@ All,

A good way of investing longterm now is to buy this Skye PO offer in about multiple places of 5000 units or 10000 units  each and watch your money double in about 6 months time.

You only have to be patient but rest of mind is there that your money go bouble.
I second your opinion fully but the double booster shot of vaccination and innoculation wey I don collect against PO's no gree me at all at all.

Instead I go buy Skye for floor at most at N20 after TS is lifted and collect 70% in that same one year without any over-subscription palava. grin grin grin

please i want to give my broker some commsion for his work, what do u guys recommend, thanks, please check candles oh grin
He he. Dat one go depend on the "levels" of your broker and of course the amount of profit you have made.

Make it clear sha that you are compensating him/her for helping you make that "profit" and will appreciate it if he/she continues to go out of his/her way to keep the "profit" rolling.

My friend gives 1% of his profit. He estimates this about quarterly so it sums up to something reasonable but with a cap of N250K each time. I like the style but I wonder what happens when he makes a loss  huh huh

If this is reasonable or not I don't know. It depends on how much profit he manages to make anyway.

I don't use percentage. Just bulk dash but very occasional. Every day is not Xmas ke.  I prefer to tie my own to good service from my broker coupled with events like birthdays, easter etc so it feels more natural. grin

Whichever way sha I think it is good to take care of your broker even if na with bottle of Gulder or children's school fees. grin grin

IMPORTANT QUESTION

l lost my immediate elder sister recently, very painful.

My question is she bought 35000 units of Access Bank, 10,000 units of Dangote Flour. How can her husband get her returned money? None of them have been returned so far

l will also need the Registrars Addresses of these two companies.

Abeg tell me how to go about it
Sorry about your loss.

The PO prospectus for AP should make interesting reading.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 2:48pm On Feb 20, 2008
Sometimes we analyze too much. Going back some things are so obvious.

See AP. Reason for the mop up is no more than that some folks knew the PO was planned for N250 and continued to buy below that price.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 2:43pm On Feb 20, 2008
Afribank

Avoid analysis paralysis. They have done it before and they will do it again.

If you buy/bought Afribank at N27, you will still make cool bucks between now and just before shares for the last PO is listed.

I think this one is Guaranteed to wrinkle. grin grin

Please Oga Pumping, i need your sincere advise,i have been trapped in G t Bank since September but i am very envious of the fact that you have been doing CICO for the same G T Bank that has been frustrating me.My stock broker bought it at 34 for me,i don't know when to sell as the highest i have seen it gone to is like N37 and if i sell it at that N37, by the time we comot all the charges, i won't not have made anything?Shd i wait after their YEAR END?
Hmm. Just assume this is medium term and wait for GTB's full year results. Since you have waited so long, just wait it out.

There is a good chance of price rally if GTB performs as they have always done. The Q-4 is usually the key for GTB so I advice you wait for it. End of year is Feb ending and once insiders start to get wind of results and it is very good, movement go begin.

You may not even have to wait for the results to be announced. In a couple of weeks you should know where you stand. Good luck sha.

@AKTOPABELA

what r d candles saying on fidelity.
i don dey vex for d stock. I go melt am o!
You need to wait a bit more for that Fidelity. You know there was a sudden price rally to the PO. Plenty profit takers still dey but this will wane out soon. Hold on unless you have a guaranteed place to put the money.

Pumping777 e get one question wey I wan ask o.

I filled out the CSCS form to register for trade alert because these BGL guys are not online. I paid the N2500, handed the deposit slip to the broker and registered online at CSCS. That was about 3wks ago. Wetin I go do now? just siddon look or wait until I get an email from CSCS? BGL confirmed to me that they signed whatever part they needed to sign and submitted the form to CSCS. What do you recommend I do? call cscs or wait? Thanks.
First, I registered at the CSCS website -->

http://www.cscsnigerialtd.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=new_user

Eventually I got an email confirmation asking me to pay. I have to admit this took a while. Possibly up to a month. I can't recall exactly how long. This confirmation is key.

I forwarded the email confirmation to my broker together with the completed access form --> http://www.cscsnigerialtd.com/forms/subscription_form1.pdf

They filled their part and my broker helped me with the payment (Dis part na personal arrangement).

After about 2 weeks I got confirmation that I could now access my account online and I could access my account.

I still did not get trade alerts so I registered at -->
http://www.nse-cscstradealert.com/subcription.htm

After about a week I started getting my trade alerts.

@windywendy - You know you can also access CSCS via your BGL account? The account has been down so you may not know this. If you are interested, send me an email and I think I should be able to show you how to do this pending when you get your CSCS account with BGL activated.

InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 6:07pm On Feb 19, 2008
CCNN - The main problem I have is the rights issue that was done last year at N6.50 when the stock  was on TS at N21.30.  The ratio was 4 for 25.

Since the stock came out of TS, there has been so much selling pressure I guess from those that got from the rights issue. Many folks just got their rights and started selling their main holdings.

No result is expected till earliest April (FY or Q-1).

Short term it is a possible option. It will depend on how good the results are but I'm not very hopeful.

Long term is a no for me. Forward PE is over 160x and you can be hit by over-dilution once the subscribers to the rights issue get their shares credited. That may be the time to enter.

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians

The thread posted above by blueband is sort of contradictory because from what he wrote, he gave mandates to his account officer within 2days to sell his stock then later not to. I am very sure the account officer was effective enough to do the jobbing of the sale-order & the stock had been included among those to be sold on that day's trading before you actually changed your mind about the said stocks.
I believe that Cashcraft being a world-class financial service company follows due process in transacting business deals in the capital market as evident by their track record.
I suggest blueband should always endeavour to relate with his account officer as touching his investment portfolios at any point in time.
Your name come resemble my own. You go dey share your profit with me o grin grin grin

Talk true sha, you dey work for Cashcraft. If not, no vex.

The kin grammar wey you blow above no get anything to do with the Cashcraft wey me sabi. World-Class kini?

I get account for Cashcraft and I still get about N1M left over in my acccount since August last year. I never touch am since after one disaster of an experience. Dem pump (no be pumping I be?) me Fidelity on TS 4 weeks after I ask for Fidelity. Dat na d end of my relationship with dem patapata. I no even wait to know the name of my Account officer.

As you remind me now, and as una no be bank, make I ask my friend to go collect my money kia kia make I carry go.

Ok, I change my mind. I hear say una don improve. I go place one order on your online portal see how una go perform  grin grin grin

Nestle's result is below expectations.

After Q-3 PAT of N4.88B, FY PAT comes in well below the projected N6.5B at N4.88B. A decline of around 3% when compared to last year's results.

AIICo is on a run basically because it went on TS prior to the bull run of last year. So it is just doing its own run now.

On Crusader, well don't be fooled. Crusader did a PO in 2006 @ 1.90 or so. Two years later, they are doing another offer. What did they use the money from the first offer to do? How has that impacted on profit?

And you think those stocks are available? Well, just post a price limit on your orders or else,

Some people must be magicians thinking they can jump into a moving train. You can't stand looking when a train is at the station only to start running after it after it has left!!!!!
Thank you. I was just going to post on this. Aiico is an isolated case.
