Sincere 9gerian:
The truth is that I am not being paid but I'll be so glad to start earning some good pay for doing what I love to do. In fact, not only me, many others who are doing great in pushing back Tinubu warriors on this forum deserves some pay. If Abati, Lai Muhammed and co are being paid, why not others?

But even without pay, I'll continue to state my position on every issue on NL as far as my current work schedule allows me. In some weeks time, you may begin to see less and less of my posts online and that will be SOLELY because of change in work schedule, nothing more. I believe in the govt of GEJ and wherever I find myself, online or offline, I'll continue to do MY BIT to support him.

You continue to sink deeper and deeper in your self-dug pit.

Like I posted up there, it does not appear like you do this for free. It's very easy to see.

You're not the only person that supports Jonathan on this forum. It's not so hard to guess who's doing it for altruistic reasons or those doing it for their daily bread. The clear signs are there.

Sincere 9gerian:
Now, for the first time since you started working for Tinubu, you'v earned your pay. I give to you on this thread for working VERY HARD to dig up that post of mine. Now Tinubu is truely earning the dividends of his investments in ya life.

Unlike many others, especially Tinubu warriors, I accept my mistakes when it is shown conclusively that I erred. I erred on this thread and Pukkah won. Congratulations Pukkah. States may set up anti-corruption agencies whose jurisdiction will be restricted to the state. But the case of Rochas is a bit funny because he's doing it in RETALIATION to what he claimed the FG is doing with the EFCC.

Well, it's good that you've owned up and admitted your inconsistency. It's not like you had so much choice anyway. It was an open and close case which is as clear as daylight. But you see, you're an impossible fellow. Rather than eat your humble pie in a quiet manner, you resorted to labeling me as working for Tinubu. I will return to this later.

If you're getting the flak at your PPP job for this gaffe, as you stated that you'd be winding down your posts in the days to come, my offer is still there. Send your cv and I'll ensure that your drive is utilized in a more positive and fulfilling way. The politicians that you're burning the midnight oil for are not worth the trouble. They use and dump people all the time.

I've said this because it's ludicrous to claim that you do all this for Jonathan for 'free' because your 'work schedule' permits it. I wonder what kind of an engaging and promising career would make a young man devote so much time to 'free online support' for Jonathan.

That 'free service' also ensures that you see nothing right in whatever Fasola, Amaechi, Aregbesola, Rochas do or whatever Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, Buhari say. Haba! Are Obasanjo, Tambuwal and Sanusi Lamido also working for Tinubu? Reflect!

That same 'free service' ensures that you're not guided by principles (as this thread has shown). It is wherever Jonathan or the Head of the PPP Team goes whether or not it is right or not. Of course it's the same 'free service', when the heat on Jonathan on fighting corruption was getting too much, that made you challenge state governments to fight corruption but made you lampoon Rochas when he mooted the idea of an anti-corruption agency! You would have praised Peter Obi if he was the one that toyed with the idea.

You claim that you're on 'free service' although your disposition is dictated by external factors but believe that others who don't support Jonathan or who fault your views are being paid by Tinubu. Is this fair? What's your proof of this? Is it not silly to say I work for Tinubu just because I pointed out the hypocrisy and inconsistency in your posts about the Imo state Governor?

I've told you many times, I don't care about Tinubu. He does not determine my views. The soft support I have for the opposition is because you need virile opposition in order to get the best of democracy. Rather than recognise this fact, some of you adopt the wrong strategy of abusing, insulting, and tongue lashing anyone that opposes Jonathan. In doing this, you forget that, whereas the opposition can choose to be loud and possibly unrestrained, the incumbent can't afford to resort to fisticuffs. And this is why the strategy of the incumbent, and your likes, has actually created more enemies for Jonathan.

I don't earn a dime from any politician and may God punish whoever is lying on this thread (I challenge you to repeat the same thing). So you can imagine my anger when people like you describe everybody as Tinubu's boys. I'm too big for that! God has lifted me above such dirty and menial jobs!

How many challenges have I put to you in the last 24 hours?

A man that said he was 'weak' when he realized Babangida was interested in contesting for the President under PDP.

A man that consulted IBB for advice when he was the Deputy Governor.

A man that paid the pension of old, retired British colonialists.

A man that pardoned a convicted treasury looter and thief.

A man that absolved a terrorist, bomb-throwing group without any form of investigation.

A man that travels all over the place with large and bloated contingents.

A man that's shielding a Minister that has been indicted by the House of Reps.

A man who blames everybody except himself for everything that's wrong.

A man who promised to unite Nigeria but under whose tenure Nigeria has become most divided and clannish.

We warned then but we were ignored.

With Obasanjo's letter, are the chickens not coming home to roost? Some of the paid agents even abused us.

Still watching.

Shouldn't it be the other way round? We are on top at the moment and Tinubu slaves like you should be sending their CV's to us. Ribadu had to come back to take up a job with the presidency after playing around with Tinubu.

You're just littering everywhere with meaningless posts.

You failed to address all the issues I raised. Posting should not be about quantity but quality. Oops, I forgot they use the number of posts to pay you.

Again:

1. Show me only one post where I have attacked the person of Jonathan.

2. Prove that I've never criticized Tinubu's actions or those of the ACN/APC.

3. Let's stay off posting on Nairaland Politics section for 4 weeks to see whose pay/earnings will be affected.

4. Attack some of the policies of Jonathan. Or are you saying they are all perfect?

Meanwhile, your attention is needed on this thread where you've again disgraced yourself and proved that you're a paid agent. This is why it's ridiculous that a mere paid and inconsequential agent is saying he's on top and calling for cv. This is laughable!

Sincere 9gerian: Rochas should better get down to serious business of governance and stop playing to the gallery.

You're so inconsistent.

So setting up an agency is not serious business?

See what you posted in the past:

https://www.nairaland.com/1277391/how-state-governor-fighting-corruption

Sincere 9gerian: I just dont understand why state governors are not also fighting corruption or why Nigerians dont demand that their state governors also fight corruption. As far as I know there is NO LAW prohibiting state governors from fighting corruption.

Some people may ask how can state governors fight corruption. Well, there are several ways, including:

1 Firing of corrupt political appointees. If the state governors can hire, they can also fire. Unfortunately, reports of appointees of governors fired because of corruption are rare. Why?

2 Expose corrupt public officials in their states

3 Set up state anti-corruption agencies or departments. If state governors can set up LASTMA, LAWMA, etc why not anti-corruption agencies/departments. Such agencies may serve to expose or prevent corruption, or even prosecute if possible. If they cant prosecute they can hand over suspects and evidence to the police or EFCC

4 Transparency and due process. For instance, state governors can institute due process office and transparent processes for contract awards. They can also domesticate the freedom of information bill.

In fact, there is so much state governors can do to curb corruption in their domains. If we say corruption is endemic in Nigeria, it means all hands must be on deck to curb it. Even as we demand that the federal govt do more to curb corruption, we should not forget our respective state governors.

Haven't you again demonstrated that you're a slave of Jonathan and lack objectivity? Honestly, you don't deserve the money (our money) that your directionless PPP (Pay Per Post) fetches you.

I don't envy the miserable and contradictory lives of mercenaries. It is all about bread or its crumbs. Sad.

The Head of Media to Okupe has denied what Okupe allegedly said about Jonathan. I hope the Media Assistant to the Head of Media to Okupe won't later deny what the Head od Media has just denied.

Does this now mean all the posts on this long thread was hot air https://www.nairaland.com/1545638/president-jonathan-mandela-doyin-okupe
Politics / Okupe Denies Equating Jonathan With Mandela by Pukkah: 7:29am On Dec 11, 2013
Okupe, has denied equating his principal with the late former President of South Africa, Dr. Nelson Mandela.

Head of Media in Okupe’s office, Mr. Bamidele Salam, said in a statement that the claim credited to Okupe was an invention by some individuals whose motive, he said, was to mislead innocent users of the social media.

“I check (sic) through the history of Nigeria among our past and present leaders, the only one we can call our Mandela is President Jonathan. There is no President in Nigeria that has sacrificed 13 hours to discuss with ASUU,” Okupe allegedly said in the statement that had gone viral on the social media.

While giving a background to this statement purportedly likening President Jonathan to the former South African President, Okupe said the AIT programme where he allegedly made the statement was recorded at about 5pm on Thursday, December 5, whereas the death of the South African leader was announced almost four hours later.

He, therefore, wondered how he could have spoken about a living Mandela as if he were dead and then compared him with any other person.

“It is clear that the authors of these false quotes are linked by the same desire to mislead innocent members through a consistent pattern of published falsehood in a manner as to portray Okupe as an enemy of adherents of a particular faith, geo-political zone or some other noble causes in the polity,” Salam’s statement read in part.

Salam said it was unfortunate that many online commentators believed what he described as false publication and continued to make disparaging comments in response to the untrue posting.

He also alleged that a group, known as Arewa Vanguard, had also lied by quoting Okupe as saying at a press conference that the ongoing strike by the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities was being sponsored by a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and a former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.

He said the statement was obviously from the imagination of the author who, he said, had misled a number of people into making invidious remarks about the Presidential aide, whose statements about the ASUU strike, according to him, are always signed and presented to the media.

^^^^^May be it was the accident that I earlier referred to. It was a very bad day. Billows of smoke rented the air and many people were roasted.

A responsible government ought to have launched an inquiry into the immediate and remote cause of the crashes and the avoidable deaths and taken specific actions to prevent a recurrence.

Alas, nothing has changed except may be the police check point but the crashes, and the deaths, continue.

Another potential accident that's waiting to happen on that axis is at Berger Bus stop where scores of pedestrians flock on to the road to cross. I don't know why government can't put up a pedestrian bridge at that point. Or is it until another avoidable tragedy happens?

The other side of the bus stop is not saner. Motor park touts sprinkle themselves on the roads in the name of whatever. Buses coming into Lagos park carelessly and pull out dangerously. Can't some agency or government instill discipline in these areas?

In 2011, 3,000 people reportedly died in 2,235 accidents. This is an excerpt from the page:

How have some countries brought road accident rates to very negligible rates? With prayers?

chaircover: I wonder why there are so many accidents along that stretch of road. I dont know if it is the gradient of the road or drivers increasing speed at what they consider the start of the expressway.

I hope someone somewhere is looking into it.

Your observations are right.

Many drivers are reckless and the gradient of the stretch does not help matters. There are no road markings and the place is not lit at night. The location of the Mobil filling station, which makes motorists turn off and into the express right before the slope, may also be a contributory factor.

I doubt if anyone is looking into it. If they were, something should have been done after the major accident that took over 40 lives around 2010.

kolidave: I live by the estate beside that express road and That road takes a lot of lives every year especially at this time of the year. I believe the express way is possessed, evil hands are on that express way. God save us all

Hmmmm....from that spot downn to otedola estate axis then towards dat berger is evil possessed! May God not let us fall into the durgeon of the enemy in Jesus' name. Pastors/Imams need to pray for that route....its getting too much...

Your belief about the express being possessed is far fetched.

So many things are responsible for the accidents. In addition to the factors earlier identified, look at the motorists, state of the road and the type and condition of the vehicles.

Consider the FRSC check point and the hordes of people that cross the express at Berger Bus stop. Throw the several hawkers into the mix. Don't forget the numerous trucks bearing containers and fuel tanks. Don't forget the potholes that motorists dodge.

All these make the stretch between Alausa and Berger to be dangerous.
