pray for the perseverance and patience though because reading the mail i sent to IRRC now, it was very polite but it was a frustrating mail with a lirril bit of werey and guilt tripping

I kept sending them emails and webforms. I also did MP inquiry. I also got a consultant here in Canada to email them. I don't know which one worked.

For a mama traveling alone with an Infant, and has 16hours layover in Toronto before flying to her final destination, will you suggest I get an hotel near the Airport or Stay inside the Airport for the whole 16hours!.
Or is there any other option available.

No LOI for kids for VV only the spouse with sowp will get the LOI and it covers the kids too

Medical done on 29th August 2022 (because he couldn't book directly on the clinic's site, so the date was picked for him by the clinic)
SOWP application was submitted 24th September 2022.

His medical is yet to be uploaded

What can he do to get them to upload?

I'd like to know which collection office (Abuja or Lagos) should I submit my passport for stamping that has faster processing time.

If I'm sending to Abuja, where do I do the submission?

My biometrics was done in Lagos 5yrs ago, can't seem to find the slip. What do I replace it?

I've downloaded the consent form would sign it and attach.

Kindly guide me on what to do in order to avoid errors.
