Some NINs members are so concerned with the packing shit duties of their fellow NIDs that they will stop at nothing including fasting and praying to obtain visas to foreign countries to come and stop us.

honestly, i don't even know if i should laugh or be angry at this papaya fellow. He's got some nerve.

true, he's got some points about people respecting their country, but why single out Nigerians abroad. Is it only Nigerians in diaspora that highlight the problems o Nigeria. Even the leaders say similar things now.

ah ah.
Haba, you should be more understanding of his plight. Its one of the symptoms of Visa Rejection Syndrome or better know as Sour Grapes Disease.

Oga PTH,

How could your pigeons have flown away from you to other guys and you didn't do anything shocked shocked shocked who dumped who lipsrsealed
lol it wasnt a question of who dumped who, we werent in a relationship proper. I waited too long to pop the question using the pigeon theory until one fella came and snatched her away. A week later she asked me why i didnt summon up the courage to approach her in time.

since then, my guy you see pigeon? Catch her and tie her two wings firmly to a cage!
IslamRe: God and Allah: Are they the same? by PTH(m): 7:14pm On Aug 18, 2007
Pacifier:
Personally, i think Allah and God are the same. For the two words simply tend to express, the same fundamental concept of the Creator, in different languages.
this is inherently false, for the God of the bible is not just a concept, HE IS and HE IS a rewarder of those who serve Him.

@ PTH
I appreciate your replies so far, but u have it all wrong. HE CAME TO ME. HE said he wants a serious commited relationship, even as of that day He said the same thing. I've been hurt twice in a row with him now being the third. Now do you expect me to just fall inlove anyhow? I have to love smartly. I like the guy, I would love him all things being equal. I'm in the medical field too, it has nothing to do with his profession. I was actually having doubt about him because of that profession. Doctors don't make money, at least initially, if that is where you're heading to. it will take him 7 years from now to even start practising. i stand to make triple to quadruple of what he'll make for those number years, with a post graduate degree in my field, his money won't come close to mind in the next 8 years.

This is a matter of the heart not pocket or a perceive status. I'll rather be inl ove and happy with a teacher than stay with man because he's a doctor. I don't think women are still doing that, at least i hope so.
Thanks for setting the records straight Uyai, i now get your point. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

hmmmmm seems you've been on the unlucky side of love for a while now. I'll suggest you just let this guy go and give relationships a breather for a while. Trust when i say it will be very hard to stay alone when you see all your friends hanging out with their Bfs but if its what you need to get urself emotionally ready for the next guy, its a small price to pay. I did so myself for 2 yrs and now i'm finding it extra hard to let go of my single lifestyle now that i'm so used to it.

Let the guy go, he's just going to keep hurting you. The red flag was when he mentioned infidelity might be an issue, what guy who truly loves you will be thinking of infidelity as an issue when you had even barely started the relationship? Could it be he had his ex in mind all that time but was merely using u as a stop gap?

iyes:
@PTH,

grin grin grin grin YOU'RE SO FUNNY!

I BET, NO MATTER HOW FEW PIGOENS ARE OUT THERE, YOURS WILL REMAIN YOURS. IF YOU CAGE IT UP FORCEFULLY BY ANY MEANS, IT'LL ESCAPE WITH THE FIRST AND SLIGHTEST OPPORTUNITY THAT PRESENTS ITSELF.
My dear, after a few yrs of unsuccessfully using the pigeon theory and watching other guys fly away with my pigeons i have since decided to modify it. Once you catch a pigeon, tie it down!

Sorry, won't be going that route with you.

If you cannot see the meaningless premises then chances are that you won't see them even if I reproduced them one after the other.

And who is talking about my being right or wrong making a difference to you?

Try to attend to the misinformation you tried to sell at https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-72546.32.html.
Grow up buddy, this is an anonymous forum for debate not a place for immature wimps to go searching for non-existent "meaningless premises" and snooping around for misinformation. Sorry but i wont be joining you in turning this thread into another "misinformation" hunt.

If you cant knuckle down and see issues without using the prism of iindividual bias then have fun on your own.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Still Has Feelings For His Ex by PTH(m): 5:09pm On Aug 18, 2007
my  dear Iyes, gone are the days when you let a pigeon lose hoping that when it comes back to you it is yours. There are so few pigeons today that to set one lose is a major disaster waiting to happen. Trust me you wont get that pigeon back.

If you think a pigeon is yours, hold it tight.

@ topic, Uyai should let this guy go, i think she's in it mainly because he's a medical student. Like TOH said, its probably the feeling of dating a doctor that is keeping her there since she herself has confirmed she does not love him. why tying a poor guy up and wailing that he does not give you time when u dont love him in the first place?

@PTH,

You have chosen to agree with what is convenient for you and for the wrong conclusions based on meaningless premises I guess you don't see anything wrong there, abi?
do credibility a favour, pay better attention to the issues rather than choosing to latch unto my every statement. Where are the meaningless premises you talk about? mention them and we can carry this debate on from there as mature minds rather than mindless bickering over nothing. Whether you are right or wrong, it makes no difference to me.

Haba, Oga afam, that was harsh. Chidichris only brought in another dimension to your original post. Except you guys have previous issues

Why is everyone spoiling for a fight on nairaland these days? lipsrsealed
i'm not surprised, certain individuals are more interested in spotting mistakes than in bothering themselves with issues, a classic past time of those who cant bear to be wrong in a debate. Chidichris makes valid points that should not be allowed to petter out into another mudslinging match.

The bottomline of his points resonate with me, it is not enough for commentators to cry about Nigerians changing their views, our leaders are the problem! The day we get things right with leadership then we can begin to think seriously about development. I always maintain, things were okay in Nigeria until 1979, what radical change of attitude can we attribute to our downward spiral?

I'm quite sure English Language isn't your mothertongue and before you learnt the very diction you now use, people were able to communicate effectively in their various languages. You don't have to be so ecstatic about English; afterall, there are languages that are richer and more refined than it (e.g. Arabic).
English language is my mother tongue. In what way is the arabic richer and more refined? In the fact that English is the most widely used language in existence today?

While you think of posting your next reply, kindly throw more light on the issue of trinity and what position Jesus Christ supposedly assumes in it. I hope to get educated.

I said all that in sarcasm, it is NINs usually with their heads buried in the sand who advocate that the citizens must "get up and do something" instead of waiting for government when in serious countries the government is held accountable to the people.
We don't need windmills, we need a more efficient PHCN. We must be the only nation on earth to suffer power outages despite having a large dam, huge gas reserves and uranium in commercial quantities.

nice thread. I'd known my ex for 2 years before we started dating officially. About the time i started my final yr my brother mentioned her to me and i decided to make a move. One evening a few days to the christmas vacation i ended up walking over to the female block and there she was standing with her hands in her pocket. I walked up to her, asked her if she was going home, she said she would be available for the week and we arranged to meet up that night. Needless to say 3 weeks later we started dating officially. I found out later that we both had had secret crushes on each other for a very long time! shocked

@williwilly, that's another problem in Naija, mental health issues are rarely discussed. Many Nigerians have real mental health problems, but don't get diagnosed because unless the person is overtly mad (i.e., biting people and eating human waste) nobody dares say he/she is crazy. When will our leaders start investing in mental health facilities in our country?
the country is already filled to bursting with mental health facilities, there are churches on every street.
