highpriestess:....and u think he wakes up every morning to chase u. Well, that is what he made it look like to work on ur head. He has one or two babes he was tidying and just wanted to add you to the tally. So don't believe him chasing u for 5yrs. And finally, he got what he want and dropped u after fulfilling his goal. |
marvin906:He may be one of the lazy youths. |
oshdam2015:What is there to hide? The Prof knows the person she had the phone call wt. Weda u expose her or not, other lecturers already know the lady. |
rusher14:My brother, I will like you to calm down to reason this matter well ooo. Nigerian Youths are by far not lazy at all. That statement from our President is quite uncivilized and a show of disrespect to the youths. If u accept what PMB said at Westminister, it means that you as a person is a lazy youth. Let us take for instance most of the posts we have seen in this forum about some inventions made by the youths from all over the country, like car invention, drone, and so many others, have u heard government giving support to any of the inventors? How many functional research centres do we have in this country? What policy do the government put in place to favour what our people are producing here? A boy of 12years in Imo state build a rocket. Lunched it and went to a very far distance, landed in a farmland in one of the communities. The landing caused a very great panic in the community where people tot that the community has bn invaded by one Militant group like that. Wen it was noticed that this little boy did the research and used local materials to form this rocket, tell me what government has done to encourage this boy. That idea is now dead. In my secondary school days, a JSS2 boy built a radio station inside a damaged school locker. Anytime he puts on his own radio, it will cut off the transmission from a particular radio station and whatever he is saying will be heard on that radio frequency. Where is that knowledge today. He was threatened to stop that work and was also told to go and "destroy that nonsense you are wasting you time on". My brother, where is Mbaise Battery? Where is Dr. Abalaka HIV/AIDS drug? Anybody saying that Nigerian Youths are lazy, is just a very wicked person. PMB said it to cover his incompetence in providing a conducive and enabling environment for our talents to grow. Nigerian Youths are the most hard working all over the Continent (Africa) |
It really hurt to see ur partner bn used by another man/woman or display signs dat may suggest that there is someone else out there. It take the grace of God and great maturity to remain calm in such situation. It's only real men that know how to handle it. If you know that you are not man enough to handle the negative side of love. Let love be alone or else the love will hurt and even burn u beyond recognition. The man is not man enough. Now he has landed himself into a bigger trouble. Right now, his mind will be telling him the right thing he would have done instead of taking the wrong decision of disfiguring the lady. |
The owner of the thing no censor am. Na person wey the thing no concern come dey censor am. The kind wickedness ppl dey exhibit these days ehhh. Even satan don dey fear human beings. |
gozie112:Quoting is allowed. But don't forget to quote no matter which way it goes. Either ur way or mine. Remember, I'm not a fan to that Cee-C. I'm just predicting the way the game may be played. |
gozie112:Miracle or Tobi is supposed to win this game. Let me tell you what u don't knw. A male housemate will not win this season game. They will give it to a female housemate. If they fail to balance the game this way, the next season will be a flop. For them to carry the feminists along, they will make a woman to win. That is the game plan. Don't be surprised wen that "Madam Double Wahala" Cee-C takes tha 45mil home. It will either be her or Alex. |
priceaction:Ppl wt this kind of consumption mentality hardly contributes to the development of any society or even to themselves. No offense intended. If our inventors have this kind of mentality, we wouldn't be where we are today. For example, if the ppl that invented car said that no need of building a car since we already have a cart and horse that can transport ppl. Or those that improved on the already existing cars saying that no need of improving on the cars. You mentioned blender. Do u know that there were other means of grinding and blending b4 the blender u mentioned come into existence. What if the inventor had this kind of ur mentality. I call it consumption mentality. Pls try to have productive mentality. |
jegz25:Not taking it personal. Just advising you on how better to handle the programme. Talking of taking it personal, I will say that u took that BBN programme too personal. The programme is not relayed on every channel, so uo have many other channels to visit if u don't like the programme instead of always coming to talk down on the programme. I am not a fan to that programme, though I may tune in to it for about 5 to 10mins, but i dont come trolling on the programme at every slightest opportunity. |
PurestBoy:5 Ways to Handle Hyperactive Kids by Engaging their Body and Mind 1. Channelise their energy Find means to vent their energy and calm their minds. Children need to run around and play a lot. Invest in classes which help them use up their energy, physical activity, and soothe mind. You can also get your child an activity box to help them engage meaningfully and focus on play-based activities. This will help boost their memory skills and concentration – not to forget skill development as well! There are several companies that produce discovery boxes – one such is Flintobox. They make theme-based activity boxes for children between 2 and 12 years of age. Each month’s theme is unique and they produce a limited number of boxes every month. 2. Talk to your child in a simple manner Give them your complete attention and lend an ear to their concerns, interests, and apprehensions. Also get them to make to-do lists and break down the instructions given to them. 3. Help them deal with their feelings Children with hyperactivity find it difficult to handle anger, sadness, and worry. Help them to deal with their feelings and tell them what is good and what is bad. 4. Make them relax Minimize distractions and screen time. Take them out to green surroundings. Just be patient, take a deep breath, be determined to calm him/her, and put his/her high energy levels to good use. 5. Behaviour therapy Reward them for good manners, listening to you, sticking to a routine, encourage them to establish order, and let them know what is expected from him/her. The best way to deal with a hyperactive kid is to engage his mind and body, and channelise their energy. TV and video games do little to channel energy and are a major distraction. Here are 7 Games and Activities to Keep Children With Hyperactivity Busy and Motivated: Karate/Martial Arts To Channelise Energy ‘Karate’ means empty handed. When kids learn karate, they do different postures and ways to channelise their energy. It also helps them to concentrate and calm their minds. Building confidence, learning to focus, and developing enhanced coordination are just a few of the benefits of martial arts for hyperactive kids Outdoor sports for Constant Activity Outdoor sports like football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and badminton are great activity for hyperactive kids as there is no standing around time in these games. Your children will be constantly moving and using large muscle groups, keeping them focused and energy-drained. They also get to learn about team spirit, sportsmanship, and competition. If you can’t put them for any outdoor sports, make them take up running, which offers constant movement, health benefits, and a sense of accomplishment. Music to Calm the Mind Music is a great way to unwind after school. Music exercises both sides of the brain at the same time. Thus, calming the brain, which in turn makes your kids multi-task and store information better. When they are part of a band, or sing/play chorus, they learn to be a team player. Swimming for Self-Discipline Olympic gold-medalist Michael Phelps was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 9. He took up swimming to master a sport and vent his energy. Swimming is a great exercise for hyperactive kids as it offers constant movement, self-discipline, and calorie-burn. Theatre for Creative Engagement Drama or theatre is a creative activity to engage the hyperactive kids. It needs practice, co-ordination, sharp memory, stage confidence, and people skills. It helps the kids to take personal challenges ,and hone their public-speaking skills. Nature trails to Soothe the Body Nature has its own ways to soothe a hyperactive child. And trust us, kids will love to be in natural surroundings. Trekking, hiking, rock-climbing, rowing, etc. are great options for your bundle of high-energy. Opinionated:What kind of nonsense post is this. People will just wake up and start putting craps together for ppl to waste their time on. If I want to save DATA, I should activate AIRPLANE Mode. If I want to save battery, I should activated Airplane mode. What a silly instruction. What am I saving the battery and data for. Is it not to make calls and access to internet. Now wen my phone is on Airplane mode, I am shut out of these. So what will be the need for all the savings? |
A member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has praised the Federal Government for reintroducing history into the primary and secondary school curricular. Oyintiloye told reporters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital that history had been neglected at both primary and secondary school levels. The lawmaker said teaching of History was essential to a nation and its citizens. “I want to commend the Minister of Education for inaugurating new curricular for history in primary and secondary schools. “No nation can develop without teaching his young ones history; history reflects the past and situates the present’ “Without historians, we would not know much about our past, our heroes, our ancestors, their heroic deeds or their epic mistakes. “When pupils and students learn about the values that built the country they live in, the wars that were fought to protect certain ideals, the triumphs and failures of different leaders and societies, they become better for it. “They can better understand how their own society was shaped, and what role they should play. “With a knowledge of history young people have the opportunity to learn from the tragic mistakes of past individuals and societies, and to prevent the same mistakes being made over again.” The History curriculum, unveiled by Education Minister, Adamu Adamu recently is divided into three levels: Primary 1 -3 ( lower basic) , Primary 4- 6 ( middle basic) and Junior Secondary School 1- 3 (Upper basic). Oyintiloye, the House Committee Chairman on Information and Strategy, said the new curriculum would awaken the consciousness of Nigeria’s unity in the minds of upcoming generations. http://thenationonlineng.net/lawmaker-lauds-reintroduction-of-history/ |
jamesbridget13:You are welcome dear. Be blessed. |
AlwaysUltraPad:You are correct. If a guy wins it again, some of those feminists will start their protest online accusing the game is just for men and that the female housemates are denied winning. They will eventually convince most other women and they will start pulling out from voting. U kw what will happen if the women stop watching this programme |
jamesbridget13:Sis, your calculation is wrong. When we were doing elementary mathematics, we were told to bring all figures to a uniform unit of measurement before solving the problem. So u did not apply this order. 65k is in month while 75k is in year. To make it uniform: Salary: 65,000 x 12 = 780,000p.a Rent: = 75,000p.a If u check what percentage of 780,000 is 75,000, u will get about 8.35% So u spends 8.35% of your annual salary for ur annual rent. |
dman4mdmoon:Just the same way you will like to show your teacher that you know more than him and try to correct everything he says. That has bn the reason for your constant low grades in school. |
Faithway10:Excuse has to be granted before making the move. U are on a parade ground with military men that beliv in discipline and orderliness. And u don't say "No" to the man holding gun. The boy must be a very stupid boy. His service period should be extended to 6months for him to learn how to be discipline. Now his head has bn broken, let him go and fight the army guy. |
edeXede:I see no ambiguity in the question. The question is what percentage of ur salary can pay ur annual house rent. |
dman4mdmoon:The question is very clear and straight to the point unless u are finding it difficult to understand. |
inoki247:Make a hole on ur bathroom door. Conceal it from others. When ur sisters and other female members of ur family went to bath, quietly open it, start peeping them from there. It a good search engine for blue films. You can also snap the show, share it on Nairaland and add the link so we will know the source of ur video. |
AlwaysUltraPad:Big Brother will not allow a man to win this season game. They will purposely allow a female housemate to win it just to balance the winning. If they allow a guy to win it again, they many female viewers will lose interest in the show |
That Caliber of robbers can not be arrested dat way. It will take months if not years to catch those robber if our policemen decide to do thorough job. So free those ppl u want to save ur face. I believe those guys are the owners of the abandoned vehicles. I pity any of them that refused to make police entry wen his car was stolen. |
Efficient5:U mean u are a Lawyer in Nigeria? Do you think this kind of case will be tried in a local kindred meeting where u will bring up this kind of defense and it will save u. Oga, we are talking of Nigeria Court. Or do u think we are talking of sane countries where they will have the patience to listen to all defense no matter how irrelevant it may sound? Just wait, en EFCC but u in their cell, you will sell everything that is in your village and bring them the proceed with abeg, still your freedom will not come soon. Oga ooo, this place na Naija ooo. |
My own annoyance is, Why would ppl give ugly person tribal marks. Is that not the height of wickedness? For those that are beautiful, I have no problem with that, but for the already ugly ones, why adding "scary" to "ugliness"...why? |
GloriaNinja:....and u get better things to do and u sleep, drink and eat Nairaland morning and night. |

Indian police say a 16-day-old baby boy believed to have been snatched by a monkey has been found drowned in a well. The infant was sleeping under a mosquito net at his home in the eastern state of Odisha on Friday when he was taken by a rhesus macaque, a species with a reddish-pink face common across India. “The mother is saying that she saw a monkey take away her child. She raised an alarm but the monkey quickly leaped over the roof and vanished out of sight,” police sub-inspector S.M. Baral told AFP. “We launched a search along with the forest officers. Yesterday (Sunday) the baby was spotted inside the well dead,” she told AFP. A post-mortem showed the infant died of asphyxia due to drowning, Baral said. “Since there were no injury marks on the baby, maybe the monkey dropped him in the well.” No case was registered as the “family is convinced it’s the monkey that killed their child”, the officer said. The incident happened in the village of Talabasta in Cuttack district. Media reports said monkeys have become a growing nuisance in the area where the child was taken. In March last year, schools were closed in Odisha’s Kendrapada district because of frequent monkey attacks, the Hindustan Times said. The same month a government employee died from head injuries after a monkey leapt at him from a tree, the daily reported. Though revered in the majority Hindu nation, monkeys are a menace in many cities, trashing gardens and office and residential rooftops and often viciously attacking people for food. Activists say the invasion of the animal’s natural habitats by urban populations has caused the problem. |
