What's wrong with it? |
winniz: I said he should be given a Sack letter if he refuses to resign he should apply force. GEJ has the right to sack him after all OBJ sacked Ministers during his tenure and their was no process involved, so why would GEJs own be different? You can still do your PPP job without having to advertise your ignorance so boldly and nauseatingly. Your ID was created just this week but this is not how to hit the ground running! Haba! Keep quiet or simply show a draft of your subsequent posts to a JSS2 student before you hit the 'submit' button. You are embarrassing the Office of the President and Nigerians. |
atlwireles: his administration has in two years and eight months performed better than any administration past and present in the country. Two years and eight months? See 'smartness' o. Jonathan became the President in May 2010 after acting from February to May 2010. If we remove the acting period, Jonathan's administration (total) will be 4 years old in May this year (2014). He should stop using 2 years and eight months as the basis of assessing himself please. Or didn't he run federal budgets in 2010 and 2011? Why can't he use 3 years 8 months or, if he wants to be very strict, 4 years? |
okpara ugo: Sanusi is not being punished for being patriotic but for breaching his oath of secrecy. This is so funny. How did Sanusi breach oath of secrecy? No conjectures please. And please don't come from the superfluous angle that he leaked a letter that had copies in the CBN, Finance Ministry, Presidency, etc to the press. Some ignorant persons have also foolishly said that he should have discussed the issue verbally with Jonathan since he had access to him. Is a verbal conversation formal? |
igbeke: what is lopsided in d fed budget? even if dat is true, wat happens to deir monthly allocation from d federation account dat ends up in some few's pocker?Continue to talk carelessly and tactlessly. You are part of those creating problems for Jonathan. I focused on the issues while you focused on tribalism. The tribalism has also led you to confuse or replace monthly allocation with federal budget. The tribalism has blinded you to forget that the region you're calling parasites and beggars is where Sambo, Tukur, Jang, Suswam, Shema, Mark, etc come from. The tribalism has eaten you so deep that you don't realize that Jonathan cannot win without that region of 'beggars'. Choose one: 2015 or being on your own. You shouldn't be moving forward and backward at the same time. You can't scare anyone with separation. And, oh yes, continue to talk carelessly and create more problems for Jonathan. |
eGuerrilla: It is without hesitation that I revise my earlier position concerning Sanusi's much touted compliance.Sanusi is too obstinate and sure-footed to be pushed out by Jonathan. Sanusi has his failings but Jonathan is not handling this well at all. You must be very careful when you want to deal with a mosquito that's on your 'wetin call'. The unremitted $10.8 billion takes the wind out of Jonathan's sail and also exposes the likes of Diezani Madueke, Okonjo-Iweala, Jonathan himself and the NNPC GMD. For now, there's no way Jonathan can deal with Sanusi without undoing himself. Sanusi knows this and is using it to his advantage especially with the autonomy of the CBN which makes it impossible for Jonathan to single-handedly remove him. |
nairaman66: Following NNPC’s repeated denials, a joint it was revealed that a reconciliation process was ongoing, and had so far established that it was not $49.8 billion that had not been repatriated to the Federation Account but $10.8 billion.Where was the $10.8 billion before Sanusi's letter? What has been done to those who didn't remit the $10.8 billion? Do you agree that $10.8 billion is a whole lot of money? Now, read carefully and answer carefully. No long story. Just answers. |
Just imagine if this news item had been reported by Punch or Sahara Reporters, the PPP team would have been attacking the source rather than address the issues. Now, they're are attacking Sanusi. Who are the people that DID not make the remittances? What has been done to them? Why should Sanusi be forced out simply because he blew the whistle? |
jamace: If you don't know what OBJ is fighting for, then you must be a kid. And if you don't know the ulterior motive behind Sule Lamido's sudden outburst, you are naive. You were the one that narrowed it down, in an unprecedented naïve manner, to PDP or being in the same party. You didn't address the issues but simply opined that Kwankwaso attacked him because he's in APC. You didn't attach any condition. You changed the tune when I informed you of others who, despite being in PDP, have been attacking Jonathan. |
Jman06: In a saner clime, Sanusi would have since resigned without being told to.Oh yes, Sanusi should resign but what of those who failed to make the remittances? What would happen to them in a 'saner' clime? |
luvinhubby: When it`s obvious that Sanusi is an incompetent liar. Time has revealed that his `so called` bank reforms was a big sham. Two things: "it has since been established that it was not $49.8 billion that had not been remitted to the Federation Account, but $10.8 billion, which was still in dispute and by any stretch of imagination was still a large sum." "Sanusi also expressed his surprise to the president that he was the one being asked to resign instead of the president to ask those responsible for the non-remittance of the funds to resign." |
jamace: Kwankwanso is in APC and Jonathan is in PDP. Therefore, it is only a mad man who will expect Kwankwanso to praise his opponent (Jonathan).Jonathan is in PDP. Obasanjo, who wrote that scathing 18-page letter to Jonathan is also in PDP. Sule Lamido, Jigawa state governor, who said the following about Jonathan is also in PDP: “To us we are on a rescue mission, because what we are seeing today is a mad man inside petrol filling station with lighter in his hand, the threat he poses is very lethal and would not spare anyone" |
ideyvexnow: All the years Yorubas and Hausas ruled this country, nobody criticized them like this, but just 3 years of Ijaw/Igbo rule and you guys can't even relax.Which one is Ijaw/Igbo rule again? In what capacity is Igbo ruling? Do you care to explain? |
malele: All because of oil, this national conference, let everybody control the resources in his state, so that stupid people won't be coming to media to talk rubbishWhat has been happening to the part you control? Having competent people at the helm of affairs is more important than resource control. See what someone wrote: "Data released by the Energy Information Administration of the United States Department of Energy, showed that out of $1.15trillion released from oil by the 12 OPEC member states, Nigeria gets $90b, being the forth highest in the team in 2012. The Federal Inland Revenue Service also collected about N5 trillion as tax in 2012. While in 2011 the total revenue from oil was $65b with N4.62 trillion realised as tax the same year. Yet with all these income from oil & tax, and increased in oil production of 2.4 million bpd with over $100 per barrel, Nigeria became a worst country for a child to be born and saddest people on earth with dilapidated infrastructure as our lots and ever increasing debts profile both foreign and domestic with nothing to show for it physically. While some serious OPEC countries who also made great money from oil at the same time as ours are recording tremendious progresses." Can you see competence in the way the country is being run? |
Dominiquez: An empty barrel makes a lot of noise. What's your take on the two issues raised by Kwankwaso: the lopsided federal budget and his account of what Jonathan said Lady Clinton told him? |
Demdem: Jonathan is surely a goner 2015.But they replied Obasanjo. If they ignore this direct fire on their boss then something is amiss. @post Kwankwaso is getting more direct by the day. Check what he said in the past: "Every rational person knows that we need change. The PDP used to be an umbrella for everybody but it is now a hat for one man. Some people are holding the country hostage so we must come together to rescue it.” “Nigerians, irrespective of where they come from have being existing as friends and brothers for long but when somebody from the South-south took over the mantle of leadership of the country, things started drifting." At another time, Gov Sule Lamido said this: “To us we are on a rescue mission, because what we are seeing today is a mad man inside petrol filling station with lighter in his hand, the threat he poses is very lethal and would not spare anyone" Hmmm, na wa o. |
ISpiksDaTroof: I see you beat me to the punch.Yes o. The guy is thrashing about wildly because he knows he will soon be trashed and his cash flow hopes will be dashed. This is why he has been so rash and sassy. Well, no matter how brash or rash he gets, he will continue to be lashed until his PPP appointment is sashed to the ashes of the past. #StellaStinks |
Sincere 9gerian: Thrash. We do need an approval that existed only on paper. Yar Adua was not president for 3 months. He was there for atleast 2 and half years. If we didn't see anything concrete on ground within that period, I'm sorry the silly approval means nothing. It is called 'trash' and not 'thrash'. May be Premium Times should also look at the papers you submitted to get the Chief PPP job. In any case, what's trash to a fake doctor is sensible to intelligent and unbiased minds that are not paranoid or flapping about like a headless chicken in the face of an impending and inevitable loss of job. Let's continue to clean up Nigeria. Start from whoever whether Tinubu, Buhari, Patience Jonathan, Obasanjo, Sanusi Lamido, Stella Oduah, Turai, Amaechi or Goodluck Jonathan. The order of exposing them does not matter. Meanwhile, Jonathan's government should also drive the reform the Judiciary such that pending cases of Bankole, Fani-Kayode, etc and other suspects can be dispensed with on time. They should be sentenced or acquitted. Again, the fight against corruption must start from somewhere. |
Eziachi: This is politics, we are not kids. This is no longer fighting of a corrupt official. Those doing this are using her to get to Jonathan and her biggest crime is that she came from the wrong tribe. Tell me the last two people that was the minister of this portfolio before her and tell me something about them and why they weren't subjected to this kind of vitriol. This type of thing is why corruption festers in Nigeria, because people hide behind fighting corruption, but what they are doing is just being Nigerians-tribal warriors.Which tribe is the wrong one again? Is there any Nigerian tribe that's free of corruption? Obasanjo sacked a Yoruba minister or two because of corruption and the issue of tribalism didn't come up. Corruption must be fought whichever way. If a tribe believes that Stella is being witch-hunted because of her tribe, the offended tribe should also expose all the corrupt officials that come from the tribe that's attacking Stella. But, for now, #StellaStinks |
Eziachi: Her crime now seems to be that she dare transformed Akanu Ibiam airfield Enugu into an international airport. I may be wrong, but her problems seems to started with the upgrade of this airport. The upgrade of Enugu airport to an international one started with President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. Yar'adua not only approved the upgrade, he also approved the Enugu airport as a regional hub and approved the release of funds. Perhaps we should make the conspiracy theory more sensational by saying Yar'Adua's problems (sickness and eventual death) also started with the upgrade of the airport? I don't think it's the airport. She may have stepped on toes in some other areas. Sometimes, enemies come from unlikely places. What if some group from her state that would nominate another minister was the one behind this? Besides, conspiracy or not, why can't the woman stay free of scandals? Was it the airport, or other imaginary persons, that goaded her into the armoured car issue and now the one of certificate(s)? If Jonathan likes let him continue to hold on to her as if she's the only one that can serve as a Minister from the state. The stain which she has brought to the administration and to Nigerians is too much. #StellaStinks |
But why is Sanusi not extending his threat to resign to the letter to Jonathan on NNPC's $49b? |
Have you been to a Microfinance Bank? |
just imagine all the hell this woman has been put through just because she built an international airport in enugu. well, we are watching if they successfully remove her, she must be replace with a tougher igbo lady someone who will even upgrade other airports in igboland to international airports that is the minimal for us anything less, we drop jona sharp sharp
Is this about the upgrading of an airport? How come you've not turned Late President Umaru Yar'adua, who approved the upgrade and release of the initial money, into a god? #StinkingStella |
Pamcrest: it's her fault tho, she should just resign nd preserve d little integrity she has left.Does she still have any integrity left? #StellaStinks gregg2: Hello everyone . . . can we wait to hear her own side too?Yeah, she's started to tell the story from her own side by deleting and amending some things from her side. #StellaStinks |
The Senate has absolved itself. The ball is now in the court of Stella's oga. Let's see how he will play the ball. He's not a good striker though. #StellaStinks |
Geniro: And you still remain a paid goon. Enough said.Expecting someone like you to make sense is like expecting natural snow to fall in Nigeria. When I see people like you around, I seek no further proof of the failure in the educational system in Nigeria. |
It looks like this Princess has no honour at all. #StellaStinks |
Omexonomy: One common sh1t among these poster so far is tha they are all from southwest. What you wrote here does not show that you went to two schools for lectures and exams. Every line of your post is riddled with errors. Honestly, someone like you should not be close to where they are discussing certificate forgery. That you could concoct such a post to weaken the onslaught on a suspect of certificate forgery speaks volumes. I pity this country. |
tomakint: Let me start from the bottom and then trace it up, first thing first, I am not defending the piece as you wildly assumed neither am I the author but just linking up events together to arrive at my conjectures, Nigeria remains an artificial creation of the British whereby their stooges from the North were delicately placed in 'control' you may google 'Glover's Army' which consist mainly of the Hausas! But that aside, I am of the strong opinion that 95% of what the article entails are FACTS that cannot be refuted, why? Obasanjo still remains a puppet in the hands of the Hausa-Fulani Oligarchy (the Kaduna Mafias), I have also raised the major plank to the wheels of progress to the development and full integrations of the Igbos shortly after Biafra that gave birth to the current suspicions the Igbos have against the rest of us when it comes to Nigeria's Polity, but it seems you don't want to address that. Of course, the points you picked from the article are facts too, but this one.....Let me say this again. I did not tackle the report on the basis of opinions or suspicions but on the basis of the 4 cases cited. I repeat: the 4 cases are wrong and misleading. Now, if all the four cases are misleading what do we make of the entire report? |
deeptesting: Except you were born after 1999,I will pardon you due to your age otherwise you should understand without been told that the South East has been unduly marginalized in terms of national infrastructure and it all boils down to the Nigerian Civil war and the policies of military rule, headed by Northerners. However, this is politics and it is left for the people of the SE & SS to come together and fight their common enemy rather than been divided and further pluging the region into a barren land where business and economic activities cannot thrive due to poor infrastructure. Our greatest problem in this country is self denial of issues when it is not in our best interest,we should learn how to stand not only for the truth but also speak the truth because posterity will judge us.Did you see this? Pukkah: My opinion is based on the examples cited by THIS report to arrive at its conclusion. |
biodunid: Which is why Aregbe is building a distinct road from Oshogbo to Lagos which avoids Ibadan entirely and cuts journey time by more than half.Really? That sounds interesting. Has the project started? I'll like to know more about the road. |
superstar1: Interstate roads are owned by FG.Where there is a will, there is a way. The first option is to ask for approval from the FG. I doubt if they would be denied the approval. Lagos got the Badagry expressway approval from the FG. The second option is to break the highway into three - Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo parts. Lagos should do its own part up to Ogun boundary, Ogun should continue it up to Oyo boundary and so on. Will the Federal Ministry of Works prevent this? Oyo state did the road from Iwo road roundabout towards Iwo in Osun state. If this is possible, why can't the second option above be? |

and resign.
