As my friend would say - i no dey enter armrobber moto o,Unusual high volume can point to TS being near so be on the look out. I hope not sha till you don finish your business. It is good though that it was not with a price drop. On the other hand, there could a juicy rights issue in the offing and insiders will mop up the shares. No red signal. Just my opinion. |
invisible!:If you are referring to my last post on Afribank, there was no "bonus" rumour in that one. However, there was "bonus" rumour in the one I pasted a day or two back. What I am really highlighting is that these folks are very focused on driving the price of the stock north. Believing or not believing is not important. It might provide the right CICO opportunity. There is no need to wait to hear if there is bonus. A good CICO merchant would have collect his/her loot and bailed. One thing I know for sure though, Afribank price will not be anywhere near N26 by the time the result is announced. Don't ask me why though. I just know that more rumours will follow these ones and the price must rise. Abeg, I am not recommending buying the stock sha o. I have some already but I'm not thinking of buying any more to tell you I am not moved by this rumour or am I ![]() My risk appetite is not so high but I believe others that take the risk may smile. |
Obalende:Con - TS |
See more rumour mongering to push up the price of Afribank ![]() http://www.stockmarketnigeria.com/2008/02/17/afribank-plc-gears-towards-a-superb-year-end/ Check out words like "bumper", "superb", and "bountiful" ![]() This Afribank Management means business o. If the result will be so good, why don't they let us wait for it ?? ![]() Oya broker. Kia kia. Sell all my Aiico and load Afribank all the way ![]() |
ololufemi:I think a good re-entry point presented itself today. Maybe it will even dip further tomorrow making it even better. Everything now depends on how good the result will be. That is the real issue. It's also good to know that the GDR shares are not likely to be credited before the Q-3 results. |
Iwerebor:Many prices occur between the low, the high, the open and the close prices. You won't find your individual sell or buy prices on any site except you bought or sold at the low, high, open or closing price for the day. You should only be concerned if you stock was bought or sold at a price lower than the lowest for the day or higher than the highest price of the day. Your price should be somewhere between the lowest and highest price of the day. Of course I won't complain if it is sold at a price higher than the highest of the day or bought at a price lower than the lowest of the day ![]() |
Is anyone surprised about the daily stock position today? Very few stocks on net bid today. Very different from what we've been seeing in the last few weeks. I hope it is not the fear of the "February 6" syndrome that is reflecting on the market. One thing I have always known for sure is that many times, unreal net bids that can't be fulfilled are placed indefinitely for some stocks just to see the rise in prices. |

mykel09:Aiico has been hard to get since Technical suspension was lifted. Today is the first day in over 2 weeks that the stock experienced some turbulence. I have a bit myself and have put in a order for more since last week but no show. I am hoping I got when the price dipped today since my bid was lower than the closing price. So don't blame your broker. Na d stock. |
For anyone using FSDH spreadsheet to update data note that Cutix has been moved from the 2nd Tier sector to the Engineering Technology sector. Easy to overlook. |
SavvyLanre:Ha. No worry. Better ones still full ground. If you I tell you the good stocks wey I don talk about wey I no get, you go pity me sef. If say I no buy my SCOA first and talk later, na talk I for still dey talk now . Na by talk?I know how it feels when you do your due diligence and identify a kill but you are unable to buy. Unfortunately, many folks look for confirmation before calling their broker. That confirmation call often stirs interest and make the stock scarce. I think everyone should show face on this forum to stimulate even more varied analysis. Operation no more silent readers ![]() |
Highlander:The pleading must also extend to all members of the forum to make themselves visible and contribute so the thread can be enriched even further. Silent readers - Please give so you can receive ![]() |
kc08:If na guguru u mean make I answer you ![]() You have 6 months to 1 year? Dat na good enough time now. I for consider these ones below. No be because I get o. Decide on the one(s) you will go for. I no go mention any kalo kalo stock in the list make the money no go on TS ![]() 1. UBA - Collect make you hold and wait for the promised land. 2. Oceanic - You see it is now dancing back towards that N28. Grab it at that price and "wait". 3. AG Leventis 4. CI Leasing (Yes, I know it is expensive. Catch it if it slows down.) 5. Ikeja Hotel |
aktopgun:No, I'm not. Remember, that some folks adviced jumping into Diamond last week and it was thought that the train had taken off on Thursday with the volume and price movement. You had said on Wednesday that the candles suggest there are still a few more days before the train finally leaves the station. I commented that the candles may have been wrong based on the price movement that Thursday but you've been proven right with the price dip today. Frankly, I have taken more interest in these candles. It is interesting how much information can be deduced from the shape that forms. |
@aktopgun - You be winch jare. see how your candle come shame my comment on Diamond. The flight never full sef. pilot come stop over for Abuja pick up some high fliers I go dey inside jo. The love for candles na the beginning of wisdom. Abeg troway some more candle light not valentine style sha here make man see road for this turbulent NSE ![]() More |
easimoni:Please also say that it will try the N60 mark next week and fail ![]() |

Unity Bank Anyone watching this gradual but determined move? Closed at N9.81 today. The PO rumour/price movement is now looking very real. For those that took the chance, if this plays out, this will be a serious test of greed. To bail out safely or try to maximize profit and end up in TS? |
I was surprised today. I called CSCS to inform them that I don't get my CSCS trade alerts. I have to wait till the following day to confirm my transactions in my online account. I got through first time and some one picked up the phone and promised to have it fixed by today! She was very polite, cautious and answered all my questions. Good service. I've never even thought about calling them before. I was going to ask my broker to sort it out for me. |
son5070:Thank you. I feel better already . |
Salvage:Ha. Don't get me wrong o. You see wetin happen to Crusader today? Na surprise for my friend wey buy 1 million units on Thursday o. I am not dishing the other insurance companies. When my friend bought Crusader, I bought Lawunion and I posted here that I hope they don't go on TS this week o because I plan to bail this week. I can only be sure of those that have done PO. Some POs will come when not being expected. I am just saying my own that, please be careful. Yes, I get Aiico but I have decided I am not selling. I even bid for more Aiico at N5.70 today and maybe I got some during the price dip during the day. Just maybe sha. |
Salvage:Well, it is the only one I am 100% sure of since they have just completed their PO. |
ololufemi:Spring Bank closed last at N5.59 but I don't think the stock is being traded. Did you get an offer for it? |
lawalidowu:Not sure why Transcorp was placed on TS. I guess it will be connected to the Nitel/Mtel sale. |
RoughCut:There is a free service which is just for information purposes. There is also the paid service for about N3,600/Year for private investors which allows you to reverse a sale once you get the alert. |
Has anyone got Diamond Bank GDR credited as ordinary shares? |
upward:yodiyokun hit the nail on the head when she said the insurance sector is a mine field right now. This will only put more pressure on a PO-Free insurance stock like Aiico. |
RoughCut:Thank you my broda. Abeg make we talk na. No need to fear anyone for this thread. Talk am yakata. |
WASKY-WAJA:SCOA closed at N7.78 on Friday. |
