Pumping, question for u as a full CICO master. Do u latch onto a stock when the price is rising or dropping? Why i ask this is to verify if i have just been riding on luck for the past few weeks with Japaul, C & I (i never still sell am o!) and CAPOIL. Just a pointer for future CICO moves.
Who dash me a chieftaincy title reserved for Fof2? I no wan hear mutiny o  grin grin grin

I like that word "latch". I no dey buy stock wey dey rise normally and hardly sell one that is falling. I dey try latch onto a stock when buying a stock that is falling in price by setting a bid price lower than todays closing price. The success rate is just average though. For instance, I tried latching onto Platinum today at N27 but it never fell to that price so I know I did not get  huh ??

No major xteristic of FULL CICO be that o. No need to dey do CICO for stock based on yesterday's closing price. 5% can make the different between breaking even and making profit. Na real dynamic business model  grin grin grin

If Platinum drop today, na door wey bin crack yesterday, open today so.

UBA have sound foundamental but the end of year is still very far, or am i missing something here ? getting into UBA now with a loan that will expire in july may be a good judgementhuh , I know IBTC and PHB is still good. What is the best insurrance stock NEM or UNIC or LASACO? These 3 will not be doing PO soon. from this forum i have learnt it is no longer foundamental and technical analysis but should include sentimental analysis,
As na full CICO you dey, make you wait to see todays price list before you start to dey decide. Some new doors fit go open today.

@ty_ademolu - I feel your pain. Pele. Sorry.

I suppose whatever you do cannot rectify the current situation. You ultimate plan will be to get another broker of course.

I have to say though that someone already told us about a broker firm in which only the MD goes to the floor and if the MD is not around your orders stays put.

Come to think of it, some folks will not know if they could be in the same situation because folks usually deal with marketers and have no idea who goes to the floor.

If you could be in this situation, this is the time to find out before you experience something similar.

That was BTW. I think you should patiently wait for the next bull runs for this stocks and sell at that point. This one don happen already. From there, you can move on to another broker. Good luck.

Hey All

Anybody has any explanations on the recently posted Japaul PO allotment? I can't imagine someone who paid for 51,000 units getting only 10,000 units while the other who paid for 50,000 units gets full allotment. Am I missing something here?

Please, gurus in the house, help shed some light on this allotment plan !!!
The same happened with Dangote Flour.

So I decided to go through this thread's history and do a combination of fundamental, sentimental and technical analysis, and come up with a prediction that you can take to the market tomorrow, whether you are a fundamentalist, bomber,or CICOer.

Based on the Hare-Khrishna Candle-light charts below, looking at the convergence of the Kamikaze and the Burakina at the confluence of a Valentine full moon , we observe a bullish run on this thread between Sept 2007 till date, with maximum capitalization reached in January on this thread.

Judging from the MACD-RSI buy and sell signals, I can safely predict that February will be bullish, with pages of posts on this thread exceeding 200 pages in February 2008 alone.

BGL has an online portal? Didn't know that! Anyway, I've never used it and wouldn't know if it's working. I send my mandates by email and follow up daily by both phone and email. I use FSDH more for my bigger transactions and they have an online portal.

Stocks for the 3 - 6mth timeframe?? Hmmm, that's the million dollar question innit?  cheesy I'll have to get back to you on that one.
BGL had an online portal but it's been down since November  huh huh Reason was planned upgrade but I no fit guarantee o.

My premise - They will not be stupid to go on T.S at the same time, we already have 3 on suspension, how many can actually come to the market at the same time?

Last year, the Banks timed it one after the other. I can't remember a time when more than 2-3 companies where in the market to raise funds, everything was staggered sort of.

My thoughts ooo, but may be unfounded.

Dangote dey BUY and SELL to himself. Watch the meagre units being sold.
You are a fanatical fan of Japaul.

Depending on how much you applied for, it is not that bad. Look at FCMB, if you applied for less than 1m units, you get full allottment. So things are getting better with PO's tongue
Ha ha. Una think say na only flour and Cement d man dey sell.   grin grin grin

I bought 20K of FCMB because I was being cautious. I was still a PO green horn (even floor sef) when I bought Japaul. It's the first time I ever tried this.

For Japaul, I applied for 260K units under 1 name so it wasn't good for me at all. Not complaining sha. Win some, lose some.

Mr. Risky:
@Pumping777,  nawaooooo  your statement no de complete againooooo.  You say "Better stocks dey for NSE in my own opinion that meet my objectives." As I de read de go, the next thing I saw was full stop grin  So which stocks at present meet those your objectives.  I know every body will like this my question.  I have one LOUD policy, if I must buy a stock whether for CICO or CICOCELL, it must meet my required list of fundamentals.  So when I buy, I give myself One Year, if any good thing happen before that period, I AM NOT ALLERGIC to profit grin  But to buy stock and expect the price to run by the following day and when it refuses, I begin to develop malaria or typhoid, I am not for that at all.  My personal experience has proved that if anyone buys any stock with good fundamentals, no matter how NSE disbehave, within one year, you must reap something.

So Pumping777, what are those stocks that meet your objectives right now.  I know GURUs are very cautious now.  Some even use Japanese grin  Whatever language you all gurus use, even speaking in tongues, we de de read una lips grin grin grin
The best way for me to answer this question is to let you understand why Oceanic does not meet my objectives NOW. I sold every unit of Oceanic I have in my trading and long term portfolios and thank God I did.

Oceanic is a sound long term stock. However, I don't want to buy a stock today if I can get it around the same price in a months time. For that reason I have no interest in Oceanic now. I will use my money for those stocks that if I don't get today, getting them at current prices go become palava.

So I no talk say Oceanic no be better stock o. They don't get any better but make I go catch the train wey dey ready to depart instead make I siddon inside coach of train wey dem still dey fix the engine grin grin

Dude that was kinna risky!
Anyway NASCON is a ranging stock from now, the technicals will see it move up to 18.50k at the most for this week baring any "sentimentality". I would suggest you wait for it to breach that 19.00k resistance first before a genuine buy signal is triggered. As for the fundamentals i still think it has a good base. Just a matter of time.

As for SCOA, i think you have missed the early m orning train, wait for the correction before you reenter, you could get your fingers burnt if you going short term
PLEASE
@ FOF2, AKTOPGUN, PUMPIN777
anybody have any fundamentals on Afprint and Grommac!
You see we have to distinguish between reasons for bull runs. When a run is due to sentiments or just CICO, then you need to be sure you joined the train early.

When movement is due to fundamentals, it is not as risky as the emotionally laden one and as long as the stock is still undervalued, opt in. This strategy has worked very well for Ikeja Hotels, AG Leventis, Beta Glass and I predict it will work very well for Transexpr.

Correction will come for stocks in different ways. Stocks that are overvalued will drop in price but  those that are undervalued will eventually experience price increase.

A good example is CILeasing. The good fundamental here is the PEG. We had several debates about buying this stock as high as N6.50 in December due to the high PE ratio but folks eventually agreed that because of the growth rate, it was worth the price. The fact has been proven today.

See how Transexpr moved to it's current price. It was undervalued and correction in this case is in the price rising to it's fair value. If you get SCOA, abeg sell to me o.

Good buy for me still. The problem is that suddenly the volume has dried up. I got a large chunk a couple of days ago and thought I could get more but that chunk is even much more than the entire volume sold today.  angry My buy order is still valid with my broker.

i am using 5 EMA so i can easily spot trends, and the 15 EMA to avoid fakeouts!

If i used the 5 with say the 10 the posibility of entering a false breakout would be high.
But if there was a platform that allowed the use of say 4 MA's then it would have been easier to watch trends more accurately

i don't think this is the best time to enter oceanic o!
I suggest you wait for the close of a few more candles
my 5 EMA is turning bearish over my 15 EMA,
even though the lower shadow on the last candle formed a spinning top, a few more days would definitely create a better entry point than now!
The bullish trend correction is not over yet
Oceanic ke? For wetin. Wetin concern agbero with overload? grin grin I can't recall saying I want to enter Oceanic. My friend that I sold at over N37 in January. I don comot eye.

The last jist I gave about Oceanic a couple of days ago was that the bull run of the last week will not last because of the 22B shares outstanding and we can already see the turbulence.

I have no plans for Oceanic for now. Better stocks dey for NSE in my own opinion that meet my objectives.
